Love this little hike by the city. Not stroller friendly, though now with the new upgrades could be accessed with a stroller for most of the trail. One downside is the highway road noise, but it makes up for it with the boardwalks, bridges and stairs.

Beautiful????

A bit wet and muddy in places right now. Beavers dropped a few trees over the trail by the pond. Nice and relaxing walk with a set of stairs on one end if you like stairs.

Quite beautiful - a tranquil getaway that almost makes you forget that you're in Red Deer. The trails are beautiful and well-maintained, with cool bridges, signage, flora, and fauna (deer, birds, beavers and other creatures). This park has river access, dog walking on a leash, eating areas, exercise equipment, well-kept lawns, and lookout locations scattered throughout. Perfect for a family log picnic, walking the dog, exercising, or just a peaceful getaway.

I dont know what a maskepatoon is... But this place is beautiful with or without them. :)

Jordan Rathwell

Gorgeous and they upgraded and the stairs and bridges so it's really nice and safe. Also not near as busy as most other paths in red deer so that's a good bonus

Martin Michalko

Hidden little gem sprawling in between highway and the north side of the town. Nice place for a stroll to clear your mind and give your pet so much needed excercise.

Dallas Brennan

Great walk had a most memorable walk.

I only got barely past the bottom of the stairs when the walkway got very muddy! Totally loved what I got to see so far and am looking forward to when all the ice and snow is melted so I can explore further! ????

Stunning scenery. Perfect morning hike.

Ryan Evans

More of a natural area than a park as there are no recreational facilities here, Maskeptoon is an ecologically sensitive rarity in the Parkland area. Strolling down the boardwalk that winds its way through the fen will bring you to one of the easternmost stands of tamarack growing in the province. This little known area is the crowning achievement of Red Deer's world class Waskasoo Park system and a great place to commune with nature.

D D

Great park for walk

Nathan Hoffman

Beautiful area for walks and jogs. Somewhat peaceful; the highway is right beside it. Muskrats, beavers (are maybe just more muskrats), moose, deer, and all kinds of birds.
