The car is very close to the Well in the Woods. I think it might have been driven out there, ran out of gas while looking for the Well and then was left to rust away 50 plus years ago.

Well, I think it is a Plymouth, not a Chrysler - but still awesome! A quick search of the model number and a little googling makes us think it is a 1938 Plymouth. Very cool!! There are several side trails in the area, but it is worth finding. Walk a little further, and you can visit The Well in to the Woods, too! Oh the stories these hills could tell!
