REVIEWS OF St. Victor Petroglyphs Provincial Historic Park IN Saskatchewan

Allison Sambrook-Kessler

Amazing history right here in Saskatchewan! Gorgeous view from the top of the hill.

Kathy McKay

It was nice to see the unusual petroglyphs. They are on a horizontal surface rather than a vertical surface. There is a fence around them to protect them from vandalism, but it makes them difficult to see.

Graham Monette

As far as these historic petroglyph's are concerned, it's a Total waste of time, there is nothing to see here. Scenery with the trees and landscape are unusual for the area, but if you are here to see the petroglyph's themelselves, don't bother.

Lacey Redwood

Really cool place! Not the best to go to when it is windy and cold as there is not a lot of shelter at the top! But a really beautiful place to see. There are picnic areas and a restroom at the bottom. Be careful if you drive to the top as there are cows grazing there.

Robin Gardner

Beautiful bit of interesting history ...incredible scenery

Steven Wilson

While I enjoyed it, it is obvious little care has been paid to the site in years.

A no cost attraction of historic and cultural significance, the petroglyphs are worth a visit. Informative story boards on site provide context, but the key 'map' at the upper site was difficult to interpret. Our party did not visit the lower site. The upper site was wheel chair accessible. Toilet facilities and some benches are On-site. No other services available. Worth a visit if in the area.

Interesting day trip. Drive to top of the road where you can see the stone carvings and get a fantastic view . Unfortunately you have to look through a fence due to vandalism to the site.

Sad we couldn't see the bottom level but happy the top level was easily accessible with an electric scooter. If you visit the Willow Bunch Museum this is another great addition to you trip.

It was very difficult to see the carvings from the fenced area you are allowed in. However the surrounding area and the skies were worth the trip.

The picnic facility was very nice, and there was two lovely trails about 50 meters each; one trail to a nice bench on a hill looking out over the prairie and the other through a beautiful wood. The petroglyphs themselves were inaccessible; the rock face was fenced off both above and below and you needed binoculars to possibly see anything. It was rather disappointing to see what could have been a lovely historic site be so underwhelming. We passed here on our way to Grasslands National Park - I would not recommend driving out of your way for this site until some changes are made.
