the parts that are completed are great. there is so much more potential here..but the lack of footbridges, flooded pathways... just needs more work.. but...of all the large scale works that went thru here...its great...it'll be a gem when completed

Wonderful trails for biking and walking on. It stinks at night and there's no lights, but it's a park in a swamp so that makes sense. Some parts of the trail are washed out though. Had a wonderful view at one point.

This is the true northern experience: being able to drive fifteen minutes to a place without parking issues and walk into a forest to revel in the wonders of nature. It's not for everyone (exercise and insects) but a good set of hiking shoes, a bottle of fresh water, a bag of Cornuts, and a companion (a good cousin, perhaps) certainly makes this a relaxing and sacred experience. The thing with the Laurentian Conservation is that its network of trails is great for beginners and advanced hikers alike. I'm a fumbling hiker, but I enjoyed myself immensely, even after dousing myself in insect repellent. Some paths lead you to higher points with great vistas; the wind is soothing, and alleviates the insects. For brief moments, you can meditate on the beauty of things, sequestered away from the hustle and bustle of city things. This great expanse is right in your backyard, Sudburians. You'd be remiss not to take advantage of it.

Such a beautiful place to walk. Lots of parking at the Adanac ski hill parking lot. The parking lot is open all day and the sign says the parking lot closes at 10pm. The trails are pretty and peaceful. There was no one playing soccer in the fields which was nice, because when there are alot of people there playing soccer its hard to find a spot to park and it's not as much of a peaceful walk in nature. I've never seen a bear on the trail, but I am still fearful of running into one. I used to live in the neighborhood right infront of the trail and we would have bears frequently in our yard, mainly at night though.

The main feature of this area is the Rotary Park - featuring walking trails, mountain biking trails, mini soccer pitches. In September, the Rotary Club of Sudbury hosts a 9 km run in the park. In the winter, this is the site of Adanac Ski Hill.
