Always nice to check out the flocks of migrating birds from the platform. There are some of those fixed binocular things (free of charge) for viewing through. A picnic table on the platform and some good descriptions of the local wildlife are to be had. Park your vehicle at the boardwalk area to the south. It is a bit of a walk from there but pleasant.

Nice outlook on the platform. There's even a table here where you could relax and have a picnic. Beautiful place to go for a quick walk.

There are two mounted binoculars to look for birds, free to use and one is smaller for kids.

Absolutely beautiful area. One of the things I definitely miss ever since i moved away. The views are absolutely wonderful in the morning and evenings. Walking the sunset is always relaxing. Although the platform can get a little crowded during the day/ peak times. Overall a really nice place to stop and enjoy life for a bit.
