Limited parking, narrow streets, rocky cliffs, no stroller access. Many benches to enjoy the view. No amenities. Clean water, great views. Bring only what you need.

Located in a small neighborhood, this park is the place to relax, meditate or simply enjoy the beautiful nature that West Vancouver has to offer. There are some benches nicely located by the water and the view is very unique.

There's no shortage of beautiful places in BC. We discovered this little park as a hidden gem for locals. Small corners is sometimes all you need to tell a good story.

Beautiful. We arrived and anchored just off shore. It was a bit challenging getting a reliable bite with the anchor. The beach was crazy busy however.

Russell Cunningham

Minimal parking along pilot house road. Great spot with bank edges and a view of the water. Small beach to the east of entry and water banks to the west. Beautiful spot. Can get very busy during nice weather.

Absolutely phenomenal panoramic view of Vancouver Harbour: from the West Van shoreline at Caulfeild Park along to Ambleside, the Lions Gate Bridge and Stanley Park, and then back up along the beaches of Kitsilano to Jericho, Point Grey and beyond in the distance to Vancouver Island. The view at dusk is also absolutely amazing when the towers rising along the shore of Ambleside and those in the Downtown Core beyond Stanley Park are fully illuminated. Excellent spot for a rocky seaside walk or hike over trails and rock faces. If you're lucky, it's not uncommon to catch a glimpse of a seal, otter, or eagle overhead. Caulfeild Park also includes a grassy garden area ("Edge Park" -- further along Pilot House Road) below the Caulfeild Rock Monument (dedicated to the West Vancouver pioneer, Sir Francis Wm. Caulfeild, after whom this area is named), with lawn and several tall apple trees, ideal for summer picnics and viewing July - August English Bay fireworks from a distance. This park is, after Ambleside, my personal favorite of all in West Vancouver, and is truly an unparalleled hidden gem.

Caulfield is a jolly old time and i think it is rly gud and stuff 10/10 wud go again. only ptoblem is sand will get in ur shorts and that will make a rattl3d

Secluded little park with a great view of downtown Vancouver and English bay. There several benches to sit and enjoy the view or read or listen to music. It is a hidden park and doesn't get many people as nearby lighthouse park. There is an anchor and plaque dedicated to Francis Caufield that donated the land for this park. There is a path from Stearman beach to Caulfield park that is accessible at low tide. There is small beach with nice sand. There is lots of trails that go the entire park from one end to the other around the peninsular to little Caulfied bay.

The park is nice and has a great view of Stanley Park and Vancouver. Some localism here. Edit: I thought I would elaborate on the localism. There are some cranky locals quick to run out their homes and yell at you if you drive your vehicle from the parking stalls back up the hill for about 20 metres. Its a very poorly signposted one way road and you are supposed to go the long way round. My advice to you if this happens is to give these unpleasant old folk a piece of your mind and ask them to write to West Van council about the poor signposting.

Amin Sameni

You can easily fell in love with this place PERFECT for a private, quite and a peaceful picnic. The view is lovely and you can find many benches to seat and enjoy the view.

We went to the beach at Caulfield Park - gorgeous view but limited parking and very limited space - it's quite noisy with a lot of kids, which is fine but heads up! If you're looking for peace and quiet this isn't the spot. Maybe go super early?

Chase Parkisass

This park is amazing. It is the perfect place for a quiet, private picnic for you and your significant other. It is so secluded in this little quiet corner of northwest Vancouver, you know that you are not going to have to battle crowds of obnoxious hooligans. The late summer is ideal because of all the lush bushes surrounding the beach, giving it a very lagoon like feel. The water is a dark blue green, there is mostly rocks but a bit of a sandbar when the tide is out. The history of the location is undeniable when you climb down onto the rocks and see the incredible variation in the geology formations present. Hollowed out logs that have been beached for possibly hundreds of years. This is very much a must see for any mature person who can appreciate the beauty behind simple nature.

Great place to see exposed phaneritic rocks if you love geology. They're quite slippery though, and you can easily fall into the water or hurt yourself.

Beautiful hidden gem in North Van. We enjoyed our time here. We had a swim in the ocean, played in the sand and enjoyed all the driftwood. There are steps going down to the beach and a trek to get back up. Parking can be difficult as it's in the side of the road.

Kalinka Borissova

This beach does not allow dogs which you will figure out only if you get to the beach itself. The parking can accomodate only 4 cars plus some parked on the street.
