We went there two times during our 10 day trip, the park is simply gorgeous. There's plenty of activities nearby, beaches to go swim and a lot of trail and sidewalks to stroll around and enjoy the seaside.
nice park and space shows
Great track for "Dirt Jumpers" @ Daniel Park, next to Burrad Bridge at waterfront.
Super awesome picnic spot with maximum squad of Goslings
Lots of wide open space for kids to run around... as well as waterfront access. Places to visit near by as well as a small parking lot with pay parking.. Worth a trip.
????????????
Huge park with ocean view along the seawall...
Stunning views over the city of vancouver. Love the options within the park including bard on the beach in summer.
Super awesome off leash dog park here. There's an area for her to swim in the ocean too! My dog gives this park two paws up!
Quiet family spot.
A beautiful view of bay and north shore . We were there for a nice Kite Festival in June 11, 2016.
Great view, good sized park with beautiful trees and well controlled wildlife. Bard on the Beach does there shows here.
Good walk with nice views.
Beautiful, peaceful piece of land.
A great centralized park with a beautiful view of the West end
Yeah, good park. Excellent barding at the beach.
Beautiful place to walk or cycle with great views across the waterto the West End. Great for dog owners...the Dog Beach is right there.
Nice place to fly a kite!
Great park good views, I came here with some friends and there was a bunch of goose poop, but it didn’t take away from how nice it was to be there and how blessed I felt to experience this with my friends. It’s not the destination folks it’s the journey, and the journey I had here was absolutely 10/10
Beautiful park and amazing spot for nature lovers and science & history enthusiasts alike
Meadowy spot with great views of the English Bay and lots of grass for frying kites, picnics or sports
This is a great park if you want to see the downtown & Northshore Cityscapes. Many IG Influencers come here for the backdrop. There is a dog beach, beaver pond, bald eagles nests, a BMX dirt park, and you can catch the aquabus too! It's great for families, dates, and BBQs with friends. You can check out the Maritime Museum and Observatory, or stroll over to Kits beach or Cornwall for kitsilano restaurants. All-in-all a great place for a walk around the seawall.
The performance was great and the actress and actors was really good.
Great for a walk and flying kites on windy days
It is one of the most peaceful places to walk around.
It's a park, they do have a theater operating there.
A great venue for Bard on The Beach
Great for a walk or ride during the day or early evening. I go anytime I please, there are no restrictions or closures that I have ever seen. It's safe and on some quiet early mornings when the Bay is still at slack tide, the walk can be very Majestic. Please "Like" to show me I am making a difference. Thx
So pretty, loved the opposite view from English Bay and Sunset Beach:)
A beautiful park on the edge of the water. Usually not crowded
Bard on the beach was fantastic, heartily recommend 'As you like it'
I love to go to The Bard on the beach there nothing like Shakespeare
A very nice walk along the water
Not very busy. A lot to do near by. Perfect picnic spot for a large group!
I love it here! It's a lovely huge park, great for bringing dogs and small children. There's a whole beach dedicated for doggies to play at! The Maritime Museum, The HRR McMillan Space Center, and the MOV all are in this park! It's a must see for all tourists in Vancouver. You can catch a water taxi across to Downtown from Vanier Park. My only complaint is the goose poop, look out for that! Geese love the park just as much as we do, so watch out!
Beautiful place, just beware of duck poop.
Beautiful views of city and mountains, small and usually pretty quiet beach, lots of green space and nearby parking. Location is right near the Maritime Museum, Museum of Vancouver, Space Centre and Vancouver Academy of Music.
One of the great Vancouver parks. Stunning views, good for kite flying, Bard on the Beach, the Planetarium, the Vancouver Museum, and the Maritime Museum. I love it here.
Good park...but tons of goose poop
Saw some Shakespeare here one time, it was a beautiful setting
Pretty but no amenities makes it harder with little kids
Nice place for a walk along the bay.
Very nice place lot's of joggers and bicycles . Also walking ????♀️on the pathway towards kit's beach ⛱very nice as well
Nice park overlooking the shore and walking distance to the HR MacMillan Space Centre, Vancouver Museum (same building) and Maritime Museum!
Great views and birding, occasional eagle nesting site.
Beautiful place that I hadn't had the chance to check out. Now I know I might drop by the park just to chill out from time to time
Great place to walk great trail and views of the water front.
Peace ful place to visit sunset is really beautiful
One of the place where you can observe and enjoy the beautiful city view and awesome sunset
Beach for do sports and meditation
Beautiful sights and incredible dawns!
Vanier is always beautiful, but I attended this date to see a boat down at the Burford Municipal Marina. Seems like a good facility but a little expensive if you can moor just about anywhere else!
Plan before you come here as it's a little tricky to get to. Nice views. Planetarium, Bard on the Beach nearby.
Awesome park with beautiful view of downtown Vancouver
Vanier Park is located close to the Vancouver downtown and features awesome festivals like bard on the beach. This is a must do if you are visiting Vancouver. You can watch a shakespeare play with Vancouver downtown as the background. - A Richard Trus review
Good bike path. There is a ramp to lower and lift your boat onto your car. There are also coast guards so safety is great. Downside is that there are duck poop on the docks.
So beautiful and interesting. Some theories were displayed as fact, quite frustrating.
Nice park in Vancouver. We walked around and explored this whole area.
Lets go for a race in cycle LOL :P
I was fortunate enough to experience the Gathering of Canoes here for Canada Day 150 Plus and I don't think I will ever forget the experience.
Lovely place for walking and having a quiet time with friends or by your self.. Love it!
Beautiful waterfront park. Lovely for a stroll anytime of the day.
Awesome place to spend the day and have a picnic
Vanier Park overlooking English Bay and the north-shore mountains is a nice place to walk by the ocean. The Bard on the Beach festival is held here between 21st June and mid-September.
My beautiful backyard ????
Great place with great views. For chill or sporting it's the best
The Planetarium, Maritime museum, and great views, near False Creek and Kits beach.
Wonderful park, nice views over the burrard bay.
Great place to fly a kite or just take in the view
Fabulous views, lots of open greenspace. Very popular kiting site.
Words can’t describe it’s beauty
Really nice fields. Playground was really nice as well. Kids had a great time.
Nice park. Noting special other than great views
Incredible swimming experience. Views are amazing.
So relaxing. I love sitting a watching the boats cruise by.
Very nice park in the heart of Vancouver
Amazing place and views!
A very good public park.
Really nice and relaxing environment. Would definitely recommend this park.
It's so beautiful especially when you have your own fav. Time.
very Quite and Peaceful place to relax - in summer there is Bard at the Beach someone intereated in live play should check this out
Nice to have open park spaces by the water in the city.
Nice and peaceful place with geese and a nice view.
It's beautiful place to get out the hustle and bustle of the city but you are still close enough to visit downtown Vancouver if you choose to. Also, many neighborhoods have cherry blossom for your view
You think you know how pretty Vancouver is but then you get here and Vancouver slaps you across the head Pretty? Vancouver is gorgeous. We the Beyonce of Canada.
Feed the birds, walk with your dog, go for a run... Take some nice pictures ...loving this walk
Love going to Bard on the Beach every summer.
Nice green space right by the ocean, with great views.
Nice park!
Great place to go for a walk, jog, run etc. The view of the skyline is stunning and the best part is the beach. There's also a museum and sky observatory nearby. One of the best places to hang around near downtown Vancouver.
You can kite your glider here ????
Beautiful view on the mountains and downtown fron this park.
Beautiful Park and area!
Nice park with good views. Excellent for a walk.
Each museum has their own contribution. It will be nice if they can collaborate as whole theme.
Beautiful spot for a picnic and people watching. Bard on the Beach is located there each summer. They put on a great production!
Beautiful location! Grassy area and seawall for walkers and cyclists nearby.
Gorgeous night view...
A nice park to enjoy the warm season.
I love this quiet park so much. It has become my self-isolation workout park. I go there early and it is so peaceful. Located off the Burrard bridge in the Kitsilano area.
I love the park. Great for a run or a walk. Very beautiful.
Lovely walk along the sea wall. Beautiful view of the North Shore mountains.
A great place for a nice walk
Nice park to take a stop at during my walkabout. Quiet and peaceful.
Beautiful park for walk/run! Parking is a bit of an issue but worth of visiting
My husband and I have been going to the estuary behind the planetarium and feeding the ducks/geese for the last year and a half, I was afraid of Canada geese, until last spring when 2 families began to come for food, now I enjoy seeing the babies, whom are not longer babies!! Highly recommend this place in the summer as u might get lucky enough to see the massive beaver. Here are some pics of the geese
Beautifully situated on Kits Point in Vancouver and home to the Bard on the Beach Shakespearian festival in the summers. This park has breathtaking views of Vancouver's North Shore across the waters of the entrance to Vancouver Harbour and Burrard Inlet.
Beautiful open space with dazzling views of the city and English Bay
The MOV is there. Not hard to find. Expect about an hour or two for a visit. It's got a creepy giant metal crab out front... its great. Glad I went, great history is Vancouver.
Anywhere on Vancouver's waterfront deserves 5 stars!
Good place to see the firework
there is street parking there, but it might be pay parking. they got that nasa or space center there and a lot of shows running out of that area, like hamlet and romeo and juliet as well as fire works in the summer. it is called a museum and i saw special buses dropping off exchange students there and food trucks catering there. i took the bus myself, the number 2 mcdonald bus and it went over the burrard street bridge. then i got off at the juliet cafe and walked down that street there until i saw the space center and the castles behind it. there is also cones there. and a nice place to picnic.
Great park! A very nice place to watch the sunset. Now if only we can get the geese to stop popping everywhere
great park. nice and quiet. excellent view of the water and the museum
Attended Bard On The Beach, which takes place in Vanier Park. A beautiful location, close to lots of amenities.
Come in the spring when daisies come out! Lots of museums to visit in the park.
Very nice area. Wasn't busy, gorgeous with sun over water
Great park and thanks for hosting cyclocross races year after year.
I like the benches and gravel trail near the seawall. The lake near the H. R. MacMillan Space Centre is great for observing bird and relaxing
Each September there is a cyclocross race on the foreshore and around the pond. The backdrop of Vancouver and the mountains eases the pain and suffering of the racing.
A nice location to see boats come into Vancouver, food is close by and the beach is perfect on a nice day.
Great open park overlooking the water. Bard on the beach takes over a lot of it in the spring through fall, but that's a great experience as well. Highly recommend
Great walk, wonderful views.
Went to the space museum, nice museum with a lot of interesting facts about the Canadian space program and it's many contributions to the international space station and space travel in general. Nice park, wish we would have had more time to see more of the park overall. Beautiful area with waterfront views.
There is a boat launch dark here where are you can launch your boat into English Bay. What most people don’t know is that you can have a small barbecue on any part of the grass areas While having a great view of the boat passing by
Great views of the Harbor. The running trail becomes sand/gravel which is very easy to run on. Trail through the park has many interesting things to look at in adoption to the boats.
Great place to spend the day or go for a bike ride
Awesome views of the mountains and downtown Vancouver from here. A short walk from Granville Island. Big, open park next to the ocean. Fun to watch people fly their kites here. Watch out for Canada geese droppings when wandering on the grass... At least if you step in it, it doesn't stink!
Bard on the beach, a definite place too see a great play old English style but in a western setting. Wonderful performance by the actors, all in a big tent settings and seating is good. Not the best but good. Go buy some goodies and the food station and enjoy this past week was "Taming of the Shrew" definitely worth the money to enjoy.
Gorgeous view with off leash dog beach
Lovely park with lots of geese
Had a BBQ picnic there in Summer, not crowded, felt we found a nice secret spot.
Best place to watch theater!
I love it... its a quite place.
We went to the H.R.MacMillan Space Center. Seen a 1hr show on space, 'Out There'. in a 360 angle theatre..walked over to the observatory where they have a huge telescope, we seen Jupiter. Checked out 'Wild Things' museum, was sooo awesome.
You get the best of Vancouver beach front.Beauty!
Nice place. Lots of Canadian Geese around though! Lol ????
Home of fireworks and Bard on the Beach, great place to walk and enjoy sea views.
Vanier Park & Hadden Park - Vancouver Vanier Park and Hadden Park are located next to each other at Kits Point in the neighbourhood of Kitsilano in Vancouver. In these parks are located the Museum of Vancouver (MOV), H.R. McMillan Space Centre, the Vancouver Maritime Museum, The City of Vancouver Archives, The Vancouver Academy of Music, a BMX bike park, and a couple of bald eagles (The Kitsilano Eagles) who nest on a tree by the Burrard Civic Marina. Some of the festivals held at this park are Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival and the Vancouver Pink Salmon Festival.
Loved the fireworks ????
As far as did in the park .i have no problem
Great views!!! Can be a tad windy and the path can get crowded. Geese love the grass so watch where you step
Amazing, beautiful, my wife and I visit to see bard on the beach summer highlight!
Incredible view of the sunset!
**This rating is about the public boat launch in the park** The boat launch is really convenient because it can be used regardless of the tides. There are also two mooring docks that make it easier to move boats onto trailers. There is plenty of room to maneuver trailers of all sizes as well as plenty of parking spaces. The only slight annoyance is that one of the ramps is really bumpy so it is not a very smooth ride getting boats in and out of the water.
Beautiful all year round. Juat be wary of the goose poop and soggy ground in the winter/spring.
Beautiful view God bless everybody should check it out.
Nice park and museums to visit.
Nice view
A nice mix of permanent and special exhibits focussed on local history mostly Anglo settler but some indigenous and immigrant. Hosts some good public events and shares facility with a small space museum. Easy access for cyclists and lots of vehicle parking. Transit stops within 1 km.
Lovely view. Great place to fly kites.
A very scenic park with wonderful views of the bay. It has a gravel path for bikes and pedestrians along the water, and even a little beach area near the museum. However, the one downside to this park is it gets overrun by geese that make most of the open grassy areas unusable. A tip: If you are thinking about watching the fireworks from here in the summer, bring a chair and not a blanket!
Good place to relax and have a picnic
Vanier Park is the perfect location for "Bard on the Beach" Attend every summer!
Wonderful park and shows are very en-joyful and great. I had a lots of fun with friends.
Nice waterfront park for jogging, dog walking
We did cannoying and jt was such an awesome place... beautiful park, people were running, cycling, taking long walks on a beautiful sunny day.
There's a boat launch with a low dock for easy water access for paddle sports (kayaks, canoes, paddle boards...). The dock is relatively new. The point in the park is a great place to watch boats coming and going from False Creek. There is some parking but it's paid and well patrolled. You'll find free parking in the neighborhood, kits point, a couple blocks away. At the end of the park is a dog beach where boats often wash up. The dog beach would be great for swimming if it weren't for the dogs. Some people drop anchor with their sailboats out from of the dog beach and small bay and row in. When the odd Western winds pick up they often blow poorly anchored boats onto the beach. The maritime museum is in the park and worth a visit. If it's a rainy day then consider going to the planetarium. There's a bike and running path that passed through the park connecting Kitsilano with the sea wall.
Nice park with open fields
Beautiful setting for fun museums, also an observatory.
Nice place to chill
Great place for a walk anytime of day. Make sure you visit the Maritimr Museum
Large park with sculptures and pond. Can see lots of kite flying in the summer months.
Vanier Park is a pretty non descript park. Nothing too special but great views of the downtown and the water. We had our wedding ceremony here for personal reasons so i am forced to give it 5 stars.
Beautiful park with awesome views of Downtown Vancouver and False Creek. Vancouver Museum and HR MacMillan Space Centre (with a great planetarium) is only two minutes walking. Also the awesome Maritime Museum can be visited while you are there. During summer months you can watch excellent plays at “Bard on the Beach” [ google it! :) ]
Great and lovely views !!!
It's a really open space, great to run or go out with your dog. I was there as a tourist, so I mainly visited the zone museums. The MOV is good, but the space center you can skip.
Vanier Park is located in the area of Kits Point and today we parked in a 2 hour spot on 5th avenue and walked down Cypress St. and then down Chestnut St. Into the Park..there are multiple opportunities to view English Bay from the main path that leads from Vancouver Maritime Museum To Granville Island..there are many benches located along this pathway..the open fields invite a relaxing atmosphere looking toward downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park in the distance..there are kits flown in this park.. one of our favourite things to do is purchasing tickets to Bard On The Beach Performances, unfortunately not this year due to Covid ...
Great natural beauty
Sunsets, Ocean Views, Fresh Air. A beautiful spot in Vancouver, also overlooking the West End and historic Burrard Bridge.
A beautiful setting for an amazing festival, Bard on the Beach. Been going here for a while now and I love where it is situated. So close to the city but just far enough away to be in a quiet section of Vancouver.
Great venue for a wine club party!
Vanier Park located off Cornwall Street, Vancouver BC. One can find the City of Vancouver Archives, the Museum of Vancouver, the Maritime Museum and plenty of walkways along the water. Beautiful vistas await your visit.
Walked around, saw a bunch of quality doggos, nice view of Vancouver, 10/10 will walk again
The most beautiful spot in Vancouver. Feels like it's in Hawaii. Wonderful breeze from the ocean and the most incredible view of Vancouver. If I had to recommend one tourist spot in Vancouver this is it.
Grab a bike and take a ride around.
Love this as the launching spot for paddle boarding and kayaking.
Views are spectacular! Home of Bard on the beach in the summer
Lovely atmosphere but take care of the tickets if you park a car in the area. Greedy EasyPark ????
Beautiful location overall. Made better by local attractions like the space centre and seasonal performances of Bard on the Beach. Otherwise a quiet place for walks, picnics, etc. with amazing views.
Great park with excellent views and lots of parking.
Beautiful place, clean and quiet.
A wonderful and surprisingly overlooked park. Almost always quiet; wonderful place to hang out, socialize, or simply chill with some drinks and fresh blueberries or cherries in hand and watch the sunset. One of those places that reminds one of the simple pleasures in life. Cool views of the mountains and the downtown skyline; dog friendly beach; the area above the escarpment by the Maritime Museum is a favorite spot for viewing fireworks (especially by bicycle, as it's at the foot of the Cypress bike route and less crowded than the beaches below and to the east).
Nice park by the beach with great views of Vancouver downtown. Some modern art and quiet hidden corners available.
Fly a kite. Go for a walk. Enjoy the park. Great view of Vancouver downtown.
Pedestrian and cyclist-friendly trails. View of English Bay. Free street parking with limited weekday hours.
Amazing park with beautiful views, plenty of space and a beach ☺️
Wonderful view of the water and mountains. This is a great place to walk and spend time in the summer.
Great views of the city and sea but paid parking and muddy parts.
Poised at the edge of English Bay, Vanier Park boasts wonderful views of downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. Tranquil ponds, open fields, and a wide pathway complement the outstanding waterfront experience. In addition there is a launching ramp for small craft and a nearby public marina. Civic buildings located on the main park include the Vancouver Museum and Planetarium and the City of Vancouver Archives. A BMX bike park is located just south of Burrard Civic Marina. Vancouver's first bike park was completed in August, 2010 and features dirt ramps, jumps and gaps. Formerly an RCAF depot, this site was turned over to the Park Board by the federal government on October 28, 1966. It is named for the then Governor General of Canada, George Vanier. The park was officially opened May 30, 1967. Lumber baron H.R. MacMillan's $1.5 million donation for a planetarium was the impetus for the museum/planetarium complex which were opened in 1968. Later in 1972, the Vancouver City Archives were opened with the subterranean building carefully located on the site. Deputy Park Board Superintendent William Livingstone, famous for his landscape design for Queen Elizabeth Park and VanDusen Botanical Garden, increased the size of the original park site when he took advantage of tons of free fill which resulted in the excavation for the MacMillan Bloedel building on Georgia Street. The fill was free to the Park Board and added additional acres onto the park which was then beautifully landscaped by Livingstone and his crew.
Awesome park. Relaxing environment.
Some of the best views of English Bay and the West End of Vancouver
Great place to see the fireworks. Lots of green space plus Bard on the beach. A must see for a night of great performances singing dancing comedy acting it has it all with an exceptional cast of characters..
I like the views around the park. Good place and something to recommend.
Nice!
Nice park. Not crowded at all
Sea side walking path with city scapes backdroped by sea and mountains.
Very small park with an spectacular view
Far too many geese, however, a good amount of poles to dance on, and trees to climb on
Beautiful view, quiet, and romantic!
Very peaceful place that's easy to get to and a beautiful view of the city.
Two great museums on site, both worth while checking out
Lovely park along the seawall. On windy days this is a popular location to fly kites. Around the pond is also a nice picnicking spot - be sure to bring a blanket though as it's hard to find a spot without goose poop.
The last couple of days have been very special indeed ! With our recent deep freeze some very industrious people have taken it upon them selves to shovel the snow and crest 7 or 8 mini rinks where they are playing hockey and just skating !
Probably the most beautiful bike in Canada and very accessible to even beginner bikers.
This park is rarely busy and is such a nice oasis with a 180 degree view of the water and the Vancouver skyline. We love to fly kites here on windy days. There is a great dog beach nearby too!
Beautiful city views!
This is such a great Park. This park got such and amazing view. This is great for kids, family and friends. I will recommend everyone to must visit this place. Thanks
Awesome bards at tje beach... Macbeth
Beautiful place and amazing view of English Bay!
Very nice waterfront park with a view of downtown Vancouver.
A very quiet park with water and jungle gym for kids
We went to the Maritime Museum, always fantastic in its own right, but we are on a special field trip to see the canoes in their collection - some in storage!
Outstanding park. Great walking, outstanding views and public art.
Great place to walk. The parking didn't take my credit card so had to leave it and hope to not get a ticket.
A serene place, where you can see remnants of an old submarine and the beauty that is the Vancouver city skyline. Go during sunset, it's an experience like no other.
Nice park, great views, good area
Nice area sit around and appreciate the beauty of false creek
Great place for walking, jogging, or bicycling
Beautiful place to go for a run or a walk.
Beautiful city views during day and night.
Great location to just chill and enjoy the view.
Legitimately my favourite place in all of Vancouver
Fantastic view.Lovely nature and a place to spend time with loved ones.
Close to Granville Island. Great area to walk and enjoy the outdoors .
All you can eat , yummy and less stressful to order what I want. However, certain sauce like Sesame Sauce need surcharge, soup base is not cheap too.
From Bard on the Beach to the Planetarium. Vanier park is just an all around fun place to hang around.
Beautiful walk. Great spot for views to downtown Vancouver
Great place to bring family...
Great location for watching fireworks during the summer. There's a gravel path around the coast line that's good for running, or as the longer scenic route if you're cycling around False Creek.
I wish there was a place to buy ice cream or beer in the park to watch the sunset. Other than that a perfect Vancouver spot
Loved Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival!
Love Vanier Park ever since I was a kid —- lyses field trips to getting away or special occasions like the Shakespeare Festival Bart at the beach or going to the museums or people visiting from out of town so you take them there or just a place to run around fly kite, jog, walk the dog briskly & get a nice exposed point — so I love going there all the different times a year from spring summer winter & fall! True Vancouverites do NOT get cabin fever - the dedicated Westcoast Canadian are always out in fitness dedication & routine no matter if the weather seems “off” by the transplanted “sugar-cube” types. variables range from the subjective POV of delicates, anywhere from “too slurpy-sludgy (snow), too rainy/wet, too “blah”/cloudy, too smokey (forest-fire dry), or too wild’n windy on brisk ... Canada’s most temperate Pacific City is the country’s mildest yet clearly “too harsh” for those who (don’t care where from) obviously divorced from nature & spend too much time inside. One of the most popular post-lockdown walks is the seawall from Kits Pool to the Planetarium. A key marker along this gorgeous stroll is GATE TO THE NORTHWEST PASSAGE , another sculpture by Alan Chung Hung, Also Downtown Vancouver 2 works: * “Red Spring” (Robson Square); * “Clouds” atop Chung Hung’s Gate, installed in 1980, is comprised of a fifteen inch square of corten steel, set on a bed of paving stones. The artist won a juried competition put on by Parks Canada. Applicants were to build a monument in Vanier Park to commemorate Captain George Vancouver. GATE TO THE NORTHWEST PASSAGE, was initially controversial; some compared it to a monster paperclip. It was actually designed with two of Captain Vancouver’s navigational tools in mind: a Davis quadrant and a plane table. ‘The objective of the sculpture,’ Chung Hung said, ‘is to create a symbolic image with definite visual expression, awakening an awareness in Captain George Vancouver’s contribution to the world, his remarkable and meticulous surveys which included the north Pacific coast.’ If you got visitors it’s definitely the must do selfie’s/family portrait place it’s got a frame is a great view of the city and mountains and beyond any weather. I include interior photos of Vancouver Maritime museum at far west extremity of Vanier Park
Good place to relax, boat or watch a Bard on the Beach show
Great views, good museums, well maintained, lots of paths and walkways, plenty of parking, lots of entertainment, great place to bring a date. A must visit if traveling to Vancouver for an extended stay. Try leaving it to the last day, it is a great place to say goodbye to the city, and see the sunset at the same time.
Nice place to go for a run or relax.
Great venue for Bard on the Beach. Ocean front, great view of the sunset and home to the planetarium.
Great stroll...quiet...crows sitting in the trees...eagles contemplating the horizon...people joining in...all very very beautiful...
Nice park close by the waters. Good place for a stroll or bike through. Well kept and clean.
Great place for running, dogs and just casual weekend outing.
Love this park! Awesome waterfront path that connects to all the best sites in van. Not the easiest to get to via transit.
This is another beautiful Vancouver Park, this one located right on the shore connecting Kitsilano Beach and English Bay Beach. It's great for a walk or a jog for just "being".
Great venue for a Cyclocross race.
Great place for views of the surrounding mountains & city scapes. Lot of walking paths leading to the museums( we didn’t go into either one of them). Great place for kids & families to have a great time!
Decent green space at the mouth of False Creek with a surprisingly technical dirt jump bike park tucked into the eastern corner. Also the site of 3 museums that may one day reopen.
Came here in July and it was a nice place with sculptures with jogging trails. But then again, that's all there is. For being on a road trip, you try to come to the best kind of places since you are short on time. Besides the cool square frame looking sculpture. there are nothing really that is super amazing. By the way there is barely any shade on the walkway around the park so keep in mind that you will have to deal with the glaring sun. If you live here, I can see the appeal but if you are here for visiting, better to go elsewhere.
Nice walk around the water but grass areas are covered in Goose poo.
Very beautiful and nice park with an unusual mosque in the middle
Great venue for an outdoor concert.
Nice walk from Granville Island 3K round trip. Medium pace 15 mins. each way. Great museum!
Brilliant views but this day overrun with geese poo and no washrooms working
Lovely sunset view over the water, good grassy areas for picnics, nice sculpture for kids to climb, trees for shade, gravel path for wheeled vehicles, some parking available nearby at Maritime Museum or Museum of Vancouver.
It's was very spacious and not crowded and weather was nice, a little colder because of the ocean breeze compared to downtown core.
Great views, not as crowded as the beaches.
Really beautiful place with awesome views..
Beautiful park, close to the museum of Vancouver, has a nice view and flowers.
Vary scenic great place for an outing with family or friend pet friendly
Great place with one of the rare museums of Vancouver.
Right next to the museum and a nice medium length walk across the bridge to the city.
Very nice and relaxing park by the sea. By this park where the water way entrance and exit for Telus science world, Granville Island, Cooper, Hinge, Creekside, Charleston, David False Creek, George Winborn and Ron Bradford parks through False Creek back inlet/backwater. Nice wind attracts many para gliders to practice their skills here. Vancouver Marine Museum is located here. Multiple boat launch ramps and marina exists. Relaxing benches installed all over by the water line. There is a small fresh water pond attracting birds of all all sorts. Worth visit if you are in Vancouver. Parking is available at lot and multiple places by the street. May have to pay.
Great park for watching kite flying or to do some yourself!
Its always nice here. Even on cloudy days
Another one of Vancouver's many gems. Love strolling around the point to Kits beach and taking in the stunning Vancouver skyline with the mountains as a backdrop.
Fun place to walk when going to museums!
Great place to watch the English Bay fireworks
A park with some amazing views. It feels very relaxing over there. Overall a must visit in Vancouver.
Beautiful spot. Go for the Shakespeare, stay for the picnic.
Great area to rest and relax. Beautiful area
Great community feel
It was a quick passing by in this park, but I really enjoyed it.
Had a wedding there and was good, easy access and lots of places we can set up and do ceremony with amazing view, the weather was on our favour. Parking is somehow limited some 2hr free or paid, give yourself time to find a good spot for you. Is very relaxing hang out here and great for picnic.
Lovely place for a walk.
Vanier park has lots to offer. Great views of English Bay, museums, and the Vancouver Academy of Music to name a few.
Nice park with a great view of the sea.
Nice little beach for water activities with grass fields and ponds and its next to the museums and between granville island and kitsalano beach and vanier park also has a dog beach area , and the falsecreek ferry ⛴ stops here too
This is a very special place. The sights, sounds and scenes are absolutely beautiful. From the Eagles nest above to the duck ponds and everything in-between, this spot is an absolute treasure.
Nice view and relaxing area p
Nice walk along the water, good view of the city skyline. Nothing too interesting to see. A good addition to the other attractions in the area
Very nice and clean and tidy and clean beautiful.
It's hard to review a park, I suppose it's really nice? It's close to a nice little cove, and features very nice public are that's updated periodically. I come here at least a few times a year, one of my friends loves watching the fireworks from here in the summer, and it's a pretty decent spot that isn't as crowded as English Bay. Bard on the Beach also sets up here, and it's an incredible delight!
Scenic beautiful views of the city and ocean
Great place to visit, especially if you are visiting the Museum Of Vancouver or the HR Macmillan Space Center. If you are a babysitter who is taking care of 5-8 year olds, it is the perfect double-feature.
Great place for sunshine, friendly atmosphere and dogs. Love the beach.
Beautiful view of the ocean and downtown Vancouver. Not many clean places to sit.
Visit the Vancouver Museum and permanent neon exhibit. You so won't be disappointed!
Great bay view with very relaxing atmosphere. Spent an easy afternoon there and enjoyed nice sunshine.
This is a nice area for a picnic. Lots of lawn space by the planetarium and museum of Vancouver.
Quieter park in Vancouver seemingly because there is little accessibility via public transit and often skipped over for nearby kits beach. Walk or bike here via the seawall.
Small exhibition
Beautiful. There's an eagle nest near the boat launch and the walkway under burrard bridge. Lots of grassy space and birds, ponds are lovely, great place to walk or go on a run. The view of downtown, mountains and the ocean is fantastic. Great place to watch the fireworks in the summer!
If you like kite flying and walking the dog after visiting the planetarium and the museum this is a great place
Excellent place for a still on a sunny day
Birds, open space in Vancouver! Close to the water yet still in the city. View of busy Downtown, yet a lot of space buffered by a False Creek. Mountains on a background. Paradise.
Great on a sunny day for a walk, read a book, look around...
A lovely park, beautiful views and great kiting
A beautiful place for a quite evening stroll
Beautiful scenery, perfect day to attend outside church service at the park???? And walk around
The Maritime museum great place for a pirate themed birthday party. Or summertime at the kids festival . Now my daughter takes me there for Bard on the beach. We saw Coriolanus. Wow wow wow!! The fight scene, Shakespeare with a modern twist. Next year I'm buying a sessions pass me and my daughter can see all the shows
Best picnic place with water views! Great place to walk and bike as well.
Nice parkt to relax and calm down
Went here with my girlfriend to learn about astronomy and space exploration.
My cat loves this park. There's a small beach. I found some oysters there, logs to sit on and big rocks for my cat to explore. There's also a walking path and trees by a small wooden bridge. If you poke around, you'll find a pond. The pond is yucky, too much geese poop. Parking is available for pay, but you can park in the residential area and walk in. There's a nearby off leash dog park so watch for dogs on the loose.
Easy to launch water toys. Lots of parking.
Nice park by the water. There are a few tourist attractions nearby like the space and maritime museum. Good views of downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park.
A great park to stroll around on the weekend with the family. Look at the ocean and see all the paddle boarders and boats come and go.
Beautiful park that hosts Bard on the Beach each summer. Walking distance to Kits and Granville Island
A nice walk along the water.
Stunningly set at English Bay, worth making a special trip
Very nice Ocean views , but the path next to the water is too dusty.
The best place in Vancouver for good consistent winds for kite flying.
Enjoyed Bard On The Beach here.... Both plays! The part open theater concept for Taming the Shrew was just awesome! Loved it!
A wonder place to see fireworks. A nice place to have a picnic with family and friends.
Beautiful area with the Maritime Museum, HR Macmillan space centre, and the Museum.
The museum's and parks are stunning
Very nice for long walks on a hot summer night. But do bring a few layers under that jacket if you try it in winter. Ohhh boy, does the cold feel colder here. Very nice place to snap some awesome photos of Downtown Vancouver from the south.
Great views and lots of ducks on the lake. Visit the Museum!
It's a park... No bathrooms, some cool statues and running paths. Go visit the Maritime Museum (yeah, that's what that building by the parking lot is) while you are here.
I don’t have a dog, but I love watching them running and playing around. Very good place to have a sit and enjoy the view or maybe some tanning on Summer time.
Museum of Vancouver and the Planetarium. Each has it's own admission price
One of my favorite places in Kitsilano. Park and beach front, what else can you ask for. I like to sit on the benches by the Maritime museum and watch the small ferry boats come in and drop people off. You can see Vancouver's beach on the east end . Very relaxing! People watch while sitting as they walk, jog, ride a bike, fly kites, and see the people with the para-sails try to take lift. The para-sails only go a few feet of the ground but they are fun to watch. Amazing area!
A great place to watch the sunset...and dogs running on the beach :)
Nice park
Went to Bard on the Beach, lovely setting on the water.
So much to do here 3 museums and best to get the Vanier park pass covers all 3 & they don't have to be done in the same day
Vanier park has great views of the mountains and ocean
Thank you city of Vancouver for letting cyclocross be in this park. The organizers in conjunction with the city have made an awesome event here. Combine that with the rowing club, bard on the beach and the planetarium there is always something to do here.
so good except pollen.
Please expect spend at least one or two hours in the park. What a view of north shore mountain, downtown Vancouver and the ocean. If you have time you can take the ferry travel the area of Granville Island,False Creek and English Bay, it will takes hours more.
Nice place for pets but NO washroom near the area.
Nice place to enjoy you free time and relax. Full of tourists but yes as always.
Summer home to Vancouver's amazing Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Theatre.
Worst low tide launch in the lower mainland. Also 19 bucks a day to park with trailer.
Great place in summer or year round for a walk.
Close to Kitsilano, shares the best view to Stanley Park, English Bay, and the entrance to Granville Island area. It hosts the Space Museum, The Observatory, Aquatic rides rentals, and good trails for running or walking. I really enjoy the fresh air coming from the sea, lots of paid parking, patrolled by Genesis. It has a launch ramp area for boats as well.
A quiet place by English Bay to sit n watch the ships, visit the Space Museum, or just people watch.
Nice place
Lovely ocean view by beach
One of the best boat launches around. Very clean park and bathrooms.
Two great boat launch ramps here
Great place to be an eagle ???? or an eaglet. Nesting area for eagles and herons. Awesome for watching Harbour boat ????♂️ and ???? ???? ship traffic. There is a great boat launch and nearby so many amenities. Family friendly!
Great place to walk around and is dog friendly.
Cosy, chill, a great spot to watch the sunset and fireworks in summer!
First time I visited the museum. I have it provides an excellent insight to the growth of Vancouver.
Nice park near the Maritime Museum and HR MacMillan Space Centre. Some nice gusts of wind at times makes it a great place for kite flying.
Was here for Bard On the Beach and Fireworks. A great spot to see the fireworks and a nice park.
Lovely winter walk
Great park. Glad they use it for events. Nice walks great views. Lots of parking.
I love the fresh air and atmosphere. Simply beautiful landscaping and incredible history. I appreciate great minds and great minds definatly created a true masterpiece. I plan to return regularly to this magical place. Thank you and well done. Awe inspiring for sure. I feel at peace visiting this place and I hope you all will as well for many years. It feels like home.
This park is a very peaceful place with fantastic views. It is also home to the Vancouver Maritime Museum and the Museum of Vancouver. There are several historic vessels moored here including RCMP Patrol Vessel NADON/ST. ROCH II.
Went to hr McMillan space centre. Not enough displays. Was expecting way more for the cost of admission.
What a great walk and fantastic views
Beautiful place to go for a walk ,picnic ,bike ride or to site see ????
Great place to walk, jog or relax.
you got to get a picture taken in front of the giant crab
My new favorite place. I love it.
The view is nice, the amenities are functional, but the green space is marshy and controlled by geese. Stick to the paths and enjoy the walks.
Great park with some secluded spots.
So many places for visit like Vancouver museums, school of music, Maritimes museums and bard on the beach festival around there. Lots of parking lot available there but usually paid parking. Good to bring kids with family. Best place for bring family members and friends.
Always enjoy our outdoor spaces and the beauty of our shores.
View was Amazing. Worth the VISIT
Awesome park good views of the ocean and city
Lovely beach... Relaxing and unwinding place.. Far from maddening crowd
Beautiful and serene place to be with friends family or be by yourself. Fly a kite, have a picnic, walk your dog, read a book, watch a play, visit the maritime museum, play ball, stargaze...so many options!
A great spot where to relax. The park hosts the maritime museum and the museum of Vancouver and offers great views of downtown Vancouver. For a complete experience bike to the park and around!
Nice park, beautiful seaside walk towards Granville island
Very nice park, a lot of geese and lot a geese poo. Walk on the trail, not recommended to walk on the grass. Great view. There is a very cool monument in honor to George Vancouver. Plenty of space for running, cycling and walking. Parking around the area is really cheap.
Very pretty spot. You can see parts of Kitsilano, Stanley park, downtown, and more. Dog friendly, paid parking. Clean and quiet.
Good walking path from the Planetarium to Granville Island. And you can also take a water taxi.
Their is an Eagle's nest in the tree and it's so easy to see the parents sitting in the tree. Plus the nest is so huge
