A haunted doll is one of the main attractions, most of the artifacts in the museum are from the Gold Rush era. *Update as of April 2021. Renovations are underway and are almost complete. Now that the building has been updated I have given this quaint little museum a five star rating.

Great museum! Lots to look at. Do the 'I spy' search, grab the paper and pencil at the entrance. And if you buy enough books at the annual book sale then you get an annual museum pass, best deal going. It also gives you a discount at Barkerville.

New improvements really bring up the rating. Used to be tired an old like the pieces in the museum, now it's got a face lift. Revitalized. Still would rather spend 5 bucks at McDonald's

A great little museum. Lots of great artifacts and absolutely nothing to do with mining gold (let everywhere handle that). Good call. Awesome helpful ladies working there. Totally recommended. P.S. My son really liked the photos in the C.D Hoy room.
