You have all the reviews of people like you who used the services of Thomson Memorial Park (Tourist Attraction) in the area close to Scarborough (Canada).
Now the firm receives a score of 4.5 over 5 and this score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is virtually the highest, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we can think that the rating is very accurate. If people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well with the service, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to write feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Tourist Attraction is included in the category of Park.
Very crowded for a city in a pandemic. People gathering in groups of 20 or 30 and more
Nice place to take a walk
The park is beautiful with a lot of trails. There's lots of room and it's very clean.
It was rib festival event. So many attractive foods. A local band had show on that night.
Its very crowded but have some really good rood during the ribfeast and its a very calm and relaxing place to hang out with your family and friends. I really liked it alot. Ive been here only once and i already feel welcomed.
Beautiful park for feiends and families to picnic, BBQ, exercise or just have fun.
Its a great park. Family friendly and great place walk around. Multiple paths n you can bbq
Great place for kids and families to spend a whole summer day or just for a walk/stroll through the greenery. Nice play area/splash pad for the kids. Quite clean
A wonderful place to have picnics, pick wild berries, and just walk. Usually quite busy, but the deeper you go into the park, the quieter. Some bridges need maintenance.
Nice big park. Washrooms, picnic tables, parking lot, etc.
The workers are very friendly there. They make sure that you have trash bags! And they drive by and pick them up when they're full.
nice park for family picnic. I lived near by but I visited this summer only. People are making a mess of this park. There is a small lake and i see lot of plastic/garbage being thrown. we had our camp behind splash pad and a kid just came near and went pee on his pants. Kids mom was right behind me. #Facepalm
Great park to bring my pup, take some great autumn photos & walk the trails. My pup loves going & gets excited everytime was drive into the parking lot. I love how there are multiple sections for dogs to play in & the water dispensers. And free parking! Also great place for pokemongo
Nice park to spend time with friends and family, offers BBQ picnic spots, kids play area, tennis court and dog park ! Has plenty of parking too !
A wonderful green space smack in the middle of Scarborough Lots of picnic tables available to use and even has a quaint little museum giving a little more background on the Thompson family.
It has nice trails to walk and bike. A separate enclosed area for dogs to play. Inside feels unsafe during the week when it was dark and quiet.
It's a pretty nice park. Lots of areas for picnics. Parking lot is spacious too.
I love this park in Scarborough, it has a water park as well. There is a small museum kind of huts inside. Parking is hard to find on busy days.
Very big park. Perfect for a picnic. Splash pad with play area. Kids enjoy a lot. Must see place every summer.
A park worth visiting. If only visitors would pick up their litter. The staff work hard to clean it. We should all do our part to to keep it that way
Very good park for picnics and for kids! Has a waterpark (medium size) a game area with slides and swings. A dogs park if you walk a little and tons of tons of areas to barbeque and make bonfires.
Nice park, to take a walk and relax. Good place for children. There is a Dog park too.
It is one of the best park for you and your family .
We come often to this park for barbecuing. It's full of tables and banks. Nice and quite area for an evening.
Nice to walk with your dog, they have a huge off leashed dog park, the best thing they separate the small and big dog.
Feels funny to review a public park, but this is a great spot. There is parking, trails, the lovely Scarborough Museum, and a nice trail and picnic spaces. It hosts great events that connect Scarborough's communities like Rib Fest, and Canada Day.
My favourite place for Ribfest. The only complaint is that we got there early to beat the crowds and the heat, and they parked us at the furthest end of the parking lot. I feel that when you're early someplace, you should be parked closer. It didn't make sense to me.
Amazing place...Has the best dog park..Brutus just loved it and it is huge..
Park has covered picnic areas that can be reserved. Tennis courts. The largest dog park in the city has a dog drinking fountain and is divided into 3 sections - all dogs, small breeds & older dogs. Paved paths. Ducks in the creek. Two playgrounds & a wading pool. Scarborough Historical Museum on grounds is pay what you can. There's exercise equipment along the path near the museum. The park is popular with families. If you aren't a dog person this may not be the best place for you. This is in a dog friendly neighbourhood.
Kids enjoy the splash pad and the playground has lots to do. The park itself is beautiful and peaceful!
Great park. Soccer Sundays the place is jam packed. Can't find parking anywhere. Lots of families BBQ and picnicking. Good to just drop by and hang out and enjoy the day of you can find parking.
Clean and well maintained park space. Adequate parking, though it gets crowded on a Saturday afternoon. There are a decent number of washrooms, but there is no baby changing station in any of them.
Lovely family friendly park.
Was a bit crowded even with the current Covid-19 situation. But, a good park overall, great place for a BBQ or Family picnic. Good playgrounds for kids and nice trails for walking and clean bathrooms.
I love this park, we bring our dog here on the weekends to relax. They have large areas for dogs to play, which can also be an issue because some of them can be aggressive or territorial with other dogs.
Love this park, great place for a family get together, large grounds, lots of park tables, small BBQ pits, play ground, extensive dog park( large, small and elderly separate areas) with running water.
Nice trails. Animals such as Cayote, beaver can be seen if you visit early morning time.
Lots of open space, nicely landscaped and maintained groups
Best best best park I have ever went to .. lots of beautiful sitting areas where you can do picnics, party and no will get disturbed or no one will disturb you too...
A nice park in Scarborough. We picked up some Lebanese pizza and came to the park to enjoy a bite on this great weather Saturday
Best place to walk have picnic so many different dogs play areas for different dogs clean well maintained
Amazing time at the wonderful dog park. The best one anywhere.
The park is big and clean. There are a number of activities the kid and adults can do. Kids could play in the playground, a large splash kids, or play badminton on the green. There is even an areas with exercise equipment, and I saw a number of folks doing exercises. There is even a separate dog park, where the owners can take their leash off and let them run around. The washrooms are clean and plenty, and so is the parking spots, but you have to get there before 12. There was ice cream truck parked there the whole day, for the little ones to enjoy cold treats throughout. Folks could do BBQ, as there is plenty of space for grilling. A large number of picnic benches for families, to sit and eat food. They could even reserve from as many as 6 gazebos to do a little party outside. Plenty of places to take pictures, with beautiful flower flower beds in one area with a museum of sorts (i didn't investigate what was the small museum for). All in all a nice park with plenty of activities.
Great experience. A lot of space for kids to run around. There is a park and a splash pad and a lot of shaded areas for sitting and enjoying fresh air .
Huge park, many pick nick tables
Great place...amazing park for all ages. Great for picnic and families. It is a little bit crowded but people are nice and friendly. Saw a baby skunk there
Great park lot trees, huge picnic grounds and long walking trails and. And a museum.
One of the parks I like the most in the Greater Toronto area which is easily reachable and has enough facilities. The park is great in summer for activities and sports. Since 2004 I've come to this park and it's been always clean and well maintained. Definitely my go to when it comes to barbeques and such.
Beautiful place to explore and eat out with friends
Amazing park to visit and spend time in. Very family friendly and lots of charcoal bbq grills for public use. There are plenty of playgrounds and water park for kids and adults alike. Lots of shaded benches and sheltered picnic areas with hard roofs for any weather. You will find an off leash dog park, with many friendly dogs and dog companions. There’s a museum with pay what you can, Jeff does a great job at giving you a tour. Many trails to enjoy the nature and scenery. There’s also a ravine that runs through the park with ducks and fishes. Huge parking lot to accommodate the demand when it gets busy. Would highly recommend. You will thank me later :)
Nice dog park.. nice place for picnic
Great park! It feels like your out of the city. The park was clean. Lots of space to practice social bubbles. Great job city of Scarborough. Check this park out it's a great experience....
Very peaceful and calm place to relax at, the park also has play area for kids, Thomson Memorial park has one of Scarborough first homes built which you could see as you enter. Recommended for every one to visit.
Scarborough rib fest is fun. Lots of vendor selling ribs, chicken and pulled pork. There's also lemonade stand. And a mini fun Fair for with kids rides. Also live music. Parking is tricky to find. You have to go there early to find parking and get fresh food. It also gets really hot in there with so many vendors BBQing at the same time.
Nice splash pad ... Grounds need a little TLC ... But mainly because they are used by many people... Staff at the museum were very nice
One of the best park to spend time with families and friends, it is very clean and a lot of green space to relax and enjoy your day!!!
Great time...... unfortunately the maintenance people decided to put out a fire that we came and found burning. And the smoke blew right into the faces of young children. Now as a mother and this happens you become defensive because your kids can't walk or talk to defend themselves..... something needs to be done about those people..... harassing black people when other people too were burning fires
The only place that I take my huskies to. People are great and mostly responsible people who looks out for their dogs. There is a dog water fountain that is open in the summer to hydrate your dogs. There are 4 sections of play yard open and categorized for big and small dog area. Once or Twice a year there is a BBQ meetup to get the dog community socializing and building a community.
Best hike! The trails run alongside the ravine and under the main roads. Very peaceful and soothing. The kids park is outstanding. Si many activities, tennis, soccer baseball Frisbee etc. Great for the whole family
Great place for a family gathering and has good parking. Nice view and basic stuff you would expect at a park are all there.
The ribfest was awesome. Many piggies died to bring us this excellent feast.
A nice park that has a museum, splash park, playground and health park. It is well used but needs a litter pick-up after the Canada Day weekend!
It is a very good park with exercise equipments, baseball court, soccer court, splash pad kids play area, dog park and a lot of greenery with bbq facilities. Getting a spot to park your car would be a challenge. Alao they have locked out a major part due to COVID 19. it was also too crowded on the weekend.
Good place Crowded Old and needs love
Very calm and peaceful, truly a rejuvenating journey Also an excellent BBQ spot!
Nice clean family fun park. Have a kids area as well as a water play area for the summer heat. Lovely gadgets for exercise and play for old and young. Large space for bbq and walks.
Love this park nice to relaxing
Not easy to get a picnic table at the park, they get taken fast. But we brought a gazebo tent and had a wonderful birthday party for my baby. Theres a park, splash pad, dog park, and fun hills to roll down! Only downfall, the washrooms are GROSS!
Beautiful park with fabulous trails The dog park is huge with many different fenced areas
This park has a lot to offer and it's free. From the largest dog park, biking and running trails to covered picnic spots. Awesome place!
A huge parking lot with lots of play area for kids, splash pads for kids in the summer, great walking trails, bike Lanes, picnic spots and much more. There are 2 fenced area for your pet dogs to play with other dogs. There is a water fountain for the dogs. Ofcourse dog owners should help fill the water bowl. Worth for a barbeque.
The accessibility of the children's splash pad area along with the playground and shade provided by the trees makes family outings quite enjoyable and relaxing.
It's really good!! people friendly ~ really wide~ good for go for a walk~~ clean way~~ but water smells is not good under a bridge now.
Nice place to chill, always packed with parties.. families and bigger groups
Beautiful day, great park. Good place for a walk, a run, biking, and close to home
My favorite park to spend time alone, with friends and family. There is a lot you can do here: - Take a walk or bike on the trails - Have a picnic or BBQ - Use the soccer field, baseball diamond or tennis court or watch others play - Take your dog to the off-leash dog park - Kids can play in the water park or the playgrounds they have - Visit the museum and the staff will give you a tour - Use the the few fitness equipment they have - Picnic shelters for when it rains - Many benches and picnic tables - Bottle filling/ water fountains. -Small streams and pond - Ribfest during the summer with carnival games, a few rides and lots of vendors The park has a lot of parking spaces. The only downside would be that the washrooms are not that clean and in the summer the park is over crowded with no place to sit.
Love this park. Great trails, huge dog park. Lots of parking and green space for bbq and picnics. Washrooms on site and a playground for the kids
One of the best parks in Scarborough. This park is perfect for family outings no matter if your family is 3 people or 300 people. The park is massive and have a big area for kids to play, in flushing a jungle gym, some tennis courts and a splash pad. You can even bring your dog small or big as there is an off leash dog park for both sizes. Bring your BBQ and have a party. Ribfest happens here in the last Weekend in July.
Decided to detour to this park for a stroll and it is quite a beautiful park to take in the autumn colors
Great place to just be outside with the family. I like to bring the hammock here and just chill under the shade. Can bring your bbq and hang out under the gazebos. Lots of green space and benches. Can get really busy though. David and Mary Thomsons house is there as well and has been turned into a museum. There are washrooms as well. Nice trail for walking / jogging /cycling. The park itself is well maintained and usually the ice cream truck is there. There is also a playground for kids and a tennis court. I grew up around there and have alot of great memories so no reason it doesn't get 5 stars! Could use some more colourful flowers but thats about it.
Great playground, love the diversity of slides and a spider web. Highly appreciated to have mulch instead of the sand. Beautiful park with a creek and enough area for parking. Love!
Nice, Beautiful & very large park. Lots of trees. Loved it. Great parking space too...
Awesome place with spacious pet park!
Beautiful park with lovely trails. Too bad the humans can't keep it clean.
The older kids take over the splash and pick on the younger kids if you have young kids stay clear of this place Mondays are the worst
Clean, well managed, you can always find some quite corners. Also there is a small museum inside showing how people use to live more than 100 yeara ago in Canada, interesting!
Absolutely lovely park that includes a dog park as well. In all seasons it's good some good short and long trails.
Great place for picnics, fantastic playground and splash pad. Too few parking though, took 10 minutes to find a spot.
Thompson Park is a great Park to go to. they got a historical house that you can visit they open it up to the public every once in awhile the house belonged to David and Mary Thompson . The summer is a great time to go to and they got the love trails that go on too many other parts
I loved it. It was very clean beautiful sights. very nice for jogging or riding a bicycle.
It's a good place to have gatherings with family and friends. It's one of the many parks that still allow barbecues. It's great to bring the kids there for the big park and water park.
I have visited this Park since my kids were little. We used to picnic and walk the trails. Now I can take my grandkids there and let them play on the playground as well as the exercise machines. Scarborough Historical Museum is excellent;small that's full of fascinating information about the first settlers to this area that is off to the indigenous people who also made this area their home. Last time we were there we happened on a weekend where the museum was providing samples of favorite foods created by the museum staff.
I love this park. It's truly amazing. I love going out for a bike ride, but mainly in trails where I get to enjoy nature, and the river sounds. The trail is here is amazing, since you don't want to have a trail that's skinny, and you'd have to go on the grass to pass by pedetrains, no. This park is great. I love biking through this park, since you get to see the birds, the river, the ducks, and the fresh air of the trees! I just love going through nature. My favorite part is going through the forest, there's a small path throughout the forest here. This place is also great if you would like to do a BBQ here, as there is so much space and land for you to choose from. It's also really nice to admire the view, the forest, and the sky from. It's great to brings your kids here as well, because I'm telling ya, there is so much space here at this park, for bicyclist, parties, hikers, etc. Continuing on, there's also a museum that's located in this park, for your kids to explore. I do believe though you have to pay a small fee, but hey, for me, it was quite an experience learning about the old and pioneer times. Sometimes, there's also an ice-cream truck, that goes here, usually in the afternoon! Trust me, ice-cream from an ice-cream truck is just so amazing, it's fresh, and easy to bite into. Kids love ice-cream, and so do I. There's also a dog park here, if you would like to take your dog out, this is also a place to go. As I've said before, there is just so much space here, so your dog can run around, not having to be confined in such a small fenced area. Though, there are sections that are fenced for certain particular dogs, as I was biking thorough. Some are for the active dogs, some are for the calm dogs, etc. This park is also highly maintained. I believe that the workers here that help to maintain this park do really a good job, I don't see much garbage being littered around here (I would expect it, since the amount of parties and people gathering here, but none). The workers here really strive to do their job to the best limit as they can, so well done for them. My favorite event that happens at this park is the rib feast! Man, those ribs really taste like Heaven. There's also a good amount of security and police when the rib feast does happen here, to ensure everyone is safe, as I believe the rib feast goes throughout all night, not sure though. There's also rides, and games that you can play, only during the rib feast though. r than the events, this park is calm, clean, and fun to hike, walk, or cycle around. I sure do enjoy this park. Would I recommend going here? Yes. Even if it's for parties, BBQ, enjoying nature, wanting to do a little bit of exercise, this park is it.
Used to be a great place before. Now too much crowd and interestingly i found people somehow there are very rude. But still the amenities are same like before.
I was introduced to this park when Centennial College held their 50th Anniversary Special, Paint the Town Green clean-up event. I really enjoy this park, it's large and well maintained. Several barbeque spots, picnic spots, and sheltered picnic areas. Excellent opportunities for photography!
Great place for a nice foresty walk in the city. Long paths and great nature surrounding. Large dog park with various areas for different types of dogs. Child park very out of date. New water park for kids in the summer. Lots of shaded areas for picnics.
Lots of open space and play area, splash pads. Excellent place for a lovely weekend with children, family and friends.
Great and expansive dog park my pup really loved it there.
Good place get peace over here ☺️
A huge and wonderful park! Great experience walking around here! Lots of space and even with lots of people it doesn't feel too crowded!
Great dog park area. Plenty of dogs and lots of space. There are plenty of regular people that visit the dog park, this gets the dogs very familiar with one another which is very nice for my pup.
Sizable enclosed dog park with different sections for dogs of different sizes and temperaments. The park is good for us 2 legged animals also.
Great park for all dogs. There are separate areas for big, small, and quiet dogs.
Well maintained park with many nicely shaded picnic areas, dog parks and paved trails northward and southward. Never worry about parking spots. Highly recommended.
Family friendly, all members of the family pets n all. Great outdoor space with animals all around with a different scenery of the river. Nice for walking and exercising, BBQ you name it.
Great park for any dog! They have 3 areas sectioned off for small dogs, large dogs and dogs that like a quiet environment. In addition to the large space for your pup to run for hours they have chairs to sit on
Lots of room, exercise equipment through it the park to use
Great park to take the family. Splash pads are open and there is a playground and off leash dog park
Beautiful and nature park for BBQ and relaxing with family or friends.
A great treed park with excellent waking paths. Easily accessible creeks/rivers for dogs. Public restrooms and a big off leash dog park.
Thompson park is a great local park and has many things to do. There are plenty of biking paths that go through the park as well as a small bmx area that gets built up nearly every summer. There is a splash pad and a park that is great for smaller children. There is also a pioneer musem which is pretty interesting. There is also a tennis pad, baseball feild, and soccer field here. There are areas for fires and barbaques as well as seating although you are supposed to book the seating ahead of time. Often times there are events that go on in the park most noteably Ribfest.
Seems to be a very beautiful park. I didn't get to enjoy it much, as it was very very crowded, but I will visit another time.
Its a great park with splash pad, tennis courts and kids playground plus picinic/bbq areas. Great for the family and general gatherings. On the long weekends it gets packed so parking is an issue.
Scenic trails, splash pads, tons of sheltered picnic areas, historical landmarks and even an attached dog park! During the summer, you can even sample edible mulberries!
Very nice park area. Lots of space, a nice path, nice amount of parking! Can do many activities here!
Cool and nice ... Enjoyed the long walk. Was good
Loving these place cos my kids had lot of fun.
Great park, can't wait until they finish the new playground so my daughters can enjoy it!!!
Nice place for the family. Gets crowded quickly and good picinic spots get taken, come morning or afternoon. Water play area for kids. We'll taken care of.
Beautiful park. Fantastic for photos and nature walks with your partner or family.
Such a gem hidden in Scarborough. This park is not only beautiful but has a lot to offer from BBQ tables, water splash for the kids, playgrounds, dog leash off area, biking trail, bird watching, and so much more. Visit it and tell me about your experience. For ideas of what to do or where to go near Toronto follow me on Instagram @ifajardo87
Nice and big park. you can play games here, do barbeque , walk in the trails. It's good park in Scarborough to spend time with family and friends. Perfect picnic spot ????
Great park with great amenities. There is a large splash pad for kids with multiple features. It was my first time there and I found parking easily but that was on a Monday afternoon. Not sure if you can BBQ there but there were many groups picnic ing . I only explored 10% of this space but would definately come back again.
Cool place to bike. No common sense in people, there is more then 50-60 people in some groups today on June 5th 2021
It's a nice park to go to get a breather and to see your friends/family. It has a decent soccer field and a nice bike path. The only problem is that it has a sewage type of smell beside the bike bath and made it a little unpleasent.
Big and beautiful park. Whether you come for a stroll or have fun with family and friends, this is a great place to be. It has a splash pad, shade to eat or barbeque, paved walkway, free parking, playground for kids, a little stream with ducks, a little bridge, and very clean surroundings. It's a good place to relax and enjoy nature.
Huge park, lots to do here. Great dog park. Large, small and quiet areas for the dogs. No lighting at all at night, which is not good. But the whole park deserves a better rating so I only took off one star. Biking, waking, running etc...
This park is really lovely with lots of connecting paths to other parks. It is usually very busy in the summer but because it is so large there is usually space to be found
Nice little park, a variety of flora and lots of benches and picnic areas. There's also the opportunity to walk through the park and onwards along a multi-use trail that passes partly along a creek and later the hydro corridor through various habitats.
Love coming to this park for the dog park. Jacob is a small dog so I appreciate the parks that provide multiple sections (big dog, small dog and one section for dogs who do not want to be bothered). This park is maintained well and had accesscto walking paths for a little bit of exploration.
Great park to spend with your family. Large premises with washrooms. Also connected with bike trail.
Good place to have some family fun. Lots of room to have a picnic, play some sports, walk your dog, do a photoshoot. It's great. It has a huge soccer field, a large park area to have picnics and trails to walk etc, a tennis court with programs, and a huge dog park .
Good place for picnic.
Great place to have a picnic and the kids can have fun at the water fountain as well.
Wonderful park in the city. The city does a great job keeping it clean. The historic buildings has a lot of friendly staff fantastic for kids activities and crafts. Water park is a bonus.
Awesome place to hangout with friends and family. Well maintained facilities. Fair amount of parking space.. a good place to spend a weekend evening or a place to come for ur regular sports activities
We take the dog here for weekend walks. It's very big with lots of different walking paths to enjoy. They have a lot of sitting get areas was well
Not forest. Just really big park. Not my preference
Crowded but great park for family events
To those who have not discovered this little oasis in the middle of Scarborough, you should check it out. I really enjoyed my time in Thomson Memorial Park. There are picnic tables and benches everywhere, playground for kids, covered roofs for gatherings, hiking trail, lush trees and plants and ponds. You will see and hear birds around, little red and black squirrels, etc. There is enough parking space and washrooms. If you want to unwind, enjoy a stroll, walk for exercise, read a book, have a little picnic, then this is a perfect place to be.
Nice park for family and kids
Lots of space! Has a splash pad for kids and a llt of places to have a picnic.
Beautiful place, plenty of parking
I absolutely love this park. We stopped by here to take a walk along the trail but came across the museum and ended up having a guided tour. It was great to learn a bit about the history of Scarborough. The park also has an off leash dog park, a couple of playgrounds, a water park in the summer and a large amount of picnic tables and BBQ's. They take great care of the environment and it's a really beautiful place to relax and spend time with family and friends. I'd say this is one of the best parks in Scarborough and I'd highly recommend it!
I love love love the dog park here. My dog loves coming here, the park is huge and fenced. They separate the small dogs and the big dogs just in case, but you can choose which would be best for your dog. It's a great place to socialize, for dogs and owners alike.
A lovely park in the middle of Scarborough where you can go for a stroll with your favorite dog or even a friend. Me, I like to pick up a coffee and a sandwich at McDonald's and come over here to have my meal in peace and quiet. Actually, I have the tunes playing and the car door open to take in the summer breeze. Whatever your pleasure.
A great place for dog walkers, bike riders, explorers, and families together.
It’s a big and busy park. There are 3-4 historic buildings to visit in museum area. We stopped by there when it was almost closing time. It’s almost the same idea with Pioneer village. We walked in the park after, it’s another nice big park to explore
Beautiful place, dog park inside, free parking, baseball diamond, soccer games, social events-Ribfest in August. Great for family outing or quiet time alone, or socialize with other dog owners!
Best place to gather with familes, having small parties and bbq. There is a interesting water fountain and slides for children to play around. Also equiped with equipments for people to do work outs!
Good spot to get out in nature and clear your head. Enjoy walking your dog on the trails, or tobogganing, or just burn of some energy on the play equipment for kids. Ample parking and public washrooms still open in the cold months.
Lovely place to walk!
Nice trails.... Good sitting arrangements every where... Washroom and water station is nice and clean... Good place to spent day in park... You can play soccer and etc. No parking fees...???? ???????? must visit again
Nice park, 1 baseball diamond, 1 soccer field, huge dog park, historical Thomson house, splash pads and lots of space for picnics. They have four covered areas that require permits to rent out. Ample parking. Great park
The splash pad it extremely enjoyable coverd picknek tables.space for everyone. Lots of BBQ. . Walk paths. Adventure bush.. privet places for photo ops. Play ground . tennis courts. . Excersize toys.. drive in movies. soccer. Baseball. Shelter BBQ. Fresh water pumps.. places to set up nets.. I love this place for birthdays or just family time.. everyday
Nice park. Lack of vendors.
I always went to this park in elementary school for educational purposes. The staff are so nice and very informative. Even after going recreationally, the park is tidy and there is a lot of room for picnics. Highly recommended for walks or just as a hang out spot with your kids.
Great park to take the kids to, but the pond area makes me sad. It used to be a beautiful waterfall with ducks and frogs and the likes, but now it's an overgrown wasteland. Also, the playground equipment could benefit greatly from an update. Although, I hope they keep the big metal wheel barrow guy.
Lovely spot to get close to nature and enjoy some fresh air. Playgrounds are closed presently due to Covid-19. Usually very busy and parking can be full. Take your bike or the ttc if you can.
Picnic spot for all groups .. full of place to play greenery ..kids play area..lots of fun ..music .. games volley ball net .. spacious parking area. great place for Family gatherings .. went on longweekend .. decent crowd . washrooms are open.
Love this park. It's what we call "our family park" I had a memorial tree planted for my late husband. It gives us alot of comfort knowing Robs tree will stand tall and free in our favorite park.
This review is about children's play park in Birkdale Ravine which is located on the west side of Brimley road at the north east corner of Thompson Park. The play area has swings, climbing dome, see saw, merry go round etc. It also has 2 xylophones. Play area is is rubberized instead of being built on sand.
Always a nice park to picnic and visit the Historical House.
Great park. Been going here since I was born. Great family oriented park with some slides and water park etc as well as a dog park and tennis court.
Loved this park it was raining when we went but our pup Winston had a great time at the leash free dog park. Had a Corgi Meetup there and a doggie clothing swap. Loved that it had benches for us to all out the items to look over. Lots of fun. Will definitely go back on a sunny day.
Beautiful park. Has trails and a playground
Nice maintained park. Plenty of space for picnic and gathering. Washroom is bit messy but better than few of the other parks I have seen. Barbecue options are good as well. You can book shades if you want and will have good seating place. Track is also present for walk or cycles.
The park is nice but the parking lot is a nightmare. You would think being on lockdown would make it a bit easier to find parking but that's not the case. I mean who am I to complain I was outside as well. There are plenty of walking paths and places to sit and have a picnic.
Very beautiful and clean park. Great scenic place to walk, relax and feel like outskirts of city. Lots of picnic benches.
Nice park in Scarborough to spend time with your family, take out your kids to play or even for a walk. Of an o you can spot rabbits as well. Lot of space for parking and washrooms are located just beside the parking lot. In summers you can do picnics but seems there is a small fee.
Jamaicans chilling by their cars in the parking lot playing music, Indians by the hundreds (aka a single family) having picnics. White people trying to act cool like they just watched Black Panther (I've seen it twice). A large park at it's most Torontoest (don't tell me what isn't a word), with a huge mix of all people out enjoying the area. A few different kids playgrounds, many picnic spots w/ BBQ's, soccer field. A great place.
Good for dogs of all sizes as there are 4 separate zones.
Went there on Saturday l, family bbq, the area nice, clean. The washrooms were very clean..the maintenance ppl keeping with changing the garbage and keeping the area clean.
Dog park, children play area, bbq area. Nearby lawn tennis court, Museum. Lots of green lawn and lots of trees. Enough seating arrangements. Clean, but near the water area it is filled with mosquitoes, you can avoid. Crowded by families on sunday. Weekends you won't find parking, just come walking. Won't give it a 5 star because I have been to kitchener victoria park.
I love this park! It's simply beautiful, with well kept grounds. The park spreads over a wide expanse of land and has something for everyone. Lots of covered and uncovered picnic areas, play areas, walking trails, two dog parks, historical area and a nearby tennis court. What's not to love! Definitely worth a visit ☺
This has a joint playground and splash pads surrounded by trees, lots of shades, lots of picnic tables and parking. Nearby is a commercial area for your picnic and bbq needs. It is a very good place there is also an open field. In the vicinity there's a drinking fountain as well.
Great dog park, has different sections for big dogs, small dogs, and other sections for dogs that may not want to socialize. Really hope they make some sort of agility course, that would be so much fun! As for the park, it’s nice to walk around. Weekends are usually very busy during the summer and may be difficult to find parking. There are two parking lots, the main one and the one by the tennis courts. You can rent out one of the many picnic shelters or set up your own picnic area. Washrooms are few and far apart. One big playground, a splash pad and a smaller playground in the back. I’ve been coming here since I was a child and still love coming here as an adult!
Great place for a stroll winter or Summer
Really nice park with lots of benches, picnic tables and barbecues. It's deep enough to feel like a forest in some places, which is great for Scarborough. There are lots of events going on all the time, too, so it's always full of people which I like.
Nice place for family gathering and perfect place for bbq.
Our family always enjoys outdoor activities. Besides my lo hat getting mangled and one dog approaching our vehicle while in parking off leash it was a wonderful time.
Thomson park is a good place for walking, spending time with family and friends and water park is really good for children's. But no coffee shop or food restaurant nearby .overall it's clean and peaceful park .
We really enjoyed our time walking here on a nice winter's day, and the different sections in the dog park. Seemed like a family-friendly place.
Lots of sprawling space and greenery. Good for families, being active, large get togethers. Dog park too with many sections for dogs and their owners of all types.
I was here for ribfest and it was a great experience. The food was great. Good Weekend Vibes. I would love to go back another time. Crabby's BBQ had some flavorful Ribs and BBQ Chicken.
I love this park but one thing i miss that is circket ground i wish thay have
The park is beautiful. My dog really enjoyed. Three great separated dog park. All grass. Benches, chairs and shades. Even water both for dogs and drinking water.
Located in the Bendale neighborhood in Scarborough, this park is home to a soccer field, a running/biking trail along a brook and also few shelters to hold public gatherings / parties.
Very colorful in the fall season, two playgrounds for kids and adults. Good for family picnics and barbecues.
It's the perfect place for a walk. Very popular with families with small kids as it has a playground and wadding pool. Nice hills for tobogganing in winter. It also has a dog park
Love this park, so much to do. They have the splash pad, play ground, the dog park and lot of paths to walk if you just feel like taking a stroll.
This is one of the nicest parks in Scarborough. It has the historic Thompson dwellings which are worth a visit. There is a large children's playground and a baseball diamond that seems to cater to the senior set LOL. My last visit was in the late fall and the foliage was in its geriatric splendour with yellows predominating. It's an easy walk through the valley into the Hydro right of way and back again. The river runs through the north end of the park and provides numerous photo opportunities. All in all, its a nice place to spend an hour.
The place has copied all the outdoor exercise equipment from China : The government of Ontario first made their citizens unhealthy by using them as Gunypigs with experimental medicine. What China has made their citizens healthy and productive. Canada is 50 years backward. Copy Cats. Ha, ha, ha.: Who are you trying to kid?
It's a great place to walk and play sports. It is a big park so won't be too crowded. Social distance easy to comply. Lots of parking and free too. A nice bike path available that takes you far. Mostly clean and easy to enjoy.
A gorgeous use of the space. It seemed to never end on my first visit
Awesome place. Nice water park for kids. Washrooms are clean. But this place is very crowded that’s all. ???? ???? ????
Lots of activities for friends and family. An area for soccer and baseball, 3 tennis courts, multiple dog zones, small waterpark, various jungle gyms, etc. Very large trails and lots of tables for events.
What's taking my Kids here. Definitely recommend it for parents that are looking to have a good environment and a nice place to end the day on the swing set
A nice park for walks. Though the park is beautiful k, it's not really suitable for any ball sports or major activities, though this is not a park for playing games. Very nice with good tree placement. Located close to shops for food and other equipment you may forget at home like sandals and hats. Overall a nice visual park which is pleasant.
I really enjoyed this place. It was crowded beyond belief but I can understand because it was Canada Day. I am genuinely impressed with the upgrades they've made to the little water park area. It seemed much cleaner than what I remember. Aside from some parents not watching their children properly, I enjoyed my time there. My daughter seemed to love it too. The historical buildings were also a sight to see. I just wish they didn't get ride of the animals.
Best place for picnic with family. Baseball, soccer and tennis facilities are there.cycling lovers can enjoy on the long trails.
Big, clean park. Great for dogs as they have a massive dedicated (fenced) area where they can run around and enjoy themselves without interfering with the other visitors to the park. The playgrounds can definitely be improved/updated, but good enough (when the park isnt busy that is). The water park/area is definitely a good addition and the kids love it. Wish the petting area was still around though.
Great for kids, two playgrounds, splash pad, historical museum and ample playing fields.
Great park to spend a day with the kids
This park is so amazing because of it's location, greenery, trails, dog park, play area and water splash pad. My daughters love this park for a mini family picnic.
Very clean park, currently bbqs are allowed! And has a wonderful walking trail
Birthday celebration with family and friends. Good, clean and well kept space. Depending on how far in you are there'll be a little trek to the restrooms. Otherwise a very good place for an afternoon of fun, food and games in a great space.
Went here last week with friends and it was a great time! There's a lively, bustling yet welcome energy to the place. Lots of exercise devices to work up a sweat, scenic paths to walk down and even a nice little pond with benches. If I'm ever in Scarborough again soon I'll be sure to drop by!
We visited the dog area of the park.. and was impressed with the size and facility.. there were sections for small and big size dogs.
Only been to the dog park section. Wow what a great park with good people. I take my guy there every chance I get. Drinking fountain Separate section for big dogs small dogs and older dogs
Very busy, not enough parking. $100 if you guys are ticketed. Stay away from this place. Nothing good to see.
Walked here 3 am new years day right after the stroke of midnight was out there enjoying the lights forestry. Always a great place for gathering, biking, working out etc. A stream, many pathways and a lot of open space. Washrooms available. Lots of free parking available
Nice grounds however parking is a nightmare.
This is the park. This is where you wanna be with a gaggle of kids. Historical museum, good splash pad. Trails. Good playground. BBQs.
The dog park is great. Best dog park in the city that I've been to. They just need to fix the water fountain so the pups can drink
A beautiful park with long trails, picnic bar-b-q spots, nice parking, kids play zone, water sprinkle and so much more.
An amazing park for the summer break! Lots of shade and children water parks. Public washrooms are available too
We take our puppy to the dog park here, really like this place. They have partitions for dogs of different sizes which is a huge plus. The grass is well maintained in the dog park. The only down side is that there are no lights in the dog park area so it's difficult to stay after it's dark. Overall a very nice park especially for the dogs.
The park itself is very nice but there is always a shortage of parking so I avoid going there on a weekend. It has a water park, a museum, a playground, a zoo and picnic areas. If you are lucky to find a parking spot, you should definitively visit this park.
It's beautiful and spacious. The playground is clean and well maintained. The splash pad is cute and fun. It's the perfect place to spend a summer day!
We go usually into the dog park. My dog loves it. It is huge, has shade and fresh water. The other part of the park is nice, rarely clean (after weekends there is more garbage everywhere), and there is a lot of things to do for the whole family.
Very good for walk. Dedicated space for dogs is also good
Great park in th city!
My employer has used this park & facilities to hold staff team-building events annually (excluding this pandemic year). It’s a great escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Many mature trees with huge canopies to plant yourself under and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
An unbelievable culinary experience .The food and service were spectacular. The meals were well priced .I highly recommend this restaurant for fine dining.
Great place to barbeque, play sports, or even go for a walk in the park! However the public washrooms now close at 8pm due to the stay-at-home order in effect.
Big, lots of parking, got a waterpark, a historical museum, and it's just a really big nice park. The washroom was well kept last time I went too.
Its a really park and it has lots of fun things to do like a bike path a swamp? A dog park water park a park a big field and a big walking area the icecream truck comes daily
Always a blast. Been coming for almost 40 years, watched the park change many years. Miss the petting zoo though and the ponds.
Dog park is huge. Not usually crowded. Kept clean
Not enough parking. Try to avoid going during holidays. Dog park is sectioned off depending on the size of the dog. Perfect for dog owners.
This park is maintained so well. Such a big park with lot of activities and fun into it. I really appreciate the management for preserving the park ????
Plenty of trails for walking, running, cycling and walking your dog. Has a huge dog park with several off leash pens for different sizes of dogs.
The park is very well-preserved, looked after and looks beautiful to spend time visiting for leisure here.
They had walking contraptions so you can get exercise moving on the spot. Also an ice cream truck comes serving icecream with dip or slushies
Thompson Memorial Park is a great place to take a family for a picnic, or simply to go for a walk. On an average day, it's quite nice there. When there's an event being held there, such as Ribfest, it becomes an altogether nicer place. It's conveniently located; large; accessible via main routes; and I believe that it even accommodates barbeques.
This is one of the best Scarborough park to have some fresh air with friends n family. Great place for summer BBQ. Fun zone for kids. Easily accsible by TTC (Brimley and Lawrance). Lots free parking.
The ranger is not very nice but it's good for BBQ ' S and to take a walk. There is a park for your kids. They also have baseball and soccer games you can watch.
Great place to enjoy both nature and manmade with big family and friends, also well maintained and clean environment for all. Visit the park and see for yourself but remember after doing BBQ and partying clean up and let keep the place clean as we found it ????
This is always an excellent place to relax and spend the day with family and friends. Plenty of open space to play sports and a recent new addition of bikes to ride around. Enjoy the icecream from the truck at the parking lot. Plenty of play areas for the kids and lots of shady trees to picnic under.
Great large park for walks, playgrounds, and museum. Highly recommend to get out of the house. Also common place where they host rib fest every year.
The girls had a great time. The park has something for everyone. Went during the week so it was not to busy.
Nice park. Nice trail throug park and lots of room to picnic or take the kids. Dig park is well maintained but like any dog park this one draws a few people who don t under social interaction between dogs. I have leashe up my dog and left due to some aggressive dogs. No injury was done to my dog but some people who go here don t correct their dogs bad behavour
Very big place for family parties, birthday parties and water splash play for kids.
Great park. It's a good size so lots of places to explore, especially the historical house. There is also a soccer field, tennis court and a wading pool for kids.
It's a very big park with picnic spots and has natural scenic spots too. You can enjoy with your friends and family. Ideal place for kids.they also arrange fire works on Canada day
One of the largest and well maintained parks I have visited in Toronto. Has large parking spots, but is usually fully filled up by noon time. There are some large picnic tables, play area for kids, a large splash pad and some trails around. Glad to discover this quite at the centre of Scarborough.
Very beautiful park. Usually very crowded. Limited parking. Water park & play ground for kids as well.
We enjoy tobogganing here in the winter and having picnics in the summer. There is a long bike path to take and lots of picnic areas. If u wish to book the picnic spot with a roof over your head, grab a permit. There’s also a nice playground for kids. There’s a tennis court as well as outdoor exercise equipment/structures. We also go to the rib fest and other summer events here. Our fave thing to do though is taking our dog at the off leash park. It’s huge!!! Lots of space to run around. Lots of other dogs to socialize with. There’s a section specifically for smaller dogs. Finally, this park is not hard to find at all but if you walk along the paths, u can have some privacy as you wish.
Lots of green spaces for family picnics three separate dog size parks absolutely an amazing park splash pad picnic tables it's a wonderful wonderful plan to take anybody there
So nice to walk thru and enjoy being outdoors, the mature trees ,lily pads, ducks, trails and benches. This park is maintained with pride.
Large, clean and many sites and things to do. Ribfest happens once a year, a must.
The dog park is the reason I visit this park. The dog park is huge and has separated area for different size dogs. Plenty of parking on a regular day. However looking for parking can be difficult when there is events on site.
A great place to take the family. Enjoy the open spaces, walking trails, splash pads, playground and picnic areas. Parking is available free of charge. Public washrooms onsite.
Ribfest...excellent ribs and sides whether you go for cornbread, potato, beans, corn etc. Good live entertainment (Elvis is in the house), small midway and rides for kids. In general Thomson Park is great for a walk, jog barbecue or bringing the kids to the playground or splashpad. Large open spaces are great for tossing a frisbee or ball. Great local green space.
Good place for walk, exercise and kids
One of the greatest park! It has a lot space for parking and great service!
Today's high is 13℃. Nice day with cool breeze. It's closed to city but quiet enough to be out from the business. Lots of trees and shades to get away from the sun but there's also many picnic tables for people sit under the warmth as well. There's playground structures for children to hop on and off. Lots of grassland for young children to roll and lie around. Biking and in line skating are two popular sports, too. Parking is adequate enough for busy hot summer days as well.
A piece of Paradise in the city, what a gem! Had no idea the beautiful & peaceful ravine trail went so far, saw a stunning blue heron + sweet deer & many birds. Beautiful spot, truly a treat for anyone who loves nature. ????????????
Super place for all ages, lots of greenery, excellent splash pad for kids, humangoys parking space (but it was difficult today on June 27-2021). Beware of parking enforcement. Huge place for volley ball courts, exclusive tennis park, 2 big washrooms, ice cream can are some other features. Adults can play whatever they can. Children have another separate space with see-saw, swing, slide etc., Big sunflower ???? plants too
Beautifully maintained park. Must visit for cycling, long walks
There's lots of space to walk around, with a splash pad, playground and fitness areas. It has multiple bathrooms and picnic areas. There's lots of shade, and in the summer Ribfest is held there.
Canada Day activities were fun for everyone. Museum treats; train rides; walking trails all operational. Lots of room for everyone. Only glitch - public water fountains?
This is a colossal natural area. It has paved trails, lush lawns, ravines, and various types of trees, shrubs, and bushes. It, also, provides a natural habitat to numerous terrestrial and aquatic birds. Additionally, there is a huge children playground and splash pad to keep children busy and amused. To our surprise, we saw a couple of mini falls on the walkway that leads to Mccowan road. The water falls from 3 - 4 foot height with a roaring sound. (Please watch the video.) The Thomson Memorial Park is intended for trail users and picnickers. There are plenty of tables for families to enjoy their food, and some covered picnic areas for large groups; the picnic areas need to be reserved in advance. The parking lot near the entrance is huge and free. On a Friday evening, many spots were empty, so we had no problem parking our car. The washrooms, near the entrance, were clean and air conditioned.
Excellent evening outing place. Invariably football and baseball ⚾ are on with flood lights. Superb walking and jogging area. Five ???? very less.
Nice path to walk in, you can stay within the park or walk on the path between the residential surroundings. Park has a play ground exercise equipment for free body movements, slash pad and doggy park. Enjoy
Huge park, lots of trails specially for Bikes. Number of Outdoor fitness equipments available around the park.
This is truly a gem in Scarborough. I grew up going to this park and although the petting farm is gone now and the park updated it brings back lots of lovely memories of pickniks. There is also an off leash dog park on the south end if the park near the hydro fields which is lovely.
Great park, can get very busy so get there early for parking!
Neighborhood park with kids playground and water splash, easy trails around
This park looks so vast and it's quite impressive. Consider even prolonging your walk via Ravine Park. What about the big transmission towers.. I don't dislike them, but of course, if you're looking for Yellowstone you might try going a little farther from the city. Dogs can stay unleashed within suitable rings
I loved this park we had picnic almost every evening when the weather permits. It is so big for any age group and activities. My kids bikes and call it "our park" and other kids say "it's their park"????❤????
Amazing. Just want to see soccer playing again????
Lots to see and discover. Great splash pad/water park and play park for the kids
Park is good, however, it's close to the power line. In addition, seems City worker is always there working on different things during week days. Almost every time, i encounter garbage trucks running through the park....
had a very joyfull moment at this park, very good for walking and playing games . has a small fountain where small children can take shower, good for cycling.. must come here, i used to visit every day during summer.
Love me some Thomson Park! Tons of space, lots of trails, beautiful baseball diamond and soccer field.
Very spacious the spot we got was great and everyone had a great time..will definitely go back before summer ends.
huge park. equipment for exercise and tennis courts and place for dog Walker. main park for family with kids....and middle of parke thomson house family museum. remain for visit
Amazing park! I have very fond and nostalgic memories of this park, ever since I was a kid.
Nice park for families. Usually pretty busy.
I've been to this park so many times. Great for picnics, walks, & biking. Playground and exercise areas available too. Toliet area needs an upgrade but nevertheless it's worth the visit.
Huge dog park for big dogs, four smaller dog parks for little dogs, training, old/infirm, etc.
The event's are great every year but it can be over crowded not enough space for parking could also reduce prices of items food games e see especially.nice park to hang out
Been coming to this park since 1961 when I was 8. Has not changed so much in this time. Really missed Canada Day and Ribfest this year. Great park.
A popular park with separate large and small dog unleashed areas.
It's my favorite park to go to plus jt has workout area ! Wow u gotta love that specially now with gyms closed
Such a lovely park with good walking paths, very nice places to sit and enjoy the scenery. It's clean and well maintained. A great place to visit!
Good parking facility, multiple dog parks, big play area, children will love this place because of kids zone. You can spend quality time here irrespective of the age.
Ribfest Thompson Memorial great time great people great music had a blast
Scarborough Rib Fest is great for families, especially ones who enjoy BBQ ribs.
Good place for family gathering. Kids have more options to enjoy their times.
Nice park lots of shade and trees. Nice trail to go for walks has playground for kids to play and BBQ area that can booked in advance for events (not right now due to covid but normally)
Very crowded, parking issues , other than that it's a nice place
Big park lots of parking. Lots of gazebos for bbqs and picnics. Nice trails to walk through. Splash pad and jungle gym for the little ones.
The City has made a lot of improvements in the playground. They added more benches and picnic tables. There are more options for kids activities.
Great place for picnics, walks and bike rides. They have a splash pad area for kids. You must go early to find parking otherwise you'll have to park on the road or a residential street!
Beautiful , spacious, space for BBq, children area, water splash for children, children area. Very much suitable for family outing.
It's a great place to go in Scarborough especially if you have a dog because included in this park is also a dog park, it's a huge area where you can organize family events or just take a stroll through the park or watch various games off sports that go on there
Too busy, barely able to find a parking, too crowded, terrible washrooms... the list goes on
This park is perfect for family outings and biking and jogging. It has multiple Trails for walking that are even suitable for disabled vehicles and strollers. There are lots of shell shelters for picnics in case it rains.
Big area. Good for events, has to be booked in advance for barbecue and other functions
Unleashed dog park available here
I was born and raised in Scarborough with this park being a huge part of my childhood. Its beatifully maintained and if you have and concerns you can call 311 and they will attend to it within 48hrs. I mostly go to use thr dog park which i feel is 1 of the best in the city. They have 5 different sections to accommodate certain sized dogs and energy. I have one negative thing to say...to the male and femal dog walkers who have approx 15 dogs at once and us them to bully other people out of an area...i feel you are selfish and many other things i wont say in this post. I have spoke with other dog owners where they feel the same way. Please be considerate of others.
Great Park for walks, lots of space for bday parties or bbq, great watersplash park for the kids, even has a mini petting farm. Great Park, depending on what's going on lots of parking.
Great park but its quality has deteriorated over time. I still really enjoy biking through this park in the summer months as it offers a long bike path/trail which is easily accessible from different main roads. The park itself is decently sized and contains a soccer field, baseball diamond, picnic areas, BBQs, a museum, a dog park and more. However, the park has become overcrowded, loud and people don't seem to care about the well being of the park itself or other visitors. Often times you'll find litter on the ground even though there are tons of garbage bins spread out throughout the park. In the summer, you'd be very lucky to find a picnic table/BBQ since the park gets extremely busy. Additionally, people don't seem to respect the bike path/walking paths. They end up standing in the middle of them to socialize, spread out across both lanes as they walk and don't seem to want to move out of your way. The visitors of this park have become more ignorant and it can be frustrating at times. However, one good thing is that it is the home of Scarborough's Rib Fest and this has been the case for many years. It becomes a huge attraction during this time which is nice to see for Scarborough locals, however, as mentioned it gets very busy and with people who don't seem to mind your personal space. Decent park but could be better if the patrons smartened up.
Good kids play area and walk with family.
Great off leash park for all sizes and aggression. With 4 different fences in areas you can choose the environment and company best suited for your pup.
Excelent location to visit with your family, specially if you have kids
Love the park, great place to walk and explore. It's great for family picnic. It has a park and water park.
A very large park, lots of trees for shade, and this particular weekend, lots of people. It has a very nice size splash pad for kids and play area with swings and slides which my son enjoyed very much. It's wonderful to see lots of people and children enjoying themselves outdoors after a year of not being able to do much due to the pandemic. We had a great time with our friends.
This park in Scarborough is a lovely place to spend the day. Its great for a picnic or for playing sports. There's also a great splash pad for the kids to cool off on a hot day with tables nearby to sit. The Scarborough museum is also located here. There's plenty of parking and the park also hosts events from time to time such as the Scarborough Ribfest.
This place has a great Waterpark and park. Unfortunately it gets super busy at this location so it can get crowded. The good thing is the park is pretty big so there is lots of space for people to have spot of their own. There is a public bathroom not too far from parking lot entrance.
Clean park and good size with a baseball diamond and soccer field. The south side has a dog park.
They have one of the biggest dog parks with multiple sections for large dogs, small dogs, quiet dogs, and even an alone section. The dog park is grassed and the area is well taken care of. The people and dogs are generally very friendly.
I love the spacious parking and the amount of space available to the public
Once splash pad. Would of liked for park to have rubber instead of sand. A lot of land to have picnics.
So clean ,the best for picnic place so peacefull, washrooms are clean,
Good park but always packed. Parking is also always full. I mean there are free spots but park is very popular.
Beautiful park. Love coming here. Lots of bike paths and walking trails. There is even a splash pad and dog park.
Great park. Multiple things to do. Yo can BBQ there is a water park for kids and and playground. Great for walks. A free outdoor work out equipment. Great for family outing.
Amazing park for kids and adults! Always having a blast! The splash pads area is everything! ????
nice big park, nice for a walk or even for a jog, a lot of space to bbq and have a group of people with you, big fields to kick a soccerball around or throw a football, its kept clean.. dont go too late at night though, raccoons and bats and such.
Nice park in the city good walking/bike paths.
It's amazing park . Really when I get there I enjoy
Pretty nice park in a very good location. Very good If you just want a quiet rest on the ground and have small talk with friends
Lovely place to visit along with your family and friends. Can barbecue, set up a small picnic or just go about hiking along the trails that look quiet like forest at some parts. Very picturesque and their washroom is also very clean and maintained.
Very nice place. I enjoyed it
Great park for families and children. Lots of memories here growing up. They also have a dog park for bog small and large dogs. Please watch your dogs while here!
Great dog park. Super friendly humans.
Really like this place, big parking lots, also big park! The off leashes park had divided into three, one being large dog and one medium and last small. So this way dog owner like me with a toy size poodle will feel safe with our puppy in the off leashes areas and won’t have too worry about big dog attacking small size dogs! Each park very spacious and peoples here are very nice. My dog really enjoys here and definitely will go back! Just to update on this park, they do have kids playground and seems to me in the summer they also have a small water splashing area. This park is so big, great for walks and some family even come here to barbecue and picnics.
Love the water splash pad and playground in the summer time. Kids enjoy watching dogs running in the nearby dog park too.
Great trails for walking and biking. Dog park is pretty massive too. The actual trails could be wider since you're always getting out of the way of bicyclists though.
Best dog park in the City by far! They have three areas, one for large dogs, one for small and one for older or easily frightened dogs. Large spaces, clean, grass covered, always furry friends to play with. Check it out!
Nice place to spend time with loved ones. Toronto of city need to look at the sewerage system inside the park that overflows and gives pungent smell.
Nice park for kids specially .
Nice and well maintained park. Smelling sewers manholes. Need stacks to release gases somewhere up in the air.
Was there for the very first time Yesterday! Only seen the splash pad. It was a lot of fun! Quick questions...I want to have my daughter's 3rd birthday their so I was just wondering...do I have to pay to have a little party there? And do I have to bring my own charcoal for the BBQ?
Beautiful area to sit and relax or even walk and play sports. There is plenty of shady areas and the property is well kept. There is the Scarborough Museum on the property as well.
Always some friendly dog owners at the park. Very FEW rude people stand out, but I need to stress they are few and far in between. Weekends can get a little crazy, I've heard. Otherwise a nice place to bring your dog. The bike trail is nice in the Summer too.
A very large park with Splash pads and a children's parkette. Great place for family picnics/bbqs.
Good place for outdoor activities. Free parking spaces. You can walk, jog, ride your bicycle, have family picnic etc. It also has water spring and playground for kids. There is a separate dog park too.
Very nice and clean place for a nice walk, this is probably one of the only park left that have garbage cans everywhere and I think that’s why the place is pretty clean, highly recommend!!!
Thompson park is enjoyable for my dogs and us. We like too hiking on the trails. They like the doggie park but more so the trails. It will b even better when the agility course is finished.
Great place to laze around and spend your weekends. One can barbeque, play football, baseball or tennis, or simply walk for hours in this huge park.
It's a nice park. Lots of parkings which is really good. The waterpark is also nice. But watch out for coyotes. They have a few towards the back of the park closer to the trees in the back. Specially if you have young babies or small dogs. We came across one one day. Overall a nice place to come in Scarborough.
It's a wonderful spot for picnicking I the summer time. The park is always full during the summer months with baseball games in the evening and picnickers, bikers and joggers throughout. In the winter this park will have some people going for long walks along PanAm trail that cuts through the park. This place I also great for viewing wildlife such as birds and deer throughout the season. One of the best parks in Scarborough
Great place to spend the day having a picnic or tossing a frisbee. The park is very large with several gazebos, picnic benches and barbecues. Also water parks for the kids. Always well maintained and surrounded by main streets if you need to go to the store or any other amenities
This site holds a wonderful remembrance of my grandfather whose direct family settled this area. His name is Goldwin Closson Thomson born January 23,1902 who married Ann Doris Marshall. He took me to the white farm house in 1968 and I recall it was a Provincial Historical Site with a placard and exact wording I can no longer recall. I do recall him researching the family’s lineage back to William and Mary Thomson in 1835 and made a family tree mounted in a nice picture frame. I inherited it among other family artifacts after he passed away but it has unfortunately been destroyed in the California Camp Fire on November 8, 2018 along with photo albums, my only link to the past memories. My middle name is Thomson and I proudly include it in all personal business. I was fortunate to be in the US Navy aboard a destroyer that made a NATO North Atlantic cruise and our first port of call was Edinburg, Scotland. I visited the Registrars Office and traced the family tree back to roughly 800 AD. William Thomson had been an Accountant there prior to the voyage to North America. There was a photo of the Thomson Castle remains outside of Edinburg approximately 35-Km with a stone floor surviving. I will monitor the Thomson Memorial Park website and give them a call at the number listed this week of June 13, 2021. Anyone interested in corresponding can reach my email and phone number if they allow it to be posted. Cheers to All, Neal T. Kuopus
Soo beautiful there.. large splash pad.. you can BBQ!!! Beautiful pond. Water fall. Trails. They have 4 off leash sog parks. For various sizes. One of them just for small dogs.. they had a great park lots of swings.. Expercise section for adults.. 2 large parking lots.. we had such a wonderful time
Lots of parking. Modernized play and outdoor exercise equipment. Has a very large leash free dog zone.
Big dog park and a lot of short trials to walk through. There is a long trial that connects to other parks in the city.
Busy on Sunday. Hard to get parking if you go after 12 noon
Very spacious, clean and well-maintained park. RIBFEST is absolutely a must at-least once a year.
Great splashpad for kids, lots of grassy area for picnics. Beware of bugs under shade trees though.
Great park for a family outing. Heritage home tour. Kids playground and splash pad Even has dog park area.
Always a great park for a leisurely (or not so leisurely) walk, wander, people-watch. Lots going on these days with families picnicking. Now there's also a TO bikeshare dock which is great, central Scarborough has been shut out of these until now so I'm happy to see this addition!
Usually go for walks through this park. Very peaceful and enlightening!
Good place to walk run bbq play in tennis courts and feed the animals.
Nice park with a good trail to hike
Nice park and walking trail. They have public tennis courts, too!
Paved trail from Brimley to Markham road that runs along the river. Lots of parking available. Washrooms are open, warm and clean.
It's my first visit there,,,on it was so amazing...it's nice place to be!!!
This park is very beautiful and huge with a splash pad for those hot summer days, but bit on the busy side.
Better than it was 10 years ago lol. So many upgrades its amazing nature space.. its our new go to park forever
Great park. Nice and clean, it gets really crowded where you can't find parking
My favourite park when i was a kid and they had a petting zoo.
Nice big park. You can take a long walk, BBQ, play grounds and water fountain for kids. The dogs have their sides too.
Lovely park with something for everyone
Nice place for get togethers with family and friends. Peaceful, well maintained and a place to relax. Hope it stays that way.
The workers who cleaned the grounds are very helpful and ready to help us when called. August 15th was an example when we arrived there at 9am, the area we were at was a bit messy, a gentleman was sighted cutting the grass, we called him to cleaned up our area, he did so willingly and courteously. Thank you.
Very clean washrooms Park is the best in Scarboro
Very large park, great amenities. But it is rundown, playgrounds and structure are old. The park would benefit from upgrades.
A family park, kids playground, water park and trails to walk and hike.
Clean, quiet, and relaxing park. You can enjoy nature and the beauty!! Great for kids to play and run around (Lots of grass, 3 playgrounds). It good for exerciser as it has baseball and soccer facilities... Well kept and lots of big trees and grass for an outdoor picnic. Great for BBQ
I really don't know who she is but she work for the park she is so hot. woman I hope you are single you are so cute you have your hair coloured and I love the way you cut the grass????
Update: Updating this cause I saw quite a few incredibly urbanized squirrels that would walk right up to you for food. Also, almost got run over by an adolescent deer charging through the park. Been there a few times and have never experienced that before. Didn't know deer was that far in the city. Hopefully it and those that saw it are fine. Original: Large open park with a stream running through it. Walking trails, plenty of tables, covered picnic areas you can reserve, a playground and some exercise equipment. A museum that's closed during the pandemic, and facilities like washrooms. A decent sized free parking lot and lots of bridge and wooded area to explore. Some sewage or storm water vents asking paths, so some areas smell. This place usually has a lot of big events. The trails lead you further and further, so go only as far as you feel like backtracking if you have to return for your car.
Had a wonderful time at the splash pad with my niece and great niece. It was clean and the water was cold it was refreshing in the 38c temp.
It's a good place for picnics and good for a walk and climbing the grassed mounds . There is also a old style cottage where they teach how life was back then. They have scones and tea and activities for children .There's also a splash pad good for sun bathing. And there's a playground for children.
Perfect for a walk, also a great picnic spot. My son loves the splash pad there. Very clean!
It was a beautiful evening for a walk through the park. The nature paths were awesome and the kids enjoyed riding their bikes through the trails. Bug spray is recommended.
Ribfest was good, always very packed though. The dog parks are elaborate but beautiful and enjoyable for all dogs and owners alike. The water park is great for families and there is shade in many places for sun protection and family BBQ/picnics. The grounds are well maintained and vast
Don't miss to hang around Thomson Park if you are in Scarborough.Even in harsh winter, you can have fun and get closure to nature. It is very crowded and popular picnic spots in summer.I love to go there.
Great place to host celebrations with family and friends. For new comers, Scarborough museum is a fantastic place to learn how people lived centuries ago. Sweets were offered by the employees at Scarborough museum which is commendable.
Awesome. Nice walking around. Hidden totem pole
Very beautiful. Especially for picnic with family , for photo shoots. Really big park .
Great outdoor gym park. ????????
Well manicured park in Scarborough. Lots of activities that could be done in the park there are soccer, volleyball, tennis & baseball fields. Also, there is rides for children, water splash and barbequeing is allowed. Washrooms are relatively clean. The only disappointment for me is lack of parking space.
One of the best family park in scarborough. Free entrance, free parking and multiple public washrooms. With children play area, water fountains, dogs unleash compound, huge trees, a forest a calm river and picnic areas. No restrictions on bbq with gas or charcoal.
Great water park and playground for the kids. Large dog parks sectioned for ages of dogs. (How cute) travel back in time to visit Thompson's homestead with demonstrations, activities, and information all for a small donation.
Is there a better park than Thomson Memorial Park in Scarborough? I don't think so! This huge park is a gem. It has something for everyone - dog area, picnic tables, trails for bikers, playgrounds, water park, tons of grass... its perfect! :)
Love it there. It's now my home dog park. Lots of options. They have 5 dog parks. I use the small dog park area. Its clean and has a working fountain for water. I bring my own but it's a great option. Lots of parking also.
Nice splash pad area. Perfect for kids !
Nice spacious park. People at the museum were very nice and gave us a tour of the buildings. Felt bad that their donation jar was not available as it had been broken and not yet replaced so could not give them a donation. Scones and jam were freshly made and simply delicious.
Great park, great trails and lots of activities and diverse things to do year round.
The park is a great place grass well kept but the people left the place fility when they see picnic they need to be charge for littering
Just a regular park with trails for jogging or leisurely strolls. Pet-friendly too. Very green and quite busy in the summer. Nice place for viewing glorious sunsets.
Good walking paths & a large parking lot . Good for fresh air & some exercise
The museum is incredibly interesting, like going back in time. We love having family picnics here in summer and the kids enjoy the splash park.
It is a beautiful place to rest and walk, has many pinic tables. It's so nice ????????
Best place to do BBQ and play Volleyball with your family and friends. It's a very good idea to take your kids to play in the waterfront and other activities.
Always an amazing time at the park..... I went for this years rib festival in August and it was an awesome turnout.... the vendors were decent and the food was unforgettable.... the prices were decentralized the line ups weren’t to terrible..... sitting in Thompson park while hearing live music playing and eating under a tree was so peaceful .....the park is always clean and well groomed and washroom are always made ready .... I can’t wait to return
We take our daily walk here. Love it!!!
Especially during the rise of the 2nd wave of Covid, great to see everyone social distancing and having a ball during this nice weather... Can't wait until the trees turn colour!
We like coming here often. My son loves it and it’s very spacious for families. It’s usually quite busy though which is the only reason I took off a star. Great dog park too!
Nice park to enjoy go for walks and enjoy the warm weather with family and friends with barbecues and sporting events.
Had a great time with my family
Great off leash dog park. Plenty of dogs around. Different sections including smaller fenced off area for more one-on-one training and playing. Clean Lots of garbage bins around for easy poop disposal Friendly people
Great place to go for a bike ride or to just work out...
Lots of space to do lots of things. Plus they have private picnic areas, just make sure you have a permit.
Great place to bring kids. At least two playgrounds and a water park so there's lots for kids to do. The Scarborough Museum located at the park is an awesome place to learn about the lifestyle back in the 1800s.
Always fun visits to this park. Took my dog to the off leash park right by it and had a blast. Lots of friendly dogs and lots of room for the pups to let loose. 4 separate parks in case your dog isn't good with lots of other dogs
A beautiful park in the heart of Scarborough. Lots of trails for walking or biking. Large splash pad for the kiddies in summer as well as a petting zoo! Two playgrounds! Large covered picnic sites for large groups. Lots of free parking. The Scarborough Historical museum is always open and runs day camps during the summer. Annual Canada Day celebrations and Rib Fest on the August long weekend. I love this place!!
Good space, well maintained. On weekday, City Employees always doing work there collecting garbage, cutting grass etc. Is it necessary to do work there are all the time
Love this dog park always lots of fun for the dogs and separate areas for different sizes
Great space for picnics and relaxing during the summer. Love going there for family gatherings. Has a huge parking lot with alot of spaces. One of the best places for picnics in Scarborough!!

Great park with well kept trail, caterpillars kept falling from the trees made the picnic difficult but interesting. Even say a few dear along the trail
Free parking It was crowded but was clean and has good washroom facilities
