This was a place recommended to me when I arrived at the airport at the information kiosk. This is a small museum but packed with information about the history of Ukrainians coming to Canada. The a lady in the museum was very informative and pleasant. Admission is 8 $ for some it may seem expensive for to me whether you spend and hour or more is still worth the price . There is a little gift shop, one should inquire about how they create the Ukrainian eggs , what the colours and symbols mean. You will be truly surprised and the amount of time to create on these wonderful works of arts.

Going to UMC is like entering a magnificent well built castle that has many stories to tell. It is so clean, the artifacts well labelled, and the staff at the front are always helpful and polite. Only top quality products are found in the Gift Shop...excellent place to buy friends or family a heartfelt gift. I bought a gold orthodox cross there which is very special to me. Amazing place to discover Ukrainian culture and get to know about how the very first Ukrainian families had to cope with the land they were given and how they had to built their houses and another stuff. I'm very excited after being there for a few hours. There is a lot of exponats and historical things every Ukrainian should know. I definitely recommend the place for Canadian Ukrainians, there is something to think on.

This is an “I wish” museum. I wanted to explore the history of Ukrainian immigration and settlement in Saskatchewan. A large number of displays present a wide range of artifacts. However, I wish….the information cards were posted on the walls….sometimes 6 feet from where visitors are permitted. The font is too small to make them legible. I wish I was able to read the information accompanying the displays. I suspect if you are of Ukrainian heritage then the museum would be a delight in revisiting family memories.

Although it is a small museum but the stories about Ukrainian community when they first came in Canada is explained well. The staff is also really nice to explain to you if you have questions. I enjoyed a lot visited this museum.

It gives you a glimpse of what Ukrainian settlers/immigrants used to do in their everyday lives: how they lived, their celebrations and struggles....if you already visited the "big ones" (Remei Art Museum and Western Development Museum) then this one should be the next on your list (also it is important to note that this is the Ukrainian Museum of Canada, not just Saskatchewan ???????????? but it is in Saskatchewan because of the significant number of settlers coming to Saskatchewan)

Loved having a wander around the museum and learning about the challenges Ukranian migrants faced when arriving in Canada. The displays are interesting and informative, and felt very personal. A really interesting place to spend a few hours.

An interesting museum especially if you are Ukrainian. The lady at the front desk when we were visiting was mostly nice and helpful but also a bit rude at times. Also a great place to buy gifts for any Ukrainian friends or family.

I had been here before and loved it but last weekend was very disappointed to find out they were closed even though online it said they were open. We parked on the street, paid for a few hours of parking, walked up and found the doors were locked. Being from out of town, and especially during COVID, I plan ahead and always check online for hours of operations, and nowhere online did it say they would be closed...

Have never been here but google asked me to rate it. So 5 stars. Great place if your looking to learn about Ukrainian things. Smells kind of musty...like a museum. Friendly Staff. Again ive never actually been there.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Ukrainian Museum. The woman running the place was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I loved browsing all the artifacts and I learned so much. I was very shocked and disheartened to learn about the Ukrainian internment camps during the first world war though. So many innocent lives upturned and ruined for no legitimate reason. Definitely a very dark time in our past that needs more light cast upon it. I highly recommend a visit to this excellent tribute to the history of the Ukrainian people.
