Nice local museum

I had an awesome experience here. It is a small museum but rich in history. Price is donation only. Make sure to checkout the tobacco barn. I didn't know anything about the tobacco plant other than all the demonizing I had in school about smoking. I am really glad to have gone there. There is a small area of books and knickknacks for sale. I could definitely see room for improvement with the gift shop.

Go and learn about the local tobacco industry and the history of the industry in the local area. People are kind and helpful. The have a vast knowledge and are eager to share. Parking is free and there is a nice picnic or hiking trail along the river. Fishing is allowed during seasonal times. Please be aware of the no fishing areas. There is lots to do and learn. Good for all ages.
