This Tourist Attraction corresponds to the category of Park.
It was my first time come here and that too on a rainy day. Regardless, I thought it was so beautiful and the views are breath-taking. I can't wait to go back there on a sunny day. It is a great spot for picnics, walks along the beach or the road. There is even a playground for kids to play in. It's a beautiful park right by the ocean!
Rocky adventure. Many paths to discover. Cliff side walking. Wiggling seals sunbathing on the lower rocks if your lucky. Stunning at dusk/twilight.
Love this park can sit and look if at the ocean for hours.
A bit small but still full of fun for climbing.
Incredibly busy on a Sunday. Lots of stuff for safety and to inform the tourists but can spoil the atmosphere and view. Not the Whytecliff I remember from when I was a kid. Still a pretty great view but can be better in other locations.
Such a beautiful place to picnic, and enjoy the grounds. Not a good spot for those who are afraid of heights!
West Vancouver great spot for walking, hiking, picture taking. Only 30 minutes drive from downtown Vancouver.
Nice and beautiful, Nice and beautiful, But without amenities and need more lights for evening
Beautiful park - not stroller friendly! Not a bad hike downhill though
Literally at the end of the road (Marine Dr.), this gem of a park is great for those seeking quiet and solitude. The best part, IMO, is Whytecliffe Islet which becomes a peninsula at low tide... if venturing, make sure you consult tide charts prior or you may be calling for an aquatic ride back to shore. Whereas, the beach is in a shady cove the islet is out in the open with 360 degree views, the salty breeze in your face, mama seal offshore with her pup (I think we saw an otter as well), and nary a soul around... at least at 8:30 in the morning. Unfortunately, the washroom facilities were not in service and the concession was not open. Otherwise, a great place to hang and unwind.
This is a great place you have a playground, beach, walking ways, tennis courts and picnic area together. Parking always busy especially in summer but still an overflow lot available.
Nice place for a sunset. Beautiful view, you have to jump & climb over big rocks to reach the top of the cliff for a good viewing point. But it's worth it! …
You can take your dog here and also your partner to enjoy the nice ocean view! Amazing grass for picnic too. Generally speaking, it is a quiet place to relax with your loved ones. You can do picnic, walking, sunbathing, and lots more!
The local hotspot for diving. I went to complete my open-water certification this weekend, onto a good start. Lots of wildlife, bald eagles, starfish and so much more. Nice drive out there too! Plenty places to walk around, various trails and a rock bridge out to an island to climb up. Get to it! :)
30min drive from Downtown Vancouver, but it is a great getaway. Beautiful picturesque scenery, photographer ideal spot. Plenty of wildlife in and out of the water. This is an open water diving spot so weekends are busy and not enough parking. Plan visit during the weekdays.
Most Beautiful Vancouver Park in my opinion!
Nice relaxing park with all amenities and lots of parking with the overflow. Nice views from the top. Playground and bathrooms on site.
Amazing views of the ocean. Whales and eagles can be seen here. Lots if swimming and diving too. Cliff jumping is dangerous but people do it here, please don't. Washrooms, a concession, playground, covered and open picnic tables. Clean and regularly patrolled by parks. Good place for kids, theres a playground and lots of neat rocks on the beach.
Great view and a lovely place to do nature photography. Have ample of free parking space and not difficult to reach there by driving.
A must see! We spent hours (4) down by the water. We checked tide charts, went at low tide and found so many sea stars, blue herons, a sea otter and if your willing to get dirty and flip over rocks, tons of little crabs. We climbed Whytecliff rock for a magnificent view of the ocean. Maybe 15 other people were mulling around so compared to other sites it was quiet. Go! You will love it!
Awesome place, especially during low tide, people can walk to the island. There is also a playground near the parking.
Probably the worst place to go on the weekends. Not worth it. If you’re from downtown vancouver, just go to English Bay. If you’re from surrey, check out White Rock. Coquitlam? White Pine is your best bet.
Beautiful place and great view and amazing that we can hiking when daylight
Great sunset views with plenty of nooks and crannies to find a quiet spot in the sun for a private picnic. A great spot to end a bike ride along marine drive. Now if only the filming off Arrow would stop for a day or two so you wouldn't have to park in the overflow constantly. At least it's free!
Beautiful park with a fun rock-hopping walk out to the island. Great time!
Took my open water diving course here. Very nice park. Open green spaces with picnic tables. Concession stand. Playground for kids. Shell & pebble beach. Not to busy when I went. Lots of life under the water as well!
Impressive atmosphere. You even can see Santa diving there during the Christmas.
The walking trail isn't something to write home about but the view from the little island you can climb onto is AMAZING. My friend and I sat on top of the rock and just relaxed facing the ocean. Would definitely come back again.
Beautiful place. Enjoyed it.
A great place to see the sunset and stargaze! I would recommend those who want to bring a girl here. No hiking just walk into those viewpoints and you would get such an amazing view! Around 50-60 minutes from city to get here. Parking may be limited since it is a popular place. Nevertheless, it is so worth it to come! Bring your date and impress them!!!
It's a lovely place with wonderful views for relaxation, swimming or taking photos
Very nice view of the water on top of the rock! Watch out when the tide comes in as a lot of the rocks becomes submerged
Great views but parking is limited and tough to find in the summer.
Beautiful park with amazing views of Howe Sound and Bowen Island. Also a great place to watch the sunrise! Can get very crowded however, so would recommend visiting during off peak hours.
Beautiful park with a beach and rock formations to climb up. Great visibility on a clear day.
One of the best places you can spend your weekend day there its allowed to have barabecue, washrooms and some cafes there
A very beautiful little village just outside of Vancouver. Great for hanging out with family.
Great spot, pretty small beach area so go early and keep some respect in your pocket!
Beautiful. We came here to hike but it was tough to find the trail since there weren't any signs, but easiest access is through the overflow parking lot or if you enter into main lot, walk past the playground uphill.
The best park near Horseshoe Bay
Amazing experience..!!! You can get on top of rock/ mountain and when you get there, you see this gorgeous ocean view and on a distant you see some islands!!! Its just breathtaking!!????
Time of day and tide definitely affects where you can go. The views are amazing and you might be able to catch a glimpse of seals and other animal presence. Be careful on the rocks though, one wrong move could be deadly.
Beautiful place! Lots of picturesque views!
Amazing place where we had a picnic before climbing on the big rock. Sad it was crowded that day, when you want to rest in nature and some people are speaking out so loud and even screaming, it ruins the peace of it.
Very nice place to hangout with friends and family. Many people visit this place during summer and early fall. So be ready for the long line for parking. I also wouldnt recommend parking in "no parking" areas. I've tow trucks just waiting for their next victim. The beach is pebbly so be sure to wear proper foot wear. Theres a small hill that you can hike and take insta worthy photos. Also, the view is breathtaking especially during sunset.
Amazing! A cozy place to get relaxation with beautiful beach and spectacular viewpoints, strongly recommend to others ????
It was bit crowded but I love the views.close to transit if you don’t have car like me maximum 15 walk to the beach from bus stop.
What an awesome place. I loved the view of the ocean from on top of the rock. You would notice BC ferries passing by .There are benches up on the hill for you to sit and relax. The only drawback is limited parking like any other popular park or beach. If you are lucky you might get a spot in the overflow parking. You could easily spend couple hours here. The beach area gets crowded though however on top of the rock you should be able to secure a spot.
A great park with lots of areas to explore!
Beach? Check. Swimming? Check. Climbing? Check. Picnic area? Check. Gazebos? Check. Playground? Check. Green meadows! Check. Scenery? Check. Plenty of activities and accommodations in this park. It also has bathrooms and free parking.
Great park to just chill and for a walk.
Awesome place to got for short walk and wonderful view point. Can have picnic at the beach or up at the view point. Just gorgeous nature and great place for family to go for a day trip. Can swim or go for scuba diving if wish to explore ocean down deep. Would go there definitely again as well I recommend to everyone to go and enjoy...
Beautiful views, even better if you climb to the top of the cliffs. We went late afternoon on a weekday so made sense that parking was not busy. Well-kept area, my only issue is that the washrooms were closed! I would assume for them to close when the park closes but we went at about 5pm.
Amazing park for the whole family, but you have to be there early, otherwise you're not going to find parking!
Sweet Place. Parking can be tough, make sure to park in designated stalls - Police frequent this park and a lot of tickets are handed out for both parking and open liquor. Once you manage to actually manage the zoo that is parking there's a wide variety of spots you can go to. The grass near the parking lot is great for BBQs and the beach gets good sun through the day. The island is accessible at all times BUT once high tide comes the rocks become submerged so make sure to keep an eye on the tide if you're on the island. Better yet check a tide chart because otherwise you'll be swimming back.
Still the same coolness as the 1st time I saw it 49 years and counting
The most beautiful place with a great view.
Beautiful park. the grassy area has a kids play area and some open areas to let the kids run around. if you go down behind the concession stand, you'll get to the beach. it's a rocky beach, but the point most people want to get to is the little island during low tide. it's not too bad getting up, but coming down, do be careful. Probably not for older people or people with toddlers. once up there, there was some nice open views, you might even see the ferry coming in. on a hot day, i'd suggest parking in the overflow parking (overshoot the park and there is a turn off just on the right side). it's not that much further but it's much easier to get a parking spot in the shade. better than going back to a hot car.
Beautiful place and a great location to spend the day with the family. Breathtaking views!
My favorite place anywhere on the coast, Whytecliff park has it all. Picnic tables, rocky beach, shaded lookouts and, of course, the great little hike up the rock. I suggest going during low tide as there is more to explore and it's easier to get to the big rock. It is not uncommon to see seals sunbathing and I have seen scuba divers in the bay every time I have gone.
Just a great west coast park with an awesome little trail and if you get low tide you can scurry over to the big rock! Bring good shoes (don't need to be hiking shoes, just good runners with grip) and enjoy the views! A family favorite :)
Very nice park! Limited parking though when it's busy
The park is very famous for its scenic rocky beaches hiking trails and underwater diving area. The park is located on the west side of Horseshoe Bay, covering an area of about 40 acres. The entire park is surrounded by water on three sides and is about 70 meters above sea level. Everyday dozens of diving, swimming, sunbathing, free climbing, sampan and kayak lovers gather here, yachts and sailboats as well. It is worthy of being a water park. There is a playground that children like in the park. Staggering along the rugged coastline, it takes about 2 hours, stepping on large and small pebbles, balancing your body, and it is full of joy. on the way, you can always see the blue sky and white clouds in the sky, the mountain scenery in the distance, the sailing boats in the blue ocean, and the divers near the sea from time to time surfaced. When the tide is low, you can climb on Islet Rock. I like to stand on it. It feels like the edge of the sky and the sea. The scenic mountainsand, passing yachts and sailboats and the beautiful white waves are drawn on the water offer you a spectacular views to enjoy. Seagulls hover in the air and sing. Breathing the warm breeze from the sea, it’s very pleasant. I love diving in the ocean, no gravity, no weight, absolute freedom, flying like an astronaut exploring a whole new plant
Definitely worth the pit stop if you’re heading up the sea to sky highway or need a cool spot to hang out for the day. Parking is limited but if you wait there’s almost always someone leaving after a couple minutes wait. Really good place to see some sea creatures, I’ve seen star fish and seals here. There’s also lots of benches.
This place is really worth a visit, without a car it's not the easiest but do-able taking a bus to the ferry terminal and walking around 40ish minutes slightly uphill the majority of the way. I didn't expect it to be as busy as it was, but I understand why. It is beautiful and a lovely place for sunrise/sunset but make sure you get there early, the car park is very full and packed with people all around the beach area and also check the tides!
Beautiful views, easy access to the beach, fun trails for different levels of skills. Calm waters, ideal for standup paddling and kayaking. Lots of parking space. Great place for families. Picnic area and public washrooms
Went here to take photos at sunrise. Well, the sunrise couldn’t be seen but the location is still absolutely gorgeous and definitely should be visited by any photographers or people just looking to relax and enjoy nature.
Great place to take the family. Hard to find parking if u come late but beautiful place
Wasn't too busy, enough space to maintain social distance. And always views were nice.
Such a gem here in BC!!! Lived here my whole life and didn't know about the spot! Great little hike, amazing views! I even saw a seal sun bathing on a rock, I got up close to it too!! Beautiful place to visit!!
Pretty park. Lots of picnic tables. Visited in February. Cold and cloudy day. I imagine it's great in summer.
Very majestic location. Once I came here and saw a pod of orcas circling this little rocky outcrop. It felt like something out of a dream. This is also a very popular diving spot - lots of wetsuits and oxygen tanks around. Parking is limited, especially during the summer months. It can get very crowded. The beach is not actually sand but has pebbles, rocks and uneven surfaces to be noted for the elderly or those with mobility issues. It’s a very romantic sunset spot and a great place to picnic.
Beautiful for scuba diving, or a walk along a West coast Beach.
This is one of my favourite parks in the area, wonderful place to sit and watch the waves and relax. Lots of seals in the water as well that you can see from the beach. Beautiful spot to catch the sunset and it’s often not too busy.
Amazingly gorgeous! If you like exploring and climbing over big rocks with a gorgeous view of the water and islands in the background you will like this place. Lots of area to explore. You can walk across boulders and logs during low tide to climb up a small mainly rock island which gives a stunning view including ferries coming into horseshoe bay. We saw seals in the water. It is very clear water with a pebble and rock beach. A divers paradise. There is ample parking and a nice playground for kids, with picnic tables and public washrooms. My dog was with me but i don't think it is a dog friendly park though my pooch wasn't the only one. We arrived in the evening and left after dark but I'm looking forward to returning and making a day of it
A beautiful park with lots of nice settings and a beautiful beach. You can hike to this island if you time it right. The concession stand is pretty good and surprisingly affordable too!
my childhood park. Irreplaceable sense of peace and calm. I don’t have much to say, just that an hour at this park refills me with life I hope they never take down the playground in the park too:)
stunning view! be careful when it’s high tide
So beautiful getting close to the seals
Beautiful place to visit. Looked more like a favourite spot for scuba diving. The overall terrain was amazing beach, rocks, mountain type hiking. It had bench’s placed all around the high places to sit and enjoy a quiet view of the sea and Islands. There was a staircase to the bottom between two very high rocks that lead to a super mini beach ????
Spectacular waterfall... Great park with lots of trails and climbing opportunities along Horseshoe Bay
If you go during low tide you can get lucky and spot some of the natural sea life such as sea stars and urchins. Also super cute seals hang out around the cove dive spots and greet the divers
Fantastic spot. Brought my three young kids here, it's very kid friendly. Parking lot is located right by the access to the beach and close to the playground. The view at the beach is spectacular, and it's never so busy that it feels crowded. Great spot for a picnic.
Great place with an amazing view. There is just one shared picnic table at the Whyte cliff lookout point which is good enough to grab a snack.
Amazing place to watch the sunset, marine life and ferries sailing by. There’s a cool island you can get to when the tide is low. But wear proper footwear because some of those rocks are slippery.
Fantastic ocean views!
Nice short little trails, great for kids.
Amazing park with excellent views. The parking is close by and a short walk to the ocean. Located in beautiful West Van.
Lovely seal and some views at White Cliff Follow my IG @NEON.LIGHT.GODDESS
I love coming here. Great picnic area and views over the Howe Sound and Bowen Island. Lots of seals can be seen here.
Good park, would reccomend going at low tide to be able to go up the rock.
Lovely spot with beaches, parks, ice cream stands, lots of outhouses. You can explore the bluffs or take an easy trail. It’s always packed with people and hard to find parking and that’s my least favourite thing about this spot.
Peace full environment and great place for sunset.
One of the most beautiful areas to enjoy the water by kayak, paddle board, it as a swimmer.
Beautiful views comparable to the lighthouse park. Loads of free prking and public washroom.
Not very far, from the city, but you really can go much far, into the beautiful natrue.
Such a beautiful park that on nice days it's too busy for me, personally. I love going there however, when it's a little cold or rainy I just make sure we dress comfortably for the condition. Awesome place to find some peace away from the overcrowd.ed city without having to road trip out of town
Wonderful parc, especially enjoyed climbing the rocks facing the ocean.
Beautiful park with sandy beach and lots of room to play, stroll or relax.
Love this place, great views, great park.
This park offers a really good view on Bowen Island and Vancouver. There's a grass area, perfect for children and/or picnic, there's a sand beach and cliffs. It's easily accessible, parking is quite big for such park (there are actually 2 parkings). Climbing the big rock is always amusing. Be careful of the tide and make sure you have time to go back to the shore. It's a nice spot for drone pilots, you can easily find a spot where there's nobody to safely take off.
Really we love this park and beach is so clean and quiet, beautiful landscape. The park have picnic zone, playground and washrooms.
Great place to watch a sunset or just roam about a rocky shoreline. We heard you can walk out to the island during low tide. there's public washrooms that are well maintained and a kids playground. The only drawback is that there is limited parking and a destination by car for most so if you don't get a spot it can be challenging having to wait or park further. Well worth the trip to see though. Pack a lunch and enjoy the day here! You won't be disappointed.
Beautiful place to watch sunset and twilight sky!
Really amazing place to hangout!!!
Peaceful hidden beach in West Van. Thats a really nice spot for u and family enjoy bbq party, swimming & sunset
In a region studded with parks with great views, Whytecliff Park is superlative. Looking towards Bowen Island you can watch ferries thread their way across the blue waters. Green stretches from the shoreline to sky along tall mountains. And the rocky beach has tide pools to explore at low tide. What more could you ask for?
Beautiful British Columbia living up to its name. Amazing beach. Seals swim to the shore.
Such an amazing look out in West Vancouver
Amazing place with great views - filled with so many great memories for me. I can't tell enough people to go check it out, you could kayak to bowen from here too.
The trail starts at the Overflowing parking is super cool, pretty steep rocks on some areas , bring strong flash if you are going at night.
Mesmerizing Beauty of the untouched ocean.
Great spot for walking around. Watch for seal in the bay and the occasional elusive scuba diver.
Beautiful place. Nice to walk around with some hot tea or hot chocolate. Plenty of parking spots here and there. Also there were Heated washroom.
Rocky beach, nice views, and not much parking
Another West Van gems. This is a great family place. You can set up picnics in the park or grab a beach towel and find yourself some space on the beach. All amenities nearby including a cafe. Parking was full but there is a overflow parking lot so not hard to find a spot even on the weekend.
A lovely park to visit and birdwatch. It can be very busy during the summer and the parking lot fills up fast. This is also a great place to bring a picnic of frisbee. Family friendly location. This must be an excellent spot for diving, as you'll see divers year round.
Nice place not too busy When Tide is down you can make it to the large rock/island and hike it. Swimming is good but rocks not sand. Also you can spot wild life here!
Fun to explore. Slippery rocks at times and beach can get crowded. But it can be an easy 20 min exploration and views are great!!
The picturesque Whytecliff Park, sitting elegantly beside Horseshoe Bay, is this park at the end of Marine Drive in West Vancouver. It is actually located at the junction of Howe Sound and Georgia Strait, so there is a wealth of marine ecology. It is no wonder that Canada’s first maritime protected area is here. Standing on a hill in the park and looking to the southwest, there is a clear blue sea, very beautiful. If the tide is low when you come, you can also walk along the pebble beach to Whyte Island, a small island in the sea, but don't forget to go back and ignore the rising tide, because when the water level is high, this pebble beach becomes a vast ocean , If your water is not good, you can only call the boat to rescue
Amazingly stunning park. Easy hike with beautiful views of the islands.
Good parking, great views. Nice place to watch the ferries pass by.
One of the most beautiful places to go!!!
; Beautiful drive to Whytecliff Park. Good amount of parking. Beautiful park for picnicking. Little hidden pebble beach.
Beautiful place with spectacular views
Nice park with great views and a relaxing beach
One of our favorite spots for a swim! A gorgeous setting but bit rocky so sandals or water shoes help. Great park up the way for kids to have a swing or slide. Plenty of space for picnics and bbqs.
An amazingly cute spot with grand views, interesting paths and even swimming access. Loved coming here and browsing the area. Apparently you can even spot wildlife and cross to the island nearby when water levels are low!
What a beautiful surprise this was. Everything about this place is just magical. It’s so nice to see people out enjoying their day. From sunbathers, kayakers, scuba divers, paddle boarders, boaters, hikers, sail boaters and instagrammers.
Beautiful beach with a scenic view . ...
Beautiful place for kayaking and swimming.
My daughter and I headed up there this morning for a quick city getaway and some peaceful ocean views. A cup of hot coffee, some good music, and make sure to take the slow scenic drive.
Beautiful park outside of YVR. I saw it on an episode of Once Upon a time and wanted to come here. There was no-one around. Peace and quiet
Parking during peak times always seems to be a problem….other then that , a fantastic way to spend your time , with various kinds of spots available….. from park like picnic grounds to an awesome beach and some rocky trails with very rewarding views !!
Nice place for hiking and outing. Parking is less though
Great little spot. Saw starfish, crabs and seals. When low tide, you can go to the little island.
The view is breathtaking and the sunset view is perfect. I love the beach which is more rocky than sandy. The picnic area is clean and the cafe closes late and serves really good ice cream
One of the most beautiful parks in all of Vancouver. Check the tides and go at low tide so you are able to walk out to the little island.
Perfect place for swimming in a cristal clear water...its a good place for diving as well...jump from rock to rock and explore small island...its a really nice view...if you get lucky you can even see some orcas or seals...:)
Great park with amazing views and a picnic area. Climbing up the little islet was fun, can be slippery in places. there's a small cafe too.
Really awesome views and a little bit of rock climbing if you're into that
Great place to relax at with family. Good view of the sea
Very beautiful place for walk with your family and there you can find a lot of places for wedding ceremony;)
Very pretty park/ beach with lots of places to sit and take in the views or have a nice picnic together. Parking is definitely an issue and we did see bylaw out giving tickets. There are many open spaces wasted that could be parking spots but are blocked by big rocks. The city needs to do an overhaul of the parking situation.
This place is heaven on earth! This is a paradise wonderland for anyone who loves nature. The views are outstanding. See trees, oceans, islands, wildlife, BC Ferries, boats and ships of all kinds. Walk to view points, or crawl over boulders and cliffs to experience memorable adventures.
Such a wonderful place, stunning view, I climbed the rock and wast quite funny and challenging. It's like a tiny Paradise.
Beautiful scenery and open spaces. The little islet was so fun to walk out to- just make sure to go out and back during low tide to avoid getting wet.
Gergous place to picnic hike around. I enjoyed this place even thou I'm afraid of heights lots to see incredible views. Well worth it.
Peaceful beach. In the low tide, you van walk on the rocky bridge towards the tiny island. Lovely place
Great views. Small, protected rocky beach area. Great for swimming & diving. Lots of nice lookout points. Grassy picnic areas with shade + clean washrooms.
One of the hidden gem to visit when got board of city vibe
Sighting wild lives like sea lions, eagles. Place where lots to enjoy: hiking, family picnic, biking swimming. Visitors have lots of water sports : scuba diving, swimming, canoeing, windsurfing, standup paddle boarding.
I love this place. It's not that crowded. Although it's hard to find a parking spot. They've opened extra parking on the side. Have to walk a little bit. The beach area is not that big but I like that you can climb to the rock in the middle. They've recently got new washrooms unlike before it was just small dirty one. I think it's a good spot for underwater diving and jetskiing. I see some people that day.
This is a very popular scuba diving spot with very nice views and some trails along the rocks. Lots of wildlife abundant in this area as well.
This place is so cool! You can climb to the top of the rock, walk along the pebbly beach and set up picnics!
A great park just away from the city. Next to the water, there are enough spots to spend some time with your friend and family in peace. Also, a small hike to the island is very interesting. It can be tricky to come down from island but its fun.
Just a great west coast park with an awesome little trail and if you get low tide you can scurry over to the big rock! Bring good shoes (don't need to be hiking shoes, just good runners with grip) and enjoy the views! A family favorite :)
One of the most stunning places in Vancouver! Great to watch the sunset or go for a walk!
One of the unique places in Vancouver - must see cute little park. It has an unparalleled view - the ocean, islands, some houses, ferries... Excellent place for photos. Most exciting part - one can climb to the island itself through chain of rocks. Be mindful of the tide! Why 4 stars? It's a victim of its own popularity - almost impossible to find parking spot, lots of people (even during Covid times).
Beautiful spot, great for diving or just relaxing on the rocks!
Very pretty. Saw harbor seals and some scuba divers from the shore.
We went at low tide and saw lots of neat things. There were a lot of people scuba diving here. The land bridge to the little island was a little too challenging for the older people in our group, bit the kids really enjoyed it.
Lovely place to go to. Be sure you get there early so you can park or else you'll end up in the overflow parking. This is true for weekends and holidays. Nice and quiet place to relax and enjoy the day. There are 2 sets of washrooms, one close to the shore and another one near the parking lot. Not many picnic tables so if you're a group, you can bring your own or just bring a mat. Many places to sit and enjoy the scenery. There were some who used this as a jump off point to scuba dive.
We watched the sunrise and it was so beautiful. Quiet and calm place to watch the sunrise.
Perfect Getaway on a sunny day. Mountain, beach & rock
Cool little park and very peaceful. One thing to note...if you go over to the big whyte rock, be sure to be aware of the tide to get back. It created quite an adventure for us as the tide came back in! Saw a sea otter and a little harbor seal though which was cool.
Whytecliff is a perfect getaway for a sunny day especially the views surrounded by the park is awesome. You will feel so refreshed with the atmosphere in the view point. If your lucky enough you can also view some marine life.
It's a very beautiful place but apparently you need to have car to get there unless you walk for 20mins each way. It has some nice corners that you can discover!
One of the best located park, be early there if you want to find paring spot, 50-60% parking spots occupied by diver's vehicles
Perfect little cove to splash around in the ocean. Popular local dive community. Limited space on actual Sandy beach area but plenty of space on grass for bbq picnic... Washrooms are decently clean. Get there early... There is limited parking and it is likely you will end up circling the one way parking lot
The park close to the bay, near water with cliff to hike, it's very different from other city parks I've been. You all should go camping or host event there once. Perfect place to chill too. ????????
Beautiful!!! The parking situation is an issue! Not many spots and this places tends to be a popular location.
Beautiful nature, so much tranquility in here.
The view is more than wonderful and there is a beach where you can swim in the ocean
Went to this place with my dog, there is a small area that dogs can go off leash but the main area they have to stay on. The main grassy park area was good and the cafe food was very good. Worth the visit, but not a regular place to go with the dog.
You will find a surprise at one of the pictures. It is a lazy ???? sea lion. Haha so cure. Really nice place to chill and have a nice picnic with your friends. Put a lot sunscreen, I got deeper skin colour after the visit.
Amazing views. Bring good hiking shoes for trail walking. Some parts are a bit rocky. Nice picnic areas too.
Nice place to visit. Short walk to the beach and the nice view from standing on the summit of the rock. We saw a couple seals enjoy the sunbathing on the seashore.
First time there and it was well worth the short drive from downtown Vancouver (25 minutes with no traffic). Climbing the rock was fun and it was a pretty easy climb. But the view...!! Washrooms are relatively close by as well as a concession stand that is only open during the summer.
out of a dream and into reality i love this park the trees the water the beach the rocks the atmosphere, something about this place brings me to another place in my head. this has always been my favorite park ever and its a dream to walk through and just sit out and watch the boats and people, very tranquil
After a very long time... back to this small spot of paradise in West Vancouver few minutes away from the ferry terminal. Always gives me that relaxing feeling, enjoying the ambiance and the view.
Local popular place. Lots to do here! You can go for a swim, sit on the beach (which is not too big), have a picnic, rock climb, dive (saw divers with all their gear and oxygen tanks!) hold professional photography shoots (saw like 3 happening when I went) and just chill out. Also a perfect place to see the sunset!
Fantastic area !! Beautiful scenery sail boats all different color sails wonderful to watch. Water warm.
Great views and nice beach. Hard to get parking on busy days
Other than needing more parking spaces, the place is amazing. Tree filled park near the coast line with beautiful areas to have picnics or celebrations.
Very nice view m! Definitely going back next tine.
It was nice, spectacular views, kids enjoyed the water, grassy ground and the playground, we also got to climb up on that little rocky island.
This is an absolute destination! Such a beautiful location and absolute treat to see. There are amazing viewpoints on either side and many areas for longer walks and trails. Also you have an opportunity to see some seals which is cool
Beautiful beach and scenery. Worth the trip!
This beautiful park has amazing scenery. If you like level paths this is not the place for you. Definitely bring out the hiking boots/shoes. There is lots of parking but spread out. There is also a playground for those with small kids.
I can't wait to return in winter. This is such a lovely location with crystal clear water, and good for ae seal spotting.
Extraordinary place to go hang out or to get to stop by at any given time. Best card when low tide so you can go to the White Cliffs Island. Lots of cool scenery and Wildlife around I must view
Awesome park, lots of places to explore, parking spots are limited but really beautiful park!
Unbelievable birth of a baby seal. Beautiful scenery and swimming area. Great playground and fields for picnics.
For the longest time I told myself Whytecliff park wasn't worth going to because I assumed it would be crowded and average. I was 100% wrong. I went there a few weeks ago for an engagement session and have already been back twice since. It's so beautiful, and there are many areas you can explore if you want to be alone. If you go in the evening the golden hour sunset is FABULOUS. If you like beautiful scenery and peaceful views, I highly recommend Whytecliff.
Lovely little spot by the water with stunning views. Great place for a picnic especially for families with ample play equipment. Short hiking trail through the park, and nice spots to sit and watch the water. Parking is limited but we found a space, despite there being lots of divers that day (probably 30+ people). Highlight was the couple of seals sunbathing and the nice views. Don't need to spend much time here (1-2 hours) as it's relatively small.
Park is beautyfull but no parking on Sunday nice day. Some parkings are at the Horseshoe bay village and you have to walk a lot .Public transportation also possible from Vancouver to the village. This place offer one of the best views in the area.
Great spot to walk along the coast. Going at low tide is best.
Gorgeous park not too far away from downtown. The views during the drive getting here was unbelievable. Whytecliff has ample parking and two functional washrooms for men and women. Gorgeous viewpoints with some picnic tables add to the charm. There’s a beach area that you can hike down to. We saw some groups doing snorkelling there, despite the cold. There’s some rock scrambling opportunity on a nearby outcrop but to get there you maybe have to Wade through water depending on the tide situation. To add to our delight, we also spotted some dolphins in the water.
Love this place! Parking is free and they have an overflow lot as well in case it gets busy. They have trails, a beach, and most importantly a nice view. It is rocky so bring some flip flops or water shoes. Good place to launch a kayak or paddle board. Lots of scuba diving too.
We love spending time exploring the beach and coastline in this park. Lots of great little secluded spots in the park to enjoy a picnic with family or friends. Get there early in the summertime as this is a popular spot and the parking lot can be full.
Great place to have a picnic, swim or photoshoot..on a sunny day..
One of the most beautiful spots on the North Shore. Make sure to check out the beach and views.
Beautiful views in all directions !!
So beautiful! We climbed up the rocks on the side and just sat there, drinking coffee and took in the beautiful view. The pictures don’t do it justice! We also saw seals sooo close up! They were like a meter away! Also it wasn’t that busy on a Saturday afternoon, which is nice especially during covid times.
Small beach area. Very beautiful. Watch out for the tide, when it comes in, you could get trapped on the rocks.
Best part of the trip was walking on rocks bridge to reach the centre rock. We did it afternoon when tide was high and enjoyed a lot. It was a amazing view of a seal nursing her baby on rock shore. Good view of Howes sound. A decent picnic spot.
This is our favourite park in West Vancouver. Beautiful scenery, water views and lots of rocks to climb. Lots of books and crannies to explore and an island that can be reached at low tide for more exploring. There's a field up above, a rocky beach, and the spot is really popular with divers Parking can be tight.
Really beautiful! Getting to the top of the different rocks is fairly easy (I did it without proper shoes) and the view up top is amazing. Quite windy up there, which is perfect for a hot summer day
The view is spectacular and the place is very comfortable and relaxing. If you planning on a meditation ????♀️ that’s the place you r looking for
