Been a visitor of this spiritual place since before the imported fountain and gate was installed, used to be able to drive right to the top and have the best view of the Canada Day fireworks at Science North. Still has the best views of Ramsey lake and Laurentian but need to use the newly expanded and paved parking lot and walk through the park. The gardens are amazing, there used to be an older volunteer who tended to them even being mostly blind herself. The statues cover several religions and faiths, it is not solely a Catholic place due to the large glowing cross seen from afar and the original grotto shrine of Mary that was the park's starting point. Highly recommend everyone in Sudbury goes to this place once to be reconnected to their spirituality, even if their faith is rooted in mother nature ????

I will always love this place. I have so many great memories here. The area is always well kept. Surprisingly, there is never any paraphernalia laying around the grounds and it's a beautiful place just to sit, take in some good oxygen and relax... ????????????

(Translated) Super nice place with a lot of potential. Really interesting to visit and a very relaxing and peaceful place. However, this place would need more maintenance and surveillance. There was a lot of garbage all over the place and even drug consumption equipment (needles and syringes) lying around near the fountain. It seems to be a place where homeless people set up camp (1 person present when we visited). Also, it would be nice to have more identification of the location (parking sign). Unfortunately, several statues have been vandalized (limbs severed and people removed). (Original) Super bel endroit avec beaucoup de potentiel. Vraiment intéressant à visiter et un endroit très relaxant et paisible. Toutefois, cet endroit aurait besoin de plus d’entretien et de surveillance. Il y avait beaucoup de déchets un peu partout et même du matériel de consommation de drogues (aiguilles et seringues) qui traînait tout près de la fontaine. Ça semble être un endroit où les personnes sans abris établissent leur campement (1 personne présente lorsque nous avons fait la visite). De plus, il serait bien d’avoir davantage d’identification de l’emplacement (affiche pour le stationnement). Malheureusement, plusieurs statues ont été vandalisées (membres coupés et personnes enlevés).

Would not recommend. Scenic view but the statues has been vandalized. Be careful! I almost got jumped by 6 people. I fractured my ankle while jumping a fence in order to escape.

Nestled on top of a hill is the Grotto of our Lady....Beautiful.bronze statues displaying the Stations of the Cross....You can actually have a wonderful family picnic....at one of the picnic tables....Once there you can enjoy the view of Sudbury downtown.....Lake Ramsey and more....All together it only takes half an hour....to visit... Enjoy the view the breeze and the Grotto.....Cheers.

I really enjoy taking short walks here. The architecture and statues are beautiful. Really great views of the city as well and I always enjoy walking the labyrinth. It's too bad that some of the statues have been destroyed by people who don't care. Still a wonderful and interesting place to spend some time.

Fabulous Place. steeped in peace, history, beauty. I would love to have the money and time to help out...however...they do such a good job! lost a star cause of the ugly overly huge parking ocean. The lakeside trees need to be kept trimmed so as to allow full view, for fireworks..ar Science North. The outhouse is handy, although it is misplaced. Should he away from the lakeside lookout platforms.

Overall the grotto is a very nice place to go for a Walk if you could actually find anything I went at around 8 PM when it was dark and there were no signs to direct me to any of the nice scenery shown in the pictures online another grape that I have with this grotto is the amount of very sketchy people lurking around in the bushes and forestry at night blasting their obnoxious music aside from public interference this is a nice place during the day

Pay attention to your GPS, very easy to overshoot the entrance. Beautiful peaceful place to relax, reflect and enjoy the view of the city. Amazing craftmanship of all the statues and structures. Little take one leave one library box if you want to stay for a bit. The fountain was turned off during my visit in October, 2020. Did not have the chance to explore the trail but seems fairly easy and decently maintained. Fairly big parking lot. Too bad the garbage cans can't walk, it would be a lot cleaner -.-

Extremely interesting. Loved the labyrinth and the huge ornate water fountain. Seems to be a great place for wedding pictures as there five different weddings being photographed while we were there. Over all a really nice experience. It is nice even if you are not religious as well as it welcomes all faiths.

Pretty much a monument park in the middle of town. Some picnic tables, and an "unmaintained" port-a-pod. A small area for a walk, walk the dog, etc. Besides the centre monument, you do get a decent elevated view of some parts of the city. NOT a good pit stop for a washroom break. Entrance to parking is discrete and missed easily.

Very nice and popular place to take pictures in Sudbury. The view overlooks the downtown area, giving clear view to the smoke stack. The fountain runs in the summer time and the gardens are nice to see. Beware of homeless/bums.. they are known to drink and do drugs here however the cops have been doing a good job at arresting those who partake in illegal activities there. It's very God oriented at this location however so its not for those who dislike religion. But overall it's a beautiful place to go and there's plenty of free parking
