I love hiking here. Just wish the trails were marked better. I'm a beginner and almost got lost.

Roads closed towards end but if you park there (where the signs say no trespassing) and follow the yellow then blue markers- it ends up only being .5km there and back. Super little effort for a beautiful view. FYI, road is rough but my little car made it so just take your time!

Awesome spot. Lots of trails and vistas of lake superior.

Love the trails here at Gros cap. Can be difficult to find at first, but with persistence, you will see a trail that leads to other trails. One of the trails takes you to a secluded beach area. It is very rocky, but still worth the hike to get there. Beautiful, pristine water, quite cool, but very refreshing on a hot day. Can get very windy here, but on a hot day it's great to hit the trails along the beach line.

This is a great trail, but an important access to the south has been disconnected by a land owner ... who has chosen not to allow access. The property is currently for sale, so maybe the new owners will be more open to their community of trail folk. I haven't hiked or ran the north segment yet.

Really beautiful place to explore and you get a great view of the lake from on top of the cliff.

Dirt track starts from about 2 KMs from where you reach mine of dead end. Also one of the dirty track Google shows doesn't exists and you have to come across from the other tab until you reach a place where it says Private Property ahead. There a couple of cars can be parked between trees and a trail starts towards woods. No trail maps posted and one of the trails take you to a rock that overlooks the shore. You might be able to go down down to the shore through the woods. Not sure where other part of trail head. Looks UNMANAGED and no toilets or anything. You actually feel that you drove into nowhere.

Drove here yesterday in hopes to hike o the waterfront to find out it's been shut down. This conservation area was once open to the public, but now it's private property. Don't waste your time driving out there. Its a summer maintained road with no parking. The owners do not want people trespassing. Don't bother.

I am not still a visitor in wonderful Canada lands, I hope to conserve the beautefull natural area in my village Arcani, Gorj, Roumania. I need your help!

Nicola Dal Martello

Must be awesome - if reached. I got lost in the woods after a long dirt road. As many others have said, it's an unmanaged road full of holes, and private property, too. I tried the other way from ON 550 but the trials were absolutely the same and I couldn't risk to get lost. So either you go with a local, or get a good map of the area.
