DESCRIPTION

You will see the feddbacks of people like you who are using the products and services of Great Sandhills Museum & Interpretive Centre (Tourist Attraction) in the territory close to Saskatchewan (Canada).

At this moment this firm receives a score of 4.6 stars over 5 and this rating has been based on 71 reviews.

As you can read, the average of ratings that it reaches is practically the highest, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can think that the valuation is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their review when they've done well, is that it works.

You know that we do not usually bother to set scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

The best small town museum I have seen. So much on display and so well at up

Dee S

Tim McDougall

Was more interesting than I thought...well worth the small five dollar fee

Reg Neufeld

Really enjoyed seeing the displays in this small museum. Worth the stop to walk through it

C G

The museum was okay. It is out in the middle of nowhere. The picnic outside was one of the best things. We had to pay for a map to get to the dunes, which should be complimentary information.

Nick Kaminski

This review is for the Great Sand Hills and not just the museum. This destination is a must see for anyone living in or traveling through Saskatchewan. You'd never expect something like this that's so close. When you enter the sand hills area it's as if you're in a place that's far away from your typical Saskatchewan flat prairie land. Forget any predispositions you had about Saskatchewan. Visit this place.

Tania Jones

A great jumping off place before visiting the sand hills. Good directions and information from people who lived and worked here and played on the sand hills.

Great tour

Stopped by with my family but could not get in due to the fact they have no interac and no ATM in town. They have a credit card swiper plugged into a tablet but would not work for my card. Kids were disappointed but next time I bring cash and write a new review.

Dylan Massé

All the history.

This place was a pleasant surprise. There is a lot to see inside. A little piece of history hidden in this building. If you are driving through this way, a must stop. Very informative for kids too!

Impressive number of artifacts relating to many aspects of daily life in the area from decades ago. Very well done!!! We also enjoyed exploring the Sandhills thanks to the map provided at the museum. Highly recommend going here.

This museum is a hidden gem, you wouldnt expect such a good museum to be in a small town but it can hold its own against museums in Regina and Saskatoon.

Crashnet Pratt

Michael Herman (Toronto)

Great displays. Great collection of community history books.

Jc Coates

There is quite a bit to see here, both inside and outside the museum, I was really impressed. It's only $5 for an adult admission.

Abu Sayeed Md Maruf

Peter Cudmore

Well worth the $5. A great little stop before visiting the sand dunes.

Aundrea R

Pretty interesting stop. The museum is divided into sections ie dentist office, school, church hospital etc. Don't miss the buildings outside and the super cool school buggy. If you're heading to the sandhills, why not pick up a crazy carpet in the gift shop.

Thierry Deux

Tons to see inside and out. Friendly knowledgeable staff. This is a fantastic small town museum.

Robert “Anaerin” Johnston

Informative and frugal

Jennifer LeBlanc

What an amazing collection!

Richard Haubrich

I was blown away by the quality of the displays. Scepter should be a destination for any prairie history buff.

Lauren Ponto

Alot better then I thought it would be. Lots to see, great information! Found it better then the one in Saskatoon.

Michael Maruszewski

First off The sand dunes themselves were breathtaking ???????? the closest experience you’ll get to the Sahara desert in Western Canada. The reason for the 3 stars are lack of washrooms in the area! Both the museum and co-op were closed at 3:45 pm on Sunday! When google said it was open...The closest open washroom and gas station was in Leader... so I did have to backtrack after 4 hours of driving.

Closed for the season so we didn't get to go in. Hence the 4 star rating. I gave it this high without going in because there was still plenty of information on the outside. Most importantly a map on how to get to the sandhills from Specter. If not for this place we would have missed turn offs.

Parveen Sangah

This place was so gorgeous! We were the only ones here despite it being a warm, sunny Saturday afternoon. The kids loved rolling around in the sand. We spent hours here.

Best small town museum ever. Sceptre you should be very proud of what you've accomplished.

Laurie Langmo

Loved it definitely recommend it to everyone I talk to

Christianne Blais

It is really impressive how many antiques and things the museum has accumulated and what's more, they've been kept in really good condition! Really cool both inside the museum and outside. There are several exhibits from taxidermy of different wildlife to military and RCMP uniforms to old medical and dental equipment and on and on. Outside boasts four buildings that are unlocked to be explored when the museum is open. More antiques can be found inside. A real gem in the middle of nowhere!

Cyril Adams

One of the best museum that we have visited.
