Nice calm place to paddle with lots of islands to explore. Great with kids. Fairly shallow and muddy in some places. Went with my inflatable SUP. Was with a group of friends with some renting canoes and some brought their own SUPs. Those with our own boats had to go around the main area and load from the side, which was a bit annoying but close enough.

We are a family that goes hiking each weekend from Montreal. One afternoon, we didn't have a lot of time to go somewhere far, so we went here. It is a nice place for a walk, but for us, it's too urban. There are a lot of people, and the same trail is shared between pedestrians and cyclists. Since the trail is in the city, at some points it is a bit confusing as you feel like you are walking into a residence or just walking on the street. It is also very windy.

It's awesome it was a very very good experience going to there there was many kayak and boat for going around there was also a big Museum of the history of that river that you could go for free of charge the boat were for 2 or around 10 people so if you are three you have to get two boats and one will be alone so I always go there in even numbers there are plenty of tables that are very suitable and queen for having your lunch there and actually this is a very common place for doing the day camps for the students and children. Dont forget your camera

We had a blast here. For Covid they have taken extensive precautions. All kayaks are cleaned before renting. Start early or you won't get a boat, especially on a weekend. There's a small island where you can dock and have a picnic! That was the highlight of this trip!!

The employees are super nice, helpful and welcoming. You can dock on the islands and eat on tables set up for this purpose. The places we visited were all very clean. Even with the big construction that is going to last until spring 2018, this place is still so cool. Great nature photo potential. Wonderful river. Very classy. Love the service. Exceptional views. Awesome rental sup boards, views is amazing, parking lot gets full pretty quickly and service needs to be improved. Been there twice and rented a paddle board. Both time there are some issues. Basically you are timed from the moment you paid (and you are really timed, no kidding, they write down the time you have to bring it back on the receipt that you have to give back at the end). First time they took 10 minutes before they realized that they haven't given me my paddle board. Second time they gave me a broken paddle and the guy disappeared before another Co worker realized I was here waiting for my paddle and ran to give me one. So yeah, rental services can be improved, especially that it is pretty pricey for the SUP.

This review mainly concerns the rental service. I would give the rental service 1star but the scenery/ambiance 4 stars. Due to COVID, they only allow for min 3hrs rental or full day. And they also inflated their prices due to having to sanitize the kayaks/canoes. You can’t reserve online. The lineup for rental was one hour long, and even when you pay, you have to wait another 20min to get a kayak, which eats into the time you have. The people that are taking the kayaks in/out and need to sanitize are understaffed. So it’s a long wait! There is a strong current, but there is enough to kayak/canoe around for 3hours and not become repetitive. You see two big highways though which takes away from the “away from city” feel. The worst part of my experience, is because we waited so long and had our kayaks at end of day, we returned our kayaks 5min before closing and then weren’t allowed to use the bathroom. The manager did not want to let us, even though they close 5min after, and the toilets were not even clean by the cleaning crew yet. That attitude is unacceptable! customers should be able to use the facility for human necessities. I am from montreal, and probably won’t return back there.

This is one of the beautiful places for the nature lovers to simply get lost in a beautiful nature very close to the hectic urban centers.. If you enjoy Kayaking or Canoeing, this place is for you...Either rent one or bring your own, and go explore many islands that surrounds you. Most of the islands have picnic tables and Washrooms, so you can basically enjoy a day out with friends or families.... Also it is very pleasant place to fish ...

*BE CAREFULL* they are thieves that visit de parking lot while you do activities. Love this place, went for skating last Saturday, nice fire with chairs to warm up, easy access. Only thing is the ice is not so nice, a bit bumpy and cracked. Besides the fact that my car got vandalized while I was there, we had a nice visit.

Excellent place for kayaking, or acuatic sports, the water is calm and perfect to pass all day going from one Island to other, exploring and enjoying the scenic views. There is also a museum that shows some of the animals living there. The people on site was really nice and helpful. We are going to come back soon.

Very beautiful area to visit on a raft or a kayak. Consider two hours at the very minimum to go around. If you have the whole afternoon 3 to 5 hours you can definitely take your time and enjoy more. The price to rent is very well priced, you can enjoy it with your lover or your family equally

Park is easy to find. Not too far from Montreal. Free parking. Canoe, kayak (single and tandem), and SUP rentals. Rental centre well organized and focused on safety. Will not allow people to go out on the water if conditons are dangerous. Will explain emergency protocol in case of weather changes. Beautiful area with easy paddling. Self guided trails. Small hiking trails also available on the islands. A great place to spend an active day with friends and family.

The museum is a very good addition. I went there with my kid, spent an hour and then took the kayak. There is a map for the different paths and islands to pass by. You can make a quick hiking on one of them. A great outdoor activity.

Be careful with Summer Camp Econature, they will rip out your money. Read the policy, if you cancel on less than 8 business days, not 7 days as it is written, they will keep your money or if you have the chance to cancel they will take 20% and will reimburse on a cheque 5 days later, even if you paid cash or with debit card... We never had these issues prior years somewhere else. So my advise, do not book too much time ahead, or book someone with better policies. As we couldn't cancel one week my daughter went to the camp («Dans la peau d’un biologiste»), first day it was raining, she got all wet and they put them in a place to dry their clothes... but over them!!!... then in the afternoon they went on boats but as it was raining in AM the boats were all wet inside... summary next day 40 C fever, headache and pain... so finally she lost the whole week and I have to stay home and miss my job.... not helpful at all as summer camp.

A little expensive, but overall a really nice park. There's lots of poison ivy around the islands, but it's well identified. The structure is under construction at the moment, so parking is a little iffy, but manageable if you don't arrive too late. Overall, I really like the place! It's great for teaching groups, or for a casual canoe stroll.

This is such a great place to learn to paddle or just to enjoy the river. The park has a large choice of equipment that is in relatively good shape. There is a new information centre that is due to open shortly and the facilities are very good. Very nice staff, a warm welcome and a safe environment to explore.

I've been there 3 times over the past 3 years and will be returning again and again! They have rabaska (large canots up to 10 adults, sturdy and stable!), affordable (under $150 per day). The staff is very friendly and welcoming! The islands are really cool to visit and there are many of them

(Original) Bel endroit et très bien organisé. 3 étapes simples: kiosque d’information dès l’arrivée avec explications complètes sur les activités et tarifs, ensuite kiosque de location et paiement, VFI et accessoires, puis finalement on descend pour prendre l’embarcation qu’on nous a préparé. J’ai vraiment apprécié le personnel en nombre plus que suffisant, leurs conseils et capacité à nous aider à choisir le type d’embarcation et activité. Visité le 3 juillet 2021.

I took an introductory kayak course this morning. What an amazing team. One of the young ladies Camille went out of her way to help me, she gave me lots and tips and tricks. She was not working today , yet she took the time to help myself and others. She was my personal cheering team, I can't thank her enough. The two guides were also great but I got one and one attention thanks to Camille. Well organized , on time and friendly staff. Looking forward to my next visit.

We spent a very enjoyable sunday afternoon at this nature reserve. They have lots of picnic tables, spotless public restrooms and it's a great place to rent out a canoe, kayak or SUP to explore the nearby islands. We rented a canoe, it's a minimum of 3 hours and that gives you just enough time to go around the river & explore some of the islands. We stopped at Kennedy island, Ile des fraises & Ile des Juifs! You get to see geese, chipmuncks and all kinds of fauna. You are given a life jacket but getting in and out of the canoe can get tricky. Also be prepared to get an upper body workout especially when going against the current.

There is also the bike path that starts from old Ste-Rose and runs along the river. Very nice interpretation center of the Milles-Îles river where you can rent kayaks, canoes etc. There is also a place to launch our own boats. There are several ducks, geese and ... I saw a Great Blue Heron. (Original) Très bel endroit aménagé avec plusieurs tables de pique-nique. Nous sommes vraiment au bord de la rivière, c'est très agréable. Il y a aussi la piste cyclable qui part du vieux Ste-Rose et qui longe la rivière. Très beau centre d'interprétation de la rivière-des-Milles-Îles où on peut louer des kayaks, canots etc. Il y a aussi unendroit pour mettre à l'eau nos propres embarcations. Il y a plusieurs canards, bernaches et...j'ai vu un Grand Héron.
