The best park in Welland, huge amount of space with a beautiful rose garden, plenty of shade and places to rest and relax, plus it has a big pond with various water foul and even some turtles! Best part is the pond is unbeatable as an outdoor skating rink throughout the winter!

Gardens and ponds are well taken care of. Lovely to walk through. Very clean and maintained. A bit disappointed at the lack of duck houses and ramps in the pond this year. I come to feed the ducks and ducklings chipped corn and there's no way for them to get out, just the bigger ducks. Seems to have resulted in a severe lack of duckage this year. I miss hand feeding them!

In the pond at Chippewa Park there's a little wooden house...tiny baby ducks live inside!! It was cool watching them come out jump into water then go back into wooden house out of the SUN ⛅. Awesome!! Love it!!

Absolutely gorgeous park, great for families. Lots of sun and shade, picnic tables, splash pad, playground, duck pond and more. The washrooms were open in the Community Centre which is by the duck pond. Washrooms are wheelchair accessible but there is no family/any gender washroom.

Chippawa Park is a wide open and aesthetically pleasing. There is ample room for family picnics or family gatherings as well as adequate and clean facilites. There are several points of interest to be discovered along various gardens and highlights. The large pond is a particular favourite as well as the gold fish pond in the Rose Garden. It's an old and interesting park where time can be well spent.

Chippawa Park is a major place here in Welland. It may no longer have a pool, but there are endless ways to enjoy nature in ALL seasons. Volleyball, picnics, splash pad, fields for playing sports, and play structures for the kids. Winter time fun includes skating on the pond and sledding down the hills. Don't forget to check out the rose garden, and the bronze statue of Mr. Leon (founder of Leon's furniture store).

While the snow is still on the ground, it is a great place for young and old to enjoy the outdoors. And with taking the necessary Covid restrictions, you can really have a peaceful walk or a toboggan ride. Either way it is a nice park to experience.

Nice place. Attended a function there. They need to do something about the noise. We thought about renting it for other functions but it is so much noise from just people talking You cannot hear people sitting across the table from you. Need to do something about the accustics. Thanks to a complaint from a neighboring resident, Chippawa Park is closed. City by-law officer kicked people out of the Park over 1...1 complaint, ruining people's day with their families. Was not a government order. Thanks to who ever complained. Beautiful park still. Best in the city

Great place for toddlers. The toddler playground is safe for all ages, lots of kids around to play with. Close to the slash pad and duck pond so the kids can run back and forth between them (with parents). We spend hours here!
