This Tourist Attraction belongs to the category of Park.
We love to go there for a walk or to toss the frisbee around... could get very crowded at time especially on weekends. That play ground has opened but we just couldn't let the kids play on it.
Beautiful place with lots to see. More than one trip needed. The bird houses are amazing! We walked the perimeter and walked through a forest, a clearing, down a ravine, and up again to the playground. The playground was suitable for all ages of children. There are covered picnic tables and uncovered ones for all occasions. I just ask, please take your garbage with you. Especially if you are having a gathering for a birthday party/wedding/etc. The garbage cans are only so big.
It's a beautiful park in the middle of nowhere. It has history of some settlers who came to the lower mainland and developed an area. I love walking through the Redwood trees and take in this unique and breath taking forest. I wish that the original tree house that the brothers who created the park lived in, but the new one built after the original burned is quite similar. Many people do not know of this wonderful park.
Great park. Lots of trails. Pic nic area. Brought our rc trucks lots of great places to trail.
We came to Redwood Park with our dog. Access to parking was easy and we found a spot very quickly. There were lots of large green grassy areas and playgrounds, also many tables with shelters. For sure this is the perfect picnic spot for the whole family. I think the highlight of this park was the special art display, where we saw lots of mini wooden houses made by kids hanging off of trees and on the ground. They all look so colourful. The trails were easy to traverse with our little dog. We had a pleasant walk here.
A beautiful forest and walk; so many fond memories from over the years at this park. I love the decorated little houses placed all over the hardwood trees it’s so lovely and magical!
Great park with a marvelous collection of international trees.
Great park for the kids, and very interesting to see all the bird/fairy houses. We'll be back!
A long trail with a fresh air ..
Great park to walk the dog ???? around or to take your little one. Great playground for all ages. If you want decorate a bird ???? house ???? and bring it there. There's a section of "fairy houses" Have fun
Great accessible playground. Lots of car break ins so DO NOT leave valuables in your vehicle.
We loved it here! The fairy houses are so sweet and our little one loved exploring the forest while also liking the variety of activities to do on the playground. Great for young families!
We enjoyed walking in summer sunset. There's lots of tables and benches, a nice playground for kids, a good 5 km family trail, history signs, but washroom is kind of dirty though. Super love seeing the creative, vivid tiny houses at the "Fairy Forest" tucked in middle of the trail. We'll definitely come back!
Nice park with lots of tables and benches for picnics. Has a great playground and a cute "fairy forest" within the trails
Nice walk with family - kid friendly. Part of the trail is a fairy garden, nice pic oportunity
Loved the fairy forest! Thanks park people for keeping if in a healthy controllable state!!!!❤️
The place was a bit small but gorgeous. Great location for photography and small walks with kids. When we went there 2 of the cars parked in front and behind us was broken into. So safety was a bit of an issue.. Follow me on instagram @myswitlife
This place is so cool. It’s a bit of a drive from me (half an hour) but it’s worth it. The fairy garden area was the best part. It was so cute. This is a good place to spend the day/have a picnic.
Nice park with a nice small play area.
Great park for families and little ones! The paths are accessible although a little more signage on the paths would be more helpful. The map on the entrance is good but some trails are hard to find. It was a great visit for us!
Been to the treehouse story time but there are tons of mosquitoes. The park itself is very picturesque but I don't enjoy walking by attacked by bugs.
Nice park with some history to it. During the walk in the trail you will come across a small field of little fairy houses scattered about.
Definitely worth a visit. Parts are wild and no signs for paths. Great playground for little kids, picnic shelters, meadows, forest, all that's missing is a water feature. And signage. A couple surprises to stumble onto - faery village and treehouse!
Great little park to bring the kids to. If you have an off-road kind of stroller you are good to go. Great for little ones to explore and visit all the little fairy houses.
We usually going to this park for the picnic and a short walk. Really quite and surrounded by nature.
Beautiful park. Great for walks. Has a nice playground for kids. Plenty of large picnic tables for parties.
We love this park! Lots for kids, adults, and dogs to see and do. An all access playground, a story behind the park, a recreated heritage "tree house", and of course, fairy houses in the most gawdy fashion.
Wonderful big park experience in a small park! A gem in the middle of Surrey. We will go back! Play Areas for kids, toilet facilities, and great picnic areas.
Fantastic park, especially with kids. Great for a walk or bike ride with the kids. The fairy garden is awesome and people continue to add to it. You'll leave inspired to come back with your own fairy house!
Fun place. My kids love it.
I went to this park with my family where there was a neatly mapped out trail to have a shaded walk, love the cabin and painted birdhouses. Unfortunately the playground is taped up and not in use, however it has one of the better playgrounds compared to other parks. The washrooms here are also quite clean. I would definitely recommend checking this park out!
Lots of areas to have a small or larger gathering in. Kids friendly playground and is somewhat in the shade too. Go for a wander and find the magical area in the forest!
Found this park through a video on TikTok! Did not disappoint. The park has a variety of attractions, including a treehouse, a fairy garden with bird houses, playground and lots of grassy areas for picnics. Would definitely recommend a visit!
Pleasantly surprised when we went to this park. Great spot for group picnics or birthday parties. The fairy forest is awesome. The trails could be marked better though.
Fun play ground but they never have enough garbage cans so some people just throw their garbage on the ground. Fairy forest is cute.
Never been before! Will definitely be back. Lots of trails and places to play.
Love this place. Alot of trails, large field, covered picnic areas and a playground. The variety of trees here make this place worth a visit. And the fairy village is really cool
Parks and washrooms for the kids with a nice nature walk through old forest.
Great hidden Jem of a park. Lots of big trees and shady trails so summer play isn't too hot. Good play ground for kids. Secret fairy garden is a must see, thousands of fairy houses, super cute and kids love it.
A wedding ceremony in fairies land,it's romantic
Great smaller historical park with an awesome playground, good network of trails, covered picnic shelters, and a fabulous fairy village! Hundreds if fairy homes can be found in this little gem of a park adding to the whimsy of the forest trails. Nice easy walk for everyone.
A pretty, peaceful park in South Surrey. Lots of trees and pathways, picnic spots and playground.
It was a very interesting part. And it was nice to see all the different trees from all over the world.
Poorly maintained or groomed trails. Couldn’t even find them properly. The park itself is very picturesque and has a decent amount of parking available for a weekend. But the walking trails could use some upkeep.
Love this park. Spacious and can never get busy. The playground is nice and there are a bunch of them to accommodate different ages. Different areas for kids, picnics, trails, meadows etc.
Short 10-15 min trails makes a decent stroll with toddlers, strollers, and seniors. There are multiple picnic areas depending on what context you're going for: by the playground, own larger field, views, etc. The diversity of tall trees in the park makes an interesting walk. Other highlights: Meadows, treehouse, stroller/wheelchair access playground feature, vast bird house displays. We'd come here again for the picnic and stroll.
Decent trails overall for the park. Picnic tables and equipment are in good shape. Lots of space despite the amount of people visiting the park. The fairy house display is not marked anywhere on the trails. It's located on the Northwest side of the park inside the forest. Note that there's a hornets nest in the area for anyone with severe allergies.
Love that spot. Great playground for kids too. Always appreciate the vision of the two brothers that gave that land away and had put all those varieties of trees on it. Wish more trees would get planted there still and in the world
A place where you can relax, watching your kids playing around. Great to place to skip the heat. Make sure you have mosquito repellent especially gets more during the evening. Some of the play structures are damaged and not maintained, which is disappointing.
Wonderful park with a great history and a wide variety of non-native trees! Great to visit any time of year. Keep your eye out for the large black squirrel's! The redwoods are beautiful!
Beautiful park with abundant trees from many places - great walking trails ideal in hot days ????
Such a great little park! They have a wonderful little spot for the kiddos with tones of fairy homes. A must see.
We are so lucky to have this wonderful park in our neighborhood. So many to do here year round. Don't forget to pay the fairies' home a visit when you are here.
Love this park not sure how i feel about the "fairy part" looks like a buncha junk but I understand the uniqueness of this part. The story of this urban forest is very interesting and to get a chance to see the 30+ different species of trees even the giant redwoods in bc is very very cool
Beautiful trails and loved all the bird houses, fairy houses etc... I think if I go back I'll collect some of the smashed ones because it makes it look dumpy as it is in some areas... I shall return ????
Beautiful park with lots of trails, play areas for children and places to eat your picnic food. This park was left as an inheritance to be kept as a park for people to enjoy.
Very clean and well kept park. Nice variety of equipment for kids, and lots of trails to explore with little ones. The fairy forest has been a nice touch, but the parks must have "cleaned" that up a bit because there are far fewer houses than there once was. Good place for picnic of birthday parties, but it gets very busy on warm days
A very tranquil park. Lots of identified varying trees. Wide open areas surrounded by large trees.
This park has something for everyone. With plenty of areas for picnics, there is a nice play area for the kids and many trails to explore. There are plenty of fairy houses for the kids to locate and play around letting their imagination soar. This is one park my daughter frequently requests to visit.
Great place to take your kids. Play ground and trails are nice.
It's not very extravagant. But it's a simple layout and the bathrooms were decently clean (always a plus when going with kids). The playground was a lot of fun for the kids! A lot to do on there for them.
Love this park, so peaceful and happiness all around energy. The park has something for everyone, lots of trails to explore. Truly breathtaking views.
A beautiful park with great facilities - playgrounds, picnic tables & shelters, and lovely trails. This park also has a very interesting history to explain the lovely, exotic groves of trees.
Best kids playground! (Sorry no pics of the playground). Wish I was 10 again. Lots of unique and exotic trees, fun trails! There’s something for all ages here. Can’t wait for summer to use their massive picnic zone.
Great family friendly park. Playground is quite large and looks fun. Lots of trails. Tree house is pretty cool for the kids. Many types of trees to look at due to the park's botanical history.
The fairy Village has grown significantly since the last visit here I suspect you to kids staying home from school. Probably about a thousand houses here now the park itself is its same spectacular Beauty lots of activity here with kids and families picnicking and playing. Parking lot is sufficient for Park use but don't bring a trailer here. Super fun for the whole family great way to spend an afternoon
Great place to visit with the kids ????
While this is a really fun pitch and putt. This year the up keep of the course is really poor. I get there is water restrictions but the course needs some water on it. Too dry right now . All around fun times at this course .
It's a very cute place. Lots of nice short trails and a little fairy woods area and a huge playground for the kids. Has tons of bench area to throw picnics!
Lovely park, lush green space, sufficient parking and kids play area with washrooms, loved the info on the trees and the placards kept on the trail paths, the one thing that I will request the city is to pave the road that connects the parking lot to the 20th avenue, not sure why half of it not paved while the other half is.
Many kids bring their own hand made little wooden houses to here ~~
A beautiful forested park filled with information about the surrounding forest. The history of how 2 men had land - logged, ready for profitable production. How they instead planted a forest of mysteries & hidden treasures! ....Like a secret faerie forest .....yes! You heard me!
Very calm and beautiful place to visit Even for evening walk .. beautiful little bird houses..
This has been my favourite park since I was a kid. They provide so much educational value in a eco-friendly way with signs explaining the magic of how this park was created. Search for the fairy house forest along your walk through the trails with one thousand year old trees of all different ethnicities. There is even a tree house, playground, community picnic tables, and many open wide spaces.
Great walk with the dogs. Lots of forest to sniff, and trails to explore! Well maintained without looking groomed. A beautiful place for a walk to get out and clear your head in nature!
Fantastic gem. Lots of unique trees with their card for description. Hidden fairy forest. Lots of playground for kids and areas for picnics
Wonderful park with easy walking paths. Completely family friendly with a decent sized outdoor playground complete with slides, swings, seesaw, and sandpit. Amenities include a public restroom, and many picnic tables, some of which are covered. There are lots of species (many non-native) planted on display and a funky faerie village which gives an "enchanted" whimsical atmosphere to the park.
Great place to visit, the birdhouse area was a lot of fun, but there should be a sign board showing the way to the birdhouse, because it was a bit isolated.
Beautiful park to take a casual stroll in. Whether it be bike riding, walking, or going for a run, it's great. The playground is also great for kids to play in, and there are many spots to picnic at.
Amazing trees. Nice playground. Cool fairy house park. Great day out.
Nice park. Good for small parties. Ample parking. Great for kids and pets.
Beautiful park, great trails. Unfortunately there was a very rude woman on the trail that made our experience a little uneasy by getting in our way blocking us on purpose while going through the trail
truly gorgeous, smells amazing. if you have sinuses, come here.
Nice park for kid to run around. Or take dogs for walk. Would be cool in the summer beautiful trees.
Good place to take the family. There is a playground for the kids to run around and a picnic area for the rest of the family. Also a good small wooded area to explore with the small children- their mission was to find the tree house in the middle of the woods.
Cute park to go for a walk. Huge picnic tables. Lots of shade. Nice playground for the kids. Make sure to visit the birds house area.
The park is beautiful and is set on a large hillside. The main trails are well maintained, although a bit puddly and mucky during wet times. In the winter during snowy weather it serves as a great sledding/tobogganing location. The ‘fairy forest’ with the bird houses adds a touch of character and community to the park as well.
Redwood is a great park and well maintained with lots of trails. There are tons of different species of trees here going back a century. There is also a great treehouse in the middle and a children’s playground. This is clearly one of my favourite parks.
A quiet park for a nice stroll. There is a part of the park where there are tons of bird houses that are place there by people who visit.
It's one of the parks that's pretty close to the South Surrey Grandview Heights area. Has a nice playground for kids and a small trail with lots of shades of you're up for a little walk in the woods.
Originally the home of two brothers this is a glorious park, a little out-of-the-way but still worth visiting. I remember the lovely walks and the number of special trees that the brothers brought here from all over the world. It is an outdoor persons dream to wander through the trails.
Really nice and peaceful place.
Nice park for kids and dogs. But dog owners please LEASH your dog!!!!! I love dogs but unleashing dogs in this park is just your irresponsibility. On Sat morning for a 20 min I've seen 3 unleashed dogs... one of the owners told others his dog is friendly yet the dog somehow barked at ppl lol and there were lots of kids playing... As far as I know there will be nature preschool program opening in redwood park. So please leash your dog for the sake of the children's safety
Kids friendly park. Good spot for picnic. Has playground & ample of parking lots
Have a walk in the trail and visit the fairy village in the park. A must visit if you have kids.
We came pretty late in a day so it was quick walk before dark.. but I can't wait to go there again.. this is a small but wonderful and magical park.. to walk all the trails, you need an hour.. there is a children's playground, picnic area, many beautiful and different trees.. really amazing.
Great playground for kids, restrooms, nice wall through the forest and a cute "Fairy" area where kids can leave a custom fairy home in the forest :) Always ample parking and fairly quiet even on weekends
Incredible fairy village and park for kids. Don't leave valuables in car. High theft area.
Beautiful park! Larches and redwoods and a fairy garden!
Nice park for a walk through the woods. There's also a playground and a pretty grassy area for picnics. BUT the washroom has one of the most inaccessible doors I have ever seen in a public space. The door is heavy AF and the handle is.. I dunno..trying to be bearproof?? Really bizarre..
Redwood park is beautiful in any season but for us fall and spring are the best time from the great playground to the fairy houses on the trails this is a must for us
The park is beautiful! Faeryland is a wonderful place to be with family. Good for light trails with kids and picture taking.
Wonderful park for just about everything. Paths to walk, playground for kids, picnic shelters, easy exploring, and fairy houses!
There's a wonderful playground here for kids, and lots of walking trails for leashed dogs and their humans. The trees are amazing, and many of them are identified with genus/species tags.
I am fell in love with this park. So peaceful and the trail of ???? fairy houses is ao beautiful ????
My family has been coming to this park for years and it is absolutely beautiful. Great upkeep of the forest and amenities alongside a wonderful atmosphere with branching paths of various difficulty for hikers of all experience level to find some fulfillment in. If you're looking for something to do in the Lower Mainland, this park is certainly a treat.
What a beautiful place, brought our grandkids today and they loved looking at all the houses. We now will be decorating some and they want to bring them to add. They have washrooms, playground for kids plus the trails around, decent amount of parking great for a day trip if your looking for something unique to do.
Love this park! Smells great and has nice clear paths, playground, treehouse and fantasy village. Will return
Fascinating, beautiful trees from around the world thrive here. Playground for children, magical faire forest with a re built replica of the tree house that twin brothers lived in throughout their lives.
A lovely park to take a walk. There's all kinds of different trees and even a treehouse and fairytale forest.
This park is really clean and tidy. Nice place for an afternoon walk. Some families were playing hide and seek. Consider bringing a bird house before you go.
Nice place to visit with your familg ....great play area for kids..picnic spot under huge trees.
Wonderful place to spend time with your loved ones, has all the basic amenities too...always enjoy the peacful atmosphere......love it....
We love to take our grand children to this park. What jewel in the busy lower mainland. Nice trails, playground and interesting arboratum
Great park with lots of different draws, from covered picnic seating, playground, gentle forest trails, nice public washrooms, and the whimsical fairy village. A great place to go for a walk with the dog. Plus it makes a great space to have a outdoor get together.
One of the best parks for kids to just run and be kids.
Very nice natural park.
Very cool! The name matches the park very well! The fairy forest is super cute and and very creative. I will definitely give this a good review ????.
Please stop bringing dollar store fairy houses painted with toxic paint and neatly dumping it in the park. It eventually deteriorates and wildlife are affected by this garbage. Take the time to build a house with naturally occurring components and come back every so often to maintain your masterpiece. Please do not teach your kids to litter in our parks.
Went there for the first time in Feb.2019 it was a couple of days after we had lots of snow.. the views are amazing.. Many paths to walk and views to discover. The kids loved it there and will certainly come back many times in summer
Great place to take your dog or meet some awesome furry friends. A beautiful forest with well maintained trails. It also features large diversity native and non-native trees species. Lots of interesting signs to read and digest some knowledge well enjoying a beautiful walk or run.
Great place with a neat birdhouse in the middle of this place. This place has trees from all over the world too. Recommend it
Gret walk with tree houses, tree cabin and nature
Very nice park. Trails and park is very well maintained. Explore the trails and you'll find the Fairy houses.
My young family and I love love this park! The beautiful birds chirping the shade these majestic trees give in the hot weather and my fav tree the tree of life!!! My sanctuary...the only complaint I have is the rats I ran into in womans washroom. Not to scare anyone but there was a huge amount of food and urine all over the floor. This has happened before when I came here..these bathrooms need to be kept up due to the families that come here to enjoy this beauty. It's a shame if I don't come back just because of the unsanitary bathrooms. I had no idea whom to complain to so the only place was a review. I adore this beautiful park and I would love to fully access its facilities when we come with our family. Thanks
Good park that has alot of undercover picnic tables for BBQ and gatherings. There are 32 different species of trees and a treehouse. The children's park has alot of great equipment. We saw a falcon in a tree up close, before it flew away. My only knock is the trails. The trails are great but other than one information sign with a map of the trails you really can get lost trying to find all of them. Not sure why they wouldn't put any markers or signs telling you which of the three trails you are on. It would give people clear directions.
There is a fairy forest it was so beautiful. I liked this place. This park so nice for family.
Beautiful park with lots of covered picnic benches for having lovely family or friend gatherings. Lots of space to spread out. Quiet. Playground area for kids to play on and clean bathrooms.
Such an awesome park, especially during fall. The different coloured leaves along with the treehouse and fairy houses make it an awesome park to walk, take pictures and enjoy nature.
Very nice park for a walk . There is a play area for children not huge but large enough. Interesting History about the Pioneers and Owners of the Park and where all the different species of Trees came from.
Went for a walk here with my husky today. All around beautiful, nice clean well maintained bathrooms, a huge plus. Playground looks nice, I'm sure my kids will love it when I take them next time. Trails were nice, albeit a tad covered in debris and I was hoping it would be a bit bigger to navigate around. But all around really enjoyable. Will definitely be back.
I love this little park, great child playing ground and don't forget to make your own bird house and bring it to there.
Been going here since I was a kid. Very family friendly and super clean. The caretakers do a wonderful job! 4 stars because you need to be careful with your vehicles. Like any other place, do not leave anything of value behind or it may be stolen. There have been cars that have been broken into periodically and it is a popular stolen car dumping ground.
One of the hidden gems in South Surrey. A short drive away is a whole world of fun. From the story of the brothers who started the park, to the nature trails and the fairy houses that seem to go on forever. This is a great little adventure the whole family can enjoy.
Redwood Park is a well maintained, well used park, especially on the weekends. The variety of trees is amazing, with an interesting history, dating back to the early 1900's. Well worth the visit. This area is very relaxing, with over 5 kms of hiking trails for walking. I see well behaved dogs on leashes. All parks in the City of Surrey are "open dawn until dusk", for many reasons. Thanks to the City of Surrey for continued involvement ......
A beautiful Park; well maintained. Only concern was we were warned by some frequent park goers that there has been a lot of theft from vehicles in the parking lot which kind of took away the fun and left us worrying more about our car than about the natural beauty of the park. Great place to walk your (on leash) dog. Good news is the car remained intact while we were in the park. If you are in the neighbourhood drop by and check out this beautiful park.
The Redwoods here are hundreds of years old and tower above us. Air is so fresh and the trails are beautiful. What a gem! Near the entrance there are hundreds of painted "fairy houses" that bring a bright pop of color to the forest.
Beautiful park, easy walking trail, and lots of areas to have a picnic.
Theres a walk with all the trees labeled for education on type and history about the species in the park. A fantastic fairy village the kids loved. Great place for a picnic as there is massive tables roofed and natural feeling suitable for at least 100 guests if necessary. Great play ground for kids and open fields for open play aswell for football, soccer ext ext.
So peaceful. Wonderful walking trails. A multitude of flora and fauna. Great playground for the kids. Fairly well maintained bathroom. Covered tables in case it rains. ????
Lovely medium sized park with covered picnic tables, playground, trails and an epic "fairy village"
Worth a visit in every season. Great park for the kids. Trails for a short walk and coming upon the fairy village feels like discovering a treasure to the young ones. Very good playground too.
Nature at it's best!!! Well kept grounds with a beautiful surprise....the fantasy fairy garden. A must see.
Tree city of Surrey, good size play ground, clean washrooms, lots of walking trails, most of the trees are marked with park history. If trails were marked that would be awesome.
Nice playground speciallyfor toddlers & green areas . With a section of picnic tables & bathrooms. Just wish the parking lot was bigher
A very beautiful park, but the fairy houses have to go. Toxic paint and plastic are horrible for the natural beauty in the park. Please do not teach your children that this is acceptable
It is a big park that has bathroom and big playground. You can find at least 4 shelters around the playground and one of them is like a private area in shade. There is a sand area inside the playground that kids love them specially if you want them not to get wet. Parking is big and you can park along the street as well.
Beautiful park is great for family picnic and party!
Such a great park! Has it all! Playground, quiet areas for picnics or naps under a shady tree... and of course trails and fields for nature walks. Also a cool area of "fairy" homes that is cool for the kids to use their imaginations! (And adults too)
Great place to spend a day outdoors with friend and family for a picnic or BBQ, has an enchanted forest area for you little ones and they can also bring their own to added to the forest collection. Have large covered tables, and playground for kids.
Great park. Easy trails. Love the bird houses in the trees
Beautiful park just wish the trails were marked to match the map. There were no markers and we got a little turned around.
Great Nature trail to visit with the family. The some trees have lovely descriptions , hidden treasures. Good play ground and great place for a picnic.
Pretty cool place to go for a walk about. They have washrooms ????. I drink alot of coffee, anyplace that has washrooms is a win for me. Lol. It was interesting to see, all the different types of trees, you would not normally see in this part of the world.
Its really too bad that people need to bring garbage (bird houses, Christmas decorations) and place it in a nature setting. Some nice short trails that are easy . A playground for the kids an picnic tables. Some of the tables are pretty run down. Gets really busy on a nice day.
Beautiful place for picnic and for kids to play. There are picnic shelters with tables, and they're nicely suited far apart from each other.
Beautiful wide trails with lots of information signs
Bit of a gem for the area. Really enjoyable trails with a great assortment of tree types. The are several fields where you can have a picnic, and there's also a play park for the kids (just wish parents would be better about ensuring appropriate distancing during this time of COVID-19). The fairy forest with all the cute birdhouses is really fun to see, especially when you're there with your kid and you let your imagination run free. Definitely recommend visiting when you want to get away from the daily hustle and bustle.
So surprised that I only discovered this gem of a park situated so central on the middle of South Surrey only now! I've definitely been missing out. There's tonnes of picnic areas for small and large groups alike, a playground for the kids and the trails? Breathtaking. (Pet friendly too) always been nearby and never knew! Can't wait to spend many more days here.
The best park in the summer as it's very shady all day. Fairy houses are nice, but it can get overcrowded with houses quick. I feel like there should be a limit and maybe it needs to be regularly cleaned out. Or specific areas where the houses should be. I don't know, but it gets messy really fast when classes and birthday parties use it as an activity. It can be really fun, but also creates A LOT of waste when weather or people break them.
An absolute gem! Covered picnic tables and bathrooms. Lots of playground space for kids!! We had a blast! Had a birthday party there, and there were as many as 5 today!
Great adventure with the kids, but if you dig nature and trees this is a great place to see trees from all around the world. Such a beautiful place to visit and view the fairy village
Really nice wooded area with plenty of sheltered picnic space. Has a play area for children as well that looks well maintained. Pet friendly.
Short walking trails. The fairy park. Great for the while family! In summer and winter time
Right in the middle of bustling white rock , you come across this provincial park like setting, called redwood park! Quaint, beautiful and family friendly! Couple of trails goes across the town, which I saved for the next time to explore, but the amazing area where people hang the birdhouses, is something to look at and wonder! There’s a play area for children, and a few picnic areas as well. We celebrated our colleges retirement here, and enjoyed it immensely !
This place has everything. Good playground, party space, nice trails, ample parking and cozy little hideaway spots to enjoy the sun
It is a BEAUTIFUL park!!!!!!! There is a fairy garden part way through the forest which has 100's of fairy homes made by many people. There is a playground for kids. Trails to walk on. They have actual flush toilet bathrooms. There are also covered eating areas if you plan to have a picnic or bar-b-q with friends and family. I find it to be the most perfect park.
Small playground ,good for locals but not to drive far for it . We didn't walk to fairy forest because they told us it needs long walking , my kids had scooter and bike and can't use them on trails to there.
Beautiful forest with lots of short trails. We went on a sunny Tuesday and parking lot was full by noon. There is a large kids playground, lots of covered picnic tables and a washroom. It’s a great place to have a picnic after visiting the fairy houses. There are a lot of beautiful trees so there is lots of shade. Would recommend coming with the family to unwind :)
Wow, it is not just an ordinary park, but a magical fairytown hidden in the forest. You can park along the side of Redwood Park entrance way, if the parking lot is full. They also have undercover picnic long tables for those who likes BBQ or Bday party gathering. Kids playground and public washroom are also just around the corner. Above all, the only downside is that, countless mosquitos, better wear OFF! before walking to the forest.
What an amazing little jewel of a park. Your young ones will love the fairytale area that has grown so much these past few years.
This place is absolutely beautiful, I wish I found this park sooner, lots of parking and wheelchair accessible. It's a nice place to come to after dinner, bring coffee to enjoy the nice pathways. Or even bring a bird feeder. Awesome place!
So beautiful and appreciate the story behind it. Fairy house landlords need to take care of the fairies "buildings". Please go back and repair or replace with new :D
A very fun park and the fairy forest is very cute
Always a great peaceful pleasure. The decorative houses always fun .
This place is absolutely beautiful, I wish I found this park sooner, lots of parking and wheelchair accessible. It's a nice place to come to after dinner, bring coffee to enjoy the nice pathways. Or even bring a bird feeder. Awesome place!
Wonderful trails n playground. Even has a special surprise in the forest ;) A great hill for winter tobogganing although make sure you safetly stop at the end!
A very good park for family get together. Shelter for picnic, play area for children, tree house and serene trails.
The picnic area and treehouse area are well-maintained. Interesting collection of trees from around the world. Hiking trails are poorly-maintained.
Great place to spend with family, lots of trails and picnic areas. The fairy garden was great for kids!
Nice park with lots of trail. Playground for the kids and a covered picnic area. Its well maintained.
Never can get enough of incredible trails, the mighty historic cedars and fall colored deciduous. A smallish park that boasts proudly and positions itself appropriately on the top of a hill. Wonderful.
went for 1st time today with grandkids, daughter and son-in-law. There was a huge birthday party happening with more than 20 kids and all the parents. They had made faery houses and were walking all together thru the park area. A bit overwhelming when you are trying to have a quiet walk in the park. Beautiful place overall and loved the names on the trees!
Nice place to get fresh air and have a walk across the wood amd trees. They have a big trail.
A very nice n quiet park with lots of spot with picnic tables. It has a playground near to the parking area which is good for family with kids. Check out the tree house and fairy houses in the center of the park!
Don't go on Saturdays and Sundays. There are too many people. We had a small party in this park on Saturday. Two children with balloons and tatoo painted on their faces came and we gave them cakes. When one of parents in our party took their children to the ballon party area to see how the clown weaves balloons, a parent came to tell us that it was their private party and the balloons were not shared. But we share the cake, that‘s so sad right, a balloon shouldn't cost much,I think the most important thing is that sharing is always happy.
I love coming to this park, it is really large has a bunch of undercover picnic areas, a playground, and plenty of parking. It is very well maintained.
When I came to this big tree, I felt like I was walking into a dream world, and a fairy tale picture appeared before my eyes. I was immersed in this dreamlike landscape, feeling the freshness and tranquility brought by nature. At this moment, the heart is pure and calm.
So awesome to see all the trees marked with what they are. The monkey tree was probably the most amazing living thing that I’ve ever seen. Lots of paths to roam, and a couple kids playgrounds for the kids to break up the walk for them...really really beautiful place. We felt so lucky to have actually gone there! I hope this park is never destroyed of closed down.
Redwood has trails, mystical fairytales houses, playgrounds area, picnic tables, trees, nice spots to seat and get the sun, a house tree to read stories to the little guys. It is an awesome park.
A really cute park. There is a ton of space for picnics and the scenery is amazing. Took lots of photos would definitely come again
Nice place for family picnics. Cute play area . Big picnic tables with shades . Gives a forest look but at the same time have a nice family picnic area
Lots of parking and great trails. Worth the drive.
Great place for hiking , learning various exotic trees, appreciating the kindness of the brothers who created this place for generations to enjoy.
Serenity now is possible in this beautiful park if you stay off the main trails, as it is a truly lovely family oriented park, with a fairy garden and treehouse. The lesser known paths are not crowded.
Just a really nice park with easy trails through some spectacular groves of native and imported trees .
A nice small park for a small walk. The variety of trees was extensive and a lot of the trees are marked with their names. Lots of people take their dogs here and there is a dog drinking fountain that was not actice now as it is winter. The Fairy Village was interesting and something unique to this park.
Great place for kids under 8. Fairy forest is amazing!! The playground is really nice, lots of shade. Easy walk for littles
One of our favourite family parks in Surrey. Has a play area that is suited to all ages and keeps the little ones busy for a few hours. Lots of grassy areas to have picnics and has plenty of shade. I always feel completely relaxed here, must be the surrounding trees! Plus there's nice trails through the forest with a tree house and fairy houses to boot!
One of lower mainlands legendary spots. Good story behind it and how all these foreign species of trees got there. Big playground for kids, tons of trails, theres the fairy garden full of home made mini fairy houses, and the old treehouse. In the fall if your kids are into leaf jumping; bring a rake and this place is second to none. Parking has gotten pretty bad but won't take away from giving it 5 stars haha.
TREES, GLORIOUS TREES! This is a fantastic park and definitely will become one of your favorite places. First, there are the beautiful trees. Premier among these are the incredible redwoods, but also a wide variety of other trees from around the world. There are pathways suitable for all mobility levels, including paved. There is an awesome accessible playground with a wide range on equipment available. There are numerous areas for picnics including sheltered tables. And, there's the fairy houses of course! Literally hundreds of colorful tiny houses are a delight to behold, scattered about the trees and stumps in one area of the park. On a very warm day, the park was so cool and comfortable s there is shade nearly everywhere! And don't miss the water fountain, can you find over 20 different animals in the sculpture??!!
Great place to take your grandchildren for an awesome walk among giant trees. It also has a playground, picnic tables, a tree stump water fountain for people and dogs, fairy houses in the midst of the forest, you can leave your own contribution, and a treehouse. You will want to go back.
A really nice park to visit. Lots of open spaces to have a picnic. The trails aren't well labeled, so it took a few tries to find the fairy houses( might have just been me ????♂️). 10/10 would visit again.
What an excellent medium sized park for a family afternoon! Mostly shaded, with tonnes of interesting varied trees (well-labeled), this park is great for a 30-40 minute walk, and then a spell in the decent playground (some amenities are wheelchair accessible - though the trails are not so much). Some cool whimsical treehouse are also around. Lots of picnic areas (many covered) and a few fields complete the park. In theory there should be more bugs there, but we have been lucky everytime we have gone. Enjoy!
Gem of a park for the tree lovers
Beautiful little tucked away gem, with amazing variety of trees. Great facilities for a picnic or family get together with restrooms, playground and covered picnic area included. Lots of parking.
I love the Fairy Forest. We left a few Fairy houses there. Nice and easy park to walk.
So much fun great place for a walk to picnic
A real gem and so much to do. Playground for the little ones, fairy garden the treehouse and lots of trails all in a forest full of exotic and local trees
Drove past the park so many times and didn't realize it was there. Great place for the young ones and a great walk in the woods.
Awesome park love all the different trees. The fairy house area is pretty cool
Had a great time with Grandchildren. Love reading tree types. Fairy garden was fun. Play ground was great for many ages. Saw other grandparent returning with older children laughing and experiencing old times again.
Fantastic park woth beautiful trees
Best day ever! I cant even believe that there is such a magical fairy forest so close to me! I cant wait to add a house or 2. I wonder who started this, best idea ever
Amazing park with so many little trails and then the little bird houses were beautiful
It's a wonderful park with interesting terrain and fascinating trees. There is a good kids playground and lots of picnic structures. See if you can find the collection of fairy houses! Portaloos, but no bathroom structure.
Great place to take a walk, walk the dog, or bring the kids. There is a playground with restrooms nearby. Easy walking on the trails.
Lovely place to walk your dog. But it's getting messy. Too many fairy houses broken everywhere. Needs to be cleaned up. Since covid it has taken over the forest floors.
Very quiet and private family picnic park. Will be ideal for small family function. Also very good walk
An amazing little park to take little ones! A flat trail that loops between a 'magical faery forest and various meadows. A nice sized playground with picnic tables and green space. A little slice of heaven
