On the third floor is a non-temporary exhibition which presents abstract and concrete works that are part of the museum's collection. The second and third floors are reserved for temporary exhibitions which vary regularly. In addition, the establishment includes a public work embedded in the floor made thanks to the government's 1% program for public arts. Without forgetting that this establishment has a part of the history of Sherbrooke since it is an old bank and it is possible to visit the old safe which contains old bank notes and some connected to the history of this establishment. A perfect activity during a rainy day! (Original) J'aime bien aller au Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbooke. Il y a toujours des expositions intéressantes et si un après-midi vous chercher une activité originale, c'est parfait. Au troisième étage se trouve une exposition non-temporaire qui présente des oeuvres abtraites et concrètes à la fois faisant partis de la collection du musée. Le deuxième étage et troisième étage sont réservé à des expositions temporaires qui varient régulièrement. De plus, l'établissement comporte une oeuvre public incrusté dans le plancher réalisé grâce au programme du 1% du gouvernement pour les arts publics. Sans oublier que cet établissement comporte une part de l'histoire de Sherbrooke puisqu'il s'agit d'une ancienne banque et il est possible de visiter l'ancien coffre-fort qui contient de vieux billets de banque et certains reliés à l'histoire de cette établissement. Une activité parfaite durant une journée pluvieuse!

I have been to larger museums around the world, but if you are staying in this region of Southeastern Québec and want to get out to see something apart from the lakes and the adorable villages, then you can make a short day trip centered around a stop at this museum. Nice space in a former bank-you can take a little look inside the old vault that has informational displays on the building's history. The main show they had that was a contemporary installation featuring indigenous lives was interesting with pop-culture references and radical graphics. But, the installation was in a medium-size room, and I wish there could have been more of it somehow. Staff are bilingual and even though not all the pamphlets they will give you if you ask are in English as well as French, the people working there explain well in English what exhibits are where in the museum. Wish that this museum was a little bigger, but overall it was a beautiful place with some interesting pieces on display and nice people working there!

Small but satisfying collection. While the museum does not boast a huge collection of pieces it presents it's main exhibit, Quebec landscapes, in a satisfying and unique way. Combined with 2 alternating exhibits the museum provides a decent level of return-ability combined with the comfort of a few favorites in the small but charming permanent collection.
