Neat spot for a hike, a bike ride or a game of Frisbee Golf. Make sure you check out the large Totem Pole and walk along one of the first Welland Canals.

Disc Golf Course is unreal. Such a unique, free attraction to have in the city. The big con: The homeless crowds that litter the entire place. You come across campsites and dumpings of garbage when walking through it, sometimes tents and people there occupying holes on the course. Could be a great area but there's no authority there stopping them from occupying it.

I went there only one time.

Awesome spot for a walk, nice little loop, just be mindful of your surroundings and you'll enjoy your walk!

I love this park. It has a fantastic disc golf course and giant loop path around a narrow canal that is beautifully picturesque. Wedding photos could easily be taken in the summer around the giant weeping willows. I think a second bridge in the centre of the trail could be a very positive but not essential addition. The people who use the park are generally very friendly as well and will give you a wave and say hello. But where did the totem poll go? I would love to see it back.

Relaxing place

It's not a safe place. A lot of fights, drunks and drug issues. If you go, I advise not going alone.

Nice disk golf course, like the over the water holes. Most holes were nicely maintained and clean, some holes had used needles and trash.

Great place to visit

This is a nice park that's been left on it's own for way too long. The community garden space is really nice, and gives a great opportunity for locals to grow their own food. The city has allocated a fair bit of funding for cleanup and repairs to the park infrastructure, and I see that they've been working on the paths and stairs. Look for this to be a really nice place for a walk in the next 6 months or so.

Nice disc golf course, watch out for the tents.

First time playing a course in Canada. Enjoyed the layout and how well it was maintained. Only downfall is all the sketchy homeless people wandering around and living in the area.

Awesome little disc golf course. Helped to clean up the area. Still some trash that needs to be picked up but nice 18 hole course. Medium difficulty.

Cant wait until they get the park all cleaned up and FINALLY install the proposed disc golf course. That should make the undesirables move along to somewhere else and we can have a nice, safe park again

Would benefit from having a few more of those '2x4' benches around (the ones that are at a few of the disc golf tee-offs).

Beautiful park

I would recommend you be careful at this park...

Great disc golf course. Too many junkies with needless throughout the park though.

It is a nive park with disc golfing

Nice place just to take a walk and enjoy the scenery

Clam and neat!

Hard to rate this place. Great disc golf, nice park, but... Junkies and garbage everywhere and it seems the city does not care. More people sleeping on the ground or benches than garbage cans. Too many vagrants drying out their laundry on historical plaques. The river is most likely super polluted with a nice milky colour after it rains. They just spent a fortune cleaning and putting in beautiful steps and a pavillion. Unfortunately the stairs are filthy with needles and the pavillion is the permanent home for unsavory junkies. The pictures are not even close to the worst spots.

Frisbee Golf

Big selection beautiful gardens

lovely trails and scenery right in the heart of st Catharines. Many side paths and things to explore as well.

Great place to walk and clear you mind

Good 4 sleep

Just wondering what the Frisbee people think when they walk down the stairs to go get their freebies

This area is very sacred too bad its left a mess by some ppl not gonna label ???? anyone . when its at its best the park is beautiful and can relax sometimes when you walk the trail its almost like you traveled somewhere else or i just need to lay off the pot ????.

Its a nice place to go for a walk or play disc golf. Some areas need to be cleaned up of garbage and stuff but dont let that stop you from visiting.

Amazing on a beautiful day

Grew up in the area

Nice day

A great hidden frisbee golf course is placed throughout this area. Being close to the downtown, you can walk over straight from the bus station or after having a nice lunch downtown. Walking down into the gardens moves you away from city noise. Great artwork is hidden throughout.

A beautiful park, totally underutilized. Marbe 5 people will pass by in an hour.

Beautiful walking trail, old canal relics, community garden!

Great little forgotten gem of the city...

Beautiful

River running through treed area. Community gardens with friendly gardeners.

They tore the hospital down and now all the bums noves back

The 18 hole frisbee golf course is a lot of fun. Lots of the holes have hills, trees, water, etc that make them tricky and challenging. Very nice park and area overall. Happy we stopped by to play.

Having observed the work our cities volunteers, municipal workers and contractors have carried out in the park this past while, and , initially I was against such drastic clearing in such a short period of time, thankfully mother nature was helping as well by sending us a mild winter- providing some buffer for the parks full time residents... those winged and four legged ones...those unfortunately that have used the park in the past for a place to sleep or carry out their sad routines are helpless and they need as much help as anyone perhaps we can house them in the local apartment suites with a per diem, I digress, if we all work as hard as the folks did this winter and keep the park to a high standard henceforth we will be rewarded in amazing ways. So thanks for all the selfless effort and everyone else the poopiesacs are by the garbage cans. We pray for the unfortunate and those who despise them.

Fun course for a casual player. The holes are, for the most part, long and narrow with some frustrating obstacles that sometime seem needless. The club that maintains the holes do a great job and are very dedicated. It’s too bad it’s in such a seedy part of town. My friends and I have often come across needles, empty booze bottles and homeless people taking up residence in the bush. It’s a fun course none the less and it’s great for Niagara Region folk that don’t want to drive to Hamilton or pay at the course in Welland.

A natural beautiful place of peace.

Great until you walk down the path

A nice place that i passed through safely and briefly via scooter.

I can't speak this park before... but man it's sure gross now, and DANGEROUS. I mean, it's still maintained, and groomed. But, used needles riddle the sides of walkways and trash bins with trash over flowing in some areas. There is a homeless camp setup in a few areas. The disk golf course is fantastic... just wear some stab-proof socks so your don't accidentally try heroin!

Very nice place for relaxing

Very beautiful views Close to transportation But scary area ;lots of unleashed dogs and lots of homelessness

Beautifully maintained - a lovely walk with a neat Frisbee Golf course running through it.

Wonderful place to take a lovely walk through nature right in downtown St Catherines. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our whole afternoon walking around the park

Lovely place to visit :)

Filthy. The city really needs to get in there and do some maintenance. Love the frisbee golf course.

An amazing course that has transformed the area. The people who are committed to developing the disc golf course stew inspirational. I'll be back to visit from Toronto. Keep up the good work!

Not a good park!!! Beware!!!!!

Very dirty and lots of drug paraphernalia laying around

Beautiful scenery, and frisbee throw course. A little concerning with needles buckets, etc.

I can't believe myself, this is the first time Ive been here and WOW, a community garden, a disc golf course and interesting people as well????????

This is a wonderful park and a lot is being done to improve the park, such as the addition of the disc golf course. However there is still lots of broken glass and evidence of drug use throughout the park. It's a nice place during the day, but I would stay away at night.

This is a beautiful park. A large circular path around the old canal surrounded by old willow trees, and an interesting frisbee course... Since the pandemic, the park has made some of the desperation in St Catharines more visible, with illegal tents set up and used needles scattered in the grass. We really need better community services because this seems to be one of the only places people go when they're down on their luck. Today I called an ambulance for a man I found in the park who had overdosed... I don't feel safe letting my son play here anymore, and I worry about what kind of opportunities there will be for him in this city.

Used to love coming here for a nice walk on the weekends; you can tell people care about it as they've renovated the bridge and added the disc golf... But unfortunately it's become a campsite for the homeless, those dealing with mental health and also drug users. It isn't a comfortable place to go walking anymore. My by heart goes out to them, I know there aren't many places for them to go...

Nice and quiet walking place. Just be careful with the disc golf course ????

Nice walk, needs a little bit of spring cleaning

This place is incredible. Pictures will speak on my behalf. Unfortunately lots of plastic trash on the nature. Free parking free entry. Has two chemicals washroom, place for picnic. Trails …

Nice if you stick to the path and ignore signs of homelessness and drug abuse.

Beautiful

Well maintain ed

It was very interesting

Would like to see the totem pole replaced.

nice walking path with a community garden in the summer and parking lot on site

Changed my whole perception of life. Grateful to be able to go there tomorrow for a jog.

Great park to visit I love it their especially the walking trail

Just us and a few frisbee golfers in the park on Sunday. Beautiful day to walk the loop. There were lots of animal tracks, and ducks in the water.

The scenery is good

This park is nothing short of amazing now that its all cleaned up and the community garden is thriving.

Wonderful place, it has undergone a huge transformation from the state it was in years ago. As someone who regularly ran through here then and now, it's great to see such positive changes, it's a smooth 2K gravel loop, mixed shade and gets good use by the community now.

Nice trail, very sad there are homeless living in tents

One my go to places to think and relax

Nice

I loved visiting centennial gardens. My date And I had a great afternoon of stopping and smelling the flowers. (No pun intended lol). It's nice to switch it off and just enjoy the views and have a nice quiet place for conversation with pleasant company. I would strongly suggest it for a nice quiet family outing. Kids have a great deal of flowers and nature to enjoy and maybe even learn a little something. So pick a nice day and pack up the family and lunch and go get out there, you won't regret it ????

Great place to walk/run or cross country ski, also disc golf course available

Relaxing day out of the home. Nice place to revisit.

Really good place to fish

A beautiful and serene park with a small lake going through! A good place to get your act together!

Beautiful totem poles. So nice to be able to sit and enjoy nature.

Good walking trail, but the Johnny on the spots haven't been emptied for awhile.

Homeless people everywhere. Trash everywhere.

A place for a walk, and play some disc golf.

This place used to be beautiful, with trees and wildlife flowing everywhere. You couldn't even see to the other side of the creek because of how healthy the forestry was. Now all of that is gone and I would say about 70% has been cut down in order to implement " Freezbie Golf". It's a joke. I used to go with my family and have a blanket across a hill to have a picnic... now we cant do that let alone walk around without a "golfer" and his crew asking us to relocate because of their "game". All the wildlife just left and found another home... probably to the other side of the street where the forestry hasn't been adjusted for this foolish game. So sad.

Centennial Garden Saturday haunt of Bear Clan patrol

Beautiful place to walk and play disc golf!!

Beautiful trail. City takes good care of it.

Getting better the beauty hasnt changed. Alot more work has been done. Awesome disc golf course

Nice place

18 Disc golf course also there

Clean and friendly

Beautiful hidden gem of a park

Played disc golf here. Not the nicest course I have played due to the garbage and waste left their by the homeless

Fabulous downtown St. Catharines park.

It takes a certain kind of person to give up their time and effort to make others lives worth living. That's something you can't learn. You have compassion or you don't. Don't help cause you need to. I'd rather you stay at home. Give your time because you want to.

Beauty

Nice place to walk your dog. There are a number of historical markers with information about the first and second Welland canal that ran through here in the 18 hundreds.

I love it

People lease your dogs. Don't assume all dogs are great with others, some need more space & do not like to be approached by an unfamiliar. Stupid owners

Good little store convent spot at times

Nice place to walk or ride your bike.

Disc golf course is not well maintained at all, the elevation change for the course is nice though

Just found out the park has a frisbee golf course. Pretty challenging and very fun

This park has the potential to be really nice just need to get rid of all the drug users

A great, peacful walk, with frisbee golf as well.

Nice place to walk during the day you can see the todem pole that has been standing for yrs. There is even a local community garden you can see ..the walking path goes by the old canal which the boats were pulled thru by horses.

Natural landscape trails gardens

Enjoyed a walk through the park. Nice.

Wow, Amazing

Chill 4 chill

Nice venue!

Great place to walk your dogs!

beware of the crazies'

One of the nicer parks to walk through in the area, peaceful and quiet

Great to walk and frisbee golf.

Nice park. Not much you can say about a park.

This park is the perfect place to relax and step on a needle. Disc golf is a blast.

Nice trails. Quiet.

Lovely!! Must try the disc golf

Lovely walk in the late afternoon.

Nice place

Needle Point Park

There's a totem pole and a frisbee golf course! Love it here.

This park is really nice and is great for walking, as it only takes about an hour to finish. It has some cool features like a disc golf course, garden and a totem pole.

Beautiful park that is right at the beginning of a revival. The new disc golf course is so much fun and I cannot wait to see this park and city reach its full potential.

dirty and horrible place ( lots of drug addicts and prostitutes ). it's not a place you wanna walk in the morning or evening hours.

Love my trails

Love it

Beautiful!!

The park has a lot of potential, there are some challenges with homeless people vying for space here and there, but all and and a good park that will only get better as the city has been working on improvements. As for 70% of the trees coming down, that is a ridiculous exaggeration. I know that trees are very very important, but when trying to get your point across, the truth is always best.

Nice park with walking trails.

Great place to relax and walk your dog.

Nice Park, great path for a walk or run

this is a little slice of magic ...in Niagara. the work that has been done to this place is commendable.. a community garden flourishes during the summer and an amazing disc golf course that is well maintained throughout the year.. perfect for a nice walk where you can gaze at the willow trees and follow the old canal stream that runs through it ..you are likely to make some friends along the way..

Has a full frisbee golf course

Went there to play disc golf homeless people camped out on the course needles and crack pipes everywhere. Simply tragic.

This place is a very beautiful very photo Worthy

I live here

It wasn't as good as I thought

Nice and calming trail

Beautiful place, quiet and long trail to catch your thoughts.

Disc Golf is awsome

Decent disc golf. It was muddy butvi believe it had some to do with the weather conditions. There were construction workers there working on the disc golf course. Hopefuly it turns out 5 star

Great course

Beautiful park... be cautious of drug paraphernalia

Very peaceful.

But for the grace of God

Nice park with lots of mature trees and natural shade, great place to let your dog stretch their legs.

Free camping and free frisbee golf awesome

A historical black history site.

Very nice

Nice parking. Enjoyed my visit however was not there for too long so my experience is based off that small time.

Me and my girlfriend took our dog for a walk during the day time in centennial gardens and we were attacked by a African American male ...we called the police there was nothing they could do cause there were no witnesses... but maybe if they cameras and lights down there they would of had their proof.. so this is not a safe park.

Course is maturing well. Has cleaned up dramatically.

(Translated) Nice senery snd frizbee golf (Original) Nice senery snd frizbee golf

I like to Ride my bicycle and go for walk's

Very pretty, nice trail to walk with the dogs however SYRINGES EVERYWHERE Do NOT let your children run down there, I pick them up everytime I see them but it's not enough unfortunately

It's a beautiful natural park

Disc golf course through a winding park. It needs some TLC still but it's becoming more and more beautiful. There's currently construction going on, but the results are looking pretty fantastic.

Nice scenery, community garden.. a disc golf game. Also they have a covered platform with picnic tables..

It's a hidden gem in the heart of Our City. I enjoy my walks around the park.

Very nice green, sustainable idea for growing your own food.

In the early morning it makes a nice place for a walk

This place is very nice to spend some alone time or be with your family. You can sit down somewhere or take a long walk as it is a very long trail. However, you need to be careful as they put a sign that coyotes were spotted here and it just says don't feed them. Not to be scared, I have been there several times but never seen one. There are parking lots at the beginning of the trial.

Beautiful Park

Could be a nice park if it wasnt completely littered with discarded syringes and crack pipes! It really is a shame that the city allows this to happen. Great history and location however overrun with drug addicts! Not really a safe place for anyone let alone children.

Amazing place to enjoy greenery and lonely time in summer sunny days. Go for a walk and enjoy chirping of birds.

Clean

So much potential for this park. Too bad city hall let's it get to this state, quite embarrassing actually

This is a beautiful area to take a walk. It could use a decent spring cleaning as there is a fair amount of debris and garbage that needs to be cleaned up. However I do enjoy walking this area, especially with my dog. Hopefully the city can clean it up a bit

Disc golf course is compact but hilly with some trees. Community garden and a small pavilion are nice additions. Unfortunately parking is woefully inadequate.

Nice place :)
