Had the most amazing time dog sledding today with my family. The staff is super nice and happy, the dogs are beautiful and the trails and forest were amazing! Highly recommend. Such a cool and fun experience.

Amin Ameri

Awesome Lovely staff. Super cute dogs. I was unlucky to catch any fish though. Lol

Brendan Kennedy

Well run, great scenery and thoroughly enjoyable for our family. It totally exceeded our expectations. We took our 4 year old and 18month old and they loved it. Thank you to the staff and dogs!

(Translated) Very good for a first experience. Beautiful landscapes. A bit expensive in the end for an hour out. I will not renew at this place but I recommend it for a first. (Original) Très bien pour une première expérience. Beaux paysages. Un peu cher au final pour une sortie d’une heure. Je ne renouvellerai pas à cet endroit mais je le conseille pour une première.

Highly recommend this place! It was an easy trip from Quebec, the dogs were very well cared for, and the guides were all great. We had a fantastic time on the trail, and enjoyed petting the dogs and puppies before and after the tour. This was by far the best thing we did during our visit!

(Translated) Superb experience. Our guide Leandre and the staff are absolutely amazing! Our 6 year old daughter was able to sled with the help of the guide as we followed with our sled. You are in good hands with the staff and especially the dogs :) to be redone !!!! (Original) Superbe expérience. Notre guide Leandre et le staff sont absolument incroyable ! Very competent staff: My wife and I booked a 1hr dogsled ride and enjoyed a lot! The ride was amazing with a breathtaking view! After the ride, we also played with the puppies for several minutes. The shuttle service guy was also very entertaining and friendly.

Akash Gurm

Great experience

Dog sledding was awesome!

(Translated) I go there every year and it's always a pleasure. The setting, the guides, the dogs ... I love it! (Original) J'y vais chaque année et c'est toujours un bonheur. Le cadre, les guides, les chiens...J'adore!

XP Mi-Loup provided a very fun dog sledding experience. All the dogs look well taken care and friendly. The staff was knowledge and able to answer all questions. After the sledding we got to pet all the dogs and meet play with the puppies. I recently finished the book "call to the wild" by Jack London and was able to witness a lot of the traits described in the book well on the trail. Thanks for the experience XP Mi-Loup.

Lucie Hampele

(Translated) Very nice two-hour walk in a magical and snow-covered landscape. Great guide. The place is sumptuous. Just disappointed with the living conditions of dogs with only one barrel for a kennel and very (too many!) Many, their comfort should be revised upwards ...

Hillary Wessels

Amazing!! The staff are wonderful, and the dogs are so so cute! Thanks for letting us see the puppies!

Stacey Reeves

Whistler does it better. Still, a good time.

Nicole Uritsky

Amazing experience! Visiting the puppies at the end of the sledding trip was the cherry on top! Only downside was that I was alone on my sled therefore it was very easy for the dogs to pull me, and were therefore going faster than all other sleds, but I was not in front so we kept bumping into the sled in front. If you know you're going to be alone on the sled, I recommend asking to be on the first sled so that you don't have to keep your foot on the break to slow the dogs down.

Willia Langland

Very horrible place, dogs are mistreated, have no water or place to hide from very cold weather. Even the little babies are out in the cold. They are beaten and kicked. The owners are horrible.. don’t ever encourage this treatment of animals for your pleasure.

The Anterra

Awesome!

Alexander

The dog sled in front of mine was really slow and held everyone up an extra half an hour :(

Emil Mihaileanu

Extraordinary experience! Loved every second and will go back every year! Even my 5 year old was thrilled about the dog sledding! You can't miss this! You really have to try it! Lovely dogs and fantastic service!

David Jones

Once in a lifetime experience!

Chip Gentry

Dog sledding and snowmobiling, a lot of fun. Friendly staff, but cold.

Amanda Peña

Friendly people and a wonderful experience

elvis james

One of the more interesting things I've done in life. Staff just helpful and warm, beautiful dogs

Liam Scobie

What an amazing experience, friendly helpful staff from the moment of arrival

Olivier

Very nice ride and the dogs are very kind to humans!

Mary Pat Cornett

Happy health dogs, friendly safe guide Sushi Matt, and a beautiful ride through the fields and forest. Great ride!!

John Tobin

Great place for a dog sledding experience! You can actually 'drive' the sled, riding on the back, which is a lot of fun. Drive is in quotes since the dogs pretty much run and follow the trail and lead sled.

Estrella Karina Luna

Unique and incredible experience, they show you how to drive the slide yourself. To see the dogs running and enjoying it is really beautiful. They rent the necessary gear for it. And at the end they take you to the kennels and let you share with the puppies. Totally worth it.

Mostafa Oubellouch

(Translated) Great place to visit, for a great dog sledding experience, highly recommend for families (Original) Super endroit à visiter, pour une belle expérience de traîneau à chiens, fortement conseiller pour les familles

Aleshia Horn

Great transfer service. The dogs seemed to love it and playing with the puppies was a great experience.

Harry Rubin

Pretty disappointed, but I did have fun. I was looking forward to this for months since I am from a place that rarely snows, and I have never seen dog sledding in my life. I tried to book months ahead to book two hours and the lady told me I can only do an hour and a half at 9 AM. It was not an hour and a half. They didn't even bother booking for that long. I'm but an hour of holding the breaks while the dogs strain themselves to go fast is sad to watch. We could not go faster, because some of the guests wanted to go REALLY slow. I felt bad for the dogs and my wallet. The 5 minutes of going fast was fun I suppose. They tried o make up for it by letting me do an hour of ice fishing for free, but that's not why I came to Quebec City. After spending $100, which included the shuttle, cannot recommend this to anyone. Buyer beware.

Kaled HF

It was awesome, no doubt about that

Joel Wasserman

Excellent experience on the snowmobile and dog sleds. Friendly, entertaining and professional staff. Matt & Maryan (Banana) at check in explained everything in a warm and charming manner that got you ready for your adventure. Alex was excellent with the dog sledding, explaining and guiding us along the dog trail, not missing a thing. While Eddie guide us on the snowmobile for a fast pace & exciting thrill ride! Expédition Mi-Loup is truly an excellent adventure!

julie

All the dogs looked healthy and definitely wanted to run but they are chained up with only a couple of feet to move around. They all have plastic barrels beside them where they can enter for shelter and I was told they are outside all year. If you are sensitive to the needs of animals like myself be prepared for this as it really freaked me out. I could not enjoy the ride as I couldn't keep my eyes off the dogs. They sometimes got tangled and it freaked me out and I was fearful we would bump them with the sled. One dog cut his mouth on ice I presume and was bleeding. They all are trying to eat snow on the run, obviously they are thirsty. We did get to meet some puppies which was awesome but one puppy who had only been there 3 days wouldn't come out of his barrel and was so scared. My heart breaks for this pup and I'm still thinking about him and wondering if he will be ok. The staff were all very nice and answered all my questions. My family thought it was amazing!! I'm just too sensitive and unfortunately could not enjoy myself.

(Translated) Despite a spring snow, soft and wet, a very beautiful experience. A charming welcome, and a ride to the top (Original) Malgré une neige de printemps, molle et mouillée, une très belle expérience. Un accueil charmant, et une balade au top

Rubi Bordignon

The owners of this company were I charge when dogs were being gased, it’s sick and horrible

K M

Dog sledding was the highlight of the trip! The dogs clearly love what they do. They got distracted a few times, but I think they would be more focused on one of the longer runs with fewer people in the line of sleds. Even if you rent the winter gear, bring something to cover your face.

Fatou Calista

Super experience

R VanAndel

we were treated very well by the staff. they even made me a cup of coffee from their staff area while we waited for the ride back. the ride was fun and fast.

(Translated) New owner Tanya is passionate about her job as a musher. She and her team can give you a great dog sledding experience, and then you can go see the little puppies. I strongly recommend XP Mi-Loup to everyone. ❤???? (Original) Nouvellement propriétaire Tanya est passionnée par son métier de musher. Summer Gao

We did the snowmobile and my kids did the dog sledding. It was cold but the scenery was so beautiful. We all enjoyed the activities. I would totally recommend this place.

Jonathan Dumas

Amazing place! If you can go for the trio of dog sledding, snow mobile and ice finishing a fun and fullfilling day.

bella belar

Ride and dogs and staff were fine . My only issue is that no one on the staff told us when to change driver and rider. We were asked to change sleds midway into ride to give our more “docile” dogs to an older couple. But we were never told to switch to give both people in my party a chance to drive. Also we were told by our hotel, Frontenac, that we would be given refreshments. They did not even have bottled water to purchase.

Bill Colbert

Do not go to this place, they will rip you off. I booked dog sled & snowmobiling through our hotel two weeks in advance for our 4 kids and us, when we got to Quebec the temperature had dropped, we checked with them the day before to make sure everything was still OK, they said yes and to show up. We arrived on time the next day and checked in, when our guide showed up she told us the conditions were unsafe especially for kids as the temperature on the plains were -40C. As this was a safety issues I expected not to be charge but they hit me for $956.00 CAD and told me that it was there policy, so we are out all that money for nothing. Very disappointing as this was our family vacation and we could have use this money for something else with the kids.

Stacey Daniels

Guide left us a couple of times, but it was an great experience, one off the buckey list

(Translated) Extraordinary experience with the whole team and the fabulous Mi-Loup expedition dogs. Everything was perfect, we highly recommend the trio of activities which allow a real discovery and initiation to dog sledding, snowmobiling and ice fishing (the trout were there !!!). Thank you to Tania and Bruno, you are at the top, your head full of beautiful projects that we wish you, will come true. Your passion drives you and you know how to share it. We feel that we are not in a factory in ..., simply taking care to listen to this team of enthusiasts and to observe! Here the dogs are blooming and it shows, all the staff is attentive, we feel a very beautiful energy, in short we had a wonderful time with the family. Thanks also to Carl for your availability. We were given time to enjoy every activity and every moment especially with the dogs, no stress and that added to everything else made our experience so unique. The best experience EVER !!! I felt like a real musher during the one hour ride (which can be physical). The snowy landscapes were wonderful ! The dogs were very nice. You can see they are happy, well treated. The staff has even rescued some dogs mistreated from another kennel, you easily see the difference with the other dogs. The staff is very welcoming, young and dynamic. We learned a lot about the dogs (what they eat, what do they do during summer time, why do they like eating snow...). Don’t hesitate to ask questions. We had a good time with the puppies, they are so cuuuute ! It is possible to do a trio of activity with ski-doo and snowshoe (or fishing on ice when weather condition are okay) but we didn’t choose this pack (lack of time). In conclusion, I definitely recommend this place !

James S (Jimmy)

I didn't know what to expect... 1. There was miscommunication and we missed the bus ride but we were never given clear instructions so I was very annoyed at first... HOWEVER, when I called, the lady said to cab it over and they would pick up the tab. This was very generous and awesome especially since the cab ride was over $60 from our hotel downtown Quebec. 2. I thought it was going to be an overpriced tourist trap but i had a great time!!! When else would I go on a dog sled?!? The scenery was beautiful and it was actually very fun. The hour long ride was perfect (30 mins per rider). 3. All the staff were wonderful and so kind. One of the staff looked at my gloves and told me to use there's instead since mine would potentially get wet and be not warm enough so they lent me there's at no extra charge. I wish I had time to do additional activities so next time I will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

(Translated) Dogs are in their element! It's really impressive to see them go and they look happy! I misunderstand the negative comments, maybe people who have a "trinket" image of their little satchel dogs? If I were a huskie, I would want to be born here!

(Translated) Me and my partner had a great afternoon in dog sledding! Our guide Robin was super nice and made sure we had the best experience. it seems that the dogs are happy there !! seeing the puppies and dogs at the end of the walk makes the experience even more fun. I 100% recommend this great place. thank you to all of you, we will absolutely go back. (Original) Moi et mon conjoint avons eu un super bel après midi en traineau à chiens! We came here while in QC on our honeymoon and had a blast! Our guide was informative but succinct, leaving time for questions and instructing us throughout the ride. He was so friendly that we ended up standing outside talking to him about our lives even after the ride was over. All of the employees we met are definitely in the ranking for best service we've received here in Canada yet! About the living conditions of the dogs... These dogs absolutely love their jobs and it was clear to me that they are happier even than many domestic dogs. At first sight I was a bit skeptical. Then I realized that these animals (that is what they are, animals) see humans and begin to howl and cry with excitement, not distress. They want affection and they want to be "walked." When all 200+ of them began to bark and run at the same time, I was a bit afraid. Then I approached one and he basically leapt into my arms and tried to lick me. Each dog I went by wanted to be petted and scratched and loved on. Miserable dogs aren't affectionate, they're aggressive. These pups are having the time of their lives when they get to go on their runs with an excited rider who whoops and hollers to wind them up. They get regular breaks during the ride and it's clear that they're well adapted to their environment. I feel sure these pups are better off outside here in Canada than the domestic huskies back home in Texas. My husband and I have learned from our experience working with horses that certain nosy people will always cry abuse and neglect when they see working animals, but they never seem to understand that animals are bred to work, not just to look pretty and sit on people's laps. We discussed these dogs at length and truly believe that a working dog who feels a sense of purpose is much happier than a dog who feels no sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. People with little understanding of animals damage and destroy great businesses like this expedition, especially when they see a cut or tuft of fur missing, but that's part of the game with athletic animals. This isn't a place to go if you can't bear to see dogs doing what they were born to do. But if you're adult enough to realize that some things are okay just as they are, you'll have the time of your life gliding over the snow and through nature. Just be sure to show the dogs some love and slow down before the curves!

(Translated) A warm welcome, very attentive to customers, superb activities, magnificent views. The dogs are superb and work super well, they have gouache and the desire to work at the cleat. Saw your report on W5 and you should ashamed on how you treat the very same dogs that you profit from!! Everyone, don't be fooled by this ''new owner Tanya". Élisabeth Leclerc and Antoine Simard are still the same owners now (Feb 2022) as when they were busted for gassing dogs to death a couple of years ago. Check them out on the Registraire des Entreprises Québec. Proof!!

Ton of fun

Deplorable conditions for the animals - RUN as fast as you can AWAY from this place. I would NEVER support this business ????

Michel Samovojski

Very horrible place, dogs are mistreated, have no water or place to hide from very cold weather. Even the little babies are out in the cold. They are beaten and kicked. The owners are horrible.. don’t ever encourage this treatment of animals for your pleasure

I'm in Québec with my family for a few days for the Holiday season and decided to book the dog sledding experience on a whim. We got lucky. They had a cancellation (don't count on it, book well ahead), we jumped at the opportunity and had a blast! What a cheerful and helpful crew, and the experience was fantastic. It's not a staff-driven sled where you sit back and relax. No, you get to drive the sled yourself, control the dog team and all. Breaking is super hard, especially if you're small built - it will take all your might. I heard it was tougher today because of the shallow snow and ice buildup. Worth every penny though, I would highly recommend it and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Best experience my girls had in our visit to Québec in their own words. Shoutout to Leandre (?) who was super outgoing and helpful. Oh, and BTW, the dogs are not mistreated at all. You can see that by how they enjoy human affection and by how incredibly eager they are to run - they can barely be stopped. They are treated properly as the sled dogs they are. Most negative reviews here seem to me to come from people who would have animals live like couch potato lapdogs. These dogs are strong work animals who absolutely thrive in winter and pulling a sled.

Nice place, kind staff, best puppies. Highly recommended! Have an unforgettable memory there!

(Translated) Super nice experience for us and our children (2 and a half and 5 years old)! They loved it and so did we. Our guide Carl was super attentive on the tour, he explained very well how to steer the sled, we had no problems on our route! Very nice landscape, for 1 hour, here nothing more, neither the grocery list, nor your work! Just the dogs and you! What touched me the most was their attention to their dogs, they take great care of them! Several times we stopped to give them a little break, the human side is clearly there !!! I highly recommend, you will like it a lot! We will come back for sure!

Made a reservation on the phone with Tony and was not told to arrive 30 mins before my activity. Once I arrived, because we were “late” we were rushed and was not able to prepare properly. Once we were on route the guide seemed iratated that we had to turn back because my children were cold. It was not a good experience and I will not be coming back. You get what you pay for-yes it’s a good deal but I wished we would have paid more and perhaps had better service.

Mariah Alex

We just finished spending a morning here dog sledding. It was a lot of fun and great experience The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. I was nervous at the start but so worth it!

Candice Howrish

This company is abusive to dogs, these people exploit defenseless animals!

Alisha Stephens

Dog sledding was beautiful and such a great experience. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Shuttle service from Quebec City was great.

Dilfran Costa

(Translated) Very cool to have this experience. Worth it for those who like adventure and excitement. For those who do not like it, getting to know the place is enough. It is possible to ride a motorcycle in the snow and fish on the ice. (Original) Muito legal de ter esta experiência. Vale a pena para quem gosta de aventura e emoção. Para quem não gosta, conhecer o lugar é o suficiente. É possível andar de moto na neve e pescar no gelo.

We booked online - be sure to book in advance because they are popular. We drove ourselves and arrived 45 minutes before our appointment. They recommend arriving 30 minutes early. Because of the snow our car could not make it up the drive but we parked on the street. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We did not rent any extra clothing but you can if you want (they have plenty of cold weather gear.) the staff explains how to steer the dog sleds etc and then you start. It was a beautiful ride - cold, clear, and snowy. We had a blast. the dogs are amazing - friendly and cute. The staff follows on snow mobiles to make sure everything is okay with the dogs. After the dog sled trip through the woods, you can visit the puppy kennels. It was an experience of a lifetime. I would definitely recommend mi loup

Gayle Cole

Best part of my whole trip! A "do not miss" experience!!!

subbu nair

Fun ride on the snow mobile! Jason who was our guide and savior was brilliant!

Saski Gjelsvik

We arrived at the cabin and the staff immediately began to tell us that our outerwear was not suitable for the conditions (which we saw as considerate) but then they started naming their price to rent shoes, snow pants, hats and gloves which changed with each worker you spoke to. It averaged $5 for each article but speaking to different workers you got different answers. Considering the price to begin with, you’d expect a little generosity with abundance of supplies they had that weren’t even being used. A lady rushed in while we were getting ready and was yelling at the workers about an accident she had just gotten in while out dog sledding, saying she had crashed into trees because it hadn’t been supervised and she wasn’t advised on how to control the sled. The worst thing about it all, however, was the conditions the dogs were in. You walk outside and see 100+ huskies on 3 feet chains attached to their own individual poles that was next to a crappy plastic barrel with some hay thrown in it (their home). You could see and hear the distress the dogs were in, with some shivering so hard they could barely move, some with open sores and frost bitten skin, desperately whimpering and violently shivering and crying while it was all being called “hype” by the workers. It seemed like something you would see in an online video and want to cry about. These dogs were lonely and freezing and couldn’t move more than the 3ft radius they were contained in. With all the money they were charging for the sledding, you would expect these poor dogs to be at least on longer leashes for their entire lives. Or indoors and not chained to a pole that impeded on their ability to be the pack animals they are?? During the very long ride, you’d see 4 or 5 dogs together in small cages randomly placed in the middle of barren fields in -30 degree Celsius weather. I get that these dogs are capable of surviving temperatures colder than this, but this is only because they are able to huddle and run to keep their blood moving and warm. What I experienced and witnessed was cruel and way out of line in terms of the inhumane conditions these dogs were in. One of the dogs was clearly blind, and one of my dogs was clearly frost bitten and injured. You could tell they were struggling due to the forced over exertion they were subject to. They were clearly distressed and it was so sad and i completely regret spending money at this establishment. Especially since it clearly doesn’t go towards the health or protection of the dogs. Would not recommend to anyone with a heart.

(Translated) An unforgettable experience ???? A dream come true! Dogs are so adorable and cuddly. Contrary to some comments left, they lack nothing and especially not good care and love.
