I’ve been going to the Burning Kiln since it opened. It is well worth the beautiful drive as the atmosphere is wonderful with trails, great food and my two favourite wines. The concerts and events in the vineyard are also always very well prepared and a great time.

So satisfied that we came here two nights in a row!

Unfortunately we did not get to experience much of this winery. The grounds look lovely but we did not go into the tasting room because the experience with the hostess/supervisor on the patio really turned us off. From reading the other reviews now, I see the restaurant is independent of the winery and many others had the same problem we did. The winery might want to find themselves a new restaurant provider. When we arrived, I went to the patio to ask for a table for 4. The day before I had checked their website and it says they do not take reservations for parties of fewer than 6. The hostess said they did not have any tables available for the entire night (it was 4:30). There was no offer made to be put on a wait list. I followed up politely, “Your website says reservations are not accepted and seating is first come first served, so can we wait for a table?” There were several smaller tables that looked like they just needed to be cleaned and perhaps people were waiting on the grounds to be seated? She was SO RUDE! She began her reply with “not that I have to explain myself to you, but….” all of our tables are RESERVED! I was embarrassed to have been spoken to like this in front of so many others, especially since I had simply asked a question politely. I was quite taken aback by her response, consequently, we left without exploring any of the winery and I doubt we will be back. Maybe she was having a bad day, but not the best way to handle guests, and a poor explanation of why we couldn’t wait for a table. We were more than willing to spend money in the tasting room while waiting. At the very least, the website needs to be changed— either you take reservations or you don’t!

I Emailed them several times with no response, the Cork was rotten and broke apart in a hundred pieces then fell into the wine. I have photos of it all, it fell into the wine my Grandma brought back on her trip there, her 3rd trip there. Our Family enjoyed the wine until it we had to strain it through a coffee filter (Fun). We will no longer support such ignored. Our whole family is very much into wine and no problems with this place until now. Shame to make a 86 yr old carry a couple of bottles back with her on the bus. We told her not to because it would be too heavy for her condition, but she did anyways because she's a kind person....till you make her mad. Poor service and lack of any communication with the buyer.

Laura Dufour

It's been a few years but we are going back this summer! Can't wait!

Good service, very clean establishment.Nicely designed tasting room with a view of the winery workings. Love the wine names that reflect the tobacco heritage of this area. Good selection, something for every palate.

Visited Burning Kiln Winery the first time as it was one of our stops on our tour with Ride the Bine. Loved learning about the history of the winery as well as sampling some delicious wine! I've also been fortunate enough to have been able to enjoy a few concerts as well (Stars of Nashville and Chantal Kreviazuk, for example). They were always well organized events, especially during a pandemic. The backdrop of the vineyard is a spectacular sight ????. Highly recommend that you add Burning Kiln on your list of places to visit.

Great wine, food and ambient. Must visit place.

DON’T do business with them, waste your time and hard earned money. They will “forget” many things such as your deposit receipt when you book the venue. I had to email and ask for it and it took them over 5 business days to respond. We also had to ask them to include everything in the invoice with tax included. On top of that they forgot to add the deposit as part of that total. Ashley (the event manager ) conveniently all forgot this as well as sending the contract, forgot to include half the things in the contract we discussed , forgot to mention the deposit total and if it was non-refundable. They will forget many to tell you about some hidden fees. You have to remind them on about your getting contract with in a reasonable time. If you dare ask them to follow up with them you with 5 business days and every two leading up the month of event, then they will blame their that they short staff and tell you they won’t have time for you answer your emails. They also said that my standards where to high. When you work in events, things ALWAYS come up last minute so it's not unreasonable at all to expect someone to be answering your questions and managing the event. It’s not like my fiancé and I were down right mean. We said "We ask that going forward since we booked with you, we want to hear from you a with in 5 business days and every two days in the last month of the event." When you book a venue you want them to work with you. Yes my event wasn’t going to be until August 2020 but when you take on a client you NEED to let them know what the contract is, what’s refundable and answer their questions and work with them to plan our your services as promised. My "standards" are industry standards.I never signed the contract agreeing to a non refundable deposit so I asked for it back. Go it back. I would never normally send money to someone with out a contract. Originally thought they sent one. When I double checked we had a contract from all their competitors and partners we spoke with, but not them. Otherwise, I would have never sent over the money. Even though I missed this one thing, they should have been on it and not have taken the money. They can’t meet the standard business and legal standards. So save your time and book elsewhere. We told them we are moving on to another venue and since the never mentioned the deposit wasn’t refundable and didn’t sign a contract it means they have to automatically give it back to us. They were not happy. I get it you’re loosing business but they weren’t working with us and the were being extremely unprofessional. I would never do this to a client of mine. Anyways, they didn’t want to refund my money the way I paid (which they legally have to). They then wanted my credit card for the refund and I refused because I paid via e-transfer. I also didn’t want a charge to magically appear after we fired them. Then when they finally decided to send my money back the way I paid, they gave me the wrong password. I had to get them to send me another e-transfer with a new password. They treated me like I was an inconveniencing them. Then they finally had the the right password and after a lot of unprofessionalism from JoAnn (book keeper) and Ashley, my fiancé and I were so happy we weren’t spending our money there. We were very shocked the venue turned out to be this bad especially, when all their partners including the owner’ cousin that owns the Blue Elephant restaurant near by, where all professional, quick to respond and wished us nothing but the best. And they also all sent us their fees, and requirements for booking a venue ahead of time or had it on their website. So of course we are going to recommend all of them. As I said before, save your money and book elsewhere. It appears this isn't the only problem that they have at this venue, since I have found other bad reviews, but it's a very costly one if you pay the full amount of money. Thank god I only put down a deposit and got it back.

Beautiful winery and friendly staff. Excellent patio. Tasty food. Fantastic wines. My personal favourite was the buzz mead. Highly recommend and will return. We grabbed lunch after a zip line tour at the biosphere across the street.

Kathie Tuhkanen

Very enjoyable, felt safe with their covid procedures, broad variety of wines for tastings

Natalie E

What a stunning winery, the grounds are beautiful and so relaxing. Enjoyed a glass of wine while we waited for our table to be ready. Enjoyed sitting in the chairs by the pond and watching nature. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food at their restaurant was delicious, would love to go back in the evening with the outdoor lights on.

Whenever we are in the Turkey Point area we always make a special trip to Burning Kiln. We really enjoy their wine especially the Rieslings. They have added some more varieties that we picked up this time around that weren't offered before. We've done the tour before and it was interesting if you are in for that.

Gerald Mantha

Beautiful venue, albeit in the dark. Saw Jann Arden there. Simply amazing.

Dominic Stewart

Some of the best Ontario VQA wines I’ve ever had! John and his wife were so friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed some tastings and left with half a dozen bottles. We will certainly be back.

My boyfriend and I were excited to try David’s Restaurant at the Burning Kiln after a day at Long Point Provincial Park. The “restaurant” is a food truck parked at the end of the winery patio, the area itself is nice and there were a decent amount of people sitting outside but it definitely was not packed. We ordered the perch and vegetarian tacos, fried veggie platter and a classic poutine. The food took a while to come out and was cold and tasted like cardboard. The tacos were depressing -no spice or flavour at all and tiny for being $4 each. None of the food was good or tasted fresh and the bill was what we normally pay at a fancy restaurant. The servers were pleasant and so was the staff inside winery itself, however the food completely tainted our experience and left a bad taste in our mouths. The other tables around us were also complaining about the length of time it took for the food to come out and the sad tacos. I do not want to underestimate the challenges of running a food truck business but I think taking some pride in the food you’re serving people will go a long way.

We love it here! The food, the atmosphere and the amazing staff made our day. If we can’t get away for our wedding this is my top venue pick!

Jordan Gawley

Every time we visit the winery we have an amazing time. Great staff. Amazing wine. Always an experience.

David DelCiancio

A little out of the way, but well worth the drive. Great wines with a nice vibe.

Franklin Madison

The biggest name in the region (and the most expensive in my opinion) but well worth the cost. A great series of wines, a knowledgeable staff and an ever present food truck in the warmer weather. the bubbly is expensive, but well worth the treat, the grounds are well manicured and picturesque. Small tasting area, but great, great wine (Love the riesling)

We stopped in for a tasting. Did not expect too much as this is not really a wine region. We were very surprised and impressed. The servers were incredibly knowledgeable and the wines were great. We will certainly be going back! Several appassimento style reds, I could not believe that they were able to get such good body and character from a Pino Noir grape. And the Cab Frac was fantastic.

Charles McGeoghan

Not crazy about the pizza toppings and the white wines were not quite to our liking. But that could just be us. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a fantastic afternoon at Burning Kiln. We came for a tasting and lunch with a group of 7. Our Server and Sommelier were both really friendly and made us feel very welcome and well cared for. The wines were very good but are a bit pricier than average to purchase. I feel they are a good value however so try some and splurge a little! We have done tastings at well over 100 wineries and what was on offer here ranks among some of the best we have had. Lunch was very good as well the wood fired pizzas seemed to get the best reactions from our group but everything was clearly made but somone who cares and it was much appreciated! Thanks also for allowing us to buy some of that amazing bacon and onion jam to take home with us! Overall Burning Kiln is not inexpensive but is a very good value in my opinion and it's a beautiful drive no matter where you are visiting from!

Lovely kiln dried vintages.

Restaurant is upscale casual with great selection. Vegetarian and gluten free options. Excellent service and friendly staff.

Loved this spot! Tiny unassuming place off the main drag in Turkey point but some of the best VQA wines I've ever tasted! Been to a bunch in Niagara region and this lake Erie locale is my favorite! Very friendly knowledgeable staff.

Burning Kiln in Ontario, Canada. Excellent location, stellar wines (a white appassaminto! ), beautiful setting, friendly professional staff. Such a great experience. Eco-walks just next door with walking and mountain bike trails. Put this on your list. (You can tell I appreciate this group because otherwise I’d keep this one to myself.).

Greg Jankowski

Excellent service and knowledgeable staff make visiting Burning Kiln Winery a comfortable, relaxed and memorable experience. On my recent visit I tried "Buzz" the unique mead that they produce with a smooth, refreshing flavour that proved an impressive product to all in the party with whom I visited. (Typically meads - a honey based fermented beverage - has a high sugar content; "Buzz"'s Whiskey/Reddish tint represents a mead that is not sweet, nor dry, and proves to be appropriate for a hot day on a patio). Highly Recommended.

Cassie West

The wines are all well rounded and unique. We really enjoyed the blueberry and duck Bruschetta! curried Shrimp and Chicken Skewers were a little dry, but we really enjoyed the service and feel of the place.

I posted a similar review somewhere else on this site but I wanted to post it here. We were so disappointed that the menu has changed suddenly. There were a number of good vegan options on the old menu (tofu tacos, awesome salad with tofu and an edible bowl, battered veggies, etc.) when David’s food truck was there. We went back earlier this week to find out there is now a VG meats truck (unappealing) there with a new menu where our options are a boring salad minus the cheese and some cauliflower bites that may or may not be vegan (it wasn’t made clear to us when we asked). We had eaten there a bunch of times this summer and brought family too so it was such a disappointment to find an uninventive menu that we really can’t eat from especially since we were so excited to have found something so close to home that had options for us. Now we’re unable to come back which is a shame. Whatever happened between you and the old food truck should be patched up so they can come back ASAP. Lost business isn’t a good thing. Update: Canned Heat has a couple vegan options now but for some reason the new full menu is not on the website. I’m pleased with it but we have been back twice now and each time we’ve had rude staff. We’re polite and pleasant so not sure what’s with the attitude but we just try to ignore the rudeness and enjoy the scenery.

Burning kiln takes a tremendous amount of pride in making fantastic wine. They offer a great history lesson and plans for the future of their winery. As leaders in the Norfolk region they are developing a great name for this emerging area. Strip room 2016 for the win!

The best Norfolk County winery. Really doing something great here. Some wines are available at their booth at the Simcoe market on Thursdays.

Lisa Mcrobbie

My first winery so nothing to compare it to, but staff we're nice giving us samples, we picked our wine got a glass each and went for a stroll to check out the vines, then back to the patio to finish up, cozy place with a food truck out front as well, decent prices from what I could tell not having been to a winery before, clean nice place!

Outstanding wine... beautiful facility!

The wine & food were.. ok. We sampled 3 whites & 3 reds, didn’t like any. But when I mixed their super dry Chardonnay w/ their overly sweet “Stick Shaker”, I created magic. For the lack of options in the area, it’s nice to try. Staff is friendly.

We love the Burning Kiln Winery. It's our favourite place for lunch or dinner. The food at Canned Heat is exceptional! We have our favourite BK wines and the staff there are absolutely wonderful. Our favourite activity there is enjoying a glass of wine, while sitting in our own lawnchair in the vineyard listening to live music. There is no better way to spend an evening!

Tressa Ryan

My boyfriend and I went for a tour and dinner yesterday. The vineyard was beautiful and the tasting/tour was short and sweet, which we enjoyed. The service was great, we ordered a bottle of the horse and boat with dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, portions were a great size, and prices were very reasonable. I can't wait to go back!

Naz K

Garbage, called in and were told we can sit in the picnic area. Got a there, staff was rude and pointed us to other restaurants around. Don't waste your time

Ricardo Giraldo

Very nice place, the service was excellent and the prices reasonable.

We had a wedding celebration this past weekend, featuring local foods and drinks. The Harvest wines were at every table and went quickly. So many people commented on how good it was. The Chenin Blanc was also snapped up pretty quickly for dessert. We kept aside a Kiln Hanger for ourselves to celebrate at the end of the event! Thanks for the great selection of wines.

Great amenities and amazing wine selection! I got some cabernet frank made with grapes dried in tobacco kilns and it is absolutely wonderful with some fine cigars, you can actually taste and smell the tobacco in the wine... must try

If you don’t know where Burning Kiln is get ready for a worth while hour in the car to Lake Erie. On the Waterfront Trail Burning Kiln produces an array of amazing wines. Kiln Hanger below. Add a picturesque patio with the greatest canteen ever, you’re going to enjoy a great blend of drink and food.

(Came here in August) I came to Burning Kiln as part of my stop with Ride the Bine tour. The first thing that's great is the property itself. Just looking at it from the driveway is beautiful. The lush green field, the gorgeous winery, the lunch patio, and even the new glass venue for events is breath taking. I'm not usually a wine drinker, but since we were able to test some, I have found my new love for white wine! Horse & Boat and Sweet Leaf are AMAZING wines. My boyfriend likes red wine, and really enjoyed the Kiln Hanger. Their open air patio is also the cutest spot. It's perfect for grabbing some food to go along with all the wine you'll drink. If you like Perch, you'll definitely need to try their perch tacos. My boyfriend got these and said they were some of the best fish tacos he's ever eaten. I ordered the gourmet burger, and let me tell you... it was the BEST burger I've ever eaten. You can tell it was hand pressed and fresh.. the meat was so juicy and fell apart so easily. Paired up with the goat cheese & roasted red peppers just completed it! Do yourself a favour and come get this burger!! If I didn't live 2 hours away, I'd definitely be here more often! I'm actually upset I can't enjoy the wine and burger more often... I would also love to hold events here as the property is to die for. It would be perfect for photos.. and weddings too!

Sher

I loved this place so much I booked my micro wedding there! I am fairly new to Norfolk area and I visited TBK to have a wine tasting with my friend and the bartender was so knowledgeable about wine and we had great conversation! Canned Heat is delicious as well if you want something to eat! I haven't been to a music event but I have heard really amazing things and I'm dying to go with a bunch of friends! I definitely will be back!

The Plan

great winery. fantastic people Was staying across the street at Eco Adventures. Decided to try out the winery. My car got a flat tire on the way and they helped me get the tire changed and called around for a replacement on my behalf. We stayed for a wine tasting before dinner and they spent a great deal of time talking to us about their wine process. Wines were excellent. Dinner was great. People there are the best!

Angie McPetrie

Our marina is just down the road and we love to support Burning Kiln Winery and share the experience with our friends. Great food, wine, service and ambiance. Definitely a hidden gem in Norfolk County. Thank you!!

Jim Adams

Burning Kiln is a beautiful space that includes a patio restaurant. Until this year there wasn't anything that I found drinkable. They now have a wonderful Rose that can be sipped or served with most foods. They also sell some wonderful hand crafted chocolates that are reasonably priced.

Such a wonderful vineyard. I've been several times and each time I get a tasting the staff always strive to help me pick something that would fit my tastes. Their Sweet Leaf Riesling is hands down my favourite wine, ever!

Amanda Meaney

We did wine tasting with the help of Nina. She was very energetic and pleasant even though she had three stations to handle simultaneously. She shared the history of the location - how it used to be a tobacco farm. Tastings are a reasonable size. I'm a white wine fan and loved Sweet Leaf and bought a couple of bottles. It has an extremely fruity end note - but I'm no connoisseur! My husband tried the reds many of which had a smoky taste. Overall a very lovely experience.

Adam S

Brought our puppy with us to Burning Kiln, all staff were incredibly accommodating of our dog, offering her treats and water every stop we made. On top of that, first class service all around. Fantastic wines. Highly recommend, and bring your dog along!

Went on a Sunday and stayed for a few hours. They have live music Sunday afternoon. Two guys playing acoustic guitars were very good (I think they were called "With the Dudes). Had some good food on the patio with some drinks. Great time.

Poor food and expired gift cards? I received a gift card for 100.00 for the Burnt Kiln, used it once on a bottle of wine two weeks ago, went back to get another with the remaining 70.00 on my card and was told that it was "a single usage card that expired one used". In other words I lost 70.00. For that alone I would not return here.

We had a lovely experience at Burning Kiln. We were greeted upon our arrival and given instructions into wine tasting. We then were taken into the wine tasting tent and met Marilyn who was our wine expert. She was knowledgeable and very pleasant. Once our selections were made we then selected a glass of choice and a charcuterie board. Then went down to the field by the vines and enjoyed under some maple trees. The day was hot but there was a lovely breeze. The charcuterie board was a bit of a disappointment. For $15.00 we had 4 different kinds of cheese from Port Dover Cheese shop, 2 grapes and two packages of crackers. Everything was tasty but would of expected more for the price. Overall Burning Kiln has good wine, marketing is awesome, employees helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

Diana B

My first time at this winery and it was such a great experience! The person doing our wine tasting was so friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the wines. We walked out buying 3 bottles! Would definitely come back again :)

Betty Carroll

Atmosphere good, server's pleasant and very congenial, food was not good, dried out chicken, fish and beef and very little for the price paid. One friend had the lasagna and said it was good. Would not go again.

We were here for a wine tasting and dinner tonight. John, as our tasting guide, did an amazing job. Cannot say enough about him. Our dinner experience, on the other hand left a lot to be desired. Our server was less than attentive and the food took about an hour to arrive. Most of the meals were good, but one of the chicken dishes was very underdone. The winery/tastings, I would recommend. The restaurant, not so much.

Susan Quinn

This was the first time in my life I have ever walked out of an establishment due to not being served. We sat down and requested menus which we received, we set them aside as we were ready to order. After this, tables that had sat after us had orders taken while we kept trying to flag someone, anyone down to notice us. If someone had even popped over said sorry, we are crazy busy someone will be here soon it would be totally fine, but we sat for more than 15 minutes completely ignored which was too bad as the live music was great. We ended up at Inasphere wines down the road which had a lovely setting and view and a great Riesling!

Rude staff and gift cards are a waste to time!! I went in for the second time after recieving a gift card and having a large balance left from my first bottle of wine. When I went to use it I was told that they are "one use only" and that the balance was lost as it had expired after the first visit. Really? There goes 100+ !! I see other people have posted on this before, clearly a store policy!!!

We absolutely love this place! The grounds are so gorgeous, wines sublime, staff fabulous!!! We often bring a picnic basket, order take out from the Canned Heat and eat under the shade by the pond! I’ve ordered wines online but prefer to visit in person to experience this beautiful spot in person.

Great selection of wines and delicious food. Lovely patio to enjoy them on.

Len Dieleman (Bond)

We took our little dog with us we were welcome to bring her in. The first thing was a bowl of water for Ginger That made my day, the food was great, enjoyed the wine and Michelle our waitress was wonderful, it was a very nice day to be out. Highly recommend the experience.

Jody Mitchell

Great location. Good, if not pricey for the quality, wine. My first time there in 3 years. I like the new menu selections and the expanded patio. Pleasant and friendly staff who seemed overwhelmed by the Canada Day weekend crowds. Food was well prepared and presented although it took 75 min to arrive. I would recommend a stop when driving by.

My wife and stopped in for a glass of wine this past Sunday. It was only marginally busy. Hostess’s were all running around looking very important and essentially doing nothing. They left us and the couple waiting ahead of us standing at the “welcome” station for 5-10 minutes. The couple ahead of us just left out of frustration. I finally got the “hostess” to speak to us and stated we just wanted a glass of wine and asked her to seat us. She told us to go back inside and get it ourselves from the wine tasting bar. We proceeded back inside and the bar staff told us to go back outside. I informed them of our outside experience. We received our wine that was outrageously over-priced for the quality and seated ourselves outside in the ‘wine tasting area’. A small band was playing, which we enjoyed and we decided to order another glass of wine after a hour or so. The young waitress serving serving the area refused to wait on us, even after motioning her over to the table several times. We left and won’t be back. Service is nonexistent, the wine is of marginal quality and is over-priced.

My wife and I had our wedding at the BKW on September 18th, 2021 and we could not be more impressed with the venue and the staff. It was a picture perfect day and we are so glad we got to spend our day at this venue. Ashley, the coordinator was extremely helpful and attentive and is amazing at what she does! We would recommend BKW to all looking for a great experience.

We absolutely loved our visit to the Burning Kiln! We started our visit with a wine tasting which was such a lovely experience. We also stayed at the farmhouse for the weekend and had dinner at Canned Heat. Everything we did was so nice and all staff was so welcoming and willing to make our experience a lovely one. I would absolutely recommend an experience at Burning Kiln - it's such a beautiful spot. Also, the wine is good - as a non-wine drinker - I actually really enjoyed the wines. Overall, a wonderful experience.

The wine with food pairings are amazing and had an absolute wonderful time with Dan. Thank you Chef Ryan, you are sensational!

Was a great time seeing Jim Cuddy at the winery last nite .... ???? and ???? ????

Jayne George

Very disappointed. We were there today. No one acknowledged us at all. No hello, nothing, so we left and no good bye!

Second visit. On my first visit (Mother`s Day) I tasted the Broken Needle rosé and thought "Lobster" and the host suggested "Perch Taco's" and I thought "perfect- I`ll be back". We had been waiting until Mid July when I made the Pilgrimage back to find the Food truck had changed so much that we couldn`t even find the heart to order anything off the new menu! My party of three had a change of heart and left because we couldn`t find anything appetizing on the menu. I think Burning Kiln is on the right track going `cheese` with a winery BUT after thinking and dreaming about Lake Erie Perch with that fine Norfolk County rosé and showing off the great view of the Marsh and vineyards to my friends we were disappointed.. I`ll be watching and waiting for a new food menu to be posted and wish Burning Kiln the very best with finding a good food service to live up the promise of good wine.

I was there last year had a great experience they were laid back very nice atmosphere so I told my sister how good it was and we should go. Its changed the flights are $5 for 3 tastings. The girl we had put a tiny drop for each tasting. The food was expensive 19 for a burger kind of ridiculous for lunch and 13 for a glass of wine. Definately not worth the drive go to Niagara on the lake or Niagara better atmosphere and cheaper.

We have been a couple times now, on tours usually. This past week we came for drinks and dinner on the patio. Danielle was our waitress and recommended the pizza. I have not stopped talking about that pizza for days. It was very delicious! I highly suggest the Blue by Moo pizza. It started pouring rain right after we ordered our pizza and Danielle and the rest of the staff were very accommodating to all on the patio. We will be back very soon with friends!

ive been to Burning Kiln Winery several times. The vineyard is almost as lovely as their staff! They have my absolute favourite bottle of wine (kiln hanger) and they rest of their products are so good, i decided to become a club member. I encourage everyone to take the time to visit, you will not be disappointed.

I’m not sure if we went on a bad day, but the entire experience was terrible. We watched three tables walk out before getting their food and that should have been our hint to leave. We were told out food would be about 20 minutes. After an hour and a half I was getting tired of waiting and asked where our food was. The servers then brought two items we did not order. I then asked when the items we ordered would arrive and the server completely ignored me until she came back with our food after another 20 minutes. I’m sure the winery portion is great, but do not waste your time on the Restauraunt. It was not worth the money or time

Had a great evening watching live music, having a few beverages and enjoying a actual social event while feeling safe. Good job

Impressive food. Friendly staff. All around great experience.

Maureen Kane

Great fun! Great food! Great entertainment!

The best wine, service, people, food and patio. They offer free, fast local deliveries. The outdoor concerts and venues are amazing. They have motorcycle parking which is great, since I ride. I have nothing but good things to say about the people and the establishment. 5 stars

I ended up at this winery in a dragon onezie. I thought that i was going to be judged by everyone. I was so wrong! the wine was amazing the food was some of the best I've ever eaten! The prices were extremely reasonable! Everyone was so nice even the general manger came over asked me how I was doing and what was up with my costume. She was very welcoming and even ended our conversation with a friendly hug. All in all a wonderful meal, wine and experience. I will absolutely be back!

Before arriving to the canned heat restaurant in the burning kiln, i called to inquire if reservations were needed for two people and they said it was first come first serve. When we arrived we were turned away because all the tables were being used or will be used for reserved tables. I really wanted to try it out as it was me and my wife’s anniversary but we could not even make reservations for two either, it was too bad though.

Fabulous boutique winery. Knowledgeable staff, friendly. Wines were excellent, particularly the Pinot Grigio & Riesling. Definitely worth the visit

Andrew Van Mil

We came out to pick up a case of wine. Used tap to pay for the case, but when we got home, discovered we were charged a $35 tip. That's a rather unethical way to run retail. Will not return, despite liking the wine.

Etta Kendall

My sister, my daughter and I toured and sampled this winery! The guide was extremely knowledgeable and because of that, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The kiln experience really gave the wines a distinct flavour and we found some wines we really enjoyed and brought home.

Kirsten McCullough

Amazing event last night, except for one thing. Masks were mandatory in the drink tent at the beginning of the evening and being enforced by a security guard. Halfway through the evening, more than half the people weren't wearing them. When I asked one of the fabulous workers, she said that they can't enforce it if people are drunk and they are short staffed. I asked to speak to the person in charge and she said they weren't needed at all because there was open air flowing through the structure. I asked why they were needed earlier then. She got angry and actually walked away. It is unfortunate that such a great evening had such an unpleasant element to it. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.

Nadia Rodzinski

Dog friendly and stroller accessible patio at their restaurant, Canned Heat, complete with outdoor entrance hand washing station has only one drawback-- they only serve black coffee (or with sugar) as they have no creamer options available due to outdoor capacity limitations. Understandably popular, tables fill up FAST -- not even an hour into opening on a Sunday afternoon and there were no open tables. Everything else is great though so bring your mask (required if you intend at all to use their "facilities") and check them out early!

Patti Moore

We have been going here since it opened. Wine tastings, vineyard concerts, Christmas parties, lunch, dinner all are great especially with a glass of their wine!

We enjoyed an awesome wine tasting with Marilyn this week. The 2020 Sands is incredible. Lovely location.

Had a memorable visit here! Fantastic wines (seriously superior to Niagara wines) with knowledgeable - and FUN sommeliers. Then had the best meal on their patio - Canned Heat is fantastic! Going back often!

I went to a "Cuddy Concert" here 2 or 3 years ago. 6 of us went and there was not a negative response from anyone in our group. We all had a great time. It was also my first time enjoying their wine. I will admit that I found it slightly expensive for the small glass of wine we received but the overall evening was a great experience. I would highly recommend a visit!

Rick Mclellan

A very nice winery. Incorporating the history of the tobacco production in the naming of the wines is brilliant.

Catherine Agar

Second visit with a group of friends Aug 13, both times after doing the morning zipline at Eco Adventures. Very nice outdoor patio. The food is very good but both times they were out of some ingredients. The server was ordinary, she knew next to nothing about the wines or winery. Our friends own a vineyard so they were happy that the winemaker came out to talk and answer questions. Wine is ok but would benefit from more time. Overall very enjoyable, we will go again.

Frank Fulop

Can't say how much I love all their wine .people working there are top drawer. Such a great atmosphere going there to taste the grapes they have to offer .

Sue Downs

Just visited Burning Kiln Winery last Wednesday evening for Wine Down Wednesday and to celebrate the partnership with Home Town Brew. Had a wonderful evening with great friends. Enjoyed some Sweet Leaf wine and Southern Light beer. Ordered a burger and fries and both were delicious. Others ordered the Mac&Cheese and cheese platter and were very happy with that. The combination of the view, excellent customer service, great wine, food and beer and music by Felicia McMinn it was a fabulous evening. Very cool vibe. See you soon!

George Neudorf

I was just watching on CTV News about your business. At the very end of your interview you were tasting the vine after your mouth was on the glass you poured the vine back in the barrell. Really you just contaminated that whole barell. I was just watching this on London /Works

Had a wonderful late luncheon with friends on Friday and enjoyed the Quitting Time Pinot Grigio. Food was excellent and our server "Riley " was outstanding!!! Well versed on both food & drink menu. He made our visit a real happy time with his banter!!! Thanks Riley!!

Beautiful winery! Staff was very welcoming and our tour was great! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, and always made sure our glasses had wine in them. After the tour we enjoyed sampling more wine and exploring the beautiful landscape on our own. All of their wine was delicious but hands down their Broken Needle Rosé is my new all time favourite!

Leah Graham

Beautiful setting...relaxed. Purchased a crisp glass of pinot grigio and sat in Muskoka chairs. Staff are super friendly.
