Nice place to do ice skate and still practice social distancing.
Very beautiful.. Serenity.. Peace.. Lake views Beach views.. Trails Amazing experience
Nice windy and cold walk today. The sandy beach is clean and soft. The other side (behind) of the beach is the marsh where you can walk for a clearer view. Quite scenic altogether.
This used to be a great place but unfortunately it's still flooded ????
Nice beach. Unfortunately BBQ is not allowed
Beautiful place with city's efforts making long nice walkway. Ideal for walking and cycling. One of my favorites.
This is whay you really not expect in the city senario. Nice place for biking, walking, fishing and also for family gathering. Limited parking.
Nice place for a picnic, swim, bike, walk and fish.
Nice place for strolling, fishing, cycling, and some great lakeside views.
Amazing place to spend an evening alone or with your family. You can take a walk, walk your pet, go fishing, cycle or just stare at the endless water????
Beautiful place. Good for swimming, sand bathing, and fishing. The only lack is parking.
Outstanding urban park!! Great walks all seasons.
In my opinion it is a best place for swimming and chill, suggested ????????????
Went there today, its was very nice park, there is long trail for people to hike. Many people were fishing there. Maybe it was just me but many beach water have that green algae or something. Other than that it was a very nice view.
Amazing beach.. Great view... don't miss to go for a walk in this lovely place
A great place to stroll with the family. You can swim, do fishing, play volleyball and much more.
Great place to take a walk along Lake Ontario.
Such a beautiful spot right at the edge of Toronto. Love exploring the trails and walking up the bridge.
Amazing family beach near Toronto Nice sandy beach But very limited parking space ...specially during weekends
I love walking the beach path and seeing the wild life around the river. Morning strolls and friendly people.
It's beautiful, especially i like the long board walk along the lake, it's so peaceful "Port Union Waterfront Park features nearly 4km of lakefront trail from the mouth of Highland Creek to Rouge River with views all the while. The area can be accessed from many different points including East Point Park to the west, /from Rouge Beach Park on the east /or through the pedestrian tunnel at the nearby Rouge Hill GO Station. "
We went to the park on a Friday in this Oct for a walk, it was very quiet and and beautiful along the lake ontario lakeshore, additionally, it has free access in middle of the city. Would like to come back if I will be in this area in the future.
Great place to escape to and not have to travel far to get closer to nature. If you plan on visiting, be sure to respect the environment and the enjoyment of others and put your garbage in the designated bins. This place has seen a huge influx of visitors in the past few months, and the amount of garbage being strewn about is dispicable.
One of my favorite places to hike, kayak, enjoy the beach and so on...
Great for a walk, or for skating or pond hockey once it freezes over. Bring a shot to clear the snow from the ice! Parking is always an issue, but spots free up quickly later in the afternoon.
It’s is a bit dirty and pretty crowded but so is everywhere else. So nice place overall.
Amazing place for Kayaking and fun place to enjoy the scenic and natural beauty of this place. Very calm and relaxing place. I often go there with my son to enjoy the walk on the beachside, bike riding and kayaking at rouge river, you can enjoy and have good time at both places, Rouge River and Lake Ontario beach and park. Wonderful place to spend the day here. Highly recommend.
Beautiful place to walk and leads to the port union Beach, nice views.
Nice for a quick walk and fishing but I would not swim here it is very dirty and the sand is filled with tree debris.
You can find quite spots if you go further west
A very wonderful place to go out for a picnic and enjoy the beach life
This park is unbelievable. The beach is so beautiful, the first time I went I was speechless. I went at different times of the day and it is just as beautiful at sunrise as it is at dawn. Despite the rocks in the lake I enjoyed swimming there. One day there were really huge waves and it was particularly fun. It's crazy that there are never that many people (or so it seemed).
One of my favorite lakeshore spot in GTA.... lakeshore, sand, fishing, walk by lakeshore, nice view...
Beautiful place for fishing ???? walking swimming on the beach ????️ of Lake Ontario, in winter time beauty of the view of snow Forest where you can see Canadian Snow geese singing and dancing on the ice.
Great place to visit with family and friends. Can have long walk in peaceful and quiet place.
Great place to take the family. Parking is far from the beach area and its limited. A steep hill to and from the over flow parking to the beach. Washrooms are renovated and cleanish.
Nice area for a walk.
Great view nice place for visit and fishing too.
Great little beach just 35 minutes from Toronto downtown. Parking lot space seemed enough based on a July Saturday afternoon. There is also street parking all across with ofcourse 3hour parking limit at per city bylaws. Nice sandy beach with clean water. Great place for kayaking, swimming, fishing, chilling on the beach.
Beautiful beach with ample parking space (three parking lots). A ground strip in the lake keeps high tides away from the shore...making it safe for visitors to play in the water.
So amazing to explore all year round especially local wildlife.
Lifelong Torontonian though I've never been to this part of the GTA quite thel surprise! Mind you we were only able to explore or discover a very small portion I would imagine there's many trips ahead of us to return to this wonderful place and discover that much more...very very family-friendly and quite nice natural scenery... ample parking by the way
What a beautiful park! Loved biking along there (although weekends are really busy and no one is paying attention). Lovely to go take photos or take a picnic, walk or bike. Highly suggest.
Beautiful place, weekdays are good for space, except for restrictions no bbq. Enjoy more by going on the week days.
A must visit place if you love exploring and walking
That's very beautiful but washroom was verrrrry dirty, it was not washroom, it was house of spiders ????
Nice place for a stroll by the lake front. There's plenty of critters and fish in the surrounding area too. Be cautious in the dark especially because the pathway doesn't have any streetlights. There is free parking, although they tend to get packed quickly, esp on busy days. The standing water by the Marsh area attracts mosquitos too. Plenty of look out points to sit on and gaze into the lake as well.
Great place just 15 min drive from STC and 60 min from Toronto
Theoretically this is a wonderful place. In practice it's more like an oppressive nanny-state. So much is off limits and dis-allowed. The 'Do Not' signs are huge lists of regulations designed to restrict movement and activity. It used to be wilderness but now it feels like your trespassing on private land. Calling it a park is a joke... it's more like a private estate that "allows" you to walk a trail or two.
Beautiful Scenic Pathway curving right alongside Lake Ontario. The Go Train sound startles you from time to time as it passes beside. Otherwise a great family-friendly location for a picnic and stroll!
Great place to take the family for the day to chill at the beach and walk the trail. Great place to fish, bike or roller skate. My favorite place to go on the weekends when I am not busy!
This park is absolutely gorgeous. Great place to fish, have a family bbq or simply enjoy the beach. Beach is clean for the most part but the area was flooded when we visited due to the heavy rains.
It is connected to water front trail so good to walk for a long distance.
Went there last Saturday with kids...it was not crowded as we wanted to avoid over crowded beaches ..it has a long trail along the beautiful lake side ..good for biking ..u get bikes on rent as well....we settled a bit inside of the park as there were even less people further up ... Washrooms need upgrade for sure.
It's 5 stars plus. It's gorgeous place for family day trip. You can see turtles, swans, white and grey/blue herons and many waterfowls in beautiful Rouge Marsh, as well as people fishing, swimming, canoeing and kayaking, hiking and biking. From the white bridge and lookout, you can see fantastic lakeview and rowing water way. It's great place for outdoor activities.
Very nice place to just chill out, swimming is allowed if you like cold water. People also do some fishing. Washroom available, however, my wife said inside was awful, in need of proper cleaning staff. But the people tht use it need to take more care and pride of our parks.
Beautiful place to walk. Great trail. Take the whole family there for the day adventure. Bring your bikes.
Beautiful place to go for a walk with your family and friends.
Wonderful walks along the shoreline with lots of birds, butterflies and wild flowers
A trail goes along the beach of the Lake Ontario to Rouge Park. Scenic and beautiful.
You definitely want to visit this place it's amazing it has a lot of attractions trails and front view of the lake perfect place to take your family.
A great attraction for families and individuals. You park your car and walk to the beach. Can spend the whole day there. There are adequate facilities but not a lot of catering options.
Great Beach, great trail to explore. Kayaking and hiking opportunities a plenty. Swamp land is full of birds and the valley has many access points to explore. Also a handy location to catch posing trains, heavy traffic through the park. Parking is hard to find, bring your bike!
The beach is BUSY on the weekend. Every nook and corner is occupied. But if you are looking for a little more quite, continue on the Water Front trail. There are not many places around where you can walk or bike kilometers with the lake always visible on one side. There are many places along the way to sit and take in the amazing sight of an endless blue Lake Ontario.
It’s a second time here. Last time we walked from Scarborough East Park to here. This time we parked the car in this area to walk further and explore more of the waterfront trail. It is a bit crowded, and you will not find parking nearby, but you can’t complain. We parked in the residential area, and it was a short walk to the beach. We headed out on a clear day, but it started working raining, so we had to cut short the trip. Still, we were to cross the petticoat conservation area and a mesmerizing bridge. We ended the journey at the butterfly park.
Best lake front in GTA to have picnic. Shallow beach, easy access. Fishing, Canoeing, Swimming, Walking, Cycling, BBQ
You will want to see this in Winter. Cold but iced lake and the sand/snow are a sight to see.
Rouge National Urban Park is a wonderful park on the east side of the GTA. We visited during one of the coldest times in winter. The river froze over and many many people cleared up skating rectangles on the ice and were happily ice skating on the river. We had tons of fun. Looking forward to visiting during the warmer season.
This Park is in its early stage of development, but it will someday be a great park. An active transportation connection from N to S is needed to connect Northern sections of park to the Water Front Trail. Photo is myself doing Google Trekking for Google's Street View. I'm beside AT bridge over Rouge River.
Rouge National Park is a great place to take the family. If you go for a hike, there are many trails. …
Very excellent but closed place due to high water
Beautiful urban park in Toronto! Situated on the lake with long walks heading both east and west, plus a nice beach. The parking is limited and gets busy during peak hours.
Lovely place to go for a walk. The waterfront trail is always beautiful year round.
Lot of people fishing and swimming. Great place for the whole family.
if you could go in the morning then that's the best time to see beautiful sky.
My fave beach in the city. Water is not as cold and it's really clear. The trail is gorgeous!
We visited the Rouge Beach Park section on the waterfront (Lake Ontario) where you can join the Waterfront Trail and walk to your hearts content. Lots of geese of course, but also numerous other waterfowl such as Bufflehead ducks. If you are able, highly recommend a sunrise visit as that can be spectacular. Parking is free but can be limited on weekends especially if the gate is closed to the lower lot. As it is a national park we display our annual park pass when in the lower lot.
Gorgeous. Went in the winter. Completely different sight compared to summer.
Great park, Fantastic view.
Had a nice nighttime ride to here. They were closed, but it was a nice photo op.
Amazing beach close to Toronto. Beautiful lake view. Long beach to walk around and enjoy.
The views during sunset are mesmerising. Being such a large park, the Rouge has many points of entry. From central Toronto use highway 401. Toronto public transit and Go trains also access the park. It’s also possible to cycle and do fishing in the Rouge.
Great park for cycling and walking, beautiful waterfront trails around. Rough Beach is not very clean( All washrooms are open right now. There are a few parking lots here.
We hike the waterf not trail and end at this park. Every evening has a different skyscape - really nice park
I have visited this place two weeks ago. Good for fishing and see view. Wash rooms are not clean. Be careful with your parking. Very often police towe the cars. There is a go train line back of see view. For a evening gathering you will definitely like the place.
The beach is nice but the water is little murky it being adjacent to marsh land, nonetheless you will see people fishing, kayaking and swimming in water. The sunset view to lotus filled water is so captivating that you will stay at a place until dark. The walking trail is long enough for kids and adults to sweat and rest with regular gentle nudge from GO train chug which keeps you awake. All the nearby parking lots are free and big to accommodate.
I liked the beach, the water was warm.
Great place for a light walk. We chose this place to go as it wasn't as crowded as most popular places during COVID. The sunset is beautiful to see here. Adequate parking is available as well.
Always love to visit. Especially at a sunny warm day.
Great beach. Good fishing spots as well. Canoe and kayak rentals available. Good 4K walk if you are bored at the beach.
Beautiful waters and a nice walking path suitable for bikes and strollers. There is a parking lot close to the trail. The gate to the parking lot area closes at 9pm
This park has always been a favourite to visit during the summer. There is lots of parking (which has been reduced since the bottom parking got flooded due to the lake). Trails are always nice by the water and it's typically clean. Lots of …
A really nice lake view, beautiful scenery, it is very clean and looked after!
I have loved this place since I was a child. Nice walking paths, a big beach, and opportunity to see lots of waterfowl. Usually this place is packed in the summer, but it's quiet the rest of the year. Watch out for broken glass and used condoms, as this tends to be a gathering spot for local teens.
Nice park to see the Lake
I recently discovered this place. I always went to the lake for walks and to pray but never ventured to the beach. I was pleasantly surprised! This is going to be my new go to place after a busy day at work for some rest and relaxation. Yes there's ample parking closer to the beach. Just note the gates close at 9:00pm sharp. There's also parking outside of the gates. You can fish, swim, walk, run, skate board, roller stake and bike or walk the dogs on the path. If you're adventurous then take the path up on the bridge. Just keep it clean when you visit!
Really beautiful views here! There are spots for fishing and a nice boardwalk. There is also a nice path along the lakefront. It’s nice and peaceful on weekdays with not a lot of people. There aren’t a lot of trees so be careful on sunny days, although there are spots where they provide free sunscreen. Overall, a great place to go for a walk, bike ride, or to just sit and relax and enjoy nature.
Nice quite place. Beautiful water. Good place to think and enjoy the sound of water and to take a brisk walk. Can bring ur bicycle as well. It's cold when I went but good place in summer. U can enjoy the beautiful blue water while sitting on a Sandy beach.
Beautiful beach, haven't visited the park/trails yet. Difficult getting parking, but if you are local, check the public transit. Careful while checking the location on Google map as if you select Rouge river, it will take you to some residential area!!
This place looks beautiful all year round
As a fisherman, I can tell you from experience that this park is very accessible to fish at. There’s no need of walking through the woods or crossing streets. …
Nice and a peaceful place if you want to spend your time with a loved one and even alone..If you are a photographer you would certainly like it.
Beautiful walk. Wonderful sandy beaches for the children make it an excellent, inexpensive way to pass the time. Keep in mind that the air is always colder at the lake (think 5-10c colder than the city). Dog walkers, kindly get your animals on tighter leashes, it's not fair to us survivors of dog bite attacks.
The Best Beach I jave ever visited???????????? just go and feel yourself
It is a beautiful place to walk bask meditate enjoy the bird and just chill. Cyclists, kayakers and kid perfect
This park has always been a favourite to visit during the summer. There is lots of parking (which has been reduced since the bottom parking got flooded due to the lake). Trails are always nice by the water and it's typically clean. Lots of …
Absolutely amazing place to spend quality time with your favorite people. It came a long way from what it use to look. You will always have something to do every season. Winter I go skating on there and it's a blast. Summer time BBQ is fantastic as well. City putting more money into the parks so hopefully all the trails are connected.
Beautiful place. Lovely time.
Love taking my dog for walks here. Seemingly endless lakeside paved pathway. Clean. Lovely. Hear it closes for flooding sometimes but all was well when we went.
Checked out the 5 Cygnets... They are still only paddling around, despite being almost as big as their parents. Not much fall colours on show yet.
