Huge park with splash pad, playground, lots of land for private parties like birthdays and barbeques. There are bbq pits.
Very beautiful park to have family and friends gathering, party and reunions.
Lovely park. Well looked after. I used to go to this park in the late 70's for my school's regional track meets. Today I was there for my grandson's track meet.
My favourite park as you can see it’s a nature’s gift and most of the people love to come here with their family and enjoy barbecue. This park has very nice location as you using trail.
A great place for biking with family. Love it. You can either go south or go east cross Morningside and UTSC then all the way south to the lake. Highly recommended.
Nice Park.Its huge
Large park with various activities. Good location for a family outing.
Where I started is from Scarborough Rough Hospital parking lot. There is a wooden stairs followed by a steep downhill path to enter the park. Winter snow hiking is amazing, frozen running river.
It is a beautiful park. It has endless walking and bicycle tracks. You will get a feel of wilderness.
Unexpectedly beautiful. Well equipped. A playground for the kids and hiking trails with gorgeous scenery for the whole family. I especially appreciated the water bottle filling stations by the bathrooms!
Morning side park is one of the biggest parks in Toronto. It's safe and children friendly. People come here for cycling, evening walk and enjoying nature. If you are lucky enough, you may also see deers grazing around. In Summer time it's usually very crowded and difficult to get a parking space.
Beautiful place! Serenity and peace.
Beautiful! There's a splash area for kids, slide and other playground equipment. Then a very large picnic, camping and play area for the whole family. It's a gun place, you can prepare your food, grill etc. There's a lot of parking space too, in case you're driving. Nice place for a family or friends get together
It's a nice park. Quite big and has some decent free parking. There's also bike rentals in the parking lot which is a huge bonus if you don't like to lug it there. The bike paths very long and right beside a stream. There's a huge open field with spaces for picnicking and barbecues plus a children's playground within the same area. Overall, not a bad spot.
A sprawling grassy space for picnicking and barbecues flanked by trails going deep into wooded spaces. Streams are never too far. Great for long walks. There are small hills to climb as well.
Huge, beautiful park with plenty of wildlife.
Great place for picnic and a good walk
This park is larger than I expected. It has a huge open area right off the Morningside Avenue entrance, many picnic spots, and a playground for kids. The highlights for me are the hiking trails and the wooded areas. The main trails are more geared towards biking, running, and walking. Nowadays they even have mini instructions and ideas for freehand exercises at every bench along the trail, which I think it's pretty neat. But there are plenty of offshoot trails that can be quite adventurous. They vary in elevation and slopes as well. Some wooded areas are walkable even without trails. I recommend only exploring those parts when there's daylight. Sometimes if you're lucky enough, or observant enough, you will see deer roaming around!
It has a wonderful trail for biking or jogging.... on top of that the views are awesome....
It's nice when there isn't so many people. You can really enjoy the view and sound of nature.
great park, with dirt paths alongside the river
What a lovely Place. With all facilities. I enjoyed my Family picnic here
Park was fantastic. Never knew such a good park in the locality. Best thing, one can do barbeque.
Kids playground, seasonal bathrooms, huge trails and seasonal salmon arrivals - October months.
Love to go there this year we have watched salmon run, deers and kayote.the creek always flowing. It is beautiful after a snowfall. Also I have watched a lot of cardinals
Very beautiful park for a walk, picnic or biking. The trails are very quiet and the people at the park are friendly. The whole surrounding atmosphere is positive.
Beautiful; different experience every season, all of them lovely.
A beautiful park for a walk and biking. The park is big we only walked 4.5 km just a part of it. There is big parking lot and it is free. There are benches along for resting.
Ample parking; clean washrooms; paved trails. Late Oct & early Nov, 2021, salmon were swimming upstream Highland Creek. Many good spots for watching them. 2021-Nov-12 update: probable sighting of coyote north of the road between the 1st & 2nd parking lots.
Loved the place,large picnic area
There is beautiful scenery along the bicycle trail in this park. We usually cycle all the way to the lake and along the shoreline so I'm not sure it's still Morningside Park that far into the trail. There are a few hills so it's not an entirely flat trail but it's well worth the effort.
Good park for trails
Quite a popular spot for picnics and barbeques. There's a splash pad for kids and trees for shade. Trails are paved and good for biking, boarding or just walking.
It is a beautiful park with some scenic streams and fields for sports. Trails are nice and clean and bench for sitting. Loved the overall atmosphere and the fact that there’s no entry fee.
I haven't been to this place in years. The park is more appealing. And there is a rental for bikes. Pleasant to be there
Amazing place. Beautiful and clean. You can bbq and spend some good time here. Clean public restrooms. Plenty of parking.
Beautiful park for hanging out with friends and family.
Absolutely loved the park in the middle of the city life. The water runs through the park alongside the walking trail. Lots of picnic tables, bench exercise reminders, splash pad, huge parking lot and easily accessible washrooms. Truly liked our visit.
I love here specially in winter.
This is the second year we celebrated our Nephews birthday at Morningside Park. The open green spaces, lots of park benches and being in the out doors is a great way to celebrate any event. They also have a fun splash park for the kids which is very welcomed on a hot summer day. Looking forward to visiting again next year!
Good for all seasons.
Its really quite and good place.
First visit to Morningside park for us today. Nice and quiet for a Sunday and so much parking in 3 separate lots, the further you drive in the more parking available. So many spaces for families to sit and eat and BBQ. Many trails going in a few different directions including water side trails. Met a very curious and friendly Racoon. Some but not many Canada Geese and over all very nice and peaceful. Great for families and kids, bikes, scooters, roller blades what ever your choice of exercise.
A huge park with beautiful nature, a lot of space for picnic and barbeque, and nice trails for hiking and biking alongside the river. If you are lucky you may also see the salmons in the river. The only problem is the parking. There are three free parkings inside the park, but if you arrive after 11, you may need to find a parking outside the park.
Nice park for the kids to play in the playground. It isn't too crowded with people and there are nice trails to walk through.
I love how huge and green this park! Best place for picnic!
This is one of my favorites parks. First of all, the entrance is very easy to find - off the Morningside Ave. If you are a park explorer new to the area, you can understand how painfully hidden some park entrances are. Secondly, there is proper bathroom here if you really need to go. Third, there is plenty of space for everyone. Large, open grass field if you want to camp and BBQ. Long, beautiful, paved path if you want to go for a walk. And lots of unpaved roads into the forests if you want to explore. Overall a very nice hangout for everyone.
Nice park and so much fun, I remember a raccoon drinking from my hand.
Amazing!!! Huge, beautiful park for walking, biking, hiking, having a picnic, etc
Park is very organized in terms of signs and picnic areas. Was very easy to navigate and find my friends
Great place for a scenic walk and during the salmon run season you can see them. Currently free to park and enter. But the north west portion of the path (which will exit at Elsmere) is still under construction and has been for over a year.
This park is HUGE!!! Great for picnics, a walk in the park or even cycling. I saw a family of deer less then 40ft away from me. Has firepit locations and a concrete ping pong table. Over all a really nice place to visit.
Beautiful park for picnic and long walk.
A real east end treasure! Hike for hours through this beautiful park! It connects to many others that will take you all the way to the foot of Lake Ontario. Lots of wildlife to observe and relatively low key!
Like a Provincial Park in the City. A retreat for nature lovers. Lots of Deer to observe and enjoy. Bring a camera.
It was a nice walk with nature all around.
Beautiful park with facilities and plenty parking spots
Toronto's largest park area wise. Ample picnic areas and tables. First come first serve during busy summer season. People hog the picnic benches. Big play ground and nice splash pad. When it comes to parking local people have no manners at all when leaving the park asked a really nice couple to wait 10-15 minutes for family to wrap up and empty our parking space for them only for some rude and selfish guy to cut them and take the parking spot after we left.
The park is really big and awesome with good amount of parking. The only issue in this park is that one washroom near the splash pad is clean but the other washroom near the rear end is very bad.The nice thing about park is it has good cycling tracks, splash pads, playground for kids, bbq setup and garbage box for both ashes and real garbage are enough.
Magical in the winter! Ample amount of parking and lots of walking space.. Not necessarily many trails but very opened. Best part are the deers!!
Keep clam and longer park where you do jogging that have best path nd is covered with trees. You must enjoy the beauty of nature ????????
Morning side park is amazing for a evening walk and also biking with many other things to do...not always packed..
Big park, very good for family picnic. So many picnic spots.
If you are in the area for a stroll or a light hike, Morningside is a wonderful spot to enjoy some nature. It's big enough to ride in it, or go for a good hike. Plenty of room for picnic and space for family and friends
An amazing park. Good for hiking and bike riding. Rental bike available. Also good for small family gathering.
Lovely place to visit with kids, friends and family, many kinds of ducks and deer are also seen in this beautiful park.
Morningside Park offers a quick escape from the bustling city life with a number of trails (both paved and natural), picnic areas and even a playground all within walking distance. One of Morningside's hidden features is Tallyho hill (which got it's name from the Toronto Boy Scouts division in the 1920's). The base of which starts towards the third parking lot and serves as a lookout point for the park. The extensive paths of Morningside park can also be followed to the University of Toronto (Scarborough Campus), Rouge Valley Hospital, the Guildwood GO Station, and Old Kingston Rd. (which is a stone's throw from Colonel Danforth Park). Pros: - Lots of trails perfect for bike riding, jogging or a casual stroll - The view from Tallyho Hill - BBQ and campfire pits - Playground - Multiple public washrooms - Plenty of parking Cons: - The musky smell of the nearby rivers can be a bit overwhelming at times - The main field can get crowded on summer weekends
Morning side park. Such a beautiful place to keep active and enjoy the outdoors.
Lot of free space, water fountain and children play area. Safe distancing.
It is ok but nothing especial. The bike path is somewhat bumpy and one needs to be careful. The creek that runs along the trail is nice and sometimes deers can be spotted. The park itself can be bust at times a d frequently visited where lots of gathering can be at times for bbq'ing and socializing.
Nicely situated within the city and very well organized park. Here you can find a big variety of different wild flowers, greeneries and insects.
Nice green space, with protected wildlife. Lots of biodiversity. There's also a playground, splash pad, picnic tables and a hidden hiking trail.
Absolutely breathtaking park. It's especially better the more south you go, away from the splash pad and parking lot. Definitely recommend bringing your bike to ride in peace, and a camera to take pictures! A truly amazing piece of nature that is just what eastern Toronto needs, apart from the Bluffs.
Your can have family picnics , long walks , family fun time , explore nature , hidden hikes , spots to explore …you name it everything is here you just need to explore your surroundings …..????????????????Follow on insta for more spots - #flawsome_thinker
Nice park. Lots of available walking trails. Some biking trails and a nice canopy of trees. A small big of moving water through the park. Some small spots of ticks. Be sure to check your kids on your way out if they run through the long grass.
Saw salmon making their way upstream. Some construction occuring at the moment with trail accessible
BlogTO recently rated the 5 nicest parks in Scarborough and for the life of me I can't figure out why Morningside Park wasn't on the list. This park has everything, tons of picnic places, a great trail along Highland Creek and a really cool bench-fitness circuit
Big and Beautiful place, crowded in summer.
It was crowded on the weekend we decoded to go. Car parking was the biggest problem. Although the park has a few BBQ grills for public use, everyone preferred getting their own handy/portable bbq grills.
A serenity galore. Want to enjoy quite time with fresh air and natural beauty with little bit of trekking.
Morningside park is a great park with easy walking trails. Funny for all levels and interest.
Calm and quite park. Lot of sqarals and saw deer. If you are looking for uncrowded destination it is one of the best place to spend time with family and kids.
Awesome. There are benches to sit and enjoy, assigned spaces for barbecue. Garbage bins are there. Can camp.
Love to see the animals free to roam in their own environment.
Great place to enjoy small trail, creek and fields.
Nice outdoors park. Lots of green space, trails, playground and a splash pad.
Went here once before and it was nice, peaceful and quiet. However this time it was intensely packed with horrible drivers, people parking in laneways, and raging parties were going on. Probably wouldn't check that out again, unless maybe it was a weekday.
Amazing place to see Salmon Run and Hopping in October. Beautiful fall colours, trails by Creek side makes for some lovely photography
We saw a deer as we drove into the parking lot, and then were treated to blue jays, woodpeckers, chickadees and cardinals after leaving the car. I like the existing hiking trails, but am very happy to explore the new ones that are being built.
Beautiful scenery lots of space. Parking available. Good for family picnics, walks, playing and more.
My go to park for a small walk. Very refreshing n good to see when people maintain social distances. Park is also very well maintained. A calm n serene park amidst the city
Winter at its best at Morningside park
Spacious park with a nice trail. Kids love the playground and there’s an outdoor rink during winter time. If you’re lucky you’ll see a herd of deer!
It's fantastic place to enjoy at weekend specially in summer. There is also BBQ stand available those who want to do BBQ at park but don't have BBQ machine they can do at Morningside park. Nice place playing, exercise , party etc. Loved it very much ... ????????????????
Very good place to a take a long walk. I really enjoyed the atmosphere there. The ambiance gives us a positive vibe. Fortunately we were able to see deers there and we found it was a little bit adventurous because it was a winter morning. We were also a bit nervous because of seeing giant foot prints of some animals. But it was not a dangerous place as we expected by seeing those.
This park is hugh, a great place for family and friends gathering
Great park, barbecue available and fall colours making it all much greater Only please i am not sure who cleans the toilets but really dirty and stinky
Very nice and secluded park. Has a great water park / splash pad which is operated by the push of a button (e.g. not always on, but rather on demand). Lots of space and lots of parking. Fun times.
A great place for family picnic and a BBQ party.
Great place to hike, lot of trails, cycles also available for rent..
Went to see some salmon but I think we're a bit late for the season. Was able to see some but none were jumping today. Its a nice big park for kids and adults to walk around. They're doing construction so areas may be closed off right now. But our kid was able to go right up to a few construction vehicles (they weren't working today), which made his day. Believe they're trying to pave some parts of the paths. You can also see some nice fall colours walking around.
The park is really nice. It has some great areas for children (swing sets etc.). The location is forested, easy to access and a fun place to bring the entire family. Throughout the park you will find long trails along the river. I would recommend biking these trails from Morningside Park all the way to the lake. It is a very fun experience. Overall, great place to have fun for the day.
Good Big Park but too over crowded on weekends. It is a big space overall.
Wonderful Park any time of the year. I love to jog during the summer. Lots of services like bathrooms and water filling stations. It is also great for picnics and family events. Great place to see the fall colours around October.
The Morningside Park is a peaceful place woth spectacular views. It has water flowing right from the centre of the woods, colorful maple trees and good wild life. Good place for running and cycling and for barbeque too...
Morningside Park is one of the main recreational park in the Scarborough Area. When I use to live in Toronto, I would always pass by Morningside Park on Morningside Avenue and also been there plenty of times! Beautiful park and scenery! Great views! Lush green grassy ground with variety of trees! Great place for fresh air and enjoy activities! Highly recommend visiting Morningside Park to everyone for fresh air with family and friends! ????
Nice view and so far everything is good
Beautiful park for picnics, stroll by the river and cycling. Wish the path was longer than 7km though.
A very good place to visit and relax. I suggest you to get a bicycle or Rent one at the entrance. The park is really big and it's very tiring to cover the entire park by foot.
Accessible parking space which leads straight to the park. Lots of picnics and camping grounds. Paved trail for hiking or cycling. Can choose to go near the river or through more forested areas. Signs were posted of reported sightings of ticks in the area. The path crosses a few bridges and smaller paths that stem from the main paved trail allow you to get near the riverside and take scenic shots. Saw raccoon, birds and other common wildlife.
Nice park for picnic and hikes
Escape from the city and explore this spot of nature in Scarborough. This park has a creek running through it. There are many, many mature trees surrounding the footpaths which wind their way throughout the park. Walk, bike, jog through the park, and you will find picnic areas, a playground, a splash pad, and public washrooms available for visitors to use, weather permitting.
Beautiful park for picnics, bike rides, walk. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends
Fantastic park with area for barbecue, steeped hiking trails, lots of open areas.
This park has a great mixture of groomed and wild areas to hike through. It feels like you're not in the city any longer.
One of the peaceful park in the city
A quite large park with awesome views and trails. It has a play area and splash pad for kids. Green fields offer a nice place for playing outdoor games and enjoying some quality time with families and friends. Good for huge gatherings and bar b que and roasting corns. You can bring your leashed dogs for a walk here. Sit beside the stream and take some selfies. Enough parking space is available here.
Nice place for a picnic, take a walk and try your hand at a little ???? fishing
Good place, alot of bugs but recommended
Nice and lovely place. Must visit to watch fall.
You will not get parking spot on the weekends unless you are willing to arrive early in the morning (7-11AM). We went on a Sunday, not sure about Saturday nor public holidays. Fantastic place, lots of fun things to do but be aware of caterpillars, lots and lots, literally everywhere. We went during late June so that might be the reason.
Great place to walk around, have a picnic, watch kids playing at the playground. It's also a great spot to see salmon swimming against the current.
It's my favorite park for picnic and nature gathering! It has 4 large sites with barbecue and facilities and has designed very well. The best part is being connected to the untouched nature from 3 dimensions.
Great place to relax ????. Beautiful fall colors ????
Amazing park for barbecue and some kids activities... loved the place..though the grass was not cut..but still good...
One of the most beautiful parks in Scarborough. To get away from the bustling of the traffic and the dust from the streets thereabout, you can just have a visit here. It's very cool and shady, thanks to the verdant and tall trees. There's a lot of nice spots to have a delightful picnic and to play games. There's also a stream flowing alongside the walkway in the park.
Nice place to stretch your legs. Good paths for running/biking/walking. Lots of grass and areas to picnic with some bbqs and fire pits. Water park and play areas for the kiddos. Gets a bit busy as most green spaces in the city.
Love this park. Great for walks and biking with lots of opportunity to spot wildlife. You can watch the salmon run and spot deer and all kinds of creatures. It's great for picnics and they have a nice playground with sand.
A good place to spend a day with your family and friends, have a barbecue party and enjoy the beautiful nature, there are places to park your car and you can enjoy walking on the edge of running water
Peaceful trails for long quiet walks. A large picnic area. Would be great for bubble soccer too. There s also a bixi station at the entrance so you can grab one and bike around the park. There were a lot of bugs on a sunny november afternoon. Free parking in the parking lot. On sundays, it fills up really fast after 12pm. Though it did smell like a sugar mill in the park for some reason
Great place for family picnics and taking nice photos of nature. I have seen Salmon going down the river for laying eggs in upper lake Huge park to explore
Excellent park with multiple picnic spots. There is stream with so many rocks by the park. Parking free. Washrooms are great. BarBQ special. Ample space to play and hang around. Love this place. Special note: One of the Best place for Fall colours. In a summer afternoon, Suddenly you may come across a bunny eating tender leafs. See my pictures for bunny eating leafs.
Wonderful park. However the washroom area needs to be kept clean regularly. Especially the roof where the birds making it looks absolutely dirty .The should be solution to keep the birds away from loitering and living there.
Huge are with some nice trails, biking path, bbqs, play park and a splash pad.
Open space which is good for picnics. Washrooms are really old. Free parking.
*note pictures are not mine, from google* Awesome park, lots of trails, lots of parking on regular days, huge playing fields, washrooms, theirs the don river, salmon usually spawn here, theirs a season where ppl come and watch them, don't now about fishing tho, besides that, bring a bike and hit the trails, or your hiking boots, some great scenery for outdoor lovers. Good park for picnics in the summer with the kids
Having lived for decades near Erindale park with credit river flowing through this park was an amazing find. My first time visiting and what a surprise. Beautiful fall colors, salmon spawning, little water falls, river, hiking trails, picnic areas what more can you ask for. Oh, and lots of parking and free entrance as a bonus.
Bike trail is a hidden gem. It is good for beginners, it runs along hilly paths, pockets of river ways, lake shore and wooden bridges.
Decent place to spend time with family and do BBQ.
Its a full package that includes mosquitoes after 6 PM ????. Better to book a spot if you are serious about the picnic.
Huge park with lots of parking space and many picnic tables. There are many fixed BBQ grills available for use as well. It has a nice long trail along the stream where you can go for a walk or cycling. Bike share bicycles are also available. There's also a sandy play area along with a splash pad, good for young kids. Overall a very beautiful and clean park.
A really beautiful park with lots of picnic tables. I definitely recommend going further into the park and going to the trail. There's a really nice stream and a beautiful scenic area to walk around. I was even able to see a beaver and a rabbit in the area which was really nice to see. Overall definitely worth checking out even if it's a bit of a longer drive.
Good place to relax lots of parking, washroom. Water park ,lots of table and guess what it's free
Beautiful park with splash pad for kids. Small playground with sand makes kids happy. There is nice trail for walk or bike. Don't regret by visiting this park...
Beautiful park with ample of parking. Nice scenery and running alongside the stream will make your tiredness less tired ????
Just beautiful! Was pleasantly surprised by the beauty along the trails. There is a bit of construction going on. I recommend anyone to explore it!
Beautiful place. Was sad see some salmon couldn't do it. Some of them died before released their eggs.
No Covid practices were being followed here. There were just too many people. Also, they should put a sign up for the parking lot that comes after the first one, as new visitors often find it confusing.
Have always loved this park. Been coming here since I was a student at West Hill C.I. Love taking my son down to see the wild life and just walk through the trees. Rain or shine, summer or winter, it’s an absolutely beautiful, breath of fresh air in the city.
Splash pad open with park. Bathrooms and an ice cream truck. What more can you ask for. Oh fire pits and bbq. They have everything here.
Nice park to spend time with kids.
Had my son's birthday party here ... Great place Every1 loved the surroundings. Only flaw, we booked the shedded area and it was at the opposite end of the park from the splash pad so we weren't able to make use of it. Note to those looking to book the shed - it is 1a, not included with picnic area 8 or 9.
The deer here are my friends. They peek out and make this park so memorable. This park is huge filled with lots of trails, playground area for children and the highland creek flowing side by side.
It's a big park which can conduct birthday party and lot off programmes easily. It is good for children also but the bike riders need to find other place.
Nice trails and beautiful views. Good for biking with friends and family
many tables and benchs , and you can bbq ...
Amazing Park true wild life, alot of fishes, deers, birds.
Multiple parking zones with 50-70 spots each, still insufficient during peak time on weekends. If you park on the road they have dedicated staff who puts tickets on the windshield. Park is enjoyable in a pleasant weather.
Gorgeous park , my fav to visit . Beautiful large and open with amazing trails and streams . Iv taken some amazing pictures here. Deer , cayote & foxes. Have a barbecue or play a game of volleyball. Go for a bike ride up the hills or just chill bask in the sun.
Good spot to go camping with friends and families in the summer. There are grills for you to use. Could pick some dried branches of tree around your camp and you good to go. There is a stream floating in the park. Walking and biking is highly recommended
Very big nice park with few car parks. Today June 20th it was full of caterpillars all over the park. Kids didn't like it because of that. If not ot is a lovely place.
Very nice and peaceful place for long cycling or long walks
Great park for families with kids; there is a fun splash pad for kids to cool down for the summer ;the kids have an awesome time. There is a small playground also. The park also has a wide open field that is great for a game of cricket or soccer. There is also a covered pavilion as you enter the park from the bridge.
It was good, the park was clean, had a nice picnic.
One of the best hidden trails available nearby this park
This is a spacious park with bbq and picnic tables, kids playground and splash pad. It’s not clean very well here and bad smell at some part of park coming from river(( You can rent a bikes here. At winter time open only one parking lot, and trail roads are very icy.
Nice picnic area for a family events. There is a sandy park with swings, a splash pad, washrooms, a small stream nearby to dip your feet into and parking. My family will probably do another event here; its green and open so children can run around and still be in sight.
Great place to get away from the city. On the right time you will find some salmon in the river.
Big park!
Should have washrooms opened up but it's still a great park with beautiful scenery
Beautiful place. Went to see the salmon run. Very enjoyable.
This is a great spot for family outings, no matter what day of the week you choose to visit. Summer 2021. As families are slowly moving back to their normal, expect higher than normal volumes of people. Because of the traffic, I had to park across a walkway. As long as you leave enough space between cars, you won't have any issues with other visitors. The park is free, and no ticket person will hit you for parking in the wrong spot. Just use your discretion for the sake of other visitors.
Nice park with fair bit of vegetation. There are several fire pits as well as barbecue area. Nothing particular stands out. 45 mins should complete a walk around.
???? free parking ⛺ Shelters available for rent to make parties ???? Fire pits available for rent too but couldn't find it on the city website ???? There are BBQs there and each one has a dump for charcoal ????️ Can walk along river or in the trail. ???? You can ride your bike there too on the trail and also rent a city bike. The screen didn't work to rent one though so you have to download the app ???? ???? Also lots of field space for gatherings or playing sports ????????♂️ Every bench has an exercise suggestion, you can make it a workout as you walk along the trail.
I've been coming to this park for the past 25-30 years. Very well maintained, and several Trash/Recycling bins located throughout the park. Usually very packed, but if you have your own Foldable Chairs, Grill and possibly a small foldable table, you will always find a great spot. Highly recommend this park for anyone looking to go for a hike/run or even a large scale picnic/outdoor party.
This is a beautiful park it has three levels it also has a play area and some barbecue stands excellent place to go riding or take the kids for a picnic or just to take a walk in the park it's beautiful
Nice place for small to big events! Relatively private areas/gazebos available for booking.
It's a nice park, but there's a garbage odor. I don't know where the smell is coming from, but when you're walking through it'll hit you so hard you can taste the smell which is awful. Other than that, bike rentals are available, the park is big so you can get a nice stroll in
Love this park! Well kept grass is always cut parks are always clean...lots of parking and beautiful trails! Kids park and water park! lots of bbq stations and park benches for picnics. Lots of wildlife to be seen deer bunnies birds butterflies and many more !
I like the asphalt path lined with trees on both sides and the babbling Brook which at yes follows the path
Excellent place to spend a day with a group: either it be family, friends, colleagues etc and for just spending time, picnic, Barbecue etc, even if it for book reading or jolly walking. There is a picnic area, trail, splash area etc
Peaceful and beautiful place to hangout, talk a walk, bike. Sometimes you can see deers walking around in the bushes
Nice place for picnic and spent time with family.
It's a beautiful place to hike and enjoy the amazing sights. It has a big parking lot and opened washrooms.
Beautiful trail for walking and long! Love coming here for walks
Beautiful park with lots of walking trails. Connects from UTSC to centenary hospital.
Park is very beautiful but there’s so many dead fish in the water. Water should be checked by city.
Nice park, a bit of nature very close to the city, nice fire pits and picnic area. Good Place to see the Salmon swimming up the river.
Awesome place to visit during summer, spring and fall. Beautiful and long trails to walk on. Peaceful environment
A great park with good trails, a beautiful creek, a lot of open playing area, BBQ grills, designated fire pit areas, picnic areas with a lot of picnic tables and plenty of garbage and recycling bins (so picnic friendly), a kids play area with water features, and parking. The benches along trail also have signs with bench exercises you can do along the way.
Excellent for picnic, barbecue and get together parties. Lot of open area to explore and play. Good track for walking, jogging and cycling . We get Closer to nature. Deers spotted..!! Only negative thing is bad smell in few small stretches while on track. ????
It’s a big park, there’s paved trails or you can even go off the main trail to explore the creek a little better. Lots of birds so this is perfect for bird watching. Lots of picnic tables and benches, so this is perfect for summer bbq or just relaxing. It’s also good for cyclists. Only con is that there are construction equipments on the parking lot and some trails lead you to the construction path which is not the best sight to see.
A great spot to hang out in the summer.
Loving the scenic areas. Peaceful day. Clean
Beautiful n Serene. Manage to get a few pics of colorful leaves
Very nice trail and picnic park. You can book a pit spot and have your BBQ and biking - bikes available for rent...great for family outing. Washroom facilities were also available.
It’s always my favourite place to visit to recalibrate myself. I used to visit this place when I was studying in Centennial college, Morningside Campus during 2011-2013. Ever since then I still visit it to revisit old times.
Perfect place for a BBQ, leisure stroll, or just a nap on the grass.
Best place in Scarborough to watch salmon run! Not started yet as of federal election day September 20, 2021.
Specious park to accomaodate all. however there are no options for purchace food and snacks other than ice cream trucks which appear now n then. On the other hand Morningside crossing is just 300 mtr away where u can find almost all ur basic needs
Nice place for trail , kids play area was good
Enormous park with plenty of space for family BBQ s and for family outdoor activities.
Good place to walk, bike, ect.
Very lovely location, my first time and it was a really great experience.
Great park for nature lovers and those who want to cycle or enjoy a nice walk. Good kids playground as well as BBQ/picknick fire pit areas.
If you want to be with Nature and enjoy picnic and even bicycle riding this is a place you must visit
Very big park. In the park you will definetly meet a deers and rabbits. Also there is a place for BBQ. The best place to go with family spend time away from loud downtown. Morningside park is like a small forest.
It serene, beautiful and family friendly. The trail is long enough to get hearts pounding. It is a nice place to bike.
We love going to this park, lots of place for ppl to hang out, walk and sit and enjoy. Bike Share bikes can also be rented based on the availability but that is a great option to explore around the park too (just be careful not to exceed the timings given )
Good place to do BBQ and enjoy, there are playing area for the children.
The park itself is pretty large. The trail runs from the Morningside park from the north to the Greenvale park to the south, about 3.5km one way. The trail is paved, well maintained. Some spots along the trail had unpleasant smell, something like sewer smell.
Perfect for a small picnic woth friends and family.
Nice place. good walking trails and place to play for kids
Beautiful and very nice place for relaxing. Especially we can watch salmon returning in Autumn.
I went to Morningside park after long time. Very spacious park with ample parking space. Park was clean than expected. Very good place for a picnic with family. I hope visitors keep the place clean as it is.
Great place to relax. Family friendly to get together. Huge park.
very nice family picnic area, with moderate hiking opportunities, biking path and BBQ available.
Nice grassy picnic areas, small but clean splashpad, bathroom relatively clean, good kids playground with sand. No gypsy moth caterpillars encountered on our visit!
Great park for walks and lots of wildlife to see. Deer, squirrels, chipmunks, wild turkey, beavers and all kinds of birds to name a few.
Wonderful and serene walk through a beautiful place.
It was bad weather when I visit, still need some time to walk around .
Great place to have long walk . Big park space for leisure activities with lot of places for barbeque. Great stream and lots of trees around . Perfect weekend destination .. Rental Bike available is an added advantage.
Great place to go with family. Can go on long walks in the trail or play in the park. Lots of swings for kids. Ample parking too!
Pretty place with lots of mature tree to sit and walk under. Sadly the water has BAD smell to it. Lots off people bbq with family. Great splash pad. They have bikes to rent for 3.25, which is amazing
It was very relaxing. The children enjoyed the water park as well as nearby mini park. My only concern was the washroom which was deplorable. There was no visible Covid 19 station and hygiene did not seem to be a priority. Social distancing was not practise. On entering there was about 4 police officers standing together but they soon left. Probably because of the calm, laid back atmosphere. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.
A very large park with 3 big lots of free parking. Trails, streams and large picnic areas. A small splash pad for the kids. Some fixed bbq grills and washrooms available (though oddly they don't have signs on the outside as to which gender they are for.) Construction and those vehicles have blocked the end of one trail. A number of long metal bridges that pass over the stream and offer nice views. Supposedly lots of sightings of deer and other wildlife, but unfortunately, we didn't see any on our visit. It's a nice getaway and worth checking out if you don't mind the hike.
Great place for biking. They have rentals available. There is a kids play area including water fountains
The trails were scenic. We had a beautiful nature walk.
Had a great time at the fire ???? pit with friends ... Getting a permit for our gathering was well worth it ! Good times with great friends, can't wait until the spring when we can do it again and have some more good time making good memories !!!
Such a lovely park. Great trails and picnic area. Lots of space, totally enjoyed walking by the streams. Parking is free and there are so many parking areas within the park. Washrooms are placed at every picnic area. It's really a hidden gem. You can rent TTC bicycles within the park and go on a long ride too, I guess the entire trail is 6.1 miles. Thanks to the government for managing such a neat park.
Beautiful park, nice splash pad and playground for the kids. Lots of open space. Your car will get dusty so postpone the car wash. Leave kids' bikes at home.
We love the park, come every year. You can do lots of things here such as bbq, hiking and party. A play ground for kids. Lots of parking spaces. Rough river run through and you can even see salmon during fall season.
Always a great park to visit. But be aware parking spots run out very quickly.
We had so much fun we even saw a racoon today near the car it was exciting and scary in the same time a great place to picnic with all the familly
A huge park with 3 parking lots, Children playground, trails, pavement garden sidewalk. Great for family and hikers. Along the river is a scenic trail, flat and easy path. Wildlife and salmon spawn...dog is permitted.
The park is good with spacious open field in the middle and it's surrounded by bike trail, forest and small creek. It has nice water splash pad for kids. However, it's really hard to get parking during summer time and you might need to consider a big waiting time.
Excellent park with a lot of space and fun for the kids.
Beautiful park, good path system, picnic areas, Creek running through and if you're lucky, you will see deer.
I loved this park with a beautiful trail that connects several parks with a 20Km for hiking or biking.
Its very nice and lots of parking but not much to. Beside hiking and a small children area for play, its just lot of area with grass or hills. Its good in its current state but maybe could be improved with some more stuff. But I won't hold against it though. Its in the middle of the city so adding some more things to do will be great.
