Great old memories here. As another point of interest in Vancouver, I would recommend coming here for a different perspective of our city. There's a beach with kids playground and concession stands /restaurant. Plenty to do here with sports fields for baseball, soccer, field hockey and tennis courts.

Jake Valinho

Shay Matters

Fantastic dog beach. Great views and more parking than expected.

Peter Laing

Raw, Vibrant, Elegant! This place has it all... A beach that pulses with the flow of the tides and natural cycles. An outlook on international commerce witnessed by intriguing ship traffic. And the exclusive feeling of West Van success.

Gestler Mendoza

Love this beach plenty of space to social distance. Lots of activities for kids , close to restaurants and Park Royal

Jessica

Absolutely beautiful here, well maintained, nice shops just across the street, it feels natural and welcoming. No dogs allowed (there's a separate off leash dog section) but you might find people with their dogs here and there being respectful

Sarah Emily

One of the best places on the North Shore to get a good view of the Lions Gate Bridge. Beautiful beach with lots of space to walk around in. Within walking distance of Park Royal mall as well. Great spot overall.

Nara Yang

What a wonderful place for families and dogs! Ideal for a weekend picnic or sunbathing. Clean and plenty of areas to enjoy the views.

Gareth Ronald-Jones

Lovely beach, brand new playground, new restaurant that opens soon, playing fields, seawall, skatepark, basketball courts, dog park and washroom facilities. Beautiful spot.

Jason B.

Beautiful beach!! It's such a nice spot if you want to enjoy a sandy beach but don't want to drive an hour!!

Gregoz Gawronski

Ambleside Park in West Vancouver is the most beautiful dog park you can imagine. Plenty of space for dogs, astonishing views of the sunsets, unobstructed view of the mounatains, Stanley Park and Vancouver's downtown.

Luigi Costantini

Went a couple of friends and thats special someone on Christmas day it was pretty kool seeing it all covered with know and it was quite which was nice ????and great scenery too would definitely come back here again ????

Jonathan Freeman

Great place for a walk with your fury friend. On a nice day there will be lots of dogs and owners out enjoying the park and scenery. The views of down town, Stanley park and the Lions gate bridge are very impressive. Parking can be tough on busy summer days so we always park at Park Royal and walk through the trail (makes for a longer walk too).

fabrizio

Ambleside Park is a good place where spending some spare time. You can enjoy of an amazing view of Stanley Park and the Lions Gate. Nace and large beach where play with your dogs or just relaxing under the sun. If u have kids there are also a big and assorted play ground and a skateboard track.

Charlie Dan

There's a section for off leash dogs and it's safe and friendly

Leanne Taylor

The Ambelside off leash dog park is a perfect venue for dog-owners to bring their canines for running, playing and swimming - in the open fields or on the beach. I have been coming here for years! Always lots of friendly dog owners to chat with and dogs for your pooch to play with. There are poop bags and red poop disposal bins at each end of the walk but no fresh water so be sure to bring your own.

ethan horner

It's a beautiful beach with a skate park aswell as a dog park. Perfect for nice relaxing walks or a fun day with the kids or friends. Sadly most people dont abide by the mask wearing in public common sense rule so that sucks.

Aftaab Gulam

I wish I'd spent more time here this summer. I like the beach here. If you walk to the end, there's lots of dogs if you want to get your puppy fix. The beach is relatively quiet with great views of Lions Gate bridge and Stanley Park. The only downside is the canteen closes before the end of the summer. I would love to get a hot chocolate deep in the winter when I walk down there some days. C'mon Parks Board, if you don't want to open all year long, give up the space so someone private can take over and offer full service all year long.

Curtis Randall

Ambleside Park is a great family park and beach area. Lots of free parking and close to many restaurants in the area. During summer months you can enjoy many of the parks events including music festivals and art displays.

Franck “Dirty Blue Groove” Sala

Great place, great food and a wonderful server! Thank you Pavel for your passion and dedication The private seating areas are a treat and nicely romantic!

Dean Concannon

Makes me feel like I'm on holidays great place for just getting out side and enjoying the weather

Mark Giesbrecht

This is quite the park. Beach, multiple fields for sports, walking path along the shore, skatepark, playground and concession stand. Paddle board rentals were available at the beach. A perfect place for a picnic with a large family.

Henry Truong

Really enjoy this park, they have a dog beach on the far side and we really like to go crabbing on the pier. Although it does tend to be quite crowded by other fisherman etc...

Des Lee

What a great little park with a large beach-front area, playground, and shady areas for picnics! However it's also so busy that you'd be lucky to find parking. There are areas to park that are further away, but then you have to deal with two hour parking limits. Note that the beach is rocky sand, not the fine white sand you would find at Jericho or Locarno.

Ed Hsieh

Wonderful place , enjoy the beach great for kids or walking with dogs

Craig Isberg

Nice beachfront park. Great beach. Very nice views of Vancouver. Worth a day trip.

Angie Tocaj

Ambleside is a gorgeous park there is so much space to be on the beach with friends or family or to go on the grass and have a little picnic and lay down and get a tan. There’s also quite a long trail if you’d like to walk your dog some areas are leashed but most of the areas allow unleashed dogs which is awesome because my dog loves to get her exercise and she does it better when she’s off leash so I can throw the ball for her gorgeous views of downtown Vancouver as well.

Arnaud Guanco

Love the waters and the beach feel. Just way too crowded and busy.

behzad asadpour

Beautiful beach, nice view, sunny and clean. A little windy

Ryan Smith

Nice soccer fields right by the water

MANBIR RANDHAWA

Why wouldn’t i give anything less than 5 stars to this side of west Vancouver. ???? this place has little bit of everything. Lets begin; Courts to play games- Yes! First of all there are tennis courts, football court, hockey court n few more stretching out on all long road that leads to the entrance of the park. Park with greenery spread along the pedestrian pathway to walk n to cycle( two separated lanes ) - But let me tell ya , its not your regular park. In fact the whole edge of the beach has green pastures spread to small little gardens along the walking pathway. Its dog friendly. I would say regular dogs are buddies to each other n they enjoy beach too as i saw many of them in groups playing with each other. (Another adorable sight apart from the horizon of ocean) Residential property along with shops to eat or to purchase beachside munchies- many different places to grab a bite are walking distance here. Nice restaurants like carmelo restaurante , chef michel are pretty close by too. Very busy whole time but especially summers. Washrooms and beach side shop to purchase food are on the beach stretch which is gravel going down n then gets sandy along the water waves. Bring your food, get a chair or spread a mat n just enjoy the sun. Maybe plan a beach workout or making sand castles and just come , visit here yelpers n non yelpers. Yes u can play beach volleyball at non- covid times.

John Powszedny

Popular waypoint along West Vancouver seawalk. Access from Marine Drive, watch the direction signs due to construction in area. Sports facilities include skateboard park, tennis court, and soccer. Clean open lawn and beach. Public washrooms are available.

Rich Vigurs

Amazing Beach with publice art and a dog park.

Marisol Villegas

Is the most beautiful place, of course I married here! Love the ambience is very familiar and of course full of Happy Dogs! ????

Karthik Sundar

Nice view of downtown Vancouver from across the water

Tay Cun

Beautiful beach with nice green space. It is sourrounded by some beautiful new structures & restaurants. Parking may be difficult but definitely worth spending the day

Merle Wesley

Great place to watch a sunset, strolling abouts and visiting the many shops! Yes you will definitely have a great feeling looking at all your eyes can handle!! Beautiful and families always welcome!!

David Muscat

This is not a quiet sedentary spot. Rather like a Cirque performance you will not know where to look. Panoramic views, roaming friendly dogs in pooch area and a continuous array of people battling for your attention. But don't fret. Lots of secluded out of the way for those inclined for more medative activities.

Zaid Al-Saffar

The playground is so big with tons of things to climb on, over, under, and through. There's a nice pirate ship set in sand with a nearby dolphin seat and "driftwood" to balance on. A disc swing, a hammock, a roller slide, balance platform, seesaw, and multiple climbing structures. Surfacing is wood chips and sand in separate areas, So friendly to bring our kids in this park

elahe tavakol

Great view of downtown Vancouver The parking lot is always busy, you will have better chance to find parking later in days There is playground, basketball ground and skating

Peter Straughan

Great walking trail fun beach great kids area just a fun place to spend the day by the ocean and all its beauty and nature.

Brad C

Very nice area. Quiet, lots of room. Nice to come and simply stare out into the water. A little pond hidden in the middle with wildlife. Dog friendly beach.

Francisco Javier Barrios Babilonia

Amazing and famous West Vancouver’s park! It has many attractions for the more active of visitors to Vancouver including a beach, trails, skateboard park, pith and putt and more. Dogs owners can enjoy the beautiful view and the beach with their little best friends. There is a tiny dog Friendly beach where they can have a lot of fun with other doggies and humans. There is a Starbucks closeby (walking distance) for the coffe lover visitors. Tennis court, basketball court, and baseball diamond are the other sports amenities that you can find in this park.

Dennis MacDougall-Purnell

Great place to take the dogs, sit and watch the ships going by.

Mockie

One of my favourites, this is a really beautiful spot on the north shore

Andres Flores

I love the doggy beach. I bring my BF every time I can. They can swim and run. You can tell their happiness in that place ????

Chee’en Young

Close to both north and west Vancouver, lots of parking, and the best place to take pictures of lions bridge.

Anneke Rotmeyer

Spent an hour cleaning up the beach. A beautiful treasure. Wish people were more respectful.

Alex Jando

It's a great place to get fresh air, especially during lockdown. There are lots of activities for you, your family, and your pets.

Syed Anwar Ali

Great place for fishing at pacific bay in north Vancouver. This location has a counter area for dressing fish with a faucet. Perfect for a day trip for shopping dining and relaxing at the beach. Easy to find parking nearby.

T Sheinin

Early in the morning is the best time to go, so peaceful!

Lowell Kingston

Beautiful view and large off-leash dog area. The down side for dog owners, farther west and dogs aren't allowed at all. Then there is this crazy "dog run" where your dog is on the opposite side of the fence of the seawall. The dog run is parallel to the railway tracks so if a train comes and your dog is off leash, you had better get a hold of them. Clearly the person that came up with this idea was not a dog owner.

farren gillaspie

Great walk for myself and my dog. Off leash at one part of the beach. Lots of friendly people especially the dog folks.

Tricia Jackson

A beautiful place to watch the sunset. It's right across from the new earls on the water. Take a stroll down the pier while you wait for a seat!

Ken Cheng

great place for a walk and it's next to the beach. Good for those into birding too

Sheyma Alfak

Great location with breath taking views ????

Fardad Moayeri

Huge beachside park in West Vancouver. One of the best skateparks (skate spot - so smaller) in the lower mainland. Lots of fields and areas for play, sports and picnics. Cafes and restaurants near by.

Kristian Lawrence

Great sunsets ! It is made for pedestrians and cyclists. Also, people who like to fish. The pier is always busy with anglers trying their luck at crabs, or other types of fish.

Karl Geluk

Good spot to go for many reasons, wanna go swim there one of these days andtaste the salt water...and cool down ????

Lisa Gimenez

Nice breeze, good vibe & love watching the float planes above & the sailboats on the water.

Rae Chel

Very nice long stretch of walk ways along the beach. Has a very nice new modern play structure for the kids. Near ample parking and a small cafe market with a decent public rest room. Noticed they have a changing facility within the restroom and a shower station near by from the beach.

Steven Breakingbury

Gorgeous views near sunset. Great long seawall walk. Bathrooms. Playground and parking.

Kathy Stivin

Calling all dogs! This is an off-leash dog park with access to the ocean, where dogs can swim and fetch. Very popular with both dog owners and dog lovers. You may also glimpse a blue herron or two in the tree tops, and an eagle if you are lucky.

Dave Fischer

Always enjoyed this beach growing up and having the dog beach has always been half the reason I've enjoyed this beach. 1 star removed for some snooty west van types but great people here in general

Cez Revilla

Highly recommended. If you want to have a alone time, you can sit on the one of many logs along the beach or just simply sit on the sand and daydream. If you have kids, there's a playground, tables and benches for little picnics, a skateboarding place, a pond to watch duckies and seagulls and crows swarming around.

Jacqueline Bernhardsson

My Dogs would have loved this park, sadly they aren't with me anymore!

Joy Hoskin

A cute and popular sandy beach park in the city... wheelchair accessible. Nice logs and benches to sit on. The ocean view with sailboats and further out, ships.

shiva ghorbani

Best place if u have a dog. Take them there, them and you going to enjoy the whole day ????????

nancy mahay

Long trails for running and walking. There is a small parks for kids and trails are pets friendly.

Roberto Ram

Great place for walks besides the ocean.

Megan Chobaniuk

This is a great beach! Located in West vancouver near the lions gate bridge, it has a dog park, playground, skate park and concession during the summer. Great for families I've been coming to this beach since I was little and now I bring my own family :) a favorite indeed!

Tony

Great walking lanes along the water. Amazing view of the Lions Gate bridge. Fun for the family and the dogs.

Justin Taylor

Amazing beach, phenomenal amenities, incredible views!!

Pacific Signal

A beautiful park, close to the beach, with a nice pear, beautiful and well designed playground and a nice boardwalk. Has beautiful sunsets and a great view of the bay. The only thing which I did not like were the very dirty washrooms.

La Vitta E Bella

Love it there during summer time

Daniela Restrepo Roldan

I can definitely say is one of my favourites beaches/parks in Vancouver. The view is impressive and during the summer days the water have an amazing color, made me feel I was in another city!

Mixed Breed (TerriC)

Great go to for all ages. Beach front park with so many amenities either in the park or close. Including: pond, playground, picnic areas, doggie play area, water park, beach, walking paths, canoe/kayak rental, fields and concession(s). Park Royal is close by as is a great little village.

David Metcalfe

Usually quite busy with people, but the park is often quiet and fairly clean. Excellent views available from this spot.

Gabriel Knepper Mendes

Such a peaceful place to catch some sunlight during the spring...

Kyle Ducholke

Love this park, easy to find parking on weekdays, a little harder on weekends, picnic tables, benches and grass to toss a blanket down for some seating. A beautiful paved walking path along the shore, and a boardwalk out to the sea with a float and access to the ocean. Great place to come for a stroll and watch the ships enter and exit Vancouver harbour.

Darkvalley 8

Ambleside is a nice little beach in West Van. It is good for a little get away right inside the city, but nature has been disturbed too much there. Litter is everywhere. There is a beach side restaurant there called the Boat House. I like it a lot. Very nice service and yummy food. You can eat on the patio or they have a take out window.

Karen Van Gramberg

I love coming to Ambleside Park, I love that it has a walking path, Excellent unleashed dog park, Skate park, Basketball court, The Seaside Cafe, Public Washroom, Beach Volleyball. You can rent kayaks, Paddle Board or play Games/Sports on the grassed area or just relax and read a book or have a family picnic. There's also markets on certain days. It's fun for the whole family. There's also people watching or laying on the beach and soaking up the views. Everytime I'm in town from Sydney, Australia I come here- lots of fond high school memories.

Peter Jokan

Wonderful off leash park. Fantastic view to the Stanley Park and to the Vancouver skyline. If you are lucky you can spot some sea lions in the water or even on the beach.

Richard Loat

A must go if you are in West Vancouver. This park really has something for everyone. From a skate park 4 some, I see you all for many, a special dog walking area and dog park, mini-golf, beaches 4 days, and a lot of green space if you want to kick a ball or throw frisbee. They've done a great job of increasing parking and it really is the best place to be on a sunny day in West Vancouver.

Viny Kurniawan

It's not so popular but I love it! I can walk or sit for hours there. It also has Ambleside Farmers Market on the other side, near parking area. All the goods are fresh & the people behind the stands are friendly too. A recommended beach park to visit.

Mike Stewart

Beautiful park. Particularly good for watching sunsets

Edwin Nathaniel

Decent place. The view was ok. Half of the beach is rocky instead of nice sand. The playground is small. Less variety of foods. Parking is not well organized. Overall: meh

Dominik PATAKY

My favorite park in Vancouver. Nice views, dogs friendly.

Beh Zad

One of the best and greatest area in north shore...

Rashmi Bakker

Very good beach, lots of swings and attractions to watch

Maryalice Golinsky

There is a great off leash dog area with lots of room for running and ocean for dogs that like to swim!!

Martin

Nice park. Great for swimming, an afternoon with a book and for views of Vancouver and Stanley Park. Great for meeting dogs and thier walkers too.

Rahat Khanna (mappmechanic)

This is an amazing and beautiful cafe restaurant located literally on the beach. This is super convenient to visit and there is plenty of free parking also. The best and unique thing about this place I found was the covered outside tables with transparent cover which would be perfect during the cold and chilly weather. A must visit place when you come towards west Vancouver.

꧁sʇuʌɹϽ ᴉuoꓕ꧂

I like Ambleside Park. Even when it is cloudy, it is busy. There are people walking, jogging, families, dogs, etc. There is a lovely beach stretch that has sand instead of gravel or pebbles and people can walk around barefooted. However, the water is either cold or freezing ????. It can be windy ????. There are many things to see and explore around. I would recommend to visit ????

Rachel Routin

Perfect area to hang up your hammock!

Translinkboy

The waters and the views are amazing there's a nice fish and chips restaurant nearby too, very nice for swimming on a really hot day I just advise everyone to bring sunscreen because I got badly burnt on Wednesday when I went also careful about where you step on the sand because the sand is very hot

Pinky Jagait

Very nice beach, , not so crowded, , , beautiful view everywhere in, , very clean to walk on the sand

Little Fluff

Lovely beach with washrooms play park and seating and a great beach side restaurant. Lots of parking too and didn't feel crowded

jinky TravelDiaries

Nice beach sidewalks, kids playground as well, doggy can run along. Too lucky I can viewed the full cherry blossoms ????, super nice, very FULL of ????????????????.

M. Herrn

Appreciated by locals and tourists alike. Beautiful view.

Deb

Always a nice place to walk and appreciate nature

Shane Reid

With the exception of some litter, the park was quite beautiful. Seeing used bandages on the dock was a little off-putting.

Leo Augusto

Sports courts, skatepark, picnic areas, beautiful sandy beach, all very clean and well maintained. The pedestrian pathway (seawalk) to Dundarave and other beaches has many art installations and gardens, and good views of the Lions Gate Bridge and Stanley Park. It also has plenty of parking space and easy access to public transit on Marine Dr.

Renee Hardie

Very popular for good reason... be prepared to spend time waiting for parking though

Raymond Jamieson

Sunsets are absolutely amazing from the beach...always something to do...lots of great restaurants with tremendous views

Michael Henderson

I live this park. I've been going here since I was a young teen.

Arya Afshar M. (IDDQD Sound)

Beautiful dog park with a decent waterfront trail! Dogs can have a nice swim and cool down and if they're lucky even play with the ducks at the pond. I don't even own a dog and I had a blast there!

Andrew

Great park and excellent beach.

Sophie Lussier

Love walking by the water, trail is large so even if it is busy, you have room to walk. Never get enough of the Sea Walk.

Arthur Ma

Nice views of English Bay, Lions Gate Bridge and Stanley Park.

Justin Charles Wong

My go to park in West Van, great for walks and picnics. Definitely stop by and check out the dog park, sea wall, and pier ????

David McAdam

Always great to be able spend time at Ambleside. Interesting to observe people paying little heed to any form of organized sport as sun bathers, walkers/runner/cyclists feel they can walk anywhere/anytime with the expectation that COVID has prevented all youth sports, which is not the case. Ambleside a 5 out of 5, people using Ambleside 2 out of 5 (respecting fellow users).

john ho

Great park! Lots of things to see and do. Have a restaurant on site and a lovely beach over all!

Florjan Gjolaj

Gorgeous sandy dog park. Rated 4 stars because it is pretty small. Good spot for swimming, gets relatively deep quick.

Chittaranjan Gauba

Great location right by the sea!

Ashley Watts

This beach is a natural beauty with logs to relax against and views of both the sea and sky. The one star missing is because I feel there should be more restrooms than what's provided.

Willow Dawn

Everyone should get away to see and walk the beach at Ambleside..beautiful inclusive place to participate in sports, share a group or family day and walk the beach; sooo enjoyable.

Holly Comeau

What a wonderful relaxing visit. I walked from Park Royal along the paved path along the dog park, walked around the duck pond. I took pictures of a momma Mallard and her little ones. Beautiful view of Lions Gate bridge, Look Out point in Stanley Park and the beach.

Shahriar Mohammadi

Lovely place to chill.

Nat S

There is an area for anyone here. The skate park is always busy and the volleyball nets are fantastic to play on. A good and usually busy beach!

Casey Byrne

Lovely spot! Haven't swam here yet but definitely a nice area for a walk along the beach or just sitting on the sand. Love the dog section. This beach is a little busy because of the restaurant, the skatepark, the public washrooms, etc but it's still really nice. Also the little pond area is cute and quiet.

J Pepa (Canadian Car Guru)

Ambleside Park is beautiful and located right on the water. Great place to spend a afternoon and close to many great restaurants too.

Andrew Jonathan

Ambleside’s got the best sunset swimming on the shore. Highly recommended taking your next tinder date for a bevy down to the beach for a cheeky dip.????

R

Nice beach and it's not very busy. Good for shell hunting. Maybe wear water shoes as it's a bit rocky.

Kelly Marshall

I love how Ambleside has grown, great walk after work and take the time to walk Lawson Park and then Ambleside seawall no dogs are allowed here anymore as the train comes through and they are prohibited to blow their home. Take the time to have a picnic, business breaks and there is a history building to enjoy walking through time.. There is a pond do not feed the wildlife bread. There are concession stand open in June .. Leash your dog pick up after your dog and parking is still free come early on weekends Great way to see the views of the city...

Arman Shah

Great place to be Nice beach and a gorgeous view. Deft a place to visit if you're in the northshore area. It also hold the persian new years event (charshanbo soori) in the month of march.

GritGuide 604

Great view of the Lions Gate bridge at night

Jason Strauss

Public Restrooms. Off-leash dog park area on the beach. Views of the Lions Gate Bridge. Path to Park Royal mall and its parking lot. Water tap - outdoor - for filling water jugs and dog water bowls. No overnight parking.

The park is beautiful, from the view to the well tended grass

Cams Smitty

Great place to go for a walk and feed the birds.

Once the washroom is updated and more accessible bathrooms are availeable , happy to give this great park a perfect rating. Beautiful seawall, beach for sunbathing, plenty of benches, dog run area, family friendly, popular park . Always something happening here.

Thomas Eric Nieto

Great view to the ocean and the mountains. Lovely place.

Fern J

Nice place to chill and see sunset

Kas Elrafih

Awesome! Love the beach here and watch the guys catching crab of the pier. You can see seals and watch the fisherman catch salmon. The volleyball and basketball courts are good and plenty of park to kick a soccer ball around.

James Kelly

This used to be a premier beach of Vancouverr, however it has become badly overcrowded with the constant over building of West Vancouver condos nearby. Expect terrible parking conditions and far too many people, and now even litter. Sad but true. Suggest you venture to Deep Cove or elsewhere for quieter more peaceful serenity. However, I continue to rate it a solid four star in that it has great views, and the top notch Park Royal Mall just a few blocks away.

Neil Clarence

The best place for a motivational jog

Michelle L

Soooo beautiful !! Have to check this gorgeous place out ... Bring the dog along !

Jocee Rchrd

This is a beautiful beach. It can be busy for parking. We find beach was not crowded and close to water. I suggest if you don't mind a short walk then park by Park Royal Mall and walk to beach.

Nicholas White (Coach)

All parks in Vancouver are truly glorious. The only unfortunate problem you may or may not see is homelessness and drug abusers

Jules LaRue

I love this place. Its one of my most frequently visited places when I visit Vancouver. I go for walks along the beach and always check out the dock. And most of the time I bring people with me whom have never visited this place before. I also like to check out the totem as well. Its got a great view of English Bay.

Nipun Joshi

You will experience the beauty of West Vancouver over here. Beautiful beach, nice diners in the vicinity, provisions of long Beach side walks.....

rene bernstein

A good place for a long walk. Unfortunately dogs aren't allowed in many areas of Ambleside park but there is a good sized dedicated dog park with a beach at the Park Royal side of the park where dogs can frolic off leash. You can take a long walk starting at Ambleside park and can walk all the way to the pier at Dundarave. There are multiple public washrooms between Ambleside and Dundarave. You can stop on your walk and enjoy excellent coffee and cakes at Crema coffee shop or get froyo at TCBY in Ambleside.

Karl Gregg

A wonderful outdoor patio at the beachside restaurant made this trip memorable. Years ago my wife and I used to walk all through this beautiful park from the old West Vancouver Fire Hall to Park Royal, in both directions.

Sara W

Great place to have a walk, wether long or short, jogging or running, along the seaside, it is very refreshing.

Max Novich

One of the best parks there is in Vancouver. You've got a beach, a playground, restaurants, sporting courts, ample parking and a great view.

Vanessa Araujo

Find a little patch of sand and have a moment of zen with your favorite people or yourself. This park never disappoints

AcceptLocal Software

Great for jogging and walking near seawall.

Daniel Díaz

Nice and cozy beach, great view from here to the Stanley park, the Lionsgate Bridge and the open sea.

When I visited there ,it was very beautiful day and sunny. There are lots of restaurants with combination of urbane life and nature and sea life. There are lots of art galleries.

Rozmin A

Herons, crab, starfish, ducks, pigeons, seagulls and a seal all seen in 1 day. Lovely and not too crowded early morning.

Barry Price

Always a pleasant walk, along the sand, al9ng the dog park, or around the duck pond, or even a lunch or beverage at the concessions and watching the harbour

Peter Klimes

A beautiful sunset on a beautiful beach with the an amazing and beautiful woman.....????❤️????

Philip Kwan Ho Kwong

Nice beach looking over Lions Gate Bridge and Stanley Park. It has dog walking area and trails connects to Capilano Regional Park. Parking could be a challenge at times but it is a short walk to Park Royal Shopping Center.

Timothy Ho

Beautiful off leash dog area with a great view of Lions Gate Bridge. Unfortunately, lots of miserly locals who will yell at you if you walk on the (poorly signed) dog prohibited sidewalk leading east towards the dog area. Probably cat people...

Adam Hutt

Beautiful park with a nice walk either through the park or along the beach. Well maintained with nice areas for picnics or sun tanning.

Veronica Bell

Great spot for families ! Great space for barbecues and group gatherings. Bocce ball and game area by the playground and small water park. Has a great skate park, along with a basketball court and street hockey court. Definitely a place for people of all ages!

ailish chauhan

Really nice view at night and plenty of parking for anyone to enjoy. There is police there patrolling for safety of course but just be mindful of that. It is secluded and quite also has a beach next to it so pretty nice but food locations might not be th closest.

James Seaton

Went for a quiet walk by myself round there in the morning. Such a picturesque setting, and I spotted at least seven herons hanging out in the trees.

Cynthia McIvor

Love that there is an Off-Leash Dog Park ???? ????. Our dog enjoys chasing her ball & swimming in the water ????. The views are also gorgeous!

Adi Dahan

We've been there for West Coast Amusement, had a good time.

Mark V. Sinclair

Ambleside Park, including the spectacular Beach, is located at the foot of 13th Street at Argyle Avenue. World-class green playing fields for Soccer & Field Hockey, as well as Baseball diamond and Pitch-and-Put Golf Course overlooking a large bucolic duck-pond so enjoyable in Spring & Summer. Ambleside also boasts a Basketball court & landacaped Skate Park, cafe & concession, and it marks the beginning of the approximately 2-mile Centennial Sea Walk along the densely scenic West Van harbour-front to Dundarave Pier. Also a venue of major community festivals, including Harmony Arts (August), Coho Salmon (late September), and the Persian Nooroz (New Year's) Celebration at the Spring Equinox, Ambleside Park is not to be missed especially during Spring and Summer visits to the Northshore.

Iman RP

Nice place to hang out with friends and watch the ocean

Payam Shahbod

I live across the street from here and this park is one of my favorite places in Vancouver. Make sure you attend one of the outdoor concerts and movie showings or the art market this summer.

Rob MacMillan

Nice beach park that can see the seawall

Allan Bernard Fernandez

A great beach and park to take the family with ample and accessible parking for families that have small children and elderly companions. The local park administration does an amazing job keeping the park clean and well maintained.

Candice Hung

Favorite Beach to visit at night while star gazing and mediating.

Farzad Ashourpour

Such a relaxing beach/park in West Vancouver

Philip Gibney

Great beach views, plenty of field space, playground, skate park, dog park, pitch and putt, work out bars.. What more could you want

Rudolf Penner

The only place to practice your flute in public without drawing a lot of attention. Blue heron, gulls, a murder of crows. Beach and seascape vistas, artists, a concession, community garden, nearby cafés, restaurants, railway track. Boat with the yacht club. Picnics, live concerts. Nazareth and a whole slew of classic bands coming this summer. Also local acts.

Chris Huggins

Great place to walk for the family - with a large off leash area, and a nice little farmers market on the weekend.

Gary Dale

Really like the park. Lots of grass, ball fields, places for pinics, accessible bathroom facilities, good beach access and parking is free.

ian hunt

A nice spot to contemplate the meaning of life.

Carina Kwok

The playground is so big with tons of things to climb on, over, under, and through. There's a pirate ship set in sand with a nearby dolphin seat and "driftwood" to balance on. A disc swing, a hammock, a roller slide, balance platform, seesaw, and multiple climbing structures. Surfacing is wood chips and sand in separate areas.

TheDoubleyou

It's a nice place to hangout, to walk near the Vancouver downtown if you don't have a full day to do any activities in the area

Edible Pipis

Nice place , the view is amazing and a great space to unleash your dog ! Also, you can find a farmers market and a trail to ride your bike. Sunday maybe is a little crowded but you can’t miss the sunset in this spot .

Nelson

Fantastic place to bring your puppers on a summer day. Just wish it was a little bigger

LANMonkey GC

A beautiful park with kilometers of paved walkways and a variety of art and history to see. Well worth the time to visit and explore with the whole family. If you are brings dog note that there are special access restrictions for the dogs (a dog run parallel to the walkway)

Cherry Lishus

Love it. Especially the dog park. ????????

Greg T.

Haven't been in this area for years. We were in neighborhood after our kids soccer game at nearby Ambleside Turf Field F and decided to have lunch in this area. There's lots of shops, restaurants, walking path and of course, there's the Ambleside beach, view of Stanley Park and First Narrow bridge from the West Van.

Ghreza mohammady

Parking: available Pet: friendly Family : friendly View: perfect Clean: full mark

Sleder Sledmeister

A very relaxed neighborhood to live in. Everything I need is close and easy to access. Literally hundreds of great spots to spend the day with the family barbecuing laughing and the kids playing beach side on the shore and in the water The best.

H34RTL3SS

Came here around noon and didn’t leave til after dark. The beach looks out across to the south east & west and there’s a view of the Lions Gate bridge and Stanley park. Traffic can get congested at sundown as everyone’s travelling home so be mindful of that but overall it’s very easy to get around and there’s lots of parking (free & paid). Lots of restaurants nearby and a mall a couple minutes east of the beachfront. :) <3

Kevin Shen

Great place to take a walk by the sea.

Fiona Bratvold

Nice park. Farmers market on Sundays 10-3 pm, walk along seawall, swimming, lots of parking, dog leash free park, restaurant, skateboard area.

LF

Beautiful ambience, amazing to go during sunset/sunrise. I don't go to West/North Van often, so I loved visiting this area for the first time. I might want to move here in the future!

Kirk Chantraine

Beautiful park that is often host to special events. Great view of Stanley Park.

Christopher Nowell

It is a very nice family oriented beach

Amr Amin

Lovely magic place .. The sunset was unbelievable...

Edyn Hope

Can be crowded, but the sites are something to see and enjoy. The ocean is refreshing and the grass fields make for excellent tanning lounges. I personally grew up on the north shore and love coming here nearly every week. Restaurants, ice cream trucks, kids playgrounds, the ocean, a basketball park, skateboard park and a duck pond with swans make up the experience at ambleside and I love it here.

Rory Perron

Great beach area, swimming area, washrooms, food and drink service.

Hadi's Entertainment

It was really pleasant, nice scenery to Stanley park and stanley bridge, great for walking and jogging, I saw some people were fishing and had caught big lobsters, enough parking space and fancy restaurants there

Alice Hernandez

Awesome place to visit!!

Adam Bitingdog

More crowded than I'm comfortable with. Social distance people, I mean really

Ann Green

We are so blessed to have a public park like this on our doorstep.

leo narbe

Great place to share drinks with friends

Jo L

Best dog off-leash area! Other dog owners are responsible too! My dog had a great time. If you do come, be a responsible dog owner too and be proactive if your dog is not sociable to other dogs and keep them on leash if they are aggressive.

Robert Cole

Great park. Now that the boat shed is now open for food (which replaced the concession stand) this park has become too popular. Great place to start the spirit trail for a bike ride, good food, beach, and skate park. Lots of areas to picnic. Parking can be restrictive. Enjoy!

Darci Robson

Great place to walk and enjoy the ocean view

LV

Beautiful place for walks and a dip for the dogs.

Stephanie Chan

Fun playground with amazing water view. Love to come here with my children.

Lana Rogova

Forever my favorite park anytime of the year. Amazing open ocean view with water reflecting the sun. Sandy beach, logs on the beach, so relaxing.

MaHmooD KhaN

Very good place to watch sunset it's very beautiful and it's good for long walk you can take your pets and enjoy ocean view while walking there are some restaurants and pups and parks for kids

JESSE CHEETHAM

Awesome place for the family to visit

Cam Fairbairn

It's beautiful and if you have a dog, it will be beyond happy (one of the nicer dog parks around).

Curtis John

I fly my small drone there shoot pics of ship under the bridge

Geoffrey K

Great dog park here. Wonderful walk with some good views. It can be quite windy at times.

Cory Couture

Nice place to relax and enjoy the water plus they have a great little restaurant right at the beach

Jenna B

Wasn’t as secluded as I thought it would be. Long transit from downtown Vancouver.

Louis Labreche

Beautiful park to take your kids to either to walk or play.

Barry Starlighter

Great place to go biking or hiking.

Ronnie Scott

Nice park by the sea. There's beach, dog park, walks, and close to the shops of Ambleside. You can walk the Sea Walk from here for quite a long distance, as well as back to Park Royal, and on to the Spirit Trail. Lots to look at and do around here. There are sports fields of various types as well. Parking is OK, but can get busy in summer.

Greg Taylor

Massive park with amazing views of Vancouver and the Lion's Gate Bridge. Dog off leash area, concessions, playground.

Chris Hopkins

Nice open park with many fields and a dog park. Pitch and putt course is dun if your try tired of stanely park. Fishing at the mouth of the capilano river might net you a salmon.

50 What Now

Ambleside park is a great family beach and park area in west Vancouver. The park has a walkway along the beach with concessions and public washrooms. Lots of free parking in the area. Dog friendly area so you can bring your pooch along too.

Joel Kaplan

Nice community park, boardwalk, beach, restaurant, and local access to other services.

Aaron Wagner

Very pleasant. The water is a little gross though .

B12 Internet Ventures

A beautiful beach that you can come to anytime of the day and have that tremendous views ... when it’s hot, jump on that cold water help to decompress from all the stress I do it every day

Martin Johnson

Awesome beach, and a great place to view the cruise ship pass by up close and personal! Great place to take the kids; eat lunch; swim. Parking is generally available; however, is so accessible to locals that we forget sometimes how beautiful it is. Sunsets are also another feature to be enjoyed

Hannah Adam

One of the best beaches Vancouver has to offer. Great views and lovely sand! It's often busy but worthwhile. I go for walks along the sea walk most mornings, lovely walk, great spot for a run too!

Idin K

Ambleside park is heaven, for automobiles. It's a big parking space with some vegetation. It is loved by everyone because it's still better to park your car in Ambleside than on Lions Gate bridge on a sunny afternoon: you can turn your engine off and save on gas.

Virginia Dee

Beautiful park with sand, seaside, playground, duck pond, golf course and grassy fields. Lovely spot for picnics. I love the doggy beach and walk along the sea wall to the mouth of Capilano River. Beautiful Squamish welcome figure to greet you.

swerk26

Great park with lots green space for sports. Decent skatepark right by the beach and the beach is good too. Come earlier as parking, though plentiful, fills up quick, especially on the weekends.

Jacqueline Cullimore

One of our favourite beaches in Vancouver. Lots of grassy areas to sit and relax while watching the people go by on the sea walk. The sandy area is fantastic, with lots of logs and a great swimming area. Lots of nearby cafes and takeout places to bring your lunch or dinner to the beach. Highly recommend!

ramiz sumar

Nice place, quite...beautiful sunset ????

Jamila Janakiram

Beautiful and peaceful spot with tasty fries at the Boatshed and a whimsical wooden playground nearby.

Joseph Andrew

Calgary Explorer

Nice A real city park with ok parking, good beach with life guard, busy, golf course near by,

Jodine Morehouse

Very clean beach with gorgeous views - especially when the sun it setting. Definitely a go to if you’re in the area. They also have an off leash dog section.

Kathryn Anderson

Ambleside is great on a sunny day! Beach, playgrounds, walking trails. Be sure to play ahead though, as the parking can be limited during peak times and special events.

Kurt Schede

The feel of the open ocean

Jonathan Leemhuis

It's a little chilly in October, but when the sun is out it's still a great beach to hang out and take a load off.

Chris Seib (Queso del Diablo)

Beautiful park right on the water. There's several play areas for kids and a concession for snacks.

Richard Hammerton

It's a gritty beach with lots of debris not comfortable to sit on.. Nice views

Luke Elliott

Very nice park with excellent views and sea wall walk, does not allow skating, inline or board; or cycling, on the sea wall. There is a small skatepark provided. Creative timber play grounds.

Brian C Kerr

A family park where there are sports fields; park benches (in need of repair); paved walkway (also in need of repair); scenic beach front where one can go swimming, kite-surfing, kayaking); seasonal volleyball court on the beach; basketball court; skateboard park; casual dining/take-out restaurant; dedicated dog-park and a small par 3 golf course.

Katherina Cortes

Only 20 mins drive and we found parking on hot Sunday!! It wasn't overcrowded and the areas for the dogs are generous with beautiful views! Of course our 2 dogs couldn't get enough of the water. Amazing!!

Elbert Ro

Great place to bike to from downtown

Sandy Fast

Beautiful beach! Who doesn't love nature?! BC is the best,!

Taylor Thomas

What an amazingly well kept beautiful place! The view of the ocean the beautiful fields the sports areas everything is just immaculate

Marcus Choi

Pretty clean, nice people but rocks are kinda sharp.

Sarah M

It’s a rocky beach but is pleasant still.

Mitzi Sanchez

A nice spot for fishing and watching seals 10-15min away from downtown. A quiet place that will give you peace of mind and tranquility.

RandomThings4life

Beautiful place to go during the summer however, it is quite busy in the summer time.

Q G

Great place, too popular some days! Shared bike/pedestrian pathway is a pain, cyclist have little respect for walkers and the ones on electric bikes go way too fast should be banned.

Chris Pick

Awesome park, great place to visit.. Locals hangout year round. Lots of place to take a dip from the beach, kick a soccer ball around, or even play on the playground. Has a concession stand too with bathrooms/changing rooms.

HS Madan

Went there for dinner with a view event. Dinner was really good. But there was no view at all. The view was blocked by the building and our dome was next to the public bathrooms at the park. So that part about the experience was not happy at all. Other then that we had a good time.

Samuel fDavid

Sun, overcast or rain, this park is an awesome place to come visit. Bring friends, family or your pets!

Keya Hesketh

Lovely beach right next to Park Royal. You can browse some more luxury stores and then go spend some time relaxing. There are many different courts and recreation facilities including a skate park and a short seawall to walk along. There are large logs spread over the beach that provide seating instead of sitting on the sand or rocks. I like the beach and the view west of lionsgate bridge.

Charles Perrot-Minot

Know park for running but also fo dog owners (you can unleash your dog in part of it) and bikers. Nice place along the sea and beaches wit ha small golf

Nadiya Y

One of my faves. A bit dark after sunset, but private. Not too many people, nice beach. Worth a walk :)

TC

Long ocean and river side walkway offering spectacular views with various parks, playing fields, concessions and outdoor restaurant. Designated dog park and cycling pathways, beaches, walking pier and washrooms. Also mini golf course and small boat sailing club.

Ben Sang

Well known gem in W Van. Sunset is really beautiful. There are some good restsurant as well as big shopping centre.

Pie S

Good lookin park

Aayushi Shah

Beautiful and picturesque spot. Especially good for dog owners

Thai Truong

The park is easy to find and plenty of parking most of the time. The only exception is when an event is taking place at the park or nearby. I go running from here a lot and there are many options of which direction to go. From here, you have a view of the inlet, Stanley Park, Lion's Gate Bridge, and West Vancouver. This park is right along the inlet, so there's a beach area as well. In the park are: grassy field, gravel field, paved walking/running/cyclist paths, sand beach, a skate park, and more. The park is great for all sorts of people from, solo to families. Yes, it's a dog friendly park, but do remember to respect other pedestrians and clean up after your own. There are plenty of water fountains along the seaside paved pedestrian path, but bring a small water bottle along just in case. The park can be quite busy with people on a warm or sunny day. I'm sure summer time will be very busy, so plan to come earlier in the day during summer. I wish it wasn't as busy, but when a place gets popular, traffic follows.

Nina Charania

Great views of the mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Beach front properties. Nice picnic areas and a great walk all along the water front. They have entertainment at the park like music, magic show for kids. Great family place.

Ivan Lys

Great place due to the adjacent sports facilities and beach. Can play some serious soccer in the summer and jump into the ocean to cool off. Love it.

Wesley Guno

Another good place to crab

Chad Nehring

Nice beach spot with great views of Stanley Park and the Lions Gate Bridge. Nice place to relax and watch the Harbour Air planes buzz past. Sandy beach, but a bit rocky down closer to the shore. Nice place to lay out and relax in the sun, with a decent amount of parking. Farmers market is down there on Sundays through the summer too.

Dave Roskell

Nice beach near downtown Vancouver in West Van. In summer around 5pm you can watch the cruise ships sail by and fisherman trying for salmon. Nice playground and fields. Concession and washrooms. Sandy beach, dog walk and 10km sea wall make Ambleside great for everyone to enjoy. Beautiful view and sealife.

CANADA ALENA IMMIGRATION TO CANADA

The best park in West Van! Accessible, pet friendly, people friendly :) ducks, birds friendly! Restaurants in walking distance, playground area, soccer fields etc

LeeHo Moon

A beautiful place to watch sunset and perfect place for dogs.

Ajay Grover

Beautiful beach and walk

Omid Khoshdel

Beautiful place with a playground, trail road , picnic space and washroom. Also there is a beautiful lake with two pretty swan. You can spend whole of the afternoon there and enjoy your time.

Kel Green

It's always good if you don't go too late. It's like really being at the ocean. Not like the downtown beaches. And you constantly see the ocean-going freightliners entering and leaving the harbour.

Joy Marconato

Dog friendly area further down the beach.

Mariel Llorente

Nice place to relax and enjoy nature!

Paul Ng

Easy walking next to the beach, a perfect view to the Lion Gates Bridge .

Scott Cadwell

Love this park. The location is fantastic and the beach is great.

Tanya Ma

Great park. I usually park by Park Royal and walk down to the park. It’s a pet friendly spot and I love it (even though I don’t have any pets of my own). Incredible views: Lions gate bridge, Stanley park, a little bit of DT Vancouver. There is also a small lake with ducks. If you are lucky, you can find swans there too.

hooman nematolahi

A very nice place for walking. There is a leash free beach for dogs.

Jake Baby

If you haven't been you must go... great view. Awesome beach... it's a must

Tanya B

Fantastic place to spend the day. Great food shack with seating, excellent playground for all ages, washroom/changeroom facilities, lovely beach (just check the E.coli warnings online before going). Parking can be a pain in the butt.

Theresina Tam

Nice Ambleside walk, soft sea breeze and very relaxing. Takes around 30 minutes to complete the walk. There is a very clean public washroom too. There are swings and slides for younger kids. A good relaxing place for the whole family to spend an afternoon

MilaEarth Bodycare

We love it here. We go all the time.

Debby Brouwer

Celebrated our 3rd anniversary tonight! Great food, service and view! So fun! We'll be back!

whiskey Adams

Great place to take the kids to. They have old school things like Tonka style backhoe mini diggers that most parks find too dangerous. Great seesaw that can hold a family of 6. Just a nice little park I enjoyed with my Neice and nephew. ( also the amazing view underneath the first narrows / Lionsgate bridge).I highly recommend for families

Scott R

For a sunny Sunday with a farmer's market going on, and construction in the neighborhood, there was lots of parking, a great vibe, and of course, the view and beach are always amazing. A nice place to go to spend a relaxing day in the outdoors beachside

Bill Sall

Best beach and amazing sunset..!! Love the fishing pier ..!

Urszula Blaszczyk

Dulce Ramirez

This is a place to spend the day with family or your couple. It's clean, it has an amazing view and If the weather is nice and clear it feels like having a picnic, going to the skatepark or just hang around the mall. It's quiet and clean and there are a few places to have lunch/dinner in case you want to enjoy a good meal. Good place to go!!

Just Sing

Beautiful place!

Zahide Sezerman

Fun place to be in summer friendly staff Ok food

Chris Correia

We went to Dine with a view. Stunning, food and service was phenomenal

Alexandria Dunnewold

Beautiful views, dog park and dog beaches around past the golf course. It’s a wonderful place to take your fur friend and enjoy that cool ocean breeze

Dexter Venter

One of the most beautiful park in BC. So peaceful and quiet. The beach is lovely

jamie Lewis

Go to place for a picnic and dip in the ocean. Good buzz..

Nate T

Beautiful park. Only issue is parking

David McAdam

In the rain the soccer field held up very well, with true bounces. Area around the field was clean and drained well.

Adam Withers

Nice place to swim in Van.

Bryan

An ok park. We went by when a farmers market was there and the options at the market were pretty sad and there was nothing special at all. Overall mediocre beach not worth going to visit if you don’t live extremely close by

Andrea

Best dog beach in the northshore

Veron Atkinson

Parking is limited and entry is a little hard to find.

Kim Ghilarducci

Beautiful park! Gorgeous location across the water from Stanley Park. Great park for dogs and dog walkers

Marlene Philip

The seated area was packed with people enjoying music, dancing, having a beer or glass of wine, food, socializing & having fun. Grey job again Harmony Arts. Wonderful seeing many Vendors whom I've known from Granville Island Market. A Wonderful 2 weeks of great Artists

Lisa Z

Stunning park with beautiful views and friendly locals!

manish vaish

In Vancouver, I hadn't thought we gonna get a less crowded clean beach. Well, I was wrong. This is it! This one is beautiful. Checkout the pictures I shared. ????

Fortino V

This is a beautiful tranquil park. Unfortunately it has become a bit too busy.

Ali Tehrani

I run twice a week, otherwise I really miss this heaven

Rico E.

Cleen Park, beautiful beach and good view to Stanley Park. If you are lucky, you can see some islands from Vancouver Island. You can find public washrooms and a beach restaurant.

Annaliza Gruber

Our favorite place to hang out as a family. This beach is beautiful. Water is clear, sands are fine, love walking barefooted. With the view of Lions gate Bridge, Stanley Park and other side of Vancouver, it is beautiful! Playground is a hit, not a massive one but so much to play for the kids. Lots of free parking but it gets really busy in the afternoon. It's worth visiting to unwind and relax.

Marco Bejasa

Nice park. Not too crowded.

Duncan Deepcover

Off-leash park is great, lots of grass, beach, ocean and fresh water (Capilano river) for dog swimming.

Salma Bakr

One of the most interesting playgrounds I’ve seen in a long while, with such a cool variety of equipment. The enjoyable view hosts lots of ships, boats and parasails..

Benson Leung

Nice view and walk. I gave 4 stars due to their signage are confusing regarding dogs. You'll be the judge.

Jane choi

Beautiful place, convenient location and lots of parking.

Jacqueline J

We love to walk our dog down at Ambleside, parking is often a nightmare. Gets pretty windy.

ANA danesh

Serene, peaceful, clean, accessible. Nature within the city and ideal for sunset and nature photography.

Glen MacGillivray

A hidden jewel. Nice facilities and beach

Dale Mark George Hansen

Such a great environment. I've enjoyed this park since I was very young...

Bree-Anna Weir

Nice amenities. Parking is a mess if lots people are going boating as it lacks adequate parking space for park users, sports facility users, local shopping and there is no proper parking that I've seen for boat trailers to they just block up everything. Excellent modern washroom design at the sports fields that is designed to reduce gender stigma - kudos! Beautiful field hockey-only pitch with several additional multi-sport fields. Unfortunately flooding can be an issue and tournaments cannot use air-horns due to noise bylaws (which makes managing tournies MUCH more difficult than at other locations as players waiting for games have a very hard time hearing). Typicaly a bit cooler than many other fields due to its location right near the ocean.

Clementine Clark

I live this place. There is a lovely walk along the seafront with good views of the Lions Gate bridge, Stanley Park and the ocean. Always busy with ships coming and going and seaplanes taking off and landing. A good place for marine birds and I have seen otters and there is usually a seal around. The off leash dog park is great but watch for dog poop on the grass. At the Western side of the dig park is a nice little pond which is a good place to see ducks, herons and swans. There are more birds here in winter than summer. Further west is a volleyball net, skate park, basketball nets and a nice park for little kids. There is also a basketball pitch and an open field which is nice for picnics, playing ball and flying kites and the like. There are picnic tables and a place to play boule (sp?).

Leigh Collins

Love this playground! Fun for all ages and a lovely beach. Bathrooms and a cafe are very close by. Lots of parking just across the street.

Derrick Lee

Small farmers market in the early morning and afternoon on the weekend. Nice variety of stands with live music and food as well. Rest of the park was beautiful as always.

Patrick Jesso

Was a very nice beach, lots of people but not over crowded

Richard Mowat

Amazing place. Roasted hot dogs!

Gursewak Dulai

Amazing park. Such a great park to go chill out. We had a barbecue and made friends with our neighbors. It was amazing 10/10 would recommend.

Najib Huq

Beautiful peaceful place to hang out

Michelle Middleton

Love this park! Something for everyone. Lovely off leash beach for dogs, skate park, cycling lanes, walking trails, ballfields and soccer pitches, Sunday markets. So much to do there. Lovely views of cruise ships and freighters.

Irshad Khan

It was a Sunny day with a some cool air coming in from the bay. This park has everything for all the ages: playarea for the young lot and a beach for the older ones.

Sikandar Mann

Best place for picnic with family and beach

Donnabee Bradshaw

Very nice place to walk, pick up sea shells and inhale the ocean air. If you're lucky a cruise ship might sail by. Such a beautiful place where people can walk their dogs, which should be limited due to the amount of dog poo that thoughtless dog owners fail to pick up...didgusting !

Alexander Shcherbak

Good place to have a walk along the water, stop for a coffee, public washroom is a plus

Julia Bjerre

One of the best parks I've ever been to. There are soccer fields, baseball, a 3hole golf course, beach and my favorite, a beautiful dog park. I take my dog there a couple of times a week. There is a wooded area then a grassy area that leads to a beach just for dogs. Being a super dog lover, this is the area that impresses me most of all.. waterfront real estate just for dogs and their humans. If you have a dog, this is the place to be; I can't imagine a nicer dog park exists. Oh, and the just human side of the park is pretty awesome too.

Conner Preston

Very nice beach. Unfortunately there’s not much sand it’s more like rocks nowadays but great views of the Lions gate Bridge and sunsets.

noel boucher

A beautiful park with everything you need to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Bring the kids as their is lots and lots to see and do. Lots of games and rides to be had here!

John Morris

Great spot to walk and enjoy the weather! Sunsets are unbelievable!

Steve St. Pierre

We decided to head to a different beach as we normally check out "local" ones to us. Well I gotta say I'm glad we ended up in the opposite direction! Ambleside is very family oriented, very busy but still adequate spacing on the beach, parking was free for a few hours (enough time to check out the beach and a local stores) and it was clean. I'd definitely go ba k. The views were spectacular and you will notice some familiar landmarks like Stanley Park and the Lions Gate bridge. When we arrived the tide was out and we were able to go exploring. We saw starfish aplenty, a weasel, eagles, crabs (people were crabbing as well) and the water was just the right temp in this heatwave we've been experiencing.

Chad Perrier

I spit a pretty vulgar freestyle over some bushes at a family picnic I was unaware was happening. While my buddies rolled a joint. It was overall a good time, though they wouldn't admit my bars were heat so that hurt a little bit. Honestly I'm over it and I had fun

Ron Schaeffer

Ambleside continues to be a scenic and great facility. The issue for me this time (a Tue evening) is that in a time of COVID it was quite crowded. Difficult to even find a parking spot; lots of small groups of people on the beach, most of which I'm not sure would be 'bubbles' and yet mostly without masks. My bubble (3 of us, 1 household) were able to pick a spot on the grass near the beach which was distanced from anyone else; as a result we didn't mask up. Ps fish & chips from the updated concession were ????.

Patrick Lin

Nice place for a stroll by yourself, with the family or your beloved pet! There is a more pet friendly portion of the trail that starts right behind Park Royal near the T&T or Staples office depot. Heading further west towards Dunderave will have more people and access to John Lawson Park.

Canadian BC

I came today at 8:00 p.m. washroom was closed . Website says it's open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.. That was disgusting. The people who are taking care of the park are completely irresponsible.

Tony Gan

Too crowded, facilities are aged. Ocean View is nice but I've seen nicer. I have no idea why ppl love going there.

pluralist always

Views while sitting on the beach in ambleside park

Efren Isonza

It's a complete park, with beautiful sunset to see.

I went there for the first time in Summer 19' Can't believe HEAVEN DOES EXIST. Be it the crisp salty air, summer longing feeling, white sand beach, sea shore it just touches every phrase of a romcom. I love the place. Do check out the beach walk area. Its great for memorable pictures.

When every other place was too hot for comfort, the beach/park was lovely and cool.

Ambleside Park is a place where you can enjoy a beautiful walk on the beach and dip your feet in the Pacific Ocean or have a picnic. There is a boardwalk where you can walk your dog and even a designated area where you can let your dog loose to run around and go for a swim in the ocean. There is a beautiful eatery with great quality food also. There are several basketball areas and often busy. For the golfing groups there is an amazing 9 hole short golf course also. Across the water sits the Amazing Stanley Park with views you can only see from Amleaide Park. I would highly recommend Ambleside Park

If you want to see the real view of the Golden gate bridge and the Seawall of Stanley Park? This is the real place to check it out. There is a nice seawall too to walk by and lot of amenities restaurants near by.

Good basketball court with 4 hoops (as well another one further away). Good variety of activities to do at this park.

Ambleside has a mix of everything: bball courts, green space, beach to chill with you and your dog or play vball with friends, rocky shoreline to explore with kids during low tide and a pretty cool new beach eatery that looks like it serves alcohol (yay!) and cool outdoor seats. I came here and had a picnic on the grass on the side of the parking lot. Only thing is it’s a dog zone so dogs are every where, just beware that many are not leashed. Also parking gets really bad after lunch time so plan accordingly!

Nice place. Has ducks, swans and plenty of birds. A beach area and a good playground. It can get windy but it's worth it.

Beautiful view and there's a skateboard park in front of the beach. Great place to go to hang out with friends and family, to have fun or just to think.
