It was a pretty neat place to visit. We drove up through some of the backroads which definitely added to the experience. We went for the sunflower festival and some people may object to the prices but it was certainly a fun time for us. The field of sunflowers and the goats were a nice experience. When we went they had a live band performing. It was really cool.
We decided to go to this at night time one day but we hadn't pre-purchased tickets and it was busy. The lady at the tickets said that "they recommend" purchasing our tickets in advance. This wasn't on their website. It was on their Facebook. So we drove home. We ended up getting tickets for another day but it rained. We opted to just get tickets for the day time stroller walk. Nobody really was watching the gate. There were barely any pumpkin people around. Some of the animatronics were broken. We watched a farm dog eat poop basically. So we paid $8 to see sheep and a dog eat goats poop.
I absolutely love this place. I always have an amazing time here whether it's going with family or going with friends.
great spot to bring or family or to just buy a pumpkin and grab a beer
Howells was ok but they sell way too many tickets. The lineup for food was over an hour. The food was overpriced. $15 for chicken fingers and no drink. Had I not waited an hour, I would have just gone to McDonald’s. The kids had a good time but at least half our time was spent in lineups.
We had a really good time! The firepit was so much fun! We usually only have fires in summer but that is going to change! The lights were so beautiful! Really appreciated the heaters! The people who run this place ate all very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back!
Great for kids and it's a big farm. The family loved it.
Great place to go in the fall, especially around Halloween. A little pricey to get in and do all the things here, but I bet this place makes the vast majority of their sales during this season. Lots to do here, plan to spend a couple of hours and enjoy the time with the kids here. Took a walk in the nature trail to get away from the busy other areas (nice change)
Maybe this place is the great for Hollaween, of course I wouldn't know I have never been there at Hollaween. But in my opinion they need to spruce it up a bit for Christmas. It as a beer garden(room) fudge room you can also get Kraft dinner, Popcorn, Hot chocolate and other beverages. There is a few light displays but not many, oh and I can't forget the frogs they were the highlight of our trip.
Fun for the whole family! Wish they would put up some spotlights at the slingshots.
Went today for the first Christmas light show with my girls. It was a nice family outing. L
TLDR: Fantastic and unique outdoor fall experience, great albeit pricier pumpkins, in need of a better map for navigation This is a hidden little gem of the St. Catharines area. I've lived here for years and only just discovered its existence. For families and friends alike this little fair had a little bit of something for everyone. My group and I were expecting pumpkins in a field but instead we found vast quantities of pumpkins organized by size shape and species, a well made corn maze, a collection of farm animals, pig races, a haunted house and so much more. We were startled at first with having to pay to get inside this little park but quickly found ours money's worth and walked out with some excellent pumpkins that were a bit on the pricey side.
We come every year to pick our pumpkins and always have a great time! Weekends can be pretty busy during peak times in the season, so opt for weekdays if you want to avoid crowds. Lots of things to do, we love the corn maze and wagon ride. The food is great too, we never leave without pumpkin donuts!
Fun place for an afternoon with friends, taking silly pictures among the sunflowers. A lot of people were there on a Sunday afternoon but it’s a big enough area to space out. Being able to buy sunflowers and pick your own is a nice option. Also the snack bar area had a great selection of wine, beer and cider!
Enjoyed afternoon with Sunflowers
I had the absolute most wonderful experience with the lovely people of Howells! On September. 14th, I emailed the farm asking if they’d be willing to help me propose to my beautiful girlfriend by simply allowing me to purchase pumpkins that would have “will you marry me?” carved into them, and placed somewhere on the property. The response I received from Skylar at Howells was far beyond any expectations I had! They were just as excited to help me “pop the question” as I was! Not only did the farm carve the pumpkins for me, they set up a beautiful display on their property with hay bales, lights, and smaller/decorative pumpkins. They continued to go above & beyond by pulling out a 2nd tractor & helped a friend & I decorate it with lights, so that when my now fiancé & I arrived, we were whisked away onto a “private wagon ride.” This took us to the part of the property where the proposal was set up, and lit up just as the wagon pulled up. It was beautiful. I could not have imagined a more perfect proposal than the one you all helped me pull off. I don’t think I can adequately express my appreciation in words. Howells will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you Skylar & crew so very much ❤️ oh, and she said yes!
This place is gorgeous!! So many sunflowers field, different props and big areas for the animals to run around. I didn’t have much time to sit down and try the food. Will be trying next time.
too expensive for what you get. The tramopline was NOT running. No maze of any kind. The kids had fun playing on the slide and feeding goats. The pumpkin men were fun to take pictures. There was no other attractions running at this time.
Great place to visit with the family really nice teams and pet zoo is amazing, best time is to visit during The Fall season with pumpkins and fall colours around really nice place. pricing is a bit the high on the weekend so you can look for the non busy days for a better deal
Used to go all the time in the fall and loved it. Tried the sunflower fest and it was alright but free to get in. Came for the winter one and it was not pleasant. First off you pay 8 bucks to get in.. the hot drinks were not hot, people were walking without masks every where and the only lights the had were on the trees as soon as you got in the area. Not worth 8 dollars to get in that's for sure.
We've been going since our kids were little. I think since 2014? This year we went for both the sunflowers and the fall festival. We missed the corn maze this year, which I'm guessing was replaced by the sunflower maze, so that was sad. Other than that, it was great. The addition of the firepit rentals were lovely. The ability to order right to your pit was great. It would just be nice to expand the firepit to the stuff available in the food building
I thoroughly enjoyed this place for a visit to the sunflower field. The only reason why I didn't give five stars is because of the signage when trying to get there. So many people drive by because its hidden. The farm hosts a sunflower field, animals, and a beer garden. Upon entering you will likely go through the beer garden first. There are a lot of tables to sit at (all socially distanced). This area is where you order your food and drinks. We tried the charcuterie board as well as the Nacho Poutine. The charcuterie board was average, nothing too special. Perhaps a different variety of meat would make the board a better experience. The Nacho Poutine was amazing and went well with the ciders we ordered. The farm animals were great to see - goats, sheep, chickens and donkeys. You can buy feed for the goats and feed them. The sunflower field was really fun. They have a lot of different photo-op areas. The entire place is perfectly designed for the ultimate photo taking experience. I highly recommend going here with friends or family. Young children would adore it (and the play area!). **Updated for Christmas** We visited for Christmas but unfortunately didn't receive the memo that the event was closed due to rain. Thankfully we live nearby and didn't travel very far to go. I hope we can go back another time!
The whole family loves it! Even though we go every year, we still always look forward to it. This year there were actually new attractions and they were so great! Our daughter loved the new corn pit! Cant wait for next year!
I have mixed feelings. It is definitely nice but not customer oriented.
Really enjoyed this place with our 7 year old. A little pricey, but there is tons of stuff to do which makes it worth it.
It was fun but it's more of a place to take children. There's a couple train rides and there are hay rides as well as slides, pig races and corn mazes. There are a lot of attractions for little kids. It can get a little pricey but you only pay once at the entrance so it might be worth it if you have kids.
We visit every year. Great place to bring kids as there is plenty to keep them occupied Quite a large selection of pumpkins and the prices are reasonable, about 55 cents per pound. Can get busy, especially on weekends and the closer you get to Halloween.
excellent staff on duty, everyone was very friendly! the farm is well maintained and fun, the sunflowers were beautiful. the prices are fair and there was a sweet baby donkey so I am happy.
such a great place allot of different things to enjoy for all ages. memories will last a life time it's a must go to yearly the kids always have a great time.. best part if the tractor ride train ride and slide. dont forget the yummy fresh pumpkin donuts and apple cider
A wonderful Christmas experience! Go early to avoid lines for the food. The food was very good, generous portions of the poutine and funnel cake, definitely enough to be shared. The hot chocolate and apple cider left more to be desired. For the price I would not recommend these drinks. Overall a fun family outing with lots of great photo opportunities. We will be coming back next year.
We had such an amazing time at Howell Pumpkin Farm! There were LOADS of fun attractions and fall festivities. Cute pumpkin selections as well (pink, blue, white, orange) in different sizes for GOOD prices! The only thing is to get in it is a little overpriced! as well as the “tokens” for different attractions. Other than that we had an awesome time here!
Great family fun
A lot of cheap people posting. The prices aren’t a secret. They’re all posted on their FB pages and websites. If you don’t want to pay it stay home. They’re family run, with hydro and the propane costs alone they’d have to charge more. People gotta make money. If you don’t want to pay $10 a beer then grab a case and drink at home alone where we don’t have to hear your complaining. We went, had an amazing time. First time visitors at Howells. Will definitely be back. Thanks for your hard work to provide us with a unique experience.
We had the best experience last night! The food was incredible, the sunflowers were beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful
Pretty good place for the children, a lot of fun for them. A little over priced. Lots of parking.
Wonderful experience at the pumpkin patch.. It was our first time visiting with friends and family. Had arrived late so couldn't explore everything as it got dark. Its a good place for kids there's so much for them to play and experience. Wouldn't recommend the food as there's not a lot of option and also looks more pricey. Masks are mandatory but found many without the masks so keep things in mind about social distancing. Glad that they had hand sanitizers hooked up in every corner so it got easy for us to keep sanitizing every time we touched something. We girls all had crazy fun.. Jumping on the trampoline, sling shots, puppet shows, feeding the goats.. exploring and also took great pictures.. Will definitely return next year hopefully early so that we can explore the sunflower field and many more that we missed..
Alot has changed but still great family fun
A fantastic fun beautiful farm especially for families. We enjoyed it's beautiful creative pumpkin carvings and Halloween decorations and flowers. Some fun activities are there for kids as well. I didn't like the price of the tickets. It was 24 $ for each which would make it costly for a family of four. Other than that it's extremely worth visiting.
Used the code PUMPKIN21 to get $8 off per ticket and thus the cost of entry was $10 a ticket. Visited in September 2021. Kids had a lot of fun and I felt the cost of the entry at $10 was well worth it. The area is quite big but not as large as Dyments Pumpkin patch (and while the views of the land here at Howells are pleasant, they don't match the views from Dyments. The paintball feature was not yet open, so the only "pay extra" activities were the apple canons and the pumpkin slingshots. Fee is $5 for 4 shots on the apple cannon or $5 for a bucket of pumpkins for the slingshot. The apple cannon is lots of fun but they need a step for smaller kids to see what they're shooting at. The Corn maze wasn't ready - or if it was, I missed it. The cost of purchasing tokens for these games is a bit silly. I ordered $30 worth of tokens and they charged me something like $30.32..... like who really cares about the $0.32 - and the time it takes to count that out? Same issue with trying to purchase bottled water... 2 bottles were $5.49... given the cost of a bottle of water is something like $0.26 a bottle.... can they not just round up or down their pricing to $2.50 a bottle (or $3)? Lineups for food and drinks were SOOOOO SLOOOOOOW. Definitely poor management in this area and lots of room for improvement. I also noticed in the main food concession restaurant that there were a lot of flies in the food prep area - its unseasonably warm and this is presumably a fall-only space - but still I'd maybe a little weary about eating food from here with all those flies buzzing around. Ultimately, my kids had a lot of fun, and for $10 a head I'd recommend this place, but I'll bring water for my kids next time (despite there being a sign saying no outside food or drink).
Awesome place love it just needs rules of no smoking enforced and staff take better care when little kids are on the pillow my 3 year old got trampled by 12 year old as staff let the big kids on with little ones not good other then that i love the place been going there from the time i was in grade 4 im not 37 i go every year with my 4 year old some of the chicken and corn pumpkin dinosaur just need fixed up could use a little tlc
Went here for the first time with my newborn, it was beautiful. Somethings were closed, I believe due to covid. But it was still worth it. Will be returning every year.
A lot of things were closed or not working (nature walk, T-Rex, some animatronics, etc). Not much to do, the coins weren't really worth it and the drinks are over priced. Still a good time with some good friends and the workers are quite nice.
Very nice place to spend a time with family, but were disappointed that for public they left just part of the farm open. We expected to have some walk before sitting around a fire pit.
Went for dog day event. Beautiful. Very organized everyone helpful. Needs more lighting though
Always an amazing experience! I love the new beer garden and visiting with their goats
Great place for family and friends. Lots to do for kids of all ages. And adults. It needs more lighting in the parking lot and on the road walking into the grounds at night time. Fun for all.
Excellent Family Atmosphere!!! Pumpkins are well worth the trip. Don't forget to try the treats, spice donuts, candy apples.
Great! A bit busy when we went the Saturday before Halloween, but that wasn't really an issue for us. the cost to go to the extra things like the corn mazes, etc., is a bit expensive if you're with your family though.
My boyfriend and I went here for our first time to get some pumpkins, it’s a really cute and welcoming environment for kids and adults of all ages. I highly recommend visiting Howell Family Pumpkin Farm for the attractions, food and of course, the pumpkins!
Fun fun fun!!!! If you're planning a family event. This is it!
amazing place to go with friends or family. My friends and I went to see the sunflowers and had an awesome time. cute photo props and many animal to interact with. the sunflowers were beautiful and we got to take home a bunch. excited to see what the pumpkin patch is like
A bit expensive to get in- definitely better for older children (6+ maybe) but a nice, fun place for families. Hills, gravel and uneven walking surfaces as well as parking make accessibility a bit cumbersome (for strollers, wheelchair parking is right next to the park- everyone else parks in a field down the road and walks up)
Have going to howels since ee move ti Canada in 2012. Great place, However this year since lots of attractions broken down, corn maze was removed The pumpkin dragon was down, the piglets race also disappear. Attractions needmaintenance. Hope it improves
Nice outing with friends. Drink selection was fantastic. Got a little busy which created a long lineup to order, waited about 20 mins.
Great place tp bring ypur family for some fall activities.
We've started visiting Howell's as an annual family tradition. It's an amazing place for young children, as there are tractor rides, a corn maze, a pumpkin slingshot, giant tube slides, apple cannons, pig races, hourly shows and displays, animatronic skeletons and costumed pumpkins, an air trampoline and much more. Best of all, for adults and children alike, they have an outdoor cafeteria with all of the delicious fall fares, you could possibly hope for; apple cider, pumpkinpie, sweet potato fries, funnel cake, pumpkin donuts, fudge, and the list continues. The food is homemade and local, so maybe hopefully that'll make you feel less guilty about eating it all. The price point is pretty decent, considering that it's an entertaining afternoon, morning or full day (if you really can't get enough) for the whole family. This family farm has done a really great job of making this countryside place a must-see local destination for the whole family.
BRUTAL. We showed up to Howells this past Sunday. What a terrible experience. I would like to point out this is our 4th year in a row going and have never had a problem until now. Everything was broken. It took over a hour to get 1 bag of popcorn because their machines were broken. The pumpkin launch - most of the slingshots were broken. The Apple launch - was breaking down when we were using it. There was no zombie paintball. It took at least an hour waiting in line to do ANYTHING. Just a terrible experience and we will definitely not go back again.
Great farm for the family, lots of activities offered. Tickets can be purchased online as there is an admission fee for the activities which include a corn maze, tractor rides, animals and a haunted house. There is no fee for the beer and wine garden. Fire pits can also be rented and are nice and private. Pumpkins were priced well and they offer a wide selection.
Lovely time with my family. My almost 2 year old daughter enjoyed a lot. There is plenty of stuff to do for little kids. I'd recommend this place for kids between 2 and 10 years old. I see myself coming again since my little one has so much fun. The animated animals was a hit for her: singing, making jokes, that made her day.
Huge disappointment this year. I’ve been coming here since I was little and loved that I got to bring my kids. 3-4 years ago it was still great. Last year was rough, but we chalked it up to covid. But at least it ran well. Booked a time slot, got right in. This year was even worse! No corn maze, no pig races, things weren’t operational. Even the hay bales and black plastic tube slides were missing from the large hill. Got there early for our 5pm tickets and took almost an hour to even get in the place. We paid $100+ for our family of 5. Basically all we got out of it was a large hill for the kids to run down, a play set as well as a wagon ride. The jumping pillow worked and the haunted house was there. But after waiting an hour for the wagon ride, it was super late and we couldn’t wait another hour for the haunted house! All the line ups were ridiculous! They really need more staff! Why pre book time slots if everything is so backed up anyway? We’ll definitely be looking into another place next year.
This was our first time visiting Howell’s and our first impression was pretty good! It’s decorated really well, you definitely feel the fall/Halloween spirit from the moment you walk in. Lots to do for kids. I did find it a tad bit over priced ($20/person seems a bit much, $24 during high season, which is the most expensive I’ve seen for something like this) but I could get over the price since there is a decent amount to do. Where my main complaint is is in regards to the food situation. The line was long (understandable) but the efficiency was terrible. They have a limited menu, where fries are the most common item so it seems like they should be a lot more efficient at pumping out fries so things didn’t take so long. And with cranky kids waiting this long for food, it’s just an unpleasant experience. We probably spent about 40 minutes lining up and waiting for food. Overall, Howell’s was a good time, we will go back, but we will probably not be ordering food.
Howell’s was fun, last time I went was 6 years ago and not a lot of added changes to date. The food is ok. There’s some fun activities and beautiful scenery but the visit was just way too expensive! I was shocked at what I spent for 3 people. Their saving grace was the pumpkin fudge and pie I bought there???? Very Yummy!
DO NOT GO HERE! This place is a COVID hotspot waiting to happen if it hasn’t already. Social distancing is NOT being enforced by the staff. Guests are not wearing masks anywhere including the inside areas. Only two staff of the dozens there had a mask. They are not sanitizing high traffic spots like tractors used for photo ops after I saw literally 5 different groups not together take pictures on them. This doesn’t even mention that there is nothing but a couple sunflower patches where most of the sunflowers were dead. Wouldn’t go back even without the COVID issues as it is a complete ripoff.
The fire pits were adorable. Super cute experience for the family.
Great place to bring the family. And you can even have a beer. My type of place. See you next year.
Wow! This place is always a fun time for kids & parents. We can spend hours and still not have explored the whole place. We usually go twice a season because of how far away it is from home, but still make the effort to go each autumn ????
Such a cute establishment! Went there this weekend and had such a great time. Love the fact that there is a beer garden and the food was delicious. Great family environment and very friendly staff.
I've been coming since I was a young girl. Brought my two older children when they were young. Now I come every year from Toronto with my toddler. It is a great way to spend any weekend or week day out with the family. I highly recommend going at least once. The pumpkins have never been a disappointment for us. Worth every kilometer!
had lots of fun here this fall (2020)! they did really well adapting to covid and restrictions (booking online, organizing lines). great wagon ride and fun corn maze. animals are always great, they are very friendly and love pets! prices have definitely increased over the years while attractions have decreased which is disappointing but it was still great fun. there could be more control is sense of enforcing social distancing and more sanitizing but of course this is a new scenario for us all so i think they did great! thank u for a fun time howells!
First time and it was ok. I felt the entrance fee was expensive for a family of 4 considering other farms I've been to. You still have to pay extra for some activities inside. We enjoyed ourselves but may consider alternatives next time to compare.
Good place to bring the kids but it can get pretty costly by the time you pay full admission price for anyone over 2 years old, add 25 cents every time you want to give the animals some oats plus the cost of buying lunch if you're there at that time. But the kids should have a great time.
Loved the all you can eat sweet corn weekend! Corn was delish and so much fun stuff for the kiddos to do on the farm. A little drive from the hustle and bustle of the big city but very very worth it!
So much fun! I love the hills and valleys of this farm and there are so many activities for the kids to do. Especially during the pumpkin festival. It's so pretty. My only complaint is the food. It takes soooooo long for them to prepare food. We waited almost an hour for 2 poutines and chicken fingers and waited 20 mins for kettle corn. My suggestion would be eat before you go. Other than that you'll have a great time.
Had a Lovely day!! Love this place for any activities they have, we have been to the Sunflowers, Pumpkin and Winterfest, Loves them all and highly recommend .
Beautiful location and lots to do with the kids. Animals, sunflower fields, pumpkin patch and place to eat and have a beer for the adults
Such a great place with a lot to do for kids! Unfortunate that some attractions were closed, hopefully they will be open on our next visit.
I enjoyed the Howell Family Pumpkin Farm very much. I would have given it 5 stars but was not happy with the amount of people and families that were inconsiderate and not wearing their masks when they were not distancing. I had my 23 month old grandson with me that was not able to wear a mask and worried about him. We wore our masks to protect them and they did not care about the people around them.
I’ve been going here for as long as I can remember, I even worked a season there and never had a single bad thing to say!
Fantastic family fun:)
Really great for the kids. Parents too. Only downside is if you have any back issues or dont want to have your back be in pain dont go on the wagon ride.
Sunflowers were beautiful & fresh lemonade was perfect on a hot day! Such a fun place to visit ????
The sunflower experience was so much fun ????
Very cool light display and good for kids. Way more then what is in pics. These are the private fire pit rentals
fun for the whole family and looking forward to going again soon! nice selection of beers and wines with a large area for seating outdoors. regular poutine made quality curds, next time i will try the kettle corn. picked some sunflowers and bought some fresh corn. looking forward to pumpkins!
Overpriced for admission, considering half the activities were not lit at all for a place that is open until 11pm. My daughter was hugely disappointed that the animatronics barely worked, and that all the feed dispensers for the farm animals were either broken, or completely empty. At least they have half decent pumpkins. In the end, for the $40 it cost us to get in, it wasn't worth it. Needless to say, we will not be returning next year.
I love this place with all my heart! The people are friendly, the farm is beautiful, love the animals, the pumpkin displays, the food! I also learned today that they will be doing a Christmas event, which I am looking forward to already. Thank you Howells for the being the highlight of my Fall every year :)
Lots of animals, attractions, decent food, tons of strange animatronics and random but interesting displays. Tons of work goes into this place every year. Family of 3 with kid over 5 = 70$ on a high traffic day, so pretty pricey too. Not worth 70, but maybe 30-50
Fire pit rental with smores pkg...So Fun!!! Friendly staff????????
An iconic stop for fall time in Niagara. Their activities are an absolute blast, the food is really good, and the pumpkins are great whether you are cooking or carving. I actually HIGHLY recommend their pumpkin fudge. It is the single greatest fudge I have ever tasted. I think I will make a habit of visiting every fall until the day I die. GREAT place to take the kiddos or to just go with friends or even on your own. Absolutely iconic. I cannot praise this place enough.
I had a nice day coming here to take some pictures with friends around the sunflowers. I wish we came earlier in the season because there’s not many good sunflowers anymore (Sept 10) but we still made the best of it. $15 for entry and you can cut/take home one sunflower with the entry ticket. After our little photo shoot, we went to the seating area, had some drinks and poutine next to the goats. They have really cute fire pit areas with a picnic bench to sit on facing the goats that I would totally come back to do with a significant other. Super romantic and cozy. The only downside is they truly aren’t enforcing anything related to social distancing, masks or general COVID besides cleaning the tables after use but I also understand that it’s difficult to do mandatory masks and social distancing when you’re in a very open field/area outdoors.
Disgusted at how the prices have gone significantly up. I can't even take my two daughters to this pumpkin patch without it costing a trip to wonderland. I understand it's a quite extravagant patch, but $10 for a $3 can of cider? Crooks....
Brought advance tickets online well in advance, get there and still have to wait in line to get wrist bands..one cashier for admission but 3 for cashing out pumpkins. Waited 20 min to get the wristbands. Then again inside for some food. Lines everywhere. If I wanted to wait in lines, I'd go to pumpkinfest. Thank goodness I got a promo ticket price in the summer or I would have been even more upset about the money we essentially wasted. My 11 and 6 year olds were bored. It is definitely more fun for the younger kids. On to something better next year. We are done with Howells.
I went for the sunflower field this summer and it was a great experience. the staff were very nice and everything was reasonably priced.
Although this place is a little corny I took my teens and their boyfriends here on Thanksgiving and we had so much fun! The younger ones enjoyed the trampoline built into the ground and playing tic tac toe. Tons of pumpkins to choose from and the fudge was delicious.
It's all about perspective. Sometimes you need to spend a bunch of money on something that's absolutely not worth it, in order to appreciate some of the other things in life that you take for granted. Living in Niagara my whole like, I brought my family here on Thanksgiving to see what the rage is all about. They didn't tell us that the maze was closed until after we paid, had our wristbands on.
I love Howell's, it's such a beautiful place with an element of magic. There is so much to do for the kids from climbing straw bales to meeting the animals, watching the pig races or a giant animatronic dinosaur and taking the 'train' ride. It's truly a wonderfully exhausting day for the whole family.
Great experience. Staff was friendly and the flowers were beautiful.
Fun experience, good pumpkin pie. The food is really good and worth the price. The farm itself in some places is a lot of grass, and the entry price is a bit expensive for what you’re getting in my opinion.
Great outing for date, with friends, with family, lots to do and great atmosphere. Good treats to eat and plenty of space and smiley personnel
Amazing times for the family fo four. All rides included and some tokens too! Not overcrowded compared to some other farms we visited. Conveniently booked online.
Lots of fun for little ones. More things to do then my daughter had enough energy for. Will likely make this an annual family tradition for Thanksgiving/Halloween
Great place for a family adventure or date night without the kids. The beer & wine garden and fire pits make this a great adult only excursion as well! Kudos to the young and hip management for making a pumpkin farm a cool hangout for adults.
I live near here and every fall season I go a few times to the concession just to get the pumpkin donuts. They are to die for! The fudge is really good too. Just prepare for a long wait in line :) I would go in for the attractions but find it to be a bit pricy for what it is.
Did not live up to the high, local reputation. There was only one tractor driver, so kids had to wait extra long as the driver had to alternate between driving the cow train and the dinosaur train. The corn maze was a muddy disaster! My family and I were slipping all over the place and due to the grading topography, there were some very tricky spots. When we tried to order food, we waited in a long line to find out they were sold out of fries, donuts and cider. However, the kids really enjoyed the corn pit and inflatable bouncing area. Bottom line, not a good value.
Best pumpkin patch with activities around! So much for the kids and adults to do. I did the bonfire a few weeks ago and it was lovely!
We had an amazing experience in Howell's Farm Sunflower fields yesterday... there is something for each one in the family....those who enjoy a more active experience enjoyed the tractor ride and sliding through the black tube, those who enjoy photography took tons of photos and those who like to take it easy stayed in the beer garden to enjoy beer and delicious snacks. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. We got to meet Alice and Ralph the cute pigs and learnt that Alice is due for her first litter in a week! We spent as much time as we wanted there and they didn't limit us to the one hour that was on the website. We had lots of fun and would definitely come again next year or on any future events. We would love to see Alice's little piglets ????
This place can be pretty nice to check out, the firepits and sunflower field are nice however I can't give a higher rating due to the incredibly high prices. I mean I guess if you have an opportunity to overcharge people, you'd do it right?
Beautiful place and lovely people. Ticket comes with a complementary sunflower ????
Definitely has gone downhill. Ive been going since I was a child, and bringing my kids for the last 4 years. There isnt as much attractions as previous years and feels like theyre focusing more towards adults. Definitely not worth paying the price and most likely will not be returning next year.
Good fun for kids up to about 10. The "haunted house" is good, but might be too scary for young kids.
We went there today hoping to have a great time with the kids, only to be very disappointed. The admission price just to get inside was 20.00 per person! No family package or any bundles for savings. The admission covers some very basic attractions, for any of the fun attractions you need to buy tokens (3 for $5.00) where 1 token will get you three mini pumpkins for the pumpkin slingshot for example, and you have to purchase your pumpkins to take home. I have three kids, there's no way I'm going to spend enough money to cover our household groceries for a week on going to an overpriced pumpkin patch. Go to Lindley's.
First off ...google says they are opened till 10 they are not. We got here at 5 paid $108 for a family of 4 then found out they close at 7. Waited in line for 32 mins the another 48 mins to get donuts. If this a family affordable activity your looking to do - do not waste your dollars here. There are far more affordable and less waste of a time farms to visit. The food was poor and took for ever to get. This place isn’t suited or ready for the crowds they do get.
Lines were ridiculous, to get in, to get food, to go on any attractions. Opens at 5pm didn’t get in until almost 6:30 didn’t get food until 7:30 by the time we got into the paid portion we only had 1 hour to wait in more lines to do anything. Waste of time and money. Quite unorganized and needs better signage.
They have the largest pumpkins around, the Amusement park/farm is fun for kids under 13. Most rides cost 3 tickets ($5) or a wristband pass for $20 (includes admission). Pricey but you can spend a whole day there.
Had a great time! Lots to so for the little ones and there is no limit to how many times you go on the little tractor pulls or tractor ride, bounce pillow etc. Lots of photo opportunities so make sure to bring your camera! Decent food options (hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings etc). and sweets too (fudge, tarts, candy apple, cotton candy and popcorn). Prices of food are reasonable. During covid times they are doing a good job of sanitizing picnic tables, little carts between people and washroom. And it was not over crowded. They had hand sanitizer throughout the park. The only downside if there was one would be it is a little bit more pricy then some other pumpkin patches and does not include a pumpkin. But I think its worth it!
Visited on sunny weekend Sep 26 2020, 90 min from Toronto on avg traffic. The line up for entering is moving fast , I already precooked online , still the line to get wristbands and tokens. Paint ball Horror house ( I wouldn’t recommend for toddlers or less than 6) Corn maize Sunflower field is the perfect spot for pics No petting zoo, but there are some sheep and a mama donkey , couple of piggies The view is spectacular all over Fudges, pumpkin ???? doughnuts and Putin are sold at market. The bbq outside have hotdogs and burgers. Liquor and beer are sold onsite , perfect atmosphere The fire place by reservation, after sunsets, small lights hung on tree tops make it like a fairytale. I can’t believe I forgot to have some pumpkin picture ???? Highly recommend, I write this review with passion
Great afternoon at the farm with my little girl... gorgeous sunflower fields, loved pruning our own and the photo op areas were amazing... the other stuff is definitely a hit with kids too (hill slide, jumping pillow, wagon ride etc).... Will definitely be back for pumpkin season!
Great fun but it's getting a bit tired looking, nothing a fresh coat of paint and some elbow grease can't fix. Been going for 15+ years!
Great place to spend the day with the little ones. Lots to do and experience. Family friendly. Great staff. They get very busy later in the season. So don't wait too long or you will have to deal with lineups.
Loveeee this place , never seen a farm like this one , so many attractions and colors and music and food and .... wow I wish I had known this place before, I went on Thursday night and it wasn't so busy , definitely our favorite place!!!!
Great time here at the beer garden seeing all the farm animals and having some delicious food and craft beer! We will 100% be back here many times to come this summer and of course for the amazing Niagara Tradition of Halloween here! Cheers!
Amazing farm for all ages. Lot’s of things to do for the kids. They sell fingers foods and beer/wine for adults. Lol. I just hope they also sell pop. Over all experience was amazing.
A visit to the pumpkin patch at Howell's is a great way to celebrate the Fall season. The prices are a little high, but there's still a lot to do for either a family experience or a date night. My favourite was the hay ride, but going through the corn maze and seeing the goats were fun too. While I've never been a fan of carving pumpkins, the selection was really impressive. I was a huge fan, however, of the pumpkin donuts - they were so warm and soft!
Extremely understaffed or the staff there are too inexperienced and unskilled to operate smoothly. Waited an hour in line to get a candy apple to be told they can't make anymore. Expect to wait atleaat an hour in lines for food and attraction. So incredibly greedy for Howel's to completely throw out their customer experience to take everyone's money. Stop letting so many people in everyone on the lineups are complaining and disappointed with the poor service lately. Set a limit or something, people can't enjoy the pumpkin patch when they half of the attractions/electronic shows are broken/malfunctioning, they hay ride is closed because of mud also. Only worth out to come on a Tuesday and still expect to wait in line for up to an hour
Howells is my favourite place on earth! I've went every year since I was a child and even as an adult, they've made additions that still make you want to visit. There's things to do for all ages and the pumpkin donuts are to die for!
Sunflowerfield is not as big, but lots of varieties and photo spots. Worth checking in!
I'm sure that it was a nice place but I was just looking for pumpkins and that wasn't the place to go
One of my favourite pumpkin patches I go every year here with my friends and family.
We loved this place, perfect for every again. So much to do. Everyone must go.
We love coming to Howell’s every year. It’s the highlight of fall for our family. It is Reasonably priced and so much is included with your wrist band.
Great day roaming in the Sunflowers. Lots of picture opportunities, several pieces of machinery like tractors and old trucks strategically placed to add some interest, tried the wagon ride it was fun. There were also lots of activities for the children.
Great trip to Howells - so much fun
Howells pumpkin farm has become a yearly tradition for my boyfriend and I. It is geared towards family’s but we always have a great time with friends! This year was a little different but nonetheless, still a nice afternoon/evening. We were a little disappointed we couldn’t sit by the fire pits surrounded by the lights because they were reservation only but we found a first come first serve fire pit near the entrance. Next year we’ll be sure to book a fire pit and s’mores kit ahead of time.
Had a great day for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday! Beautiful location, lots to see. Would return. Staff was very friendly. The only reason I have given a 3star was because of the lack of staff and signage required at various areas for food/drink. No signs or menus at BBQ area and took a very long time after ordering to get food, missing receipts/order errors. Not advised by staff that everything could be order with QR code if you sit at a table (this was much faster but found out after). Line for corn and kettle corn should have had 2 separate lines as there was tons of corn on the cob ready but not popcorn and people waited and waited when they could have been served if they just wanted corn. Waited 45 minutes in this line. Also, only 1 person doing the popcorn, 1 bag at a time. Should have been pre-made and/or had someone helping running all 3 machines. Poor girl was making, bagging and taking orders all by herself and therefore moved at the pace of a snail. Line ups out the door for the store with no signage or knowledge as to what is even in the "store". Found out later, this is also food. Costs for entry were very high considering there were extra costs for many other things. Would return in the future, but hope owners will look into better staffing and training, especially on a busy weekend.
We look forward to going to howells as a family every year. This year was much different from last. We bought tickets ahead of time and selected a 5:30 time slot, unfortunately we did not get in until 6:40 due to a massive line up! Line ups were so long all through the farm. It took 30 minutes to get onto the cow/dragon tractor ride. Kids were disappointed that the zombie game was closed, and no pig races. We didn't get to do as much as we usually do because the line ups were so long and before we knew it, it was late for our littles and dark. We missed out on the tractor ride, the jumping pillow, snacks/food/drinks,corn maze, and there was very limited options for smaller pumpkins. We were also hoping that the pumpkin dragon would be working but sadly he was tucked asleep under a tarp. We really hope that our experience next time is a little more like we are used to in the past. All that being said, the staff was very nice, and doing their absolute best given the circumstances.
Fun experience for all. Ideal for photos and embracing the season changes.
I used to go here every year since I was a kid. I am disappointed to see how much it costs to just walk around the farm and buy kettle corn. Myself and my family used to go every year to buy some pumpkins, take walk around the farm and buy kettle corn and fudge. Now it costs $20+ to enter into the second half of the farm, which they call the “fun pass”. In this half of the farm the kettle corn stand is located. So if you do not buy the “fun pass” you cannot purchase any kettle corn. We do not like to do any of the attractions, we just enjoyed walking around and seeing the pumpkin displays and feeding the farm animals. It is far too expensive to just take your family out of a leisurely walk, since each person is required to pay $20+ for admission. The farm should reduce admission prices, or not restrict access to the second half of the farm, and move the kettle corn stand so that anyone can purchase. We decided not to go this year because it is just too expensive.
This place is unbelievably expensive. They wanted full price while the place was almost entirely closed for the night. Also the charge 24 dollars and change for everybody whether a child senior or student. No price adjustments. So if you bring in a toddler or baby it's full price. Good assortment of pumpkins price for them not too bad. But holy christ the fee to get in
spent an hour waiting in line for food, no warning that it would be that long. every question i asked an employee was unanswered and nobody knew what they were doing.
The funnel cakes are large and you might want to share them because they are expensive. They don't taste great the next day. lol
Nice farm but it’s better to bring your own food instead to stay in line an hour to eat something..
One of my absolute favourite places to go! They have food, snacks, a small gift shop, tons of events and attractions, plus of course a huge variety of pumpkins for sale. There is a ton to do here so it really is a whole day sort of trip. They have corn mazes, wagon rides, a bunch of animals, cute little games, pumpkin slingshots and much more! I would have to say my favourite thing about this place is the animatronics and decorations throughout the grounds. They talk and even put on little comedy shows. A great place for an outing with friends or family.
What a great place to explore with the kids but also great for adults. Staff very friendly, great food
I come here every year with my family, and usually have a memorable time. I love the set up and it brings me joy to see the kids having such a great time. Most of the staff were kind but this year, the girl who calls time on the kids bouncy pillow, just had to open her mouth and ask snarky questions about my costume. People go there to have an enjoyable time. Its pretty rude of any employee to make someone feel uncomfortable when this is supposed to be a welcoming event. Her questions were insinuating that my costume was inappropriate. I kept up my positivity up for my kids but it definitely dimmed the mood. Even my husband was thrown off by her attitude...
Safety precautions in place, clean, well organized. Fire pits were fun and area clean. Fun family or friend outing
The activities and the scenery are amazing here, truly fun for the whole family. Moreso, the team at Howells goes ABOVE AND BEYOND as far as providing an enjoyable experience.
My friends and I enjoyed Howells! It was nice to walk around and visit some of the attractions (corn maze, wagon ride, goats). The farm also has lots of Halloween and fall decorations which was awesome to look at! I have to say some of the food isn’t great. We bought the nachos and hot chocolate. The nachos were disappointing and the hot chocolate we threw out after taking a sip. We were also disappointed the forest walk and goat walk was closed. Overall it was a good experience to have with friends though!
We normally visit during the fall for the pumpkins and love it! This year we went during the summer (Sept.6/20) to see the sunflowers. We felt safe with the staggered times of entry, the sunflower cutting tools were clean and sanitized, there was ample room for social distancing. We were able to bring our stroller which was great(it was a little hard to wheel through the fresh gravel though). The sunflowers were beautiful and it was a great place to take pictures of my family. It was nice to do something different outside during the summer.
My family and I had a wonderful time and were pleasantly surprised at how much Howell’s had to offer! Age appropriate activities for everyone - we will definitely be back !
I am Still trying to wrap my head around the you have to pay for popcorn and sit and wait 25-40minutes to get it. I didn't pay to come into the farm to sit at a table... very poorly organized this year and disappointing.
We stopped by to check it out. It was awesome! We want to reserve a fire pit soon and enjoy with friends. The animals were adorable and it was so nice to hear people laughing and enjoying themselves.
Not what it use to be.. but still decent fun for the young kids ! No corn maze.
Always a fantastic time here. Lot of fun activities for the children. Beer garden, food, pumpkins for sale. 10/10
I don't know why so many people are complaining about the price. Of course the admission price is not the same today as it was 10 years ago! Honestly, it's worth every penny. I take my kids every year and it's always lots of fun! And if you get rained out, they provide you with a rain check.
Howells had a beautiful sunflower field! My best friend and i went for a best friends photoshoot day, we got some beautiful pictures, got to pick some even more beautiful sunflowers, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Deffinetly will be back next year!
Nice place; however, hours on their website are wrong. Drove nearly an hour from out of town only to find out they aren’t open til 5, even though their website states that their beer/wine garden is open from 12pm-9pm. Very disappointed as I drove all the way there for nothing. We saw other people picking pumpkins and were told we could not until 5pm even though there were others that were able to.
Amazing farm for kids of a ages and for adults. Wagon rides, playgrounds, hay fun, spooky house, games, pumpkins, sunflowers, goats and other animals, food, fireplace and drinks. Just super fun and nicely decorated.
Little cute farm perfect for familes with small children. Good to experience once
Was super excited initially to be going to Howell’s. My girlfriend and I try to come here every year for Halloween for the corn maze and to pick pumpkins to carve. This trip started rough when trying to park. We had some lady getting stuck in the mud for 20 minutes making us late for our 7PM tickets. After entering we found out the corn maze was closed and weren’t told why. Most of the attractions are in a state of disrepair and don’t reflect the almost 20 dollar ticket price PER PERSON. Despite all this we tried our best to have a good trip with what features of the patch were open. A hayride in the dark later and we decided to get food. BIG MISTAKE!!! We wanted a candy apple and were told they had just sold out but they might have some at the market (luckily they did have a handful left) but when we ordered our food (brownie, regular poutine, and funnel cake) it took ages. It took us over an hour just to place our order because the line was so big and moving so slow. They girl working placed a brownie on our tray and we watched countless order go out before ours. After 20 minutes I asked how much longer and was told “not much longer”… not very specific but okay. Another 20 minutes goes by and I see her throw our receipt out and put the brownie back. I asked a short bit later if we would be getting our food. Pretty much the whole line was gone by this point.. my funnel cake and brownie were handed to me and another ten minutes goes by before they asked if I had a poutine too… YES! So they keep handing out food, poutines included to others while I’m standing there like a fool. The man working went to hand a poutine to someone else and I took it and said no I’ve waited long enough. By this time the patch is closed and from start to finish the food took over 2 hours. My funnel cake was cold by the time the poutine arrived. This place used to be so good a few years ago. I’m not sure what happened. The food workers didn’t even seem the least bit apologetic. Won’t be coming back here unless things change or this is made right.
The tickets were non-refundable despite the rainy , wet day. Not enough parking was available for a big farm, too dangerous to park on the side of the road , with 2 way street that is busy, no sidewalk and with kids walking around. The farm didnt bother to add some rocks on steep, slippery, wet paths, knowing that is a weekend and it was busy. No handle bars to hold on to , despite the muddy walkways. The farm didnt care about safety of the guests at all! Never happy for the experience. The management should have cared for the guests at least.
I always enjoy this pumpkin patch! Always a great outing with the family. However we went for the daytime hours for stroller mosey and it kinda sucks they don't offer food & beverage during this time, I understand it's limited attractions and that's why it's much cheaper to go, but it would nice to have the option ????????♀️ Also the gravel paths are nearly impossible to "stroll" through with a stroller. Overall a nice couple hours spent with the family ????
Beautiful and fun family farm with live animals and several attractions to see and enjoy. It's got a good variety of things to do, so a little something for everyone. I recommend buying the season pass if you plan on going more than once, best bang for your buck . I have the season pass personally and enjoy my visits walking around enjoying the beautiful scenery . If you just want to sit and relax they have lots of tables outside where you can buy food and drinks, fully licensed. Also the fresh squeezed lemonade and homemade hot pumpkin donuts are delicious. Lots of great Halloween pumpkins and decorations everywhere. So many things to describe I could go on for a while, best to check it out for yourself . Nothing is cheap these days, but I believe the prices are listed on their website so no surprises. Helpful tiip is you can get 50% discount on admission with your CAA membership. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you to all the staff and owners.
Great place to take your kids or go on a date! There are a lot of activities and their corn and lemonade is a must have !
We just came back from Howells Farm and our family had a blast. A great place to go to for any age. It was One hour away from us and so worth the drive. This will our family tradition every year. All the staff was so friendly and helpful... keep up the great work.
It was alot of fun. My granddaughter enjoyed the animals and the rides. Food was too expensive, and not very good. Very slow.
Rented the fire pit for my daughter's 21st Birthday and it was worth every penny! What a great night with our family!
Covid out the window there. No one social distancing. Barely anyone wearing masks. Not alot of staff, so line ups were insane, tables were dirty, hard to find one to eat on. $25 PER PERSON for a hat ride
Very nice pumpkin patch. It is a good seasonal place to expend 2 to 4 hoursa with te kids. Our favorite attraction is the corn maze but there are many other activities in the farm. Staff has been always nice there.
A Fun place to go with with friends and family during the fall. The farm has a wide variety of pumpkin type and sizes to choose from if you are pumpkin shopping. But if your visit is just for fun there are several attractions (wagon rides, corn maze, etc) and games (apple cannon, pumpkin Sling Shot) to keep things interesting. The farm also serves food like burgers, fries, pumpkin pie, apple cider, pumpkin pie and doughnuts if you planning to stay a few hours.
Great visit. Kids loved it. Friendly staff. The new queues at the entrance have greatly streamlined the paying process. Keep up the good work
Love it here!! Lots to do, and friendly staff. Especially the man who drives the hayride. Awesome ????
We had so much fun! Our 6 year old daughter thought it was awesome!
Great if you want to spend the whole day in line ups.
Its fun for the kids. Pumpkin donuts, kettle corn and candy apple are all amazing. Stay away from the poutines. Too bad that they open up at 5, I wish that they would open up during the day time.
So nice to be able to enjoy the sunflower fields and the staff were lovely. I would definitely recommend this place for any photo shoots. Just simply beautiful.
No proper signage on where the attractions were upon entry, all you can eat corn was a 30 min wait, other than sheep, slide and a bouncy balloon, not much else to see or do for kids. Charcuterie board was really expensive for the quantity. Not worth the value paid.
Went during the stroller mosey (before all the big attractions start, and before they open their kitchen, you can get popcorn but no food that requires cooking) and it was so worth the entry price for my 19 month old and myself. He was obsessed with the singing animated animals. I had to drag him away to go see more things like my favorite donkeys and sheep that you can feed and pat. Many photos ops for keeping the memories too!
It's on our yearly to do list for the fall. We try to go weekly to get some donuts and fries and just basically enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere. Love it, don't change a thing.
First time visiting this year and we quickly decided it will become a yearly tradition! What a great place for ALL ages!!! 0-100! So much to see and do. Even though Covid is around, they were amazing at keeping things cleaned and sanitized. And rather quickly. Keep up the great work! See you next year!!!
Magical. Great evening spent with friends, sitting around fire, enjoying nice locally grown rosé. Worth drive from Mississauga. Will definitely come back for the Winter firepit experience in December ????❄️
We have been going for many years… an annual tradition and to say the least I was extremely dissatisfied with this year… the place charges good money just to get in and things are neglected… broken… not working… they have less activities to do then previously… etc… they need to start putting money back into things… can’t say we’ll go again until things improve…
Everything you'd expect to find at a pumpkin patch and more! Their pumpkin donuts are to die for! ????
Light displays are nice, food stations were awesome! Mac n cheese was great! Nacho poutine was delicious!! Has debit, but was down so bring cash too!! Fun time was had by all my party!!
We had so much fun. It was my daughter's first trip to the pumpkin patch and she had so much fun. We loved the one goat wandering free! Her first tractor ride was a success. She loved the little puppet shows throughout the farm too! I don't suggest the nachos and cheese.. they are very stingy on the cheese. The apple cotton candy was so yummy and unique. We will be back again next year!
This is my second time attending Howells Farm. Last year we paid $20 entrance fee and I felt it wasn’t worth it as you had to pay additional fees for other activities. Today I decided to go back as it was only $8 for the stroller mosey and nothing was available. It was a complete dead zone. My friends and I were very disappointed. The hay ride wasn’t even open. The pumpkins are also expensive as they priced by weight.
Was an amazing family and festive day outdoors..Had lots of fun and made memories to last a lifetime..We will be back!
This Is a great place to bring your family. Always lots to do and see but I have a couple things that I would like to see change. One is that if you are going to take cash at one booth you should take cach at all booths not some cash and some tokens. It makes it a big pain to be across the place and have to go back for tokens that you dont know u need ahead of time. Also the prices of the food and beverages is astronomical, I paid $8.75 for 3 waters but I can shoot off a whole bucket of apples for $5 bux that makes no Sense to me. Also when we went to do the zombie shoot I bought 20 dollars worth of tokens and the guns barely worked also the pumpkin launchers were mostly broken. All in all it's a great place but I think that things could definitely be replaced with the amount of money they charge for attractions and food.
Had a wonderful time exploring the sunflower fields during “dog days” so many adorable pups out taking photos! It was super hot out and there were lots of water stations for the dogs and a bar with other beverages for the pawrents, if they were so inclined (we were)!
We really used to enjoy Howells unfortunately the prices are just too expensive now. Admission prices have skyrocketed and that’s just to get you into the door. Expect to spend more money to do additional games and attractions. There are better local alternative’s for less than half the price.
We have gone to Howells for years. Typically it is clean and maintained, and all the features are up and running to make it worthwhile. This year so much looks like it was “let go” - the pig race area was just two fat pot bellies sleeping, the facility looked abandoned. -the pumpkin dragon shut down and overgrown -no corn maze -the pumpkin shooter area looked pretty rough -the nature walk is completely abandoned -no big pumpkin or hail bale theming/lighting at the entrance like used to -the front truck feature can barely be seen its so overgrown and busted +having the sheep and donkeys in the little ravine was a nice touch for interaction, but someone should probably be watching over little fingers What happened?
The Christmas at Howells was ok. Fun to walk thru and see some of the animals. The lights were pretty. The food was a letdown. Many items advertised were not available. Charcuterie boxes, onion rings, plain pretzels. Mostly junk to eat. Beer was cold and staff were friendly. We were just happy to support local but not what I thought it would be. They did a good job of implementing safety measures for covid.
Great place to take the kids. We went a bit late this year and there was no corn maze but it's super fun when it's up and running. This past weekend they had the Mom Market Co and that was really lovely for shopping local and handmade.
Decent place, just I feel it is overly expensive for what it is. I get it costs money to maintain what "attractions" they have. Some of the games that require tokens are insanely over priced (paintball 100 shots for 10 dollars). Not worth how long it takes to do everything.
Sunflower field with props - stone bench, variety of tractors, etc - offer lots of options for great pictures. I've also been here during pumpkin season and it's so much fun!
Very disappointed we have paid to come could not get in too many people there must have been at least a hundred people you have to have a better system
Went on a double date with a good friend. We were there for 3 hours and spent all of our time in two line ups.
Ok. Smaller than expected. They have a few goats in a caged area and a cat that wanders around we did not pay 11 each to visit the sunflower field. I did buy two small succulent plants from them. It's nice to support local. A great short getaway. There is also a conservation area down the street so the trip is a nice few hours to spend walking between them both.
Have been going to Howell's for years has always been a great day out with the kids. To our surprise prices have SKYROCKETED. It cost us 26+ tax each person ( 2 kids and 2 adults over $100 ). This is only to gain entrance into the park and enjoy a few attractions. Almost all of the " fun " activities cost extra ( atleast 5-$10 each game ). Lines are all way to long and everything is insanely expensive. Sadly will not be returning again.
It's worth the drive out just for the pumpkin doughnuts! We went on the last cheap night of the season and it was raining but we touched it out since it was our only chance to go. Didn't get to do muchor see- understandably but the staff were fantastic and friendly. Looking forward to checking out the Christmas event next month.
We had a great time here. We bought the crazy farmer deal which is sent through an email and offers great entry prices. The pumpkin eating dinosaur is a fun thing to see. We loved the corn maze which is very difficult to complete. The hayride, pumpkin slingshot and pig raves were a blast. The pumpkin donuts are amazing and there is a great selection of delicious fudge. A great place to spend a few hours in October!
Beautiful venue...great atmosphere! No shuttle as advertised...menu not as advertised. Little things like this make a difference. But had a great time. Lots of lights!
Don't come. Corn maze closed. Nature walk closed. No pig races.
Went for the sunflower experience and it was such an amazing experience. Loved how they had different props throughout the field, got some fantastic photos and then after was able to enjoy some food and drinks before heading out.
Great place but dissapoited that the corn maze was not operational due to mud....seriously mud, it's a corn maze, have it opened for those who still want to go, or lay down some hay...it is a farm with plenty of hay everywhere else there, as well as the pig races not operational. Still charge you full price. Have been coming for years and this was the worst yet, and did I mention the tractor/hay ride which the driver was doing more talking and less of what would have entailed his job...line took forever. Thank you, very memorable, may second guess for next year....not the only pumpkin patch around. Happy Thanksgiving/Halloween.
Really great place for family fun! Everything's reasonably priced, lot's of activities, and a nice place for those fall photos. And also, for a pumpkin patch they really pull through with the vegan options!
Cute farm! We really enjoyed our time there with our toddler.
Ive been going at Howells since 2019. Last year we were here 4-5x and we always have a blast. So much fun things to do every season and such a great way of spending time outdoors with loved ones. I loveee their set up, food and the staff. Very friendly vibe all the time. This place is good for couples, family, kids & dogs too! ???????????? definitely coming back over and over again!
Absolutely amazing experience with family. We sat the beers garden and ordered different meals. Service was outstanding coupled with the atmosphere. Staff are very friendly , patient and very very accommodating. We will definitely be back.
What an amazing evening. It was the only Christmas event we did this year because of Covid. You guys really made it feel like Christmas and allowed us to safely meet with our family. In such a uncertain year you guys have some joy. The fires were amazing! Nicely distanced and definitely not over crowded. Hope you host again next year and continue with the limited people approach. It was nice to enjoy something and not be crammed shoulder to shoulder. Thanks again!
We came for the fire pits and it was such a great time! A tad bit pricey to rent but we got to see some animals around the farm and we enjoyed some drinks by the fire as well. Overall a great night.
It was a nice day at the farm. 3 stars only. Kinda expensive for whats there. Little disappointed. ALERT!!! 40% OR more people NOT wearing mask. Animation were the best part.
I’ve been coming here for years but was very disappointed this time. Paid over $100 to get in to find most of the cute animated displays of singing characters broken which made my kids sad. It was a total, slippery mud pit and I’m pregnant this year so it made it kind of dangerous for me. We ordered about $60 worth of food and were also dissatisfied in that, the poutines were very dry and the burgers were pretty Gross also. If your going to eat here stick to the onion rings and hot dogs which were good!! You would think with the amount of money you get from entrance tickets alone you would maybe fix all of your beautiful displays and add a few new things. This place used to be the best around, now sadly it’s so run down I wouldn’t even think of returning again, super bummed out!!!
The sunflowers are beautiful but its definitely not worth paying 15 dollars a person especially when you just brought a family of 6...theres nothing to do there ...understandable thats its xovid but then the prices should reflect that especially that its quite the drive out there. Very few animals to look at....the bench areas people were getting stung like crazy...i will not be going back....other places have apple picking whi h is at least something to do
Realistically - spending $120 to sit around a small propane flame for 1.5hrs was a bit much, on top of beer being just shy of $10 a can... Dress warm because the fires do NOT keep you warm. Having said that, cool venue, bring people you like and you will have a great time.
great for the family. fair prices too.
The wife and I brought our 5 month old for a little pumpkin adventure. They had a huge selection of pumpkins (all sizes and kinds) and even had some goats and other animals to gaze at. Definitely a fun place for parents to take their kids.
Brought the kid, but seemed like a weird trendy spot to take a girl for a date. Free but charge for attractions and wrist bands. Average experience and there not long
Well maintained beautiful farm ????
As my first time at Howells, I very much enjoyed myself. My kids loved it!! The only part that I was upset about was waiting in line for cotton candy and the candy apples for 45mins to find out that they were not serving any that day, with no sign stating that outside before getting into line, so instead I just wasted 45mins doing nothing when I could've been experiencing more. Other than that, I did have a good time and would love to go again.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! We purchased tics online only to get there and wait another hour in line to get in. The place was absolutely packed with people and we waited forever in line to get into the attractions that were actually opened. corn maze was closed because of mud? like seriously? isn't that what rubber boots are for? Zombie shooting was broken, AGAIN, it was broken last year too. We waited a half an hour to get popcorn because that was broken as well. there was no light in the bathroom, they left flashlights in there for you to use and there was a horrible smell of septic coming from the building. In the haunted house there was also things that were broken that use to be pretty entertaining to see. BOTTOM LINE, this place has really gone down hill for what they charge you to get in, they need to spend some of that money fixing the place up so it is more enjoyable. We will definitely be going somewhere else next year.
Good fun for the family of all ages pumpkin toss haunted house apple smash lots to do
It was really cool!! Next year we will definitely do a fire pit. They were all booked up. We still had an amazing time walking around and grabbing a drink or 2 in the beer garden, food was good too!
We went for the stroller mosey as our children are both under the age of 2. It was good for the price of $8 each for my husband and I. We would love to have experienced all the attractions, but the farm only has that option after 5pm on weekdays which is too late for us with little ones and also quite pricey... I think the stroller mosey is a nice option for families with very young children. It is really an enjoyable morning/afternoon out with little ones. Thanks for a good time! Some suggestions for improvement: - an option for ppl to come earlier on a weekday where u have ur other attractions open (ie the paintball etc) would be awesome - We really liked the giant outdoor connect 4 and the Guess Who pumpkin game! - it would be great for the stroller mosey to make some outdoor sensory boards for the little kids especially since my 20 month old loved pushing the buttons on the animatronic displays
I think it had alot of great pumpkin and Halloween themes! My first time coming here with my family. I loved the many things going on that was offered to people of all ages. Beautiful set and much much fun!! Especially the corn maze!! Keep up the awesome business and fantastic and hard work you do for the community! We do appreciate it all.????❤️????????☺️????????❤️
This guy has absolutely no regard for his neighbors considering he has the roads almost blocked off from overflow because he doesnt have enough parking
Also cute sheep/goats! One was ontop of haystack hahaha!
We visited on Sunday October 10th. It was a great place for kids. Our grandson had a ton of fun. Lines were not bad. Only downside was the food. Everything was ice cold. We ordered 2 orders of poutine. Fries, gravy and cheese curds were cold. Poutine is supposed to be hot and melty. We also ordered chicken fingers and fries as well as other combos that included fries (there were 6 of us). Chicken was nice and hot, again fries were ice cold in every meal. We ate lunch early to avoid the rush. Not sure if those were the fries from the previous day? When you spend $80.00 for lunch it should be at the very least hot. Took quite awhile to receive the food even though it wasn’t busy. We decided it wasn’t worth asking it to be remade or heated up. Aside from the food it was a great place.
We went on cheap Tuesday which isn't that cheap for what you get. We had tickets for 6pm and waited an hour in line to even enter the gate. Line ups were absolutely ridiculous. Our kids only got to do 3 things before 9pm . There needs to be double the staff and popcorn pre made as well as donuts. I waited 20 min in the food line and ended up leaving before we even got to the ordering. I aborted the popcorn line after realizing it took almost 10 min for 1 person to get their popcorn.
Waste of money. Once we finally got in (around 650) we soon realized that everything was atleast an 1hr+ wait. Food line was crazy, no corn maze.
Our favorite place to go! Our kids absolutely love it there and always ask to go back.
