This place was way cooler than I thought it was going to be! Some of the dinosaur need a little fixing up, but overall it was a great afternoon with my kiddo and the dinos

sharmita paul

Loved it. If you kids love dianosaur, this place will be worth visiting. Kids can have some activities too, such as excavation, playing in the sand ground.

Richard Boulet

Awesome. I loved it, my daughter loved it, the dinosaurs were super cool. Some didn't seem to be working but with an attraction this big that's to be expected. Lots of mosquitoes, it's built on a marsh so that's a given. Just bring bug spray. Looks like they're building a campground for it now, which I think is a no-brainer. We'll definitely be returning and we'll be trying out the campground when it's open too! Only complaint was that the gift shop is cramped and hard to get around in if there's more than a couple families in there.

Melvyn Joseph

Nice trails....good for kids...detailed dinosaurs are displayed

EV

Had a good time my daughter who is 2 and a half loved seeing all the dinosaurs. Nice play found for the kids and little food place. The only thing that bugged me was we all paid to play mini golf but my daughter didn't want anything to do with it at all we tried 2 holes with her and nothing ... when I went to go give the clubs back and balls I told them that she didn't want anything to do with it and they said ok ... didn't even try to offer a refund for me and my daughter I was very disappointed in that when we paid for the whole 18 holes.

Kristen Mosdell

This would be a great place for someone with small (under 10) kids, even if they may not be interested in dinosaurs. A large playground and two stroller friendly trails with robotic dinosaurs that are activated when close. Also has a mini golf course, picnic area, gift shop, small simple consession (pizza/hotdog type snacks). At one point a staff member came out in a pretty cool dinosaur costume and all the guests could touch it. It made noise and looked like something out of a movie. I wouldn't say this place is a good spot for adults only, as it really is geared for kids. Pack bug spray!

Samuel Jones

Great experience the entire family loved it. But make sure you prepay for a time. We got to the door after waiting in line for 30 minutes only to find out at the door that you need to buy tickets before entering.

Chantelle Abma

We visited for the first time and the dinos were covered in snow but all still functional, really well made. Informative signage, a fun play area for little ones, great gift shop, we see the potential and will definitely be back in the summertime.

Michelle Urban

Our most recent visit was a nice surprise (seasonal pass holder), not only were there new dinosaurs but the existing dinos all had new paint jobs too! This is already a favorite place of ours, but we definitely loved the updates!

Linh Nguyen

Awesome place to go for half a day! There are motion sensors that you have trip to get the dinosaurs to move. Pretty cool! Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent!!!

Kristin Peters

We had such a great time here, despite it being a pretty busy pandemic Saturday! They have good safety protocols in place and it really reduced stress for us as we walked through. The two nature trails are awesome and the scenery was just as nice as the animatronics. There is a massive play space for children and an employee came out in a cool raptor costume at one point. Well worth the quick drive from Edmonton for a quick day trip!

Maninder Bindra

A good place to visit with kids, especially in summer. They have a good theme walk with Dinosaur models and they would make roaring sounds as you cross their path. Nice play area for kids and a mini golf course for those who love the sport. Overall a good spot to visit with family.

John No

Would be an awesome place to take kids, but even as an adult the kid in me loved it. Some displays are better than others but overall very neat place!

Becky Flowers

I love taking the kids here. The new mini golf was great, but I feel that the rest of the park is lacking. It needs a little more excitement and TLC. it's a great way to spend a day. and the hiking trails are nice.

Dallis Mc

Great way to spend the afternoon, organized, clean,

Syd Jacklin

A fun family outing, the dinosaurs are impressive in scale and the setting makes them seem even more realistic. The park layout and play area make it a great place to spend time with the kids.

Jordan The Watchman

Was a great experience for my 3 year old daughter and us too! Although if too many people are walking by the sensors, they don't work as well, you need a pause in between people. I really enjoyed it anyhow, and recommend it to anyone looking for something different to do.

Lis Marie

It’s an okay place to visit, only worth it if you go with kids like I did with my class. For the older kids, 6+, there’s not too much to do. It’s nice and scenic walking on the trails and finding dinosaurs but don’t go if it’s humid because even with a lot of heavy duty bug spray, the mosquitoes were everywhere! There is mini golf and some dinosaurs to climb but it’s a far drive when there’s not a lot to do. If you haven’t been before it could be interesting but between visiting times nothing changes and it’s all the same.

Amanda Legge

Very easy to social distance. You walk through the park with your own household. Ample sanitizer stations conveniently located throughout the paths. Gift shop is very affordable and easily picked 7 souvenirs for less then $35. 2 adults 3 children $55. Additional child $10

Kate Denison

Loved it! Went here on a date with my spouse and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It's quite a shirt walk around, so definitely something which you could do in a morning or an afternoon without spending the whole day there.

Carmelita Shebansky

We loved it! It was an awesome adventure, so close to Edmonton. We were considering taking a stroller but decided not to....was pleased to rent a little dinowagon for only 5$ that our little one loved.

Opal Courtney

We had a great time, and all the Covid protocols were clear, well explained and easy to follow. Lots of benches throughout for tired legs. Kids were super excited and learned lots. The movement of the dinosaurs makes it interesting for toddlers as well, since they see the movement. Cleaning attendant was working hard in the park area, making it a wonderful morning out. It is in a swamp, so remember bug spray and sunscreen! Easily stroller/wheelchair accessible

melissa

The best place to go see here! Take the whole family. It's so much fun.

Eithan

Love this place! It's an amazing view on educating kids and adults about Dinosaurs. If you take the time to talk to the guides as well as read the signs you can learn a lot!

George Hancock

My kids loved it here. Lots of stuff to see on the walk through the park.

Rhianna C Robins

Originally, I was thinking this was more of a family/childrens attraction but was still very keen on checking it out - and I'm glad we did! I was thoroughly surprised/pleased at how realistic the dinosaurs were! Fantastic outing for family, friends or a date alike. They've installed sensors on the trails so you often hear the dinosaurs before you can see them which added an interesting element and fun game of 'who can spot the dinosaur first'! Also lots of information about local wildlife and vegetation on signs throughout the trails. Big playground for the kids where they can also uncover 'dinosaur bones' under the sand. The short trek from Edmonton is very much worth it!

Joel Nieuwenkamp

Family friendly, good paths for strollers or wagons. Nice picnic area and sand/ playground. Family rate should really be regardless of size. Although prices were not outrageous, seemed reasonable for the activity received.

Ashu Goyal

Fun for kids????loved the dinosaurs moving and their sound????all the Covid protocols were taken care of well????

Tammy LaBine

An awesome place to visit! Both kids and adults will enjoy the exhibits. They have food on site, but you can also bring in your own food. They even have a picnic site. The trails are wide enough for both strollers and wheelchairs. Just bring bug spray!

Angela MacKenzie

Amazing place! A lot more dinosaurs than I was expecting and super friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Caterina Vaduva

Always a blast to see the Dino's! Motion sensored dinos in the forest with info! Great for kids of most ages.

Florian Vierzigmann

Great place North of Edmonton for a family visit. I liked how the dinosaurs are shown in the forest.

Tien Nguyen

Great place for kids. There is a huge play ground filled with sand. Adults will also enjoy taking a walk while kids can be amazed by those man made dinasours. Good location a young family picnic day. Dogs and bycicles may not be allowed. Just feel like this park/ forest is a little small. Hope it will expand in the future.

carla perry

Fun way to spend a few hours. Little kids will have fun looking for dinos during the walks. Decent mini golf, looks easier than it is.. but I still won!

DonatCarnegie

Great place! Loved the moving dinosaurs, and my kids had a blast learning all about them!

Deanna Sievers

Kids favorite place to go! It's a nice walk through 2 loops. Easy for little legs or a stroller.

Keith Karanjia

We took a group of kids aged 2-4 and they enjoyed the walk to see the dinosaurs. It's a little park and the animatronics are pretty neat. There is small playground kids will like and a small kiosk for food .

Terry Grenier (TFactoR)

Kids had a blast!!! Rained the whole time that's what made it the experience awesome like Jurassic Park! Wish the trails were longer!!!

Pi C.

Be sure to stay on the path or you may be eaten by the dinosaurs! Definitely a great experience for the dino lovers in all of us.

Janine Harrison

Amazing place to take the whole family! The kids had a blast!

Ifedayo Akinbodewa

The kids had fun, considering the fact that they have been seeing dinosaurs on TV.

Helena B

What a phenomenal 0lace to visit with children. With two nicely laid out trails through the forest, one finds many creatures lurking around. The big kind of creatures. A great sand out for the kids to play in for hours. Just a few minutes …

kelly davis

Omg what an amazing place. You have to go there

Chris W

My son says rrrrooooaaaarrrr. He loves it there. Nice walk for parents with a playground and dinosaurs for kids. We go a few times a year and it's a highlight for my son.

Kevin Humphrey

Great place to spend 2 hours. Went with my niece and nephew, they both loved it. Realistic dinosaurs, peaceful, easy, Covid-distanced walk.

Lynn A. Carino

If you like Dinosaurs then you will enjoy this place. Seeing Dinosaurs in "actual" size in the forrest was cool. Its a lot of walking. You will likely get bit by mosquitoes so bring bug spray. The mini golf was also fun. We spent about 4-5 hours total there.

Myles Mannix

Had a great time here. Lots of things to read and the dinosaurs are relatively active when viewing. The paths are laid out nicely with interesting facts along the way. The staff were very friendly and the grounds well kept. Fully stocked gift shop as well. Lots of room to have a picnic ore snack bar available. Cafe wasn’t open when we went mine you as it was close to the end of the season. Definitely taking the kids back during the summer.

Rose Dhessi

Overall good place ... spend 3 hours kids enjoyed. Need more bench and space to sit under shadow. Nothing upgraded dinosaur ???? side as i visit again after 7 years .. almost same but still kids enjoy so good to visit once

colourful64 able

Bring bug repellents !! Hmmm this is an interesting place especially for kids between 5 and 8. There was a lot of money initially spent on this place...the dinosaurs are real lifelike ... however the upkeep is not so great...such life like settings and then a huge speaker right out for all the world to see...or a ladder ... or a table cloth.it wouldn’t take much to hide a speaker ... or pick up a table cloth . it’s like they lost interest in it... still worth seeing but definitely over priced. There is a playground for children. But don’t expect anything interesting.. the dinosaurs on the playground look like they were spray bombed by a five year old... We didn’t use the mini golf. We spent about an hour and a half here. Feeding the mosquitos and trying to get the sensors to work Bring bug repellant And yes I see trying he response from the owner ... But shouldn't that all be done before the season starts? I already paid my money... So working on it half way through the season doesn't help me and the thousands of others that have seen it.. Have it ready for the season opening and then all you have to do is simple maintenance

MAGmediaONE

Amazing experience!!! Quality animatronic dinosaurs!!! Beautiful and peaceful walking paths. Great place for kids!!! Gift shop has a solid selection and is all reasonably priced. If I lived in this province we would be here quite a bit.

Juanita Cartwright

First time there. It was interesting. Lots to see and do for the kids. If go want to go when not real hot as its a lot of walking.

Tracy Howlett

The Jurassic Forest was definitely better than I imagined it would be. First of all, we felt very safe. The staff are doing a great job of making COVID-19 policies clear. The paths are well marked and we didn't feel crowded upon. As for the dinosaurs? They were great! The forest setting was perfect and they were spaced out enough to keep our little 2 year old seeking more around every corner. He did get scared a few times but was very brave overall. I'd definitely recommend for a fun half day (took us just over an hour to stroll through the two loops).

Brandon De Ochoa

A fun and interesting place to visit if you enjoying learning about dinosaurs and how they lived in the past.

Javier Rivas

Nice to spend half a day with the kids, quite a few big dinosaur animatronics, two educational walk through in the Jurassic forest and a minigolf. The playground is dated, you can bring your own food.

Artëm Gayardo-Matrosov

The kids loved it! Going to an actual museum afterwards, they were underwhelmed by exhibits there — “why don’t they move like they did in Jurassic Forest?” :)

Quin Amorim

A must see for anyone. Right outside Edmonton, a beautiful place with lots of parking. Nature all around, wooden walkways all around, clean bathrooms, a huge sand playground with dinosaurs ???? for the kids to climb. Also has a food concession, with lots of shade and tables for everyone. Attached to the kids playground is also a mini golf for kids and grownups to have fun. Very nice ???? * If you find this review helpful, please give it a like

Al C.

Nicely laid out with good animatronic dinosaurs. Reasonable location and price for admission. The mini golf attraction at the side needs more maintenance as the balls frequently roll towards the side boundaries. Also the attraction seems to be needing a bit more maintenance of some signage and walk paths are starting to show signs of wear.

Arenas vlog

It was an amazing experience! They were not to loud and the path was clear to walk on. The kids really enjoyed their visit there...It was a nice place for kids.

Devon Gurney

Really Cool place for families with young kids. I would say 3-10 is prime age for what they have there. I would bring food if you are planning on being there through lunch They do have a cafeteria but it's small and only sells Hot Dogs and Pizza with drinks and snacks on the side. The Indoor area is also quite small so if there is more than 8 people it starts to feel crowded. Also bathrooms are small as well so if it's busy there will be a line. All in all a decent experience at an extremely affordable price.

Katina Davenport

The walking trails were awesome; the walking area would be better if it was a bit wider, so you can get around groups of people. We had a wagon for our 2 kids, but walking the path, we passed a lot of people with strollers. The single strollers were easy to get by, but the double (side by side) strollers made it pretty tight. The play area for the kids is big, it's great, lots of things for them to play with. Just wish there was more shade, it's pretty hot in that area. As long as they have sunscreen, you don't need to worry about it though. Or maybe if they added a splash park, that would be pretty awesome! The canteen is small, but it's a good little spot to eat. Gift shop is really cute, check out their keychains! They're freaking adorable. On busy days, I wish they had more bathrooms. Just make sure you aren't busting by the time you get in line ????

Curt

Didnt really know what to expect at first. However once arriving it turned out to be quite a cool place. Great place for kids to explore and learn about Dinos. I enjoyed the little placards along the routes learning about the different types of Dinos and also plants and insects from that era. We went early on a Saturday so there was not too many people yet (so it was good, given the distancing with this whole covid stuff.) There is a gift shop and little place for food and drinks. Also a kids play area however this was not open yet at present time. The price was reasonable as the dinos looked great and the sounds and movements helped create the sense of realism. Pretty cool park with lots to do and see for the little ones. I was impressed. Definatly worth checkin out.

Kevin Murphy

Superfantastic. Got to go here with my wife and it was a school field trip as parents were allowed to attend. This place is amazing. Awesome. We had Britney as our tour guide and she is excellent. Asked the kids if they knew about the dinosaurs and what they ate if it was meat or vegetable. She made it really nice and fun and great to interact with. Concession stand has some really great food and pop corn. Lot's of pic nic tables that are outside and some that are under shelter and a sandy play place for the kiddies. Really recommended this place to anyone who is interested in dinosaurs or even if your just looking for a getaway for the day. Gift shop has great prices too. Wooden boardwalks that are nice and wide. Super friendly staff. We will be back. Thank you for the awesome time. ????????Forgot to mention they even have a mini golf course. Excellent family fun. A must see.

D L

If you like walking and the kids are interested in dinosaurs, you will likely enjoy this. The exhibits look good there are 3 or 4 different trails to explore. The admission is a bit on the pricey side but the gift shop actually has reasonable prices, which is rare. Bring bug spray!

Nadya Dumoulin

The dinosaurs were really cool unfortunately almost none of them moved due to the sensors that were not working. When we finished I politely asked if we had to return something and the lady at the front desk rudely said "no" with a disgusted expression on her face like she thought I was an idiot. The admission cost is way too high for what you are getting. It's boring. Also do not recommend for kids older then 10.

Scott Henderson

We had a nice time at Jurassic Forest! It's basically a nice walk in the woods with lots of dinosaurs who move a little when you are nearby. I think some more fun could be added to the park by adding some devices to wiggle plants to make it seem like small dinos are scurrying through the underbrush, and maybe the odd super thumping subwoofer to simulate the thumping walk of the T Rex, Jurassic Park style. I hope they continue to be successful so the park can grow. There's so much potential here.

Aaron Petherbridge

We come here a couple times a year. There's lots of stuff to do for kids, and it's fun for adults too. My nephew loves it, and being a fan of dinosaurs for most of my life, I enjoy it as well. Great prices, friendly staff, I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys prehistory.

Amber Faganello

This was the BEST way to spend a day with some toddlers! The bugs mixed in was weird... but the day was great!

Simon Collier

A great little place! There are a couple of walks through the forest, with lots of interpretive signage about plants and insects interspersed with dinosaurs that move when you walk by a sensor. There's also a picnic area (but bring bug spray), a crazy golf area that looked pretty good, a concession and a gift shop. Definitely worth a trip, especially for the very reasonable price.

Kris Taylor

Went yesterday took family from BC. They were quite impressed it was fun. My 12 year old grandson enjoyed. Can't wait to take my other grandson when he is able to visit. He is dinosaur crazy.

DG Odlum

So much fun!!!! We took about 1.5hrs to get through both loops with a 2.5yo who LOVES dinos. A few spooked him but overall he wasn't scared and loved it all of course we had to buy 2 new dino figures on our walk through the well-placed gift shop ;)

Ernest Hui

I don't even like dinosaurs, but Jurassic Forest made me feel like a child again! Went with my little nephew and niece and had a great time. The motion sensored displays of live-sized dinosaurs is quite the treat. Great for kids and also great for a socially distanced outing as well!

Deven Reynolds

Great walk, not many Dino's though. It is focused at kids and 2&4 yr old both had a blast. I really appreciated the lower cost gift shop and concession stand.

Amy Marie Collins

This place was a nice way to spend the day. It is slightly expensive I found but the staff were great. The information on the trails is wonderful and the dinosaurs are great. We took two littles ones and they had a blast. They have food offered there and a little play area. Expect your kids to get sand in their shoes if they are playing. Overall it was a wonderful day. Took about 2 hours to see everything and also eat. Definitely will do it again.

ophie Jane

Great park. Lots of misquitoes but they sell deet and non-deet bug spray at the door. It's a bit pricey but has stroller accessible walking tours, great dinosaurs and info, sand park and snack bar. It's a pretty drive out.

Nicole Burant

My 2 year old son loved it. It was a far drive for us but worth it. The whole park took us about an hour but we also didn't stop to read any signs since my son is 2. With covid times, I recommend arriving at the start of the day. We went on a Monday and by 1015am the parking lot was almost full.

Laureen Guldbrandsen

This was my second time going here. The first was ten years ago! The place has definitely changed some since then with the addition of mini golf. I took my 14 year old son and we had an amazing time. Honestly, social distancing made it even more enjoyable as the animatronic dinosaurs were set off each time we got to them (unlike with the large crowds last time), we learned a bit more about dinosaurs, and had a great walk. Mini golf was a lot of fun, despite the fact that in a few places the green was lifting. We were given the option of choosing ball colors and offered a score card if we wanted to be a bit competitive. It was definitely family appropriate as the course wasn't too difficult, nor was it too easy. The gift shop didn't have too many options, but what was there was priced really well, and didn't feel like a waste of money. I'm sure you know how it is when you go to a gift shop and things are over priced, and very poor quality. This was not that! Good prices and good quality items. We were quite happy to pick up a few souvenirs to remember our day. This was well worth the cost, and made for a really fun family day!

Cam Davidson

This is an enjoyable couple of hours through the forrest(if you take your time and read everything while waiting for kids to catch up) the price was reasonable and they appear to be doing what they can to help combat covid. Only down side is the animatronics, they are aging and the sensors do not necessarily work all the time.

Maymoona Abdi

Great adventure and the kids loved it. Good place to take the young ones to learn about dinosaurs and the scenery was almost like we were in jurassic park for real????. Just don't forget to take your bug's spray or you'll have a battle with the mosquitos????????????????. Happened to me with the kids and it was crazy????????????. Also the customer service were very friendly and helpful. I think the mini golf looked great, although I didn't get a chance to try it out

Clayton Middleton

Playground closed for covid however it was a good visit animatronic dinosaurs are definitely pretty cool.

Jared Derkatz

Super fun place!! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by fossils, and other interesting artifacts. Going outside they have mini golf, and a sand pit for kids to play and even uncover some fossils of their own. Then, the exhibits themselves, very easy to navigate. Just follow the wooden planked path through the forest and enjoy the cool dinosaurs they have throughout the trees. My son wouldn't stop talking about this place the rest of the week after we went. Considering getting a full membership here after our first visit, im sure we will be making the 40 minute drive to come here again.

Gergely Kiss

Some of the color use is ridiculous, but the kids loved it.

Harrison Linden

Jurassic Forest was a great time and worth the short drive out of Edmonton! The staff were really nice and helpful at the entrance and the gift shop. The path surprised me most, it is a very nice wooden boardwalk that not only protects your footwear from the water and muddy spots, but also makes the experience very accessible to all. Due to COVID 19 the paths are 1 way only which means you're unlikely to bump into anybody which I appreciate at any time! The old growth forest is beautiful and a lovely escape out of the city but be prepared with bug spray as large sections of the walk will have mosquitos depending on the day. Lastly, the experience is surprisingly immersive! We were startled a few times by seeing and hearing the dinosaurs, some of which are just huge! As two people in our mid 20s, we loved it. Side note - Mini golf was fun but not it's not the best course, perfect for kids though!

Nick Uhlig

Kids love it. It's well maintained and the dinosaurs are impressive. Boardwalks are nice and if you have good weather it's a very pleasant stroll. The sandy play area was also great before restrictions due to COVID and the concession is decent as well. Well worth the drive for an afternoon activity with kids.

Karina Hernández Pérez

Loved the place. Hardly any mosquitoes, good food, nice staff and affordable prices. And DINOSAURS, duh! What's more awesome than dinosaurs?

Anna BeSomething

Had a great 1.5hr walk with the kids and both my 2 year old and 10 year old loved it. Bring a wagon or stroller for young ones. Bring bug spray. Cloudy days make for dramatic photos!!

Bruce McLavy

It's seems like it's starting to show it's age, but it still fulfills that childhood dream of seeing a real life dinosaur...mostly. After the first couple dinos, I found my mind wondering about the cost for maintenance or what the park would have to do take it to the next level. Like better audio, better robotics, or maybe even ai like responsiveness. Or ziplines. Either way my kids had a blast, so...

Derek Jackson

Lovely place to walk with the family and discover long lost creatures. Areas are well thought out. Loops are easily traversable, and fam can stop for quick breaks along the way or throughout. Family had a great time playing the mini golf! Motion sensor and boardwalks are in need of some TLC.

J morales

Best place for little ones, my kids have a blast, the place its well maintained and clean.

Tyler Holmberg

Its a great place for your little dino fan, and they will enjoy the animated Dinos. But be warned - the dinos can be hard to see for little ones, it is a bit of a walk and the bugs can be numerous due to water on/under the walks. Food selection is limited, is below par and above what you will want to pay. You are also forced to exit the park via the gift shop. That said, if you can get a coupon or have time to kill it is still worth checking out. Just bring a stroller and a snack/lunch.

Raman .S

Kids loved the dinosaurs and would definitely visit again.

Viktoriia Prudius

The kids loved this place

Victoria C.

This ain't no Royal Tyrrell museum but its still a pretty cool spot to visit plus the dinosaurs move! ;)

This is the perfect place to bring children and also go on a date if both of you are childish at heart. I recommend to pack a lunch as there's not a lot of eating places nearby. Plus, they have a nice eating area for picnics. They have a mini golf course which is fun for families and also a cute dinosaur themed playground. I recommend to go in the summer or the warmer months as you won't see a lot of the plants and animals in the winter and fall. It's a nice and cozy place to visit and learn about dinosaurs

TheCoss10

Fun afternoon spent with the kids. With admission and mini-golf, we spent about $60. Decent price for 3 hours of fun.

Jordan O

Staff was friendly and helpful. Experience was awesome my kid had a blast. Not too expensive and close to the city. Got fairly busy but if you go right at open it's quiet.

Christian Trudell

Great place for a family outing. The kids had a blast watching the animatronics and learning about the dinosaurs, other creatures and plant life from millions of years ago. It sucks the interactive play area and learning center werent open …

Joyanna Mitchell

This is a great place for a family day! Our son, age 3, loved the dinosaurs and our son, age 5 months, enjoyed the walk and and the trees.

Alex Currie

Amazing place, great for kids. We had a lot of fun!

Marina Jašova

Wonderful family experience! Education and exercise included. Several tripping hazards along the way, so watch your step

Hanan

So unless your children like dinosaurs this place is not that fun. Neither of my kids stopped long enough on any part of the trail to learn about any of the information provided. They almost ran thru the whole thing. The mini golf which might have entertained my 11 year old was shut down for renos. And not much else was happening. We did not stay long as both were whining they were bored.

Praveen Devanand

A must visit place during summer. Good for kids especially. They will love to see dinosaur. Best part is it gets activated with you walk close by. You can easily spend 4 to 5 hours in this place.

Amber Buchaski

Great expirience for the littles. Great stroller friendly paths. Would be a great place for a 4-5 yr old bday party. A few empty spots where displays are "coming soon" and some of the displays didn't go off on time. Brings bug spray and sunscreen!!

Oliver Jones

It was so fun my kids loved it great time for the whole family

Unrulymonkey

This place far exceeded our expectations. The built to scale models really give you a feeling of the size of these once great beasts! Hidden gem for sure.

Rochelle Lobo

We visited with our 2 year old on Tuesday and he was over the moon! He loves dinosaurs and was so thrilled to walk (well run in excitement mostly) through the 2 trails. Bonus that its only minutes north of Edmonton. We visited at midday and the mosquitoes were pretty tame thankfully and the weather was beautiful. Id definitely recommend this place for families with young children looking for a short day trip. Be mindful that the cafeteria's offerings are very minimal but you can bring your own food. The mini golf area is very small and the play area was closed that day ( due to covid i assume). All in all a good experience! If your looking for a small outing with no fuss, this is a wonderful option. We loved it and cant wait to visit again.

Catzes96

We went here last year for part of our family vacation and we were amazed at how cool this place is!! Just make sure you bring lots of mosquito spray! Lol we lent out a lot of our OFF to quite a few people on the dinosaur trail as they weren’t prepared! The scenery was beautiful and natural all the way. The dinosaurs looked very realistic and the pricing was pretty fair! The gift shop was really nice as well. We all had a great time! The only bad thing was that the playground for the kids had no shading at all so the sun blared right down on the kids so they didn’t get much time there to play.

Michael Mackey

Maybe this place is short if your kids don't care about dinosaurs that much. We have easily occupied an hour or more here each time we come, and we come a lot. It has two dinosaur loops and some other options if you want to try. I will say this is better, cheaper, and more kid friendly than most of what you'll find in Drumheller.

Hello Popcorn

It is different than any other dinosaur exhibit. Not as good as Drumheller. But, a great choice if you can't make it there. Very impressed. Definitely, recommend Jurassic Forest to my fellow Manitobans visiting Alberta.

Erin Baird

I’ve been wanting to visit Jurassic Forest for a couple years and finally had a chance today. It was a nice little walk but pretty pricy for what it is - it took us less than an hour to walk through the entire thing. I think it would be more worth it if adults were free and you only paid for kids. 10 year old niece thought it was a waste of time and money but the 4 year old nephew said it was “the best day ever” so definitely something fun for the younger kiddos. The staff were all friendly and it was easy to Social distance from others.

It's Just Jay

It was a really neat, informative experience. The staff were lovely to talk to, and the prices were more than reasonable. However, make sure you check the weather before you go!

F L Hartley

Had a great time with the kiddo here! Staff were happy and helpful. Loved the exhibits, and the kids play area was fun :) Only recommendation would be to please add some more attractions! Also, a couple of the sensors didn't seem to be working properly.

Dusty Boettger

Bring the bug spray but perfect family adventure

Trail Seekers

Booked a time slot for Friday mid morning! It was great and my 3 year old had a blast! Time slots work out good not being to busy the kiddo could enjoy the park!

Rachel Kjearsgaard

This was so fun! It was very clean and very clear as what you need to do to maintain social distancing. The trail is one way and there is hand cleaning stations. It was a great escape ☺️ as long as others follow the clear laid out rules it is very safe and a great learning experience for the kids. Come on moving dinosaurs! How can it not be amazing!

Graham Cairns

A great place to take the kids. Motion sensors for animatronic dinosaurs. And a walk through the Jurassic forest. A sandy park for the kids to play in and some great educational fun spots.

Graham Allen

Very nicely layed out park that makes you feel like you are in Jurassic Park. The dinosaurs and other creatures are all animatronic and create a very unique environment. I wish they expanded the park adding in places to dig for fake bones or some kind of ride to simulate something you see in the Jurassic Park movies

Robert Tauber

Great place to take your young explorer kids.

Randy Chua

Took my kid there who is really into dinosaurs. It was great, the trails were really well maintained, the dinosaurs were amazing. They were all really nice and the size of the dinosaurs were great. the movements were also good. The concession was reasonable priced ex: slice of pizza $3.50. and the gift shop had items at all price ranges. Ex: we bought a 3" plastic dinosaurs skeleton which $1. Overall it was a great trip.

Travis Carpenter

Great value for your dollar. The dinosaurs don't disappoint. It's a cool experience for kids and adults.

Mansi Patel

Amazing place had lots of fun. Great for kids

Orlando dela Cruz

My 2 yr old kid loves this place. Some of the censors on the dinosaurs are not working though.

Lindsay Lac

Great place! Kids had a blast

Chelsea Stephenson

Thought it would be more then just 2 walking trails that have moving dinosaurs.. 75$ for a family, only took an hour to walk around.. mini golf is an extra 10$ Over priced and not what I expected. If there was more things to do it would have been better !

Warren Laveniuk

Quite entertaining for kids! My one kid loves dinosaurs! He had a blast! Tons of animatronic dinosaurs and interesting info boards!

Tracy Everett

I was pleasantly surprised, the animation of the dinosaurs and the wooded area made the hike fun. Also impressed at how many people where there and we still had lots of space to enjoy the day.

Mike Leoppky

Kind staff, beautiful scenery, and dinosaurs!! What more can you ask for?? If you’ve been contemplating a visit, believe me it’s worth it.

Colby Heleta

Very fun place to take children! And children at heart!!

Trevor Vanderberg

Really well done theme park, our 2 and 4 year old loved the animatronic Dino's. Paths through the forest were boardwalk, perfect for strollers. Informative plaques were helpful for teaching curious toddlers!

Vovan G

Suprized at how well it is organized and how many dinosaurs there are! Great place to visit with the family.

Abhijit Banerjee

Beautiful place created in the middle of nowhere. Great for kids who want to learn and play at the same time..

Amanda Lambert

Always an enjoyable adventure, love that the gift shop is very reasonably priced, makes me want to support them all the more for not price gouging.

Stop Bugginme

There was a huge line up which tells me this is a good place to go. The line was very fast and we were in, in no time. There were alot of exhibits and the grounds were laid out quite nice. I would definately go back again and see everything.

Andrew Styles

Family friendly and a jaw dropper round every bend. The pathway is kid friendly and stroller friendly. This is a place for young and old. So much to do in such a small area. Make sure you go on both trails. Hit up the concession. We had 6 kids and 4 adults all had pops ice creams from the concession stand that was clean and the staff were helpfull $40 people. That's not outrageous at all. Compare that to K days or an oilers game. Great massive play area for the kids to. Urn off steam after. JF your doing it right. My only complaint is with guests. Please pick up your litter. There are garbage cans around it takes 30 seconds.

Rob

Me and my kids went here recently and we loved it the employees were nice and friendly it's reasonably price for families it's very informative and the kids love it I highly recommend this any families that wanna go do something fun and educational... I will definitely be taking my kids back there.

Sammy 23

Really amazing and full of fun park for kids. They have dinassours placed throughout the trail with 3d movement and voice activated.

C S

This place is great for the family. It has enough to interest my whole family which is difficult sometimes with 4 kids ages 13-4. We go every year and it's awesome! Bring bug spray and snacks as it takes 2-3 hours to tour it.

Dianne Kirwin

Wonderful place to learn all about dinosaurs and the native plants, animals and insects of the region. Biodiversity is so important and Jurrassic Forest abounds with diversity.

Benita Greenwood

Had a great time with the grandchildren. They have wheel chairs to borrow that go on the 2km wooden boardwalks.

Delaney Fellhauer

Such a great place! Staff was super friendly and the entire visit was fantastic. Will definitely come back on a regular basis.

Heather Sherwood

Pretty fun place for kids to run around outside when there are a lot less options during Covid times. It's a bit dated, but worth the drive. Bring your mosquito spray!

MRW

Our kids love this place, from our 1 year old to 9 yr old. It's a nice stroll and really makes you think about what it would be like to run into these massive beasts. A nice options before the kids are ready for Drumheller.

Kaitlin Bolender

The walk was amazing. My kids loved the experience and the sand playground.

Gia

A ton of fun here with my toddler. Very cool experience. However when school trips are going it is very hard to walk around and disorganized. And bring mosquito repellent!!

DREAMCATCHERMEDIA INDOCAN

Nice set up . Plenty of room for kids to enjoy and learn about fossils and prehistoric animals. Make sure to not to go during noon time as it could get so hot regardless the trees around. Mornings would be perfect. You can purchase tickets at the counter. Walkway built inside the park is all wooden and sturdy so no fear about muddy spots if it rains.

Chantel Matty

Great place to take your dinosaur loving little ones. They have animatronic dinosaurs throughout the park activated via motion senors. It is fun to let the little ones or first timers go first and see them have fun when they find and/or hear the dinosaurs first. Wear walking shoes. Bring water and snacks but there is also a concession stand. Bring bug spray.

Kurtis WM

The park is good. The mini putt is way to small and not layed out well. If you are going to play make sure there isn't a lot of people playing cause you'll be there all day. Me and my family played about 5 holes and left

brody jespersen

This place is awesome! Our 3 kids always have a blast coming out here. Makes for an enjoyable morning/afternoon. You wont burn too much time here, but it is worth it. Even as adults we love the work that has gone into this place, from the dinosaurs to the beautiful walking deck throughout. Staff are always so friendly, and our kids leave satisfied each time.

Sonu Bal

Very Nice family ???? fun walk in woods. Very friendly staff . ???????????????????? Heads Up for Big Bugs. So don't forget your Bugs Spray, can save you a lot of scratching after the trip.

Joanna Lawrence

We went to Jurassic Forest on a Saturday in July. It was incredibly busy and we waited nearly an hour to get in. Once on the paths, there really was no opportunity to linger and read the signage because the boardwalk is narrow and there's just so many people coming through. The wait at the concession stand and gift shop was also long. I would suggest going at 9am right as it opens. To the operators, I suggest doing a timed entry to manage the amount of people in the place and make sure everyone has a pleasant experience. As for the dinosaurs themselves, they were great and my kid enjoyed herself. I do wish some of the dinosaurs were closer to the path, but not close enough to touch, of course. Something like what the Calgary Zoo has. I also wished the interpretive signs were at kid eye level because my daughter wanted to be constantly picked up to look at the pictures on the signs. Older kids should be able to read the signs by themselves too. Overall, I think we'll go back but definitely at a less busy time when we can enjoy the journey a bit more.

Adnan Ahmed

Love the experience. Every visit to alberta isn't complete without coming here with the kids. the kids love it, only wish that the animatronics were closer to the trail instead of being so far out in the trees.

Q Sang

It's a great place if you have kids who are obsessed with dinosaurs. I find Jurassic forest has better scene set than Calgary Zoo as the dinos are placed in the woods with marsh like area. That does also mean there are a lot mosquitoes, so make sure you have bug spray with you.

Veronica Manchur

My son had so much fun.definitely will be back.

Blyn May

We love it, my daughter enjoyed it so much and very happy, clean and a perfect place to take your family on short family day, you can bring your own food they have tables outdoor and indoor, they have gift souvenir shop also and a mini golf.

Darrell Winwood

It's fun for kids and some of the dinosaurs are cool. Still, some parts have become quite overgrown and it's hard to actually see some of the dinosaurs. I know the playground is closed because of COVID but it looked like a weed infested mess and the concession was pretty sad, bring your own food for sure.

Ryan

Wow! Take your younglings here and those who love Dinosaurs!! This place is awesome. I highly suggest not going on weekends, for i went on a quiet Monday and there was barley anybody.

Nitesh Mehndiratta

A walk to remember. #yegbeautiful

vance clark

While the actual park experience was great the concession was concerning. The ketchup and mustard were liquid and when you looked in the pump it was obvious it hadn't been cleaned or maintained. We spoke to the 'manager' and while we were refunded we were not offered an apology and the same ketchup and mustard were left up. It was an obvious health concern and very disappointing that it wasn't addressed. I would not trust anything that is made at this concession. BRING YOUR OWN FOOD.

Ashlee Begoray

Took our 1.5 yr old and newborn. Paths were perfect for strollers and had roped sides so when our lil guy wanted to walk, he knew to stay on the path. He wasn't scared! Dinosaurs looked real and moved and made sounds! We will go back!

Claudette P. Esterine-Campbell

We had fun. Good family place. Educational.

Mike Morton

Great way to spend an afternoon! Mini golf and the park are great ways to keep the kids occupied. Pack a lunch, and enjoy the atmosphere. We visit every summer, and always have a good time.

James Nickerson

Smaller than I thought but my children really enjoyed it

Vikas

Great little hidden gem just outside of the city , great place for the kids to get an introduction to dinosaurs , has a huge play area for the little ones to play , if you are the pokemon enthusiastic there is plenty of pokestops and 2 gyms that take you along an informative journey into the past with animatronic displays. Their is a small concession a little pricy for what is offered , nice picnic like setting to eat . Overall satisfied and happy with my experience!

Susan Smith

Great place for kids. Easy walking.

Kuljit Cheema

Fun, exciting place for kids. My niece loved it and asking to revisit, miss sitting area and better refreshment corner.

Greggory Miller

Dinosaur models were unimpressive and very far away. They do not allow onewheels or any form of transport apart from strollers. Wasn't worth the 15 per person. The only good things I can say about this place were the greenery and the friendly staff.

Mr Special

Amazing park for your little ones. It has a sandbox with the dig site as well as other interesting things. There is a pretty cool path to walk around, with two different trails. You can pull your kiddos on a pretty cool trolly that they …

Ken Dodman

Lovely day. The dino collection has grown over the years. Don't think the insects are accurately sized but I could be wrong

Blue Pest Solutions

I like the fact they keep changing things around. Very good experience every time.

Marcy Minchin

The dinosaurs move and make noise, which was super cool. There are two loops, with educational boards for each dinosaur. You can easily spend a couple of hours here, but it would be hard to spend all day.

Lindsay MacDermott

This was our first visit to the Forest and we were pleasantly suprised. It kept our 8 and 9 year olds very enterained, and the parents too. It was a nice walk and the Covid adjustments were not a problem at all. We had a windy day so no mosquitos, but they could definitely be a factor given the surroundings. Thanks for an entertaining afternoon!

Jonathan

Fantastic place for children. A bit of a drive but well worth it. They also required proof of vaccination despite being an outdoors facility. Quite reassuring that they prioritize customer safety. We hope to go again in the future!

Margarete Daugela

Really great attraction. Went with my three year old.daughter, nephews and their grandpa. We all enjoyed it. The park is beautifully setup and the paths and walkways are well kept. I had no trouble with my mobility scooter. There paths had many information signs for the displays and plants. The dinosaurs were really amazing and move and make noises. With long sleeves and pants thr mosquitos were manageable - do bring spray. We had snacks at the concession while the kids enjoyed the playground. Yhe playground alone was worth the visit for the kids.

Jocelyn Naughton

We love Jurassic forest, we have even had season passes in the past. but we drove out there today for the second time and the line was so insanely long that both times we tried we just turned around and went home. I've never seen it so busy and people were even in overflow parking. I wish they had a timed spot that you could book online so that there wouldn't be these huge crowds waiting. in the past couple of weeks I've gone to the Royal Alberta museum as well as the Royal Tyrell museum and both had time to bookings and it worked really well. We missed drastic for us but I don't think we'll try again for a while

Peeyoosha Prasad

I recently visited to Jurassic Forest along with family and friends. It's a great place for Kids. My daughter and other kids had great fun over there. One must go with their kids at least once. Please make sure to carry mosquitoes repellent as this place has lots of mosquitoes.

Claudia N

We had a wonderful time in the Jurassic Forest. Very interesting and informative. I was impressed that the dinosaurs were actually moving and making sounds. We enjoyed our visit!

Ronnie Neville

Good for a one time go kids liked playing in the sand more then the attractions also not well maintained. Danger of wasps and nests very close to walking trails. When brought to the attention of staff they said they had already sprayed them. Seriously didn't do poop. Food is way over priced and nothing close to good. Gift shop has some nice items at a fair price

Laura Agatha

What a wonderful way to spend the day. Great thrills.

Cindy-Lee Samuel

Kids had so much fun!

Daniel Blais

I choose to come here with my family for Father’s Day. It was our first time coming and we were not disappointed. We came early in the day to try and avoid the crowds but it was a popular destination for father’s day. I was pleasantly pleased with all the information throughout the trails and how my children were trying to teach me all about the dinosaurs while reading the information as well as what they had already known. We love to pack up a cooler and have little adventures and we’re thrilled that we could take in our own food. It was especially warm on this day so we still bought some ice cream and drinks from the concession stand. I believe the price was more than fair. There’s a lot to see and do here and if you take the time and appreciate everything that’s offered, you are getting more than your money’s worth. I would love to come back with each of my kids individually so we can explore more and bond.

Melissa Harms

Third time visiting and keeps getting better and better. Mini golf was lots of fun as was excavating dinosaur fossils. Has picnic tables with umbrellas so you can eat in a bit of shade. Love the giant bugs amongst the dinosaurs! ????

Alexey Baldygin

After reading reviews, I was a bit sceptical and wasn't sure if long drive would make sense to visit Park which requires renovations, but the truth is it is still a great place for get away. Only a couple figures had small dents, the rest was all in a good shape and worked just as a year ago. Playground is a boring as it always was. I hope at some point they will make investments into it and will add slides and swings for kids, but for now kids can only dig bones and it doesn't seem like many kids enjoy doing it. Food selection is limited even on a hot weekend when they should expect lots of people in the park. Tip: Make sure you bring you lunch boxes, they do have places to eat, but you need your food. Otherwise, you can end up eating hot dogs with chips.

Lana Ernestine

Loved the Dino's! However, lots of little kids without masks accompanied by adults doing the same. On the trails and in the buildings. Not the park's fault, but still. And the gift shop was pretty sparse. Otherwise very cool!

Jagjit SINGH

My kids are big fans of dinosaurs and animals. They loved it while the heat & mosquitoes ruined my day! The dinosaur toys in the gift shop were a disappointment. According to my kids, they didn't look real.

Sandra Gaviria-Buck

Really enjoyed our visit to this place! It felt like we were actually in a Jurassic Forest! There is a boardwalk in each of the two sections. The dinosaurs are very realistic. Most of them move and make noises and are set in scenes that make it even more realistic. There are info boards all over about the plants and animals of the area, as well as the dinosaurs. At the entrance there is a small museum, some dinosaur rides that work with loonies and a big sand area where kids can dig for bones and climb on dinosaurs. The parking lot is quite big. Will definitely be going back with my kids.

Aquil Jaison

Great place for a day out with kids. There is about 2/3 main trails with a variety of dinosaurs, birds and sub-species to be seen. The staff are friendly and welcoming and kind. Park is informative and great place for kids and family. They …

Maya Rash Gupta

Well maintained and easy to get around...kids really enjoyed it. They have a great covered picnic spot... Just be prepared for mosquitoes and lots of sun and you will have a great time.

Christopher Simon

We took our kids here for a day of Dino fun. They had a blast! Everything they does show it’s age a bit but I was impressed how well kept it was for a place as old as this. Also, our kids imagination’s didn’t seem to care. Definitely a place worth checking out if you have never been there before.

Geo

What a rip off. We used to go all the time, but now the place is stripped of everything a kid would like to do. My kids were so disappointed they were at the point of crying. Wasted $35 to get in. No rides, no sand area (closed), no food concession, no place to sit and eat other than a couple of picnic tables they left out - placed strategically to avoid lack of social distancing. Totally disappointed. DO NOT GO.

J Gye

Grounds well kept; the dinosaurs well made; great place for big and little people; great mini golf for the entire family; cafeteria to buy snacks (prices are reasonable); and a playground for the little people.

Tia A

A bit outdated. I think that they should look a bit into updating what they already have instead of getting more (like they advertise around the park). Great for kids, but not a place I would want to go back to

sujan basnet

What a great experience out there. Learn about different species of dinasour and the noises they make. Movements have also been arranged in such a way that it feels realistic. Can get lot of items to buy that makes your visit even memorable.

Brittney Smith

Too bad the mini golf was closed when we went. You'll get eaten alive here and not just by the dinosaurs. The mosquitos are really bad especially since we went after it rained alot. I'd reccomend bringing bug spray.

Natasha Rachel

I had so much fun here with my boyfriend! Some people had mentioned in previous reviews that they found the admission price too high, but for all you get to see on the trails I think it was very fair! The sounds and animatronics really added to the atmosphere. We also saw lots of natural wildlife on the trails, like mice, squirrels and birds :)

Racha Sweid

Nice place and nice trails My son enjoyed it though he said I tricked him bcz those are not real dinosaurs ???? Nice experience overall

Jocelyn Shuman

We had a great time and our older boys really enjoyed the visit. The line ups moved quickly and everyone who worked there was very helpful. Lots of interesting info about the local flora & fauna in addition to the dinosaur features.

Jon Eeuwes

Very fun and close to home. Go early as it gets busy quick. Worth it for smaller children and the young at heart. First time visiting and will love going back. Friendly Dino wranglers onsite.

Kingsley Chan

Kids loved it! The social distancing lines were clearly marked, and everyone was respectful of each other's space. Hand sanitizer was abundant throughout! Lots of picnic tables still for lunch. Food is really reasonably priced, but you can easily bring your own id you want. Great activity for families during the pandemic!

Navdeep Girdhar

Oh my! My kids love this place. The animated dinosaurs in the park make my kids crazy. The place house most dinosaurs species along with the info. There is mini golf to enjoy. The ticket price is very affordable. You visit Edmonton, then don't miss this place.

Matthew White

Trails are great, some better maintenance of the wooden platform trail would help. Better maintenance of playground area, and more playground options would also help.

Devin Cooper

Awesome place. The motion sensors could be a little bit more sensitive, but the overall thrill is amazing. *Queue Jurassic Park theme as soon as you walk towards the gates and enter*. Walk a bit down the path, boom! Dinosaur. Walk around the curve, boom! DINOSAUR! Walk backwards a little bit and wave your hands to the sensor, BOOM! Dinosaur moving around! Making this adventure at least once a year. Total plus to the experience; their sandpit for kids has fossils buried in the sand, and little brushes scattered around... Amazing..! They really thought of that? 10/10 overall. Ps - the gift shop is not *super* expensive which is awesome to have your kids commemorate the entire experience.

Steven Baryluk

This was as decent place to spend a few hours with the kids during a road trip. We camped across from the entrance at Mcleod Creek Farm & Campground partly because we planned to visit here. It was an enjoyable half day even though there was a little bit of rain. They had a playground, dinosaur riders for small kids, a nice boardwalk trail to see the animatronic dinosaurs. They're not anywhere near the level of sophistication of a Disney park, for example, but the children enjoyed seeing them nonetheless. There is the obligatory gift shop and a cool interactive floor where you can squish bugs by stepping on them. If your kids are into dinosaurs then they would definitely enjoy spending a little time here.

Terra Luna Beach

Fun for the family but it is a little overpriced. Kids will have a great time especially if they like dinosaurs.

Lizzete Aranda

Awesome place for kids. Big play ground filled with sand. Adults will also enjoy taking a walk while kids enjoy looking at this big Dinosaurs. Dogs not be allowed. Enough parking area, and staff very friendly.

Aurora Moser

We really enjoyed this place. The snacks were reasonably priced, the dino walks were a good length, and they even had rentable dino strollers. They had activities outside the dinos like fossil digging, a playground, and mini golf. Bring good bug spray if you go or be smart and buy the stuff at the counter. The only critique i had was bathroom cleanliness and that the handles on the dino strollers were not staying on and because of that, there was glue residue on my hands. Great place for an afternoon with some young dino lovers though! Will return!

Andrew Jones

Loved this place! The kids were enthralled and it was really fun to be able to picture the dinosaurs living in a real environment instead of just on a museum shelf. We will be back!

J F (Archive Acct)

Fun outing with kids or potentially a date. Lots of Pokestops/gym. Bring your own water bottle and bug spray as prices are tourist high. Good accessibility. Activities easily broke down into bite size chunks.

Kenny L

Isn't worth the drive. Large robotic dinosaur display over the 2 trails. However, they are actuated by a moving sensors which not all are working. Some display too far away and non of the display can be touch. In addition, mosquito are everywhere. Best part probably the playground in the center which kids can play.

Simon Handley

First time I've been. Heard great things, wasn't disappointed. Nice place with lots of awesome animatronic dinosaurs. Wee lad loved it and the distance wasn't too bad to cover for a 4 year old. Gift shop and concessions decent, parking was easy, lots of space for people to safely social distance. All in all a great place to stop on our adventures seeking dinosaurs and headed from Ontario to Jasper.

Megan Sharpe

Took a mini vacation up to Edmonton so we could take our kids. It was fantastic. The sensors on the animatronic dinos seems to have a larger delay than it needs to but my 2 and 4 year olds LOVED it. Gift shop is small and affordable (surprisingly so). Wasn't super busy and we could maintain distance from other visitors.

MK

Absolutely loved it! So much stuff to look at, paths are easy to walk on even with a stroller, lots of pictures and explanations, love love the sand box/fossil area for young kids. Highly recommend. Bring bugspray

Mitch Lavender

Very nice place, with lots of potential. Kids definitely loved it. The dinosaur's were pretty underwhelming really... They weren't even alive!! (Jk)... They were a bit far away, and not very engaging (minimal movement and sound). I'd definitely pay more to get a bigger "wow" factor. Overall a neat experience.

Stacey B

I had been told this was great for kids but probably boring for adults alone. We went anyway, and were definitely not bored! The dinosaurs are great, but for an adult who can take their time, the information boards were really interesting, both about dinosaurs and modern flora and fauna in the area. It's a beautiful place for a stroll.

Kendra Michelle

LOVED Jurassic forest! Really entertaining and educational! I enjoyed reading everything and my son enjoyed watching all the dinosaurs and animals moving! Very real!!

Nemata Okot

This place was incredible. My family and I learned a lot about plants and animals. At this place, you get to see electric powered dinosaurs and how they used to look like in their time. Your family especially your children, can learn and enjoy at this area.

Jarrod gault

The kids LOVED it here. Pack a picnic and do the loops a couple times. Its very busy on the weekends but during the week is quite slow.

Tamara Rainbow

The discovery area for the kids was amazing. They loved digging for the bones. The only downfall would be to bring your own brushes as there were not enough for all the kids. Watching their reaction to the animatronics was priceless. Definitely a must see for families!

Jaspal Phull

Very nice place. Good for kids above 3 year old. You can spend 4 to 5 hr there watching diffwrent dino on trials.there is place to play golf for everyone. My son enjoyed it.

Chris Anderson

An awesome way to spend a day! Bring a good bug spray and sunscreen! Plenty of parking awesome helpful staff.

Mark Vogel

I think they have done a ton of maintenance in the last year, the place looks great. Also, look at the quality of this rope splice! If they are putting this much attention into their rope barriers, you know how top notch everything else is.

Jennifer Chambers

Was a really fun place to go, I love how there is information stands on nature (trees, bushes, moss, birds, and so forth)not just dinosaurs. Everything this place has to offer is fantastic! The only thing I didn't fancey , was the lack of respect from surrounding customers. Invading personal space, just blasting past you on the path because we are too slow for them.

Camilla Narayan

Great place to go on a little adventure with kids of all ages. COVID-19 precautions in place. Wasn't too busy when we went. All staff was kind and courteous throughout.

Jonathan Rokosh

Wouldn't recommend for children older than 10. The picknic tables in the excavation area were covered in sand. I didn't try the food but it appeared that there wasn't a large enough variety. The mini putt is very plane and underwhelming.

Jason Au

Just about 20 minutes north of Edmonton. It's a neat interactive walk with dinosaurs for the kids. Our kids ranging between 3 to 8 years old loved the experience

Monark Bhagat

Jurassic forest is more of a fun train trail to walk.. not much to do except a mini golf course and small patch that they call it dino dig, it would be great if there were some more activities to do.. also gift shop didnt had much to choose from over all good place to go for a quick out...

J Singh

Great place to walk and spend couple of hours. Wish more slides or toys thr for kids to play with.

Jed Emil Villamor

Love the life like animatronic dinosaurs. Great place for families especially if you have little kids. Just don't forget to bring mosquito repellant.

Nilofar Kazmi

Nice place to take your kids for fun and some learning. It's not too big but big enough to enjoy and hour or two.

Summer Cook

I took my son for his 4th birthday and we where both more then happy when we left the dinosaurs where life like and moved plus it was a good hour and half walk though! Highly recommend

Kyle Keller

The park surpassed my expectations. A very fine fine for the family, especially for the ones interested in prehistoric creatures. Enjoy!

S H

Brought our kids out for the day. Found it to be a great afternoon. The exhibits are colorful and informative with a variety of different dinosaurs from different times in history. Large picnic area. Tip*bring a change of clothes for the kiddos as they have a rather large sand playground with fossils to brush and dig up. Bring bug spray, sunscreen and have at least 3 hours to spare. We spent almost 4 which was just right for us. The gift shop had a few nick knacks that are only a dollar each so kiddos can leave with something in habd without breaking the bank. All in all, we had a great time. Will definitely be back again.

रमेश

Great place for family and friends to explore. The place is well kept and the staffs are very friendly. If you are a dinosaur fan then this place is a must see.

Josephine Chai

I've always hear about this place but never had a chance to go until today. I was very impressed with all the dinosaurs you get to see on two different trail paths. Not only did we see dinosaurs, they also move which was a great surprise for the kids, I was not expecting that! The paths are wide enough for strollers and wagons. We got to meet Rosie the dinosaur and her handler. The staff member dressed up as Rosie was very good at making it so she wasn't scary as the costume was very realistic. We were allowed to pet her and ask questions and she would respond by nodding or shaking her head. There is also a nice big park with more than enough dinosaurs to climb and the kids can "dig" and find "fossils". There is also a fun mini golf course to try too. Overall this place is great for everyone and we didn't have to drive far to see some dinosaurs and learn a thing or two about them! I would recommend others to go and explore the Jurassic Forrest but make sure to bring bug repellent - you'll need it!!!

Mike Rokosh

Love it. Can't believe how well the dinos are constructed, and their resemblance.

Will C

Went with the whole family and cousins. We had kids 3-4 years old and it was the “best day ever”

Lia Rogers

This was so much fun for our elementary school kids. Right at the start of our trip, one of their employees was dressed as a dinosaur and it was great. The employees did such a good job making the dino approachable, despite how realistic it looked (and a bit scary looking with all those teeth). It was a nice little stop on our way to camp.

Ann Murphy

Great place. Lots of dinosaurs and the children love it. Educational signs are excellent and interesting to all ages.

Matt Green

This is a fine attraction just outside of Edmonton. It is very educational with ample signage with an attractive and consistent style. If you plan to be there at meal time be sure to pack a picnic because the concession is fairly sparse.

Elomena Emessiri

Amazing collection of dinosaur models. Animatronics is amazing for some of the exhibits. Fun for kids who love dinosaurs

Jeff Wise

I want sure what to expect, but I was really pleasantly surprised. Great outdoor experience for my son’s bday. Spent about 2.5 hrs there with lots of high quality animatronics to see. Will definitely go again.

Gil Rogers

It was okay...animatronic dinosaurs. We went in October 2012, so it was the fall season. Understandably, most of the foliage started to hibernate, so the place was all brown. They have sign posts of foliage and we tried to look for them but we couldn't since it was fall. Perhaps the best time is to go during late spring until late summer. When we went, there is a new area that's under construction, so we finished the park in about an hour. There is not much to do or see, so I think the $13.33 adult admission fee is a little steep.

emily williams

The motion sensors don't always go off so we spent a fair bit waving at and running past the sensors but other than that it was great. Their playground is embarrassingly bad ngl but the mammoth and Dinos moving and rawring were so cool my kids really liked it

Chad Brandt (ChadAction)

Had a freaking blast! Our son loved it and as a family we loved it even more!

Me Too

We don't go often, but it is always a super fun day, plus tricks the toddlers into a 2k hike.

Kari Douglas

I was pleasantly surprised ! Excceed my expectations.

J B

Mini golf was closed. Concession was closed. In fact, you must pay full price before you can discover this fact! Otherwise a great experience and an exciting walk for all ages.

kristen paul

A fantastic place to visit! It's great if you only have a couple of hrs to spare and still want some quality fun with your child. I go a few times per year so I'm getting the season pass this year lol. The gift shop is priced fairly so it's easy to get a little something for your child after exploring the park. Great picnic area. Cute dinosaur wagons are available to rent. It's a cool set up my senior mom enjoyed herself as well. Teens may find it lame but that's teens for you. I highly recommend to young families and grandparents spoiling the grandchildren with a quick outing. They keep improving each year!!

Adriel Michaud

Bring your mosquito spray. The facility is new and well designed, the robotic dino's are cool, but might be a bit scary for a 2-4 year old. You can see everything the park in about 30-45 minutes, so there's limited appeal but I think it's still worth a trip out.

Paul Vanbeek

Great place for kids to enjoy the day, but very pricey

Tyler Whalen

I have four kids and we always bring them around here when they get to be about 4 or 5. Brought my son out for his birthday and got to watch the magic if imagination play out in a beautiful setting. Seriously. It's a bit of honest fun. The infrastructure is getting a bit old... All the more reason to give them your patronage.

Caterina Vaduva

Always a blast to see the Dino's! Motion sensored dinos in the forest with info! Great for kids of most ages.

Samantha McGee

Everyone had a great time looking at the Dinosaurs. It wasn't too long of a walk for little legs, lots of place to sit and enjoy the scenery and listen to the animals of nature and of the Dino Exibit.

Tracy Bellam

Amazing experience! So much fun!

Corey Smith

The kids love it and we go a few times a year. There have even been some upgrades/new displays this year.

Roslynn Ricard

This is a great exhibit and really well done in my opinion. Great place to bring the kids. It's a bit pricey but it's a good way to spend a day and introduce the family to realistic Dinos and to learn a bit about North America history before humans were around.

Curtis Sutter

Live quite a ways away. Went with wife and kids. Had a great time walking with the tall trees giving lots of shade. I believe each path (there are two) is around one kilometer each. The mini golf was well kept, the grounds clean and the giant sandbox kept the kids pretty busy. I would certainly go again for another day trip.

Tom Radzikowski

Not much to see at this park. You can literally walk through it in 20-30 minutes.

Jillian Scholten

Just what you'd expect. Very cool for kiddos. I thought the length of the trail and time spent was perfect. Not too long for little legs but still long enough to make it worth the drive from Edmonton. Good value and a fun day out. I worried it might be too scary for my 3yr old, but he loved it!

Lorie R

Super fun family experience walking through pre-historic times! The life-size dinosaurs around every corner on the trail were something to behold, the kids loved it and was a good education for them and us all at the same time. There is a little restaurant there as well which we enjoyed the food at. The terrain is flat and doable for people with disabilities, using their walking aids. An all round fun and pleasant day!

Louise MacPherson

Went Monday for the first time. Wonderful place to spend fun with the children. The rides could be a bit longer for a buck. The children are just on then off. So I hope they change that. They need a fryer for fries.

Ominous Dodo

Absolutely incredible! Excellent for toddlers and strollers! Plenty of places to sit and take a break and the staff were smiley and friendly! Very reasonably priced!

Jennifer

The dinosaurs need to be updated and fixed. The dinosaurs in the sandy play area are falling apart and full of holes. The sensors that make the dinosaurs move don't work most of the time. They could put in some more background stuff like waterfalls and better speakers to hear the animals. The mini golf is fun, its new but when u get to hole 3 you need to walk over hole 4 to get to it and then back again to get to hole 4. It's just a little confusing but fun. The gift shop is poor and needs more stuff it's just blah. We have been there a few times it's fun but does need an update. To the owner please don't just say sorry that our experience was not good just please do something about it. People r not happy and u don't do anything. Fix things. It's exciting the first time but after that it's kinda boring.

Dave Young

We took our 4 year old nephew there. It's a large area. Place for the kids to play. Great place to spend a couple of hours. Wooden trails. Went in late September. I would think early the mosquitoes might be an issue. Bring some snacks not much offered at the concession.

Nicole Sorensen

Since I have not been here since a child my family and I decided to try it out again. At the park we seen many dinosaurs and did mini golf. This is a small dinosaur park with trails, the setting is suppose to represent the Boreal forest. The park was alright but compared to other places these dinosaurs are not as colourful although these do make noise. Honestly for me I would prefer to see dinosaurs at the Calgary zoo or in Drumheller.

Caeli Callaghan

Kids and adults alike loved this! We enjoyed it so much we bought the membership. Lots to see and do, a well priced gift shop and confectionary. Only thing I didn’t like was the family restroom was located outside and far away from the other bathrooms.

Matthew Murray (ComicMattMurray)

Absolutely amazing. Can't believe I had never heard of this place. The only reason we found it was a specific Google search for "Dinosaurs Edmonton" Once we got out there we were very impressed right from the entrance. Huge walls and fences ala the movies. Reasonable price and all the wooden pathways are very well maintained. They took a lot of care to put the animatronic dinosaurs into nature, rather than just clear-cutting the land. The effect is a combination nature walk and dinosaur discovery. Some of the giant insects were very intimidating. Didn't try the food, but the big sand area for kids was nice. They could have put out more "discovery brushes" for the kids, and the dinosaurs in this area aren't very safe or designed for climbing (though that's all the kids want to do). Overall highly recommended and worth the price/drive.

BoBearz Family5

Definitely suggest checking this place out at least once. Disappointed that it doesn't seem like its being upkept. Ropes need to be replaced and some boards. It's still fun especially for young children who like dinosaurs and very accessible for strolers and wheelchairs. A little overpriced for the amount of time you actually spend there.

Callinda Brown-Lapp

My 4 year old Grandson loved it! Well layed out, lots of dinosaurs to see, several picnic areas and rest spots spead throughout

Calvin Engen

Good place for a afternoon out with the family. About 30 minutes North of the city. Ample parking. Be sure to bring insect repellant. Takes about an hour to go through the boardwalks. Big park and sandbox, can pretend to excavate dinosaurs bones. Been going here for the last couple years. Nice to see that they keep adding new animatronics. Gift shop is big, lots of items for kids to pick for all ages.

Se Ty

This is a super cool park to go with kids and adults. Beware, the mosquitos and pollen are insane, so just go prepared with that in mind. The swampy waters are a breeding ground for the mosquitoes. However, this shouldn't deter you from going and experiencing this amazing park. Animatronic technology is really well done, and the park is well maintained!

Klint Kolach

Took the family to see the dinosaurs. It was really neat. They even added some new dinos. The kids had fun. They even have a mini golf course now.

Tammy Williams

A fun filled park for kids of all ages. Dinosaurs are everywhere. 2 small trails to walk to explore on our own or with a guide where you can learn as well as see many dinosuars move. Mini golf is also available. A small sand park with dinosaur toys to keep children busy. A small gift shop and concession. Very reasonable price for an afternoon out with the family.

Roberta

Really fun walk through the woods with life like anamatronic dinosaurs that move and make sounds. The mosquitos were fine but I've been when they're bad so bring spray. Fairly affordable too.

Lyle W

Great place to take the little ones, robot dinosaurs and a large "jurassic playground" for them to play at the end.

Fred Salloum

Quite a fun experience. great for kids and has mini-golf as well.

Kaitlyn Forsyth

Such a cool place! The whole family loved it.

Sam K

Best place to explore specially if you are interested in dinosaur era and you wanna spend some time with family and kids .

Curtis B

It was lots of fun but a little pricey for the amount of time you actually spend there. Was able to see everything within an hour. Good for a weekend trip with the kids, but not a lot of going back value.

Eriel Tepsa

Both my husband and 3 year old loved it here. There was lots of signs for learning and the moving dinosaurs kept the 3 year old engaged. Bonus that it so close to the city!

Terry Laraway

Had a resovation but still needed to wait in line for 20. First world problems I know but I timed it so my two young kids wouldn't have to wait.

Jessica Davey

Good for a half day field trip. The 5 year olds I went with had a lot of fun!

Rod Skelton

This is a must see for the kids. The animatronic dinosaurs are a big hit with my kids. There's a wait in line to get in, and the walk through the dinosaurs is quite long, so bring a wagon or stroller along with drinks and snacks. The walkway is a wide, wooden walkway, so there is no issue with getting stuck in mud.

Randi Doucet

It's alright at best. $39 for 2 adults and a 3 year old is super overpriced considering there isn't much to do. Two small trails with animatronic dinosaurs. Took us less then an hour to go through and the playground isn't a playground, it has a bunch of plastic dinosaurs and sand. The kids climb up on them but I don't really think you're supposed to. No slides or anything. And mother of God the mosquitoes are out of control, even with bug spray my family is covered in bites. I won't be back for sure.

Jonathan Latour

Great way to spend the day with the kids. The trails are fun and the park is a nice place for parents to take a break while the kids run. Be sure to bring sunscreen on a sunny day for the kids playing in the park. Not much shade located there.

Sarabjeet Matharu

Great place for kids and adults alike. Our little one enjoyed the very real looking dinosaurs and for us it was the tranquility of being within the park. Loved it.

Olivia Daly

This pace was awesome! My 3 year old was so excited, especially when they would move and "talk" to him! Live that there's all kinds of information on the natural plant life and bugs in the region too! Was a very easy walk as well and ready to maneuver a stroller around.

Kel Fit

Had good weather that made it a nice way to spend 2 hours. It was busy on a Sunday which I thought was great. A little on the pricey side for a couple of hours. Place has loads of potential.

Jeff NG

Simply fantastic. Lots of moving Dinosaurs. I love that its in an actual Alberta forest. Someone spend a lot of money on this place. Worth every penny of admission, which was reasonable. All the Dino's were working except one which 3 people were working on. Very well laid out. Take bug spray. 2 sections of walking trails with dinosaurs, a kids playground, mini golf, gift shop and concession.

Amanda Morrison

Awesome! Three generations had a blast. Excellent walkways for people with mobility issues. One word of advice, give a few moments between you and the group before you. The dinosaurs need a few minutes to "rest" between visitors to get the best reaction.

Aurangozeb Fnu

Nice place to have an adventure with dinosaurs. There are two trails and while walking you will be trilled with moving dinosaurs and the sounds. Dinosaurs can only move trails, neck and eyes. But be careful with mosquitoes. Use mosquito repellent while visiting.

Sean Georget

Was a fun little day trip with the family. Kids loved it and got so excited every time we found a new dinosaur. Very reasonable price for 1.5-2 hrs of entertainment.

Ruby Charles

First time and we all loved it, my kid's and I really enjoyed our time there . Especially my two year old his obsessed with dinosaurs ,and he couldn't stop talking about the on our way back ????????.

Don Fear

It's been 3 weeks and my daughter still will not stop talking about the dinosaurs. Very educational and was a lot of fun. But bring deep woods off (bug spray) or you'll regret it.

Tina Heeney

Amazing family outing! Staff was very friendly. We will definitely go back

Matrisha Wong

Nice walk. My children love going its a nice way to spend a morning:) staff are friendly and helpful:)

Z D

We went here for a family trip & we did enjoy the place a lot. I thinks kids who likes dinosaurs will really enjoy the place, there’s dinosaur sounds even. There’s a wooden pathway you follow that will lead you all around the park, there’s benches if you ever get tired. Great place for taking pictures. I Would go back to this park.

N.N85

This is a great way to spend an afternoon out with the kids. Upon entry there are 3 dinosaurs that the kids can ride for a dollar (wish I knew to bring change) as of now you can't leave once you enter due to covid, so bring change! We printed off a scavenger hunt activity and the kids were busy with that. The park was not crowded on a Sunday around 3pm. The trees give enough shade and shelter from the wind making is super comfortable during the walk around the forest. There is a huge playground center the park, with a lot of picnic benches surrounding the area. In the playground they even have a buried dinosaur fossil for the kids to brush and dig out. There are 2 trails, along the way you will see several life size animatronic dinosaurs, kids felt like it was real! The walkways are all well built and sturdy along the trail with a lot of benches to take breaks and a lot of garbage cans. There are a lot of swamps along the trails so definitely bring bug spray. I was super impressed, wish I heard of this place sooner, my kids are itching to go back!

ffdl

Best realistic experience of dinosaurs and related prehistoric animals as you walk along in an actual forest environment habitat, complete with movements and roaring sounds. It's like walking back in time during the age of these prehistoric animals.

Neil Cloke

Had a great time. Helpful staff. Great attractions with very detailed information. An all round great place for the whole family.

Zoe McDonald

Went here today and it was very fun. A great place for families to go for the day

Corey Macdonald

This was actually really cool, would have given 5 stars but the park is closed. Also the food stand took like 20 minutes to get our hot dogs. It takes about 2 hours to go through the park but if you wanna play mini golf it's a bit over priced in my opinion.

D Ward

Great place to take small kids. There is a picnic area and sandy dinosaur themed playground that the kids loved. I thought the admission fees and food prices were normal for an attraction like this so I'm confused by some of the other reviews.

vicky Connolly

We brought our 2.5 year old and 7 month old the other day and it was the best activity we’ve done as a family in Edmonton. We all really enjoyed it and was surprised at how stroller friendly the trail is. Really well done and entertaining. The play area looked like it was being enjoyed by kids of all ages and the picnic area is a nice touch. Had no choice but to go around twice as our excited 2 year old led the way. He would have stayed there all day if we let him.

James Mason

Awesome walk in the woods at Jurassic Forest. Very well maintained and marked paths, excellent animatronics on the dinosaurs! Kids had an excellent time. Looks like fun Minigolf course too.

Lucas Gutknecht

Due to covid....there really isn't much to experience here. They only allow a certain # of people in at a time. With the park being closed, it's only the walking trails open. 1 hr of waiting, for a 30 min walk, while being eaten alive by mosquitos, was not worth the price of admission.

D. Ladores

My little one had such a great time! It’s like a little gem in the middle of nowhere. But it’s really worth the drive. We stayed for a few hours and lots to do for kids. And the tickets are quite cheap for $15/per person!

Autumn Ludwig

My son and I have been twice already, he is always talking about it! We will be back! Ticket prices are fair, and gift shop prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend. The only thing I'd like to see are more dinosaur displays!

len

This place has lots to offer. Good for family and group of friends..partners to go and explore. It's a huge relaxing place to enjoy the scenery and a place for a picnic. Please do not forget to bring your mosquitoes repellant. Or wear long sleeves and jeans to avoid it. Always carry your water bottle and snacks on the side to eat while touring. The camera is necessary for your memories to capture. Highly recommended to explore.

Jabir Dawid

Not bad place My kids do not like it that much

Kathryn Adams

Amazing! I loved it just as much as the kids! So many trails and cool animatronic dinosaurs. We also had a great round of mini golf. Such a great family adventure!

Amber

I don't know how anybody can complain about Jurassic Forest?! We all loved it! The previous weekend we took our children to Drumheller, which was great but we heard that "it would be cooler if they had skin and moved"....still lacking the imagination to think about what that would have looked like and the interest in the science of it. So, needless to say they thought this was pretty awesome in comparison! Plus, it wasn't nearly as crowded and made for a great time not being shoved around - made it so we could take our time and enjoy the experience. The paths were beautiful and clean! Dinosaurs were entertaining (we did have a couple kids running ahead and tripping the sensors on us so it kind of ruined the surprise for us-but certainly not the facility's fault). Mini golf was fun. Picnic area looked cute.

Grant Jackson

Educational and enjoyable. A couple of the animatronics weren't working correctly but most were great.

Lee-Anne S.

Cool place for young children. Dinosaurs move their hands, head and some of dinosaurs you tails moved and made noise. Great place for kids 3+

Dean Heuman

It was a good time and fall is great time to go. We were there early and it was fun with the grandkids. We will go back

75MrClean

3rd time going there. The previous was quite a while ago. Some of the exhibits are showing some age, but the are doing maintenance and setting up new ones. Will be going again

ES

Such a fun place! The paths are amazing and dinosaurs are life-like and engaging. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Vitalii Sharapov

The forest is so surrealistic... magical place! Very clean and nice for kids! Had a good rest while walking through the forest!

Colleen Boehnke

This is a unique place that is child friendly. Lots of walking on a well planned wooden walkway wide enough for strollers. Animatronic dinosaurs and insects with fact plaques. Great sand area for the younger kids and mini gulf is available for the older kids and adults. Don't forget the bug soray as you are walking through marsh areas. A great gem of a find. A must see.

Adam Withers

Always adding attractions. We'll kept up. Great place for kids

Thomas Changarathil

This has been something I had been wanting to do at the behest of my little monkey who has been wanting to visit the dinosaurs. For the longest time, I had no idea that this place even existed, so when the opportunity came, I packed the family and drove about 45 minutes(I live on the south side) where it is a few Km from Gibbons, AB. From the moment I arrived at my destination, I was thoroughly impressed with the setup which modelled its design like the movie. Due to the circumstance that it was an absolutely gorgeous day, made the experience double the enjoyment. This place had everything a child from preschool to middle school would enjoy. The reception area had a mini-museum with actual skeletal fossils and animatronic heads of dinosaurs that would swivel its head, open its jaws and roar inches away from you. There is also a gift shop. Next, you step out into the open area that includes both coin operated gyrating or stationary Dinos that provide fun and adventure for riding tots; a playground equipped with dinoesque slides and climbing apparatuses, a mini golf area, a picnic area, and a snack store. Now the main event. The surrounding perimeter of the above description is the actual forest, where there is a simple trail that takes the person on an adventure to see the amazing life size animatronic dinosaurs, greenery(lots of attention and information is also dedicated to plant life to also indulge the future botanists), insects, and pterosaurs along this perimeter. Motion sensors trigger these giants to move there limbs and roar making the experience enjoyable. Along with each exhibit, there is a placard that provides descriptions of the prehistoric legends in regards to the time period they lived in, size, and other aspects. With all this, there are some things to take notice: 1. Bring food-There is a snack bar which will give you necessities, but no epic dining experience. We packed a picnic basket with sandwiches, snacks and drinks and enjoyed ourselves. 2. Wear lots of bug spray-the raptors may not feast on you, but the mosquitoes will if you don't douse yourself with ample repellent. 3. There are washrooms, but they don't appear to accommodate large scores of people that frequent this place so beware. Overall, I had a wonderful experience with my family as it was everything I hoped it would be for 40 dollars for the family for the day(I spent 85 dollars to spend an hour at taste of Edmonton for context). No, I was not convinced that I was on Isla Nublar, minutes away from being devoured by a Theropod, but it was the experience of my little one that makes me want to comeback before the summer ends.

Carolyne77 Legault

Perfect safe social Distancing for the kids and adults to visit during Covid

Melisa Matic

The forest itself is a blast and my daughter loves going as dinosaurs are her favourite animal. I will however say that I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that to purchase a family pass I have to have to list the names of all the people in my family and they’re the only ones who can use the pass. I think that if I purchase a family pass I should be able to use it for any 2 adults and 2 kids in one visit, this is the only company that I’ve seen that does this, everywhere else as long as the max adults and kids is reached they don’t have an issue... if I’m paying for an annual pass it shouldn’t matter who I bring with me wether it’s my husband and daughter or if it’s a friend and her child, at the end of the day it would only be 2 adults and 2 children using the pass and I would have paid for it regardless. Smh.....

Michelle Sawler

Great for my 5 yr old. She had so much fun.

Hailee chomyc

They renovated the place. The dinosaur move way better, they got painted. We really should of got a year pass cause we will be going lots this year.

Tiffany Chung

Kids loved it. The dinosaurs in a natural environment look so real. The path is easy to follow and stroller friendly. And the play area was such a great place for the kids after.

Natalie Zmidz

Highly recommend it. Perfect for the little ones you have that are giant dinosaur fans. We had a great time! It is so well done...the staff was great...and everything there was just right for our family outing. Thank you so much and looking forward to adding this again to our roadtrips. (The nature lover in me appreciated that you added facts about the forest along with the dino facts)

Charlotte D

Great place to take a toddler who loves dinosaurs. With all the rain we had though, it was buggy! We spent a few hours there and both the 1 year old and the 2.5 year old were pretty happy. They gave the dino playground a thumbs up. Take insect repellent!

Sharon Harmatiuk

We revisited Jurassic Forest since 2010, and unfortunately they haven't mad many changes. (Other than over priced mini golf). The few activities available didn't keep us busy very long and we ended up leaving. On the trails, some of the dinosaurs were not identified. This would be more helpful for kids to learn.

Alba Urena

Love it. My 4 years old boy enjoyed so much.

Heather Speer

What a great place! Suitable for any age, completely stroller and wheelchair accessible, nice and shady because it's mostly in the trees. There was so much to look at! The antimatronic dinos look so real set in the forest. The plants are …

Ali Janeczko

The animatronics are amazing, but if you want to read the information signs bring someone tall! I think the guy who installed them was 7ft tall cause I could not read half of them.

Vikki Overacker

Was nice .. too bad the park was closed

Eve A

It was a great place to spend a day outside with the kids and grandma and grandpa. My son is obsessed with dinosaurs so this was a super exciting experience for him and I think my daughter turned out to be even more excited. It was pretty easy to social distance there and they have rules and recommendations in place (outlined on their website) I would have loved to try out the mini golf but the kids are too little. I would definitely do it again. Make sure you bring mosquito spray and a bug net for your stroller.

Ashley Corkum

We took a very unplanned trip here today and it was a great choice. My oldest is 2 years old and had so much fun. We had lots of fun too. Only downside for us was the mosquitoes but we expected it as it is set in a wooded area with water and it's that time of year. They weren't terrible but definitely annoying. I thought the entrance fee was fair, I was expecting at least $20 so the lower amount was a nice surprise. Most of the dinosaurs activated but a few didn't do anything. We just told my oldest that they were sleeping or resting. The wooly mammoth was by far his favourite. It would have been nice if everything activated. Otherwise we had a great time and would come back. I do agree with another review I read that said it's not really for kids over 10y.

Colleen Davidson

The experience in itself was good. I enjoyed the walk around and seeing all the different kinda dinosaurs but definitely more of a kid thing to do. The gift shop and random animals around (actually living ones) were probably the highlight for my love and I!!

Anna Thompson

Love it.pur 3yr old was in heaven he loves dinosaurs. 10/10 thank u for a great experience

Adriana Diaz

This place is amazing for anyone interested in dinosaurs. My kids said it was way better than a visit to the zoo! The cafeteria though was really empty. The only food they serve is hot dogs so bring some snacks!

Alysha Hicks

Its a fun place to take the kiddos but once you've been you dont really need to go again and again. The mosquitos can get fierce but thats to be expected. The gift shop is very expensive so stay away if you dont wanna spend 20 dollars on a dollar store toy. Im glad we went but we dont need to go again

Trinity Hawes

Fun time with the kids! Easy to to book a time slot online and not crowded.

kearalee O'Dwyer

This is a great place to take your family! I have three boys and we will definitely go back. Every display has information to tell you everything you need to know. So not only is it fun it is also educational!

L S

I found the experience to be a little underwhelming. The kids enjoyed it, but this is definitely a one time visit for us. You can make your way through the park in about 45 minutes. It’s an easy and relaxing drive in from Edmonton. The price of admission was $45 for a family of 4; a little pricey for what you get. Inevitably, it’s something to do with the kids, and a fun way to pass an afternoon. What was most disappointing was the lack of ground maintenance and basic cleanliness. We must have stepped over 15-20 disposable masks, and you would see empty water bottles strewn in the grass on either side of the path. I understand that this is reflective of the ignorance of customers, not the establishment, but careless of the establishment not to take care of it. Traffic only moves one way, so it would be too easy to have a staff member walk through from one end to the other and upkeep the cleanliness of the place. It would go a long way. Especially in the climate that we live in currently. In my humble opinion, very different experiences, but this has nothing on Prairie Gardens in regards to price and what you get out of your afternoon.

Brian Barchuk

Beautiful put together park, nice area setup for kids as well as a picnic area to stop eat. They have tour guides which will provided a lot of fun knowledge about the park. Do remember to bring mosquitoe spray.

Angie Carrillo

Why I gave 4 stars cause there is only 2 bathroom for all visitors( lady& men),the food was not much of a selection and the souvenir store was almost empty but guess because of the virus there are low on stuff. Otherwise the staff was awesome and customer service was great and the walk was nice around the park finding dinos???? the kids really enjoy it and more because of all the dragonflies around and other cool facts about the bio diversity in the area.

Nate Staffer

It was a good day. Nothing to invigorating in the parks. Playground needs some work and signage is fairly faded. Dinosaurs were great but sensors seemed to be finicky. We would go again but not worth frequent trips.

Matt Soulliere

You get through the whole park pretty quickly even with the little ones, you can stretch it to about 90 mins but that's it

Lyndsey B

Great place. Both kids loved it and so did Mom, Dad, and grandma. Will definitely be going back.

sabrina joslin

I felt uncomfortable given the current pandemic, combined with the number of people present. The parking lot was packed, and people were not social distancing. Watched as more and more vehicles arrived, and decided it was best to leave and stay safe. We will try once more, probably around open, to hopefully avoid the crowds. I'll update my rating after that. This rating is based on the fact that unlike other attractions, this one doesn't allow you to choose a specific time slot, which would allow the park to limit entry and stagger guests. Might be something to consider as the weather is nicer and people are vacationing at home.

Carmen Peddle

My grandkids had such a great time here and I loved the clean, well kept wooden pathway to walk through the park on. I was surprised at how handicap accessible it all was! I have an injured leg and couldn’t have gone otherwise. It would be neat if the park would think about adding some guided tours to inform visitors about each dinosaur. I heard several others mention that too. It would also be neat to have someone in the play area explaining about dinosaur dig sites and why they use the brushes to uncover the bones. Overall, I am very happy with the large variety of dinosaurs we saw! Thank you!

Lyndsay Kearns

My 4 year old was obsessed!!! We had a great visit. It was end of season and had park to ourselves! Super cool that dinos come to life as you walk past. Highly recommended for parents whose kids are in dinosaur phase!

Aimee Keskeny

Great walking trails for strollers and foot traffic. Awesome family fun

Raghu Nadimpalli

Nice place for Kids between 2-9 years of age. Make sure to use mosquito repellent a lot because there are too many mosquitoes along the entire path in the forest. Only the play area and the mini golf courses are mosquitoes free.

Katherine Luknowsky

It is a wonderful place to take kids on a cool nature walk. Golf was closed when we were there but trails were beautiful. Just wish it was bigger! If you go more than twice per year, the family pass if worth it and very affordable. Not sure how often they update attractions as we have only been for one summer so far.

Scott Taylor

Awesome place to walk with the kids. For what it is, it's great. You're walking through the forest on a set path. So it's easy to keep track of the kids, and there's a lot of shade. That said, most of the points of interest are written on plaques, so the kids would rather run ahead and see the next thing. So harder to enjoy it as an adult, and get the full experience. I felt the price was a little steep for how long we were able to make it last. But it was a good time. I just don't think it'll be a regular trip given the costs.

Ndubuisi Obiajulu

Very exciting place to visit, lovely.

Merle Ferguson

My 5 yr old grandson and I spent about 3 hrs there and quite enjoyed it. Reasonable( not cheap) concession prices and clean bathroom. Pathways (sidewalks) well maintained .

Caitlyn Calder

There were lots of animatronic dinosaurs, but nearly all of them had issues triggering the sensors that made them move. They aren’t very convincing though, and that is a major drawback seeing as most of the real entertainment value was signs that kids obviously can’t read. This could be a half day visit at most.

Pam Suelzle

We had a great time exploring with the family. The environment was perfect, the boardwalk was well maintained. The giant dinosaurs and other creatures were animated in that they moved a bit and had sounds. The kids had a blast!

Alli Sywenky

We love this place! My 3 year old loves how the dinosaurs move and talk. The family membership is so worth it because of how often we go. Playground is also awesome.

Lance Tee

Absolutely amazing, totally impressed. Universal and Disneyland would be proud!! Highly recommend, worth the drive!!

Andrew Thomson

The kids absolutely loved it. It's a nice walk through forest on both the north and south paths, and they loved discovering the dinos hiding in the trees. The dinos look pretty good, and it's cool to hear the roars from other parts of the trail. Good, simple info posted about each dino. The price is in line with many other family activities. Would like to see more added to the little playground, but aside from that, a good visit.

Steve Bristow

Great place. Been here a handful of times. My two oldest boys (6 & 5) still get a kick out of the Dino's. Could definitely Do a little work to the pathways, but that's pretty minor. We had a stroller and made it through no problem.

Parveen Sangah

It's ok. Many animatronic dinosaurs but we went on a very hot day and there were too many mosquitoes around to completely enjoy ourselves. The gift shop could be stocked with more toys. My boys were disappointed with the selection of toys there.

Natalie Bader

Our family had a wonderful time, our 2 and 4 year olds loved it . I strongly recommend mosquitoe repellent is applied before you start to ensure an enjoyable experience.

Joyce Andre

Took our 2 yr old grandson....he loved all the big dinosaurs and the noise they made. The 2km boardwalk is great with lots of spots along the way to rest on benches. It also has a small playground that he loved.

Amy Colin

Made for a nice afternoon with the kids. My only complaint was the information signs were waaaaay too tall. My 11 and 8 year olds couldn't see at all. Bring them down a foot or two.

Xuezheng Chen

Pretty good with two trails, with dinosaurs model moving and playing roaring. Information boards providing info. Good for kids and people loving history and science

Peter JeongHyoun Rho

This is a wonderful place to visit with kids. There are kid's playground, mini golf courses, the gift shop as well as trails.

Jeremy Gair

Not nearly as information heavy as Tyrel Museum so great for kids. They have a park and mini golf too. Nice alternative feel to a museum.

Sean Bertoncini

Great experience from start to finish. Requires some maintainance but the staff make up for it with their charisma and charm. Had a LOT of fun and will definitely be going back someday.

Jonathan Hesje

Great way to spend an afternoon! There are 2 different trails you can walk along that feature the attractions. The animatronic dinosaurs and insects are great! They move and/or make noise as you walk by. There are constant interesting facts about the dinosaurs, insects and vegetation along the dirt/boardwalk paths. There is a basic concession stand to grab a bite to eat and a nice sitting area. There is a small playground with adorable small dinosaurs easily seen from the picnic tables. The one disappointment is the mini golf. It is lackluster and not in great shape. Otherwise definitely worth a visit!

travis haynes

I liked the place its a nice forest walk on a boardwalk. Lots of fibre glass things some that move. The gift shop wasnt badly priced. The food options were very limated. But you can bring your own in

matt mclachlan

My kids are quite little so they don't have the patience to read the signs on the north and south loops: they are quite informative about paleontology and modern flora and fauna of Alberta. But there's a pretty good sandy dinosaur themed playground, so they were happy to play for a long time. Bigger kids might also enjoy the mini golf.

Mariana

It was better than I thought. The dinosaurs are great. They can move and have Lots of details. The playground is a little bit ugly, but my daughter had so much fun. Also, stroller-friendly ????

Josh Mackintosh

Pretty good entertainment for kids. Two loops to do - the new dinos are stellar. The old ones are old! Expensive - only worth it if you can spend several hours!

greg Coulombe

Very nice, the information was interesting and the Dino real-life.

Arlo Marshall

It’s been awhile since I travelled that way. Prices were fair, the park it’s self was clean and very beautiful. All in all a great afternoon with the wife.

Ryan Chomyc

Really cool experience for kids, however a lot was taken away due to the motion sensors that turn the dinosaurs on not working very well. At some stops we had to move back and forth for up to a few minutes just to get them to move accordingly. Other than that it made for a great family afternoon.

Andrew Smith

It was very fun. Scale representations and cools scenes that sneak up on you. Sound design needs work.

Bill Jackson

Spent a few hours being a kid, what a fun place for everyone, lots of room to spend the day.

Amber Lee

Great place for kids and adults. Love the dinosaurs and nice trial, nice wooden trails are stroller friendly too. The gift shop has good selection and prices are reasonable.

Chantel O

Never got a PDF file sent to me to print off my tickets so called and asked what to do, the lady on the phone talked I me like I was stupid but re sent me a file that worked. (Also think they should figure out a way to do mobile ticket scans for convenience of travelers) BUT other then that we had a blast! Almost all the Dino’s were working, kids ha lots of fun digging up bones in the sand and sounding out all the Dino’s names. There is a little picnic area off to the side that was cute and will definitely bring some subs next time for a picnic! There was a concession, toilets, mini golf, gift shop. And lots of seating for sitting down and having a meal. Ps. Bring bug spray! It is an actual forest so yes there is gonna be mosquitos.

David Hodson

We took our 6 year old granddaughter here. It was quite busy and was a long lineup to get in, but was worth it once we got inside. Seeing the excitement and happiness in her was enough to make us want to go back again. We took the time to read a lot of the information posted. It took us about 1.5 hours to complete. A very enjoyable time for all three of us. We recommend this place to all.

YUSUF AHMED

One of the best places in Alberta for kids. Very entertaining and educational if you got one if their staff with you.

rob harkema

Great place to bring the kids! Make sure you have TONS of bug spray, you are going to need it, the mosquitoes are horrible out here. However, with bug spray they leave you alone.

Brittaney Anderson

Great covid resteictions in place here! Honestly only saw maybe 3 other groups at most on the path the whole time we were there. Great little family outing

Robin Cinqmars

Great fun for my familey ( we have a 4 and a 2 year old) the trails are very stroller friendly. Admission is reasonable and you can bring your own food, was alot of fun.

Ryan Peterson

fun place the trails are good. the kids had lots of fun.

Brandie Litke

I really enjoyed taking our boys (5&7). My husband and I plan to go back on a date day to actually read everything

Colleen Fonkalsrud

Because there was 6 of us we are giving 30 stars Hubby and I took 4 of our grandkids ages 5 to 13. We all had a blast! Educational, entertaining and enjoyable. The 2 hour car ride to get there was minimal we look forward to our next visit the grandkids asked to come back tomorrow ????.

Lou Beau

Took my 4 year old neice her and she loved it. The trails are great and the displays even move around and make noise. Great place to spend an afternoon

Evan Bamber

There was as much there as we were hoping for. My son really enjoyed the dinosaurs although there were far away from the trail system and at times I had to lift him up to see them. It would be great if they added some more dinosaurs and had something that was interactive for the kids.

Steve Kowalchuk

Great little gem! We really enjoyed all the attractions and nature walk around your park. Our 4 year old was beyond excited seeing all the life sized Dinosaurs.

Cody Tkachuk

Great way to get outdoors with the family. Great walking trail and cool dino exhibits for the kiddos.

Taylor Cullum

Fun outdoor activity for your kids (3 and 5) who love dinosaurs.

Gabe Lerca

This is definitely one of the places your kids may want to visit. I would say, it's designed for ages 3 to 7, although I think any child would enjoy coming here at least once. It is fun, instructive, and a good place to spend time as a family. The park is smaller than I imagined, although me and my 5 and 7 year-olds got to spent here about 2 hours. The design of the site makes it is very to keep a close eye on the kids. What you will find here: + shaded trails, leading to different species of dinosaurs (with wooden planks, and railings for comfort and safety); + a playground with sand, obstacles, and a few dinosaur "fossils" (that kids can "discover" using brushes available on site); + a fenced-in picnic area, where kids can play freely; + a small kiosk with hot foods and snacks (with a seating area next to it); + souvenir shop; + real size dinosaurs, available for riding ($1); + mini-golf area; + fun strollers available for smaller kids ($5); + spacious free parking. If your kids love adventure, walking through nature, and playing in the sand, then this is a place you shouldn't miss out on.

Rob Molyneux

Very nicely laid out, lots to see and information cards conveniently placed. Not only information on the dinosaurs, but the vegetation as well. Our family really enjoyed it and would go back as I'm sure we missed lots.

Paul Fraser

Such a great place to bring the family. Looks like the exhibits have just been refurbished this summer so they look great! The motion sensors could use some repair as they can be a bit delayed but otherwise, great location, staff, COVID policies, facilities and exhibits.

Pam Todd

Great for the preschool crowd. Older kids find it a bit cheesy. Nice board walk. Easy wheelchair access. Food available is hot dogs, popcorn, pizza. All awful and too expensive!

Alexander Gavin

Great walk, very stroller friendly. Moving dinosaurs were great for the kids! Not all the dinosaurs had description plaques, which was a little disappointing (hence 4 vs 5 stars)... but at least they're always working to improve!

Jud K

Awesome place to go with kids. The boardwalk is great and the Dinsosaurs really come to life

Hay Hod

My young (3 yrs & a 10 month old) Kids enjoyed it, didn't take long to see everything. Only downside was SO many wasps!

kelly fehr

Great for people of all ages. Our kids loved the experience. The animatronics on the dinosaurs were well done. The play area was large. Make sure you bring mosquito spray along for this.

Alex Thomson

Such a great place for kids. My son absolutely loves it here

Jessalyn Gillis

Lots of fun, great dino themed play area. The kids all loved it (aged 18months- 11years). Spent about 2.5 hours, and could have easily spent longer.

Berna M.

Love this place for kids! Just their reactions every time they saw a dinosaur move was with it. They were so excited. A great place for little kids. There is tons of space to have a picnic. Kids played in the little park for over an hour. Bring bug spray. Only hot food is hotdogs. There are a lot of snack foods to purchase. So it is a good idea to pack some alternative options to eat. Our friend who came with us said that sometimes someone dresses up as a dinosaur but we did not see anyone today dressed up. That would have been fun if there was someone dressed up. Overall a good place for kids to get some exercise outside and learn about dinosaurs.

Saad

Staff is rude. Place is good. They didnt even give me coins for ride and my son was crying. I told two ladies that I ll use debit card and buy something just give me cashback/coins, one on main reception and one in the store both didnt help. I even got icecream but she was so rude I dont understand why and she let me go saying she it has to be cash to cash.. she didnt give cash back although I paid with card.

Cindy Cote

Loved it! Enjoyed the mini golf.... some of the wood planks for walking on need repair

Jessica Copithorne

My family loves this park. We go a couple times every summer. We love the additions that have been added with the insects and more pre historic mammals. Very cool.

L. haviland

Spent a day at Jurassic forest for a birthday party. Had 4 grandchildren with me and every one of them said they had the best time ever. We didn't find anything over priced compared to what we pay other places we have visited. I am in a wheel chair and I was able to go anywhere the children went which is much nicer than sitting in the distance watching. The children age 7 thru 11 enjoyed both the north and south trails. The gift shop had just enough to please all ages and I felt the prices were good. The mini golf was fun for everyone from grampa to the 7 year old. The staff is very informative and extremely friendly. A well trained staff. We will certainly be back for another enjoyable day Thank you all.

K T

Really enjoyed the walk and mini golf . All the workers are very friendly and helpful.

Lowell Simpson

I'd be giving this place one star if it weren't for the very kind staff. Place was completely packed but yet they ask you to respect the distance of other families (impossible to do). It was very overgrown and poorly maintained in many ways with many janky fixes along each path. My son hurt himself because he touched a sharp guard rail (every single one has chipped paint and sharp edges). I will not be returning and would not recommend to others.

Tasha Hyatt

This was such a fun place to visit for the afternoon. My kids were so excited to see the animated dinsaurs. The pathway is great for walking and wasn't too long. There are benches to sit on along the way and mini golf at the end of the walk.
