Numerous shops to spend your hard earned dollars.Great for the businesses buy buy.Instead stroll around towards the dock. The Park as parks go,I like this spot to kick back and relax,you missed the ferry.People watching is fun and requires no equipment.Don't stay in your car,the park is fun. Remember to keep your ticket on your body other wise BC ferries may demand a ransom to return to your car. Have fun in Horse Shoe Bay.

We stopped by on our return home from Squamish, and it was delightful. The park was sort of busy as it was a beautiful sunny Sunday, but it wasn't uncomfortably crowded. We enjoyed a coffee on a park bench, watching the ferries come and go. Wonderful!

As parks go its okay. There are a few things for the kids to play on but besides that there isnt much save for a few benches to sit on to watch the ferries come and go. There is also a public washroom here that is sometimes even open.

Nice small park to sit and watch the ferries come in and out of the port. The washrooms available are a bit of a mess. That said, good for family and a little kids play area for small children. Lots of food options in the area. I suggest you give Pudgies Pizza a go. You won't regret it!

This place has island vibe to it while still being inland and not too far from downtown. Kids might get surprised to see jellyfish after time in the playground. Parents can enjoy a nice short stroll along the shoreline. Cyclist can ... well they can suffer the hilly Marine drive after amazing view at Horseshoe bay and after full lunch... ????

This is a large, unfenced, multi-age-friendly, park. There are swings & a Teeter totter. There’s access to the beach. There’s also a Starbucks just a block away. This Park tends to be busy, related to the Ferry Schedule. It’s a clean park with bathrooms and I would recommend going here.

Beautiful Europe like park by (cove) water line, mountains, marina and ferry terminals to Islands. Awesome place for for relaxing, walks and chill at reataurants, coffee shop. There are many shops like gift, postal, travel and others. There is enough pay parking area , however 2 hour free parking exists nearby. Bus terminal to connect Vancouver area. If you are driving to Whistler, it's worth to take an exit on the way after west Vancouver and visit this location.

Small but splendid view. There are several coffee shops such as Starbucks, Tim Horton and Starbucks with the water view. There is a direct ferry departing from Horseshoe Bay and arriving at Nanaimo at different times, every day. The journey takes approximately 1h 30m. Accommodation is so nice and quiet with several walking paths.

Horseshoe Bay is a destination in itself. A perfect place to bring out of town visitors for a scenic drive and leisurely meal. And for tourists wanting to get off the beaten path. A short ferry ride to Bowen Island makes the outing even more special. All doable with public transit.

Loved it. On a sunny day this is a great place to visit or stop by for a snack before catching a ferry. View is awesome, several good places to eat in or take out within 1 minute walk from the park. Lots of benches. Playground is pretty big for such a small village. You can go down to the water to wet your feet or use their marina to load your boat if you have a boat of course:)

I absolutely love this park. I used to live on the sunshine coast and visited here often when I travelled between nanaimo and gibsons. I haven't been here in over 10 years and was so happy to see some of my favorite childhood places still here. Was a great sunny day and really enjoyed the scenery. What a beautiful place to spend some time exploring the area. There are some restaurants and shops in town and boat rentals as well. I could never get tired of the views. Hopefully all of the new construction doesn't take a toll on things.

Beautiful location to relax and pass a few hours. Well equipped playground to let the kids burn off some energy and watch the ferry’s come and go against the beautiful backdrop of the mountains. Even though a relatively busy spot, it’s usually not too hard to find a patch of grass to sit and enjoy a Sunday afternoon. Grab a tea or coffee from somewhere just across the road or even some fish and chips - plenty of options very close by!

This is the first time I've been here and found this place to be a little rustic. It's not too far from the main town and yet it seemed quite isolated. You can feel how peaceful it is but I guessed during the summer season it can get overly crowded with locals and tourists catching the ferry to get across somewhere.

I love stopping here before catching my ferry. It has 3 adult sized swings that are very tall and overlook the harbour. Picturesque. It also has baby swings, a playground shaped like a pirate ship the kids seem to adore, and a bit of a hilly field. Public washrooms for men and women, I've seen them maintained but I haven't been inside, and a drinking fountain where I fill my water bottle.

A nice park on the water. The view is awesome. It is quite inviting and you feel like staying a little longer. There are large trees, swings and benches. You can sit and enjoy the scenery or walk and explore. Walk-on ferry passengers often take a break here. There are several restaurants along the park, and some are a little further away. But, all close by. And, the park has washrooms.
