REVIEWS OF Montmorency Falls IN Quebec

Eric Davis

Great spot to spend the day. Lots of great views.

Allie

Very impressive falls that took my breath away! We took the cable car up but it's not that close to the falls, only gives you a side view, and was very short, so it was not as exciting as I had expected. The suspension bridge is cool even though it took us a bit of time to find it. Beware that the suspension bridge placement is not that very good. I think better pictures would be had if it was placed a little lower.

Jyotiskona Barik

Very scenic place.

Peter Fleschurz

Great waterfall. It is great when it is frozen. Parking is to pay. In winter the cable car is not worth it. In summer for sure! All in all a great experience

Zack Hanna

Nice place to walk and exercise and see water gushing... loved the huge multi-level staircase.

Chintan Raichura

After seeing Niagara Falls, this was like okay. But might as well spend some time appreciating beauty of nature while up there. But to pay for this? I wonder. Drive to this spot or park entrance was good. We parked at one of the supermarket and it was okay.

Jason Uberig

Worth the trip even if it is just for some great exercise in nature. The view is beautiful though and will help take your mind off the 400+ stairs :). We walked across the suspension bridge and down the stairs then took the tram back up.

Chanez Az

The falls are alwas so impressive and it feels so nice walking in the forest behind it enjoying all the beautiful colours

EL PARAISO STAR A

Very pretty and scenic

Henri Thai

Must see place around Quebec city

Henry Duncan

Majestic and humbling. There is zip lining and other fun activities but I was too busy being caught up in just viewing the falls from the bridge and the stairs. Wonderful place for a picnic and day with the family.

Pravesh Sharma

Awesome place for a day trip, beautiful small town and very attractive view points from the top. Enjoyed the Gondola rides and lots of places to have some photography. Nice family time and beautiful waterfall will make your day. Depends upon the season but i enjoyed the starting of fall time with normal temperature and beautiful tree colours.

Jane Jing

Simply beautiful! There are two parking lot for your ticket. One is on the top of the fall. One is next to the visitor center.

Martijn van Etten

Beautiful waterfalls, well arranged to visit. Different possibilities to visit for people that want to walk a bit more or a bit less but still be able to see everything. If it’s hot, bring some water because there’s not a lot of possibilities to get some during the route.

Kiley Hodgson

Want to know what Jurassic Park feels like? It starts at the feeling you get when you park your car, its exhilarating and gorgeous. We opted for the stairs so my muscle memory will keep it in the banks. Great for photos

Jian Yi Zhang

I don't understand the appeal of this destination nor the reason why tour agencies always include it in their Quebec City packages. It's a tall waterfall (OMG HIGHER THAN NIAGARA FALLS!!11) but narrow and lacking in rich landscapes and biodiversity. You get an 'impressive' view of a bridge and highway along the St-Laurence from the top. Wow. It might be a better visit in the winter when you can ice climb the frozen water chutes, but still a pedestrian affair I would feel. Takes one around 40 minutes of brisk walking to go full circle, up and down the walkway. I would recommend avoiding the useless cable car ($12 or about) and do the Zipline from one side of the falls to the other instead ($30): you can simply go around the falls and walk up the wooden stairways to the suspended bridge instead of riding the gondola for 2 minutes (unless you hate walking, but then again why would you even come here if you hate walking?). I guess it's a decent enough spot for family picnics; there's a grassy rest area on the top next to a parking lot. Meh. Go to less travelled parks up in the north if you want to see rivers and waterfalls.

Nathan Byrd

This was a lot of fun to see, only slightly overshadowed by Niagra falls which we visited the next day. Still this falls has more "character" in a way, and we really enjoyed both the gondola ride as well as getting up close to the falls, right into the spray.

Grace MacNeil

Relaxing place to visit at any time of the year. Easy walking and many areas to take photos.

R. D.Batho

Lots of construction now ... So no rock climbing or zip line... And the base of the walk down is not finished.... We did walk across two suspension bridges and that experience was epic... Huge falls bigger then niagra... And you get closer

Peter Keddy

Gorgeous views and walking trails. Amazing little gem close to the city.

Cícero Souza

Excellent park! I am looking forward to return there one more time.

Tom J

Nice scenic walk over the bridge with spectacular views. You can truly see the power and beauty of water falling down. It can be crowded. Easy access from upper parking lot or Montmorency estate or by telepherique from parc building and lower parking lot.

A !

The falls are about 15 minutes from Quebec city. 4$ per adult for QC résidents, free for kids + 4$ parking. The cable cars were sadly closed during my visit, but if you are looking for a challenge, cross the bridge and take the 500 steps down the stairs for more up close view of the falls and a great chill spot to take in the beautiful views. You will have to climb 500 steps back up, not for the faint of heart but well worth the effort. There is beautiful greenery all around to have a picnic or sit around and take in nature. The views and sound of the falls is gorgeous, not to be missed! Enjoy!

Samer Mobarak

Definitely not free admission. Coming from Ontario you go to a tiny park not worth paying per person and per car. Tourist trap. View is nice on the bridge but Park outside and go onto the bridge

Amber Botti

Tourist place. Was pretty to see but I wouldn't go out of your way to get there.

Syed Gnaniarsahib

Very nice place. Prepare to walk a lot $12.50 for parking plus cable car ???? extra.

R S

Great falls with a unique bridge above the falls. Parked down and took the cable car. Up the hill expect a lot of walking. Very short drive from old Quebec.

T. L.

The falls were great. The admission was about $17 for 2 adults, the kids under 17 were free. We found the cable car too expensive (about $50 for the family in addition to admission) so we opted to just walk the trail and bridge. There were some food trucks and vending machines on site. Wonderful few hours.

Sourav Bhattacharya

Staggeringly beautiful, no matter what the weather is like. Cannot miss this place.

Mariana Cestellos Ramírez

Gorgeous place! Definitely great place to spend a day peacefully strolling through the woods or ziplining for the more adventurous ones. The zipline is really cool and you can actually get a video for free by downloading an app. You receive instructions on how to do so at the zipline base. Definitely a must see when in Quebec! Just a short drive away from Vieux Quebec.

Yuleidis Peña

Nice place to take pictures , beautiful views from different angles. Now they are building many new things but still nice ????

Nandan Vaidya

Great trails and views. Have been there only in Winter time but would love to check it out in summer time. Did tobogganing there, since we didn'thave time beforesunset to leave for anotherplace! Not the best place, but it works and it was fun!

Divya Binu

Beautiful waterfall located near to the old Quebec. You can admire the beauty of the fall by taking the cable car and you can feel the power of the flowing water if you use the suspended bridge.

Laura Verbich

Such a beautiful park and mountain! Wonderful for hiking or a more gentle walk. Lots of space to relax and enjoy a picnic or sunbathe. A must see!

Ahmed

you can hike from the upper parking lot to the bridge or take a gondola ride from lower parking lot. gondola tickets are separate from parking. its a nice place to visit during summer and winter as well. amazing views all year round.

Mayank Kumar

Although I believe that the park looks amazing in all the seasons, but there is something special about it in autumn....A short walk through the trees full of colorful leaves, splendid Montmorency Falls, breathtaking views of the surrounding from the suspension bridge over the falls- It's totally worth the experience!!

Christopher Suppa

Great park! Enjoyable for kids and adults. Lots of natural space and places to picnic

Hannah

Such a cool spot! Awesome viewing area, lots of lookout/break spots on the way up the steps, it's just too bad the best part of it was closed off for construction, but I guess my timing was just bad! Definitely a good little workout too.

Carli Ovadek

Gorgeous! Visited Montmorency Falls while in Quebec City, and it was one of the highlights. The waterfall is breathtaking and there is a beautiful space to walk around. Highly recommend!!

Cuong Nguyen

Parking $12.50 for car, $8.50 for motorcycle. No entrance fee. The upper area is a nice picnic area and there also is a playground for kids with swings. We saw 3 groundhogs and couple of squirrels running about. A short walk to the viewing at top of the staircase. View from this is good enough for some. Going down the stairs is a difficult decision as it looks way too high but also looks like fun. My older son gave up but I and my younger son decided to go down and found that going down was not big a deal. You can get close to the fall and the cold mist can soak you up in just 10 minutes. We were lucky to catch a small rainbow near the bottom of the fall. Now going up is kind of painfull if you are over 40. If you are not physically suit to climb back up then walk around to the cable car and buy a ticket to get up. Cable car ticket: $12.50 for adult, $6.50 for kid up to 17. At the top is a nice building and also a restaurant before 5:00pm. The restaurant was closed when we got there so don’t know how good it is. There are couple of vending machines on the right side of the restaurant to get water or soft drinks. Keep walking to the right towards the suspension bridge, cross it and you’ll be back at the picnic area. My wife, just woke up from her nap and missed all the previous actions, wanted to go down to see for herself and I had to walk down the stairs the 2nd time. Both of us decided to try to climb back up. Boys, It’s doable but for us 50+ we had to stop about 10 times to catched our breath. We took advantage of those by enjoying the views and snapping a few more pictures.

Furman White

One of the best days in Quebec was visiting Montmorency Falls. The zip line adventure was a great deal costing $33cad and get this, it included a video.

Shadow Services

Great falls and nice place to visit with family

Asima Arora

Nice view of the falls Surrounding areas of the park are being renovated but nicely done to keep tourist flow. Good social distancing measures and sanitation stations in place Very long lines for the cable car up

Sarah K

Really beautiful place! Not only are the falls great to see but there are great places to sit and relax. Nice park areas. Busy but worth checking out.

Ryker

I was astounded with les chutes montmorency! I was vacationing in Quebec and wasn’t sure what to do but I took a bus from Quebec City almost directly to les chutes. If you plan it right (you can just use google maps) then it’s not hard to get there within an hour from Quebec City (I was in the old town). It wasn’t expensive at all and it was super beautiful! It was self guided and didn’t take more than an hour and a half going at a food pace. I loved it! I brought a sandwich in Quebec and ate it while I was at the base of the waterfall it was amazing.

sareh da

Very beautiful! It is worth a visit. The area was very celan and organized. We went there during covid and they had put hand sanitizers at both sides of the bridge and red spots with social distancing for people to stand and they had soecified the path for people passing by. There was ziplining iver the falls which was very fun and the price was good. Highly recommended.

Dennis Vilensky

Beautiful scenery and a great place to take pictures and zip line. The walk up can be very tolling especially on hot days, so bring water and comfortable clothing and shoes.

Sam Kim

Awesome grand!! But i can't look at it from the close

Harshita Gupta

Half Frozen waterfalls .. truly amazing

Lisbeth Carolina Segura (Diva)

Great place to enjoy, specially in summer. Is a big walk but is really amazing. The enter is really cheaper, and if you are from the Province of Quebec is even more cheaper. There are green ares for picnic, pictures or just to enjoy! Clean bathroom and friendly staff!

Karmpaul Singh

Beautiful manor with picturesque walks and trails, culminating in a breathtaking walk over the falls on a suspension bridge. Fantastic views of the islands as well. It’s extra special during the autumn, when the leaves change colours.

Shlomo Levi

This was the second time here, and the first time with all my kids. They enjoyed it and for obvious reason thought they were visiting Niagara Falls - an argument on geography ensued. Parking was tricky at a cost of just over $14. However, parking at the down end of the chute is free. Of course, it gets you to pay to ride to the top, which is $15 plus for adults and $12 for children. Being free its not. We walked and skipped the chute, getting some valuable exercise in the process as we trekked up the stairs and collected a massive amount of photos. We also prepped for our own lunch and sandwiches and skipped that pricey “restaurant” food. Bring lots of water, you will save yourself money. For those feeling adventurous, there is a zip line across the falls. It’s a few seconds across the falls, and may provide your either trills you seek. Also pricey but just for the fun and Adrenalin burn, it may be one thing to jump into - after they have given you a sheet to sign away your rights. I noticed a few people signing the forms without reading the details - two pages.

Jenny

It is a very nice place. I am sorry that the weather was not good on the day I visited. It was so beautiful with the colorful leaves falling on the floor.

ATISH PATEL

Great View... Also road from Montreal to the falls is nice and if you travel in fall season can enjoy lots of falls color.

Jiahao Zhao

Did they really need to charge extra for parking after charging you for the entry fee? then you need to pay even more for the activities inside. If you want to see waterfalls, go to niagara. Otherwise would recommend visiting old quebec city. More interesting place to visit.

amber Z

nice place for a walk, part of the trail is closed now but still great. The view is awesome.

Nadia Khattak

A must to visit place if you are going to Quebec City. We visited in July 2021 and some of the areas were closed for construction, but overall it was a day well spent. Walking up on the suspension bridge while looking at the magnificent falls was a great experience. Ticket was $4/adult for residents of Quebec and I think $8 for others. Parking was also for $4, completely reasonable for the beautiful experience that you'll get.

Shahrzad Foroghi

very beautiful at each season! unfortunately the closed from bottom of the steps as well as the gondola so you can't go far!

Laquila Manning

It was nice. Quick and short, it is a nice short walk, about 7 minutes. It's a lovely waterfall. The area is clean and well plowed. I suggest really good snow boots if you are going in the winter, consider snow cleats for your shoes because of the ice. It's well paved and plowed but there's ice that can't be helped. They add gravel and sand to help with traction when walking. The bridge is perfectly fine and very safe, it's a lovely bridge.

Ma. Teresa Gutierrez

A good place where you can have a picnic, nice place to walk around and nice view

Mark Shewchuk

Fun outing, Rock climbing was open as well. Not everything is back yet but a good place for a hike

Dina Chaudhry

Beautiful waterfall ! A flat trail leads to the suspension bridge overlooking the falls- fine for children and older adults. The lower observation platform requires navigation of A Lot of stairs ;-) Current cost is $8 canadian per adult with unlimited entry throughout the day. Certainly worth a visit while in Quebec City!

alok das

Amazing falls with beautiful apple garden. ????❤️

Kimberly Porteous

Absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommended. Would return again

Richard Ashdown

Really nice place to visit. If you are fit and don't really want to pay $40 to use the cable car just park on the street and use the steps.

Penelope Irving

Really enjoyed our visit today. The grounds are beautifully groomed and maintained. Many spots great for photos; all instagramable! The gondola is a nice ride down where you can snap some great pics of the falls. There is also a cafe at the bottom where you can purchase pastries, sandwiches and coffee/drinks. The Manoir Montmorency is lovely. Great service with English speaking staff. The menu is also nice with a wide selection to choose from.

Peter Young

Beautiful waterfall, especially in autumn. Nice walking trails around and it even has a zip line across the falls (book in advance on the website). Highly recommend if you're visiting Quebec City

B M Adnan

This falls is pretty freaking awesome. Cable car and cable bridge, nice landscapes around. Yes, those steps to go down and you will pay back when you get up. And spectacular thing is the rainbow. Anyone will love this place.

Sandra El Khouri

I go there often but it was the first time I went during the night. The experience is different and pretty scary! We were alone. You get chills and it is so nice! You only hear the falls. The view was incredible. I suggest going when it's dark and not crowded.

Sai Krishna

Very refreshing place! Make sure you have atleast 4 hours to spend here

Annie Mike mike

Strong filings end scaring on top of the falls

Balu Baby

A must visit for anyone visiting Quebec city, just about 15 minutes drive. The entrance fee is minimal but there are cable car ride, zip line, adventure climbing etc which can be enjoyed buying separate fee. The view from the bridge is spectacular and it can be enjoyed from the cable car.

Ric Aguilar

It’s worth the price of admission. This park has a nice trail with an amazing view of the falls from the bridge and from the bottom.

Allie G

The cable cars were closed for the season. The last day opened was October 11th, Thanksgiving Monday. The whole area is under renovation & construction. The area will look amazing once everything is completed. We were still able to see the Falls and surrounding park. Since it was technically closed, the parking was free.

Zaheena Somani

$20 parking + admission on weekend. The views from bridge are beautiful but to get full view of falls they have a short trail. The view is worth the workout.

Christie McBride

Highly recommend this if you are visiting the area. Take the stairs down to the falls and then ride the funicular back up. The views were spectacular!

Loulou's Picture

Great place! Its gorgeous, even in winter.

Raúl

Beautiful place, a wonder of nature, super recommended to go with family or just to work out going up all the stairs.

Melissa MacNeil

Great place to spend a bit of time and go for a walk. There are a couple different trails to take for a walk around the falls. Info center with gift shop and bathrooms on site. There's also a little gondola type ride you can take to the bottom of the falls and get a great view.

Tony Wong

Worth checking out if the water if flowing! See it first by driving through the highway, then park and go up close. The walk path to the bridge is a nice view!

Kevin Siu

Look nice, but the park is little bit small

yellow boy

Great spot lots of hiking and waterfalls were spectacular

fozia mahboub

Went there on 10 July 2021, it was amazing tough the area down the stairs is under construction so we didn't get so close to the falls down. And zip line is temporarily closed... It was a refreshing and tiring trip but worth it to see the beauty of nature.

Jeans Wong

A place for everyone. Family, couples, friends, sightseeing...etc Pros. Easy to access. Can be reached by car, on foot, biking or cable cart. Easy to park. Plenty of parking. Easy to locate. Close to parking, few entrances. Nice view. Exciting to walk across right on top of the fall. But not too scary. Cons. Amended with a small park. Not too many restaurants nearby. Overall worth to go.

Alireza Aslemand

Nice place to walk around, Near to the city center, Free entry.

MeeMee

If you’re visiting Quebec City, Montmorency Falls site is worth the detour. We went there during Labor Day weekend. We did the zip line and the view (for the 10-20 secs you’re “gliding” over the waterfall) was amazing! We had this sweet couple (thank you Haley and David) who captured our descend. It’s great for a family outing as well.

W Sung

I’ve seen a lot of waterfalls, some were magnificent and some were average. However, this is didn’t disappoint me! I liked the top was covered by the snow and ice but the water still FALLS!!

Andrew Su

The day we went was a bit cold it was slightly snowing. There are two parking area to the falls but one of them was closed. The parking looked like paid parking so we decided to park near McDonald's. After we walked into the falls area, there was a bridge that outs you right over the falls giving you a close-up top view of it! If you cross the bridge towards to the east side there is a trail/path to go down towards the bottom of the falls. Here you can get a nice close-up view. Make sure your equipment is water resistant as to avoid water damage from the mist. After your hike down you can grab the gondola back up to the top if you don't wish to climb the stairs. I decided to walk so I didn't check out the price of the gondola ride. Overall, great place for photos and workout.

Christophe Fadainia

Great landscape, great view. The waterfall is amazing and huge! I highly recommend!

J Arcega

The views are amazing! You can go to the bridge to see a view from the top. You can also go down the wooden stairs to view it from the bottom. PARKING TIP: you can park on the side street so you don't have to pay a fee to go to the bridge.

Hunain Mehmood

Loved sitting at the spot and just watching the falls. Great place to bring kids. There's also a park and swings near the falls. A cable car takes you to the spot near the falls where you can walk the bridge above the falls

Maksim Bogdanov

Definitely a must visit place but it does get pretty cold so make sure you have some toe warmers

Navrang Dhaliwal

There are two locations from where you can enjoy the falls. First is from the top, you can walk on the bridge and have a top view of the falls. Beautiful scenery and cool breeze. Second is from the bottom, where you would take stairs and reach at the bottom of the falls. I liked that one better, you will get full view of the waterfall and its surroundings. There is also a restaurant and souvenir shop near the falls.

Diana Tomasella

Already reviewed. Ok to visit once. That's enough.

Brian Ong

Take the stairs if you can. There are nice views from the stairs and platforms. There are a lot of steps to get to the top. Then take the cable car down. If the stairs are too much, then purchase the round trip cable car ride.

Ken Sanders

Easy access to the top or the bottom. Drive to top, Cable car to top from base of falls. Be brave and climb the stairs! Free entry to the base if you bike in! Clea, Clean, Clean!

George Eidmouni

Its nice to visit. We had such a blast at Montmorency Falls! The sight of the waterfall is pretty spectacular from the bottom! The walk up is not too terrible but I will say the walk down is a bit hard with children so big no no!!! Walking across the bridge was exciting and it’s a great !! Bring a hat with you and take your time enjoying this wonderful place

Susan Brown

This is a must see waterfall! The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 is because I think the $8 a person entrance is a little steep. It’s a waterfall at a park... But, we paid and we enjoyed it even though it was rainy outside.

Zellaa Gillespie

Beautiful! I recommend coming here with friends or family. Its very peaceful, even if there's alot of people. The park is huge and you can even go for a small 50 minutes hike in the mountain.

Syed Ahmad Hassan Tirmizi (Syed Tirmizi)

It was fun being there.. hanging bridge on the top of falls was really different experience.. it worth watching that.. falls itself were normal if you compare it with Niagra.. however view was good..

Jisan Samrat

Amazing and mind blowing view. It’s give you peace on your mind just to looking around. Went twice during the Summer and Fall. Both time it’s outstanding. But in Fall it was so beautiful feel like I am in a colourful art canvas. It was an extraordinarily feelings. I can put all the good adjectives but it would be still not enough. Definitely will going back again.

Gowrisankar Rajam

Beautiful. Cable car not worth it. Would just climb up and down through apple orchard. Feel something is missing interms of experience considering the beauty of the falls

Melissa Lockey-Chatham

Crossing the bridge was terrifying ???? If you don't have a fear of bridges though you'll love it. Honestly, it was breathtaking. It is a beautiful scenery in a place rich with culture. I would love to visit in the summer as well, when it is warmer.

Gopinath Gopalan

Super class location areal view complete lake. \hanging bridge park falls down point. No words we have to feel it. Canada Quebec is most \beautiful place in the world god blessed..... washroom cable winch entrance \lobby food court area crystal clear water wheel chair assistant car parking free I recommended place best scenery class day and night view

Matt Surrey

Nice place to visit. Great atmosphere. A lot of tourists.

Michael Jursic

Stunning natural beauty. A suspension bridge right over the fall. Stairs down the eastern cliff side that provide amazing views. Ziplining across the falls in non-covid times. A cable car for going up. Nice visitor centre. This is a must visit when you go to Quebec.

Michael Jones

Nice falls to visit while in Quebec City. Its about a 15 minute Uber drive from Quebec City and worth your time to visit. $9 entry per person, $7.50 for seniors. Not as large or majestic as Niagara Falls but you can get up close. There is a walking bridge over the top of the falls and for those who like a lot of steps you can walk down to the bottom of the falls.

Claudia

This is a great outdoor activity for adults and kids. A lot of people visiting the place but there is so much space. The only waiting was to take the cable car going from down to up. I do recommend arriving up the park and walk down and take the cable car going up.

Kate Timbol

If you're commuting and staying in Old Quebec, take Bus 800 from D'Youville stop. Buy your tickets from a local convenience store for cheaper roundtrip fare ($6.10 instead of $7). You can explore the park for about 3-4 hours covering most of the spots. During winter, it might be impossible to go down near the falls as the pathway was covered with snow.

Filbert M.

Nice change of pace from Niagara Falls. It's as shorter than its big brother, but it's taller, and there isn't too much crowd. This place still feels natural, unlike Niagara. Oh, and don't forget to use sandals and a raincoat if you're gonna get near the waterfall.

Sireesha Nambigari R

Summer time is the best to visit these falls. Most adventure sports are closed during winter. Cable car is functional round the year. Beautiful view of St Lawrence

Cathie Ingalsbe

This place was breathtaking. If you are visiting Quebec City, take the time to go and see the falls. I went just after a snowstorm so there was still about a foot of snow on the ground and some of the falls were frozen! I only walked halfway across the suspension bridge because it was windy! Great memories.

Alex Prosser-Snelling

Super. Not as stunning as the canyons up the road but very impressive. We skipped the whole waterfall/cable car experience and drove up to the top of the falls where there are numerous options to park for free in exchange for buying a coffee or other goods. This saved money and time and we got most of the experience for none of the entrance fee. Spectacular and a must see in the Quebec area. Recommended.

Nidsy A

Breathtakingly beautiful with a stunning view from the bridge. Loved it!! Went during winter and the frozen falls was a rare sight. The trek is good too. Would recommend you to try this place during fall. They say that's the most ideal time.

Diesel D

Another great attraction. It's about 15-20 min drive from old Quebec city. There's zip lining. Walking down 450+stairs or you can walk up if you really want the exercise. There's a gondola that you can take to the top of the falls. Great experience nice view.

Z K

The falls were amazing, had lot of things to do, there were many trails, access to the foothills of the falls were you could experience the cool mist of the falls and it was really refreshing experience. There was a cable car which would take you to the foot hills and it costed $42 for a couple. It was a nice experience too. We also zip lined over the falls and it was a thrilling experience. Overall it was a day trip we totally enjoyed and would definitely go again if got a chance.Lastly Please like my review if it was helpful. Thank u!

Frenzyguy

Nice place, but website is not up to date, we knew zip lines were closed because it said so, but the cable car was not listed in the closed attractions and it was closed when we got there.

Michel Condoroussis

Really nice place to visit. Prices are very reasonable especially if you are from Quebec and the place is quite clean and well maintained. There is some construction, like everywhere else, but should make the place even nicer in the future so happy to see the investment. I would like to see more electric plugs, we arrived early and took the one plug they had, for a natural destination there should be more, notably in Quebec as power comes from hydro electricity. The bridge and the falls are amazing and you can even climb them if you wish.

Vỹ Nguyễn

There are staircases that allow visitors to view the falls from several different perspectives. A suspension bridge over the crest of the falls provides access to both sides of the park. There is also an aerial tram (Funitel) that carries passengers between the base and the top of the falls. In the summer the park hosts an international fireworks competition with the falls as a backdrop. During summer months, the falls give off a yellow glow due to high iron content in the waterbed. The Ice Hotel was located at Montmorency Falls for its first year.

Anand Ramaswamy

Amazing place to spend half a day or so. $8 to get in by foot or extra if driving. Lots of street parking just outside so I’d recommend to to park outside. The steps which take you to the bottom of the falls are really worth it, do keep in mind you’ll have to climb up the stairs (approx 50 flights!) worthy of an afternoon especially during fall.

Selena L

There's an $8 fee to enter the park and $2 more if you drove a car. We ended up spending more time here since we had to pay, and it was a beautiful park. There are lots of trails to walk around, and there are these crazy stairs you can take to see the waterfalls. The washrooms were clean, this is definitely a nice place to spend the day and have a picnic! There's a playground for kids as well, so I recommend this park for families as well.

mrWerder

Good job Quebec, quite a cool sight during both winter and summer????????

Anna Klinkova

Amazing place! Great views, there is a bridge going over the waterfall we walked on. So glad we stopped by. Entrance was free after 6pm.

Isuru Vidanalage

Gorgeous waterfall There was no place to pay entrace fees. Not sure it was free during the weekend. Ziplinine and other activities are closed. Probably due to the cold season

Yair Hirschfeld

Definitely worth a visit. You can spend an hour or 2, depending if you choose to climb the steps up and down. Nice view from the top and from the bottom.

Kritika

The beautiful waterfall is amazing. For having the best experience - walk down the stairs to the bottom the falls. Its a different world out there!

Raja Meer Baz

Construction work underway these days. Visited in June 2021. So one cannot go underneath the fall and obviously construction comes with the noise. The deck at a distance has a panoramic view of the falls. One can go over the falls, using stairs to get view from top.

Patrick Hanna

Good outdoor activity! Nice walk around the falls, and family friendly. Can get close enough to feel the water spray. Nice photos opportunities around it. Sufficient parking space, although it makes sense to find a spot on the road in order to avoid the rather high parking charges.

Ayaz Mohammed

Spectacular view from the bridge. Beautiful to watch and hear the huge water fall. Lots of foot traffic though on the bridge. Maybe because it was the weekend. Parking on either side of the bridge.

Maryam Talaghi

Really nice. There is beautiful bridge and wonderful especially in Autumn. Amazing Zipline and perfect view.

Noor Salah

Absolutely breathtaking. God is great is all I have to say. I've been here twice this is a must see for tourism or even locals

Melanio Enero

A good way to spend the afternoon in Quebec city. A short 15 - 20 drive from old Quebec. Great value for the experience. I highly recommend the zip line that runs the width of the falls.

Marlène Da Silva

Amazing place and beautiful 83 meters fall and view ! Located at 15min at old Quebec with car. You can park in streets outside the parking to save the 11$ fees and just walk few minutes more. You have some trails and wooden stairs (have to cross the bridge) to get a good view, but if you are tired you can use the cable car. Careful with the cold wind if it's not the summer time ! You can find a little park for children to play. No entry fees (Just parking fee that you can avoid) so it's a very good experience for not expensive ????

Maggie Giroux

Natural beauty turned into an expensive tourist trap. Still a nice place to visit, but prepare to sweat if you take the stairs

Stephanie Zundel

Tried to see the falls from the top, but it was icy and we had a toddler. Went to the bottom- couldn’t see that well. Beautiful but disappointing since you are paying so much to park for a bad view.

Riem Issa

Stunning, nice atmosphere and beautiful nature view. The cable car was useful too. Very busy but worth a visit.

Bhagya Modi

This is the best place in Quebec. The ladders to hanging bridge was tiring though. Just 10 dollars for car and individual is so cheap for this mesmerizing beauty. Well maintained.

Eric

Great place to visit outside of Quebec city. The falls are taller than Niagara falls, however less volume of water. The trek up and down the falls are a great way to see the falls at every angle.

Taylor Kuykendall

Breathtaking! Bring a windbreaker or poncho if you go early though. You're likely to get damp and a little little chilly otherwise.

Joey Peterpaul (NDN JOE , #ndnjoe)

Great Place to visit , Walk around the Falls , I was here in all seasons and still by far, the best place to visit even in the evenings as well. If you haven't got a chance to visit , this is the place. I would suggest this to everyone. Here some Pictures

Nayel- ie (Nay)

Best viewed from the bottom. Come up the Gondola and follow the trail/ boardwalk from the right side of the Montmorency building. Unfortunately the bottom half is all closed off this year/ season. Hoping to get to see it from its spectacular (bottom) view next year!

Tiffany Cheng

the park was smaller than i expected but with free admission and a beautiful view of the waterfall, it was very worth it. i would highly recommend taking the bus to the park as parking is limited and can be difficult to exit the park. we happened to come across a rainbow! very pretty! view overlooking the city is breathtaking! we tried via ferrata, where we scaled the rocks by the waterfall. truly a once in a life time experience where we got super close to the waterfall and an awesome exercise.

Abdullah AlBiladi

Beautiful place and charming views. I visited it in last fall where the gorgeous fall colours were all around. The staff are awesome and they speak English. We paid only around C$ 30 for the parking and that was it. Don’t forget to have your food and snacks with you especially if visiting with family.

Nisha Aryan

The route to fall is so mesmerizing. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as it a long walk to falls. It’s windy most of the time during fall and winter so make sure to wear warm clothes. There are a lot of steps to climb after a certain point if you wish to see the falls from a much better view. So make sure to carry a water bottle and wear comfortable footwear.

Chirag Tanna

Beautiful scenery! They have zip lining that goes from one end of the waterfall to the other. Something that everyone visiting should experience. Thay also have rock climbing which is very safe.

Rohan Parekh

A go to place when you visit Quebec city. They have lovely park but the base of falls park is closed for construction this year. You would have to use stairs to come down the hill and see the falls.

Aysha Rajan

Definitely go check it out if you’re in Quebec City. It’s about 10 mins from old Quebec. We took the stairs up; 487 to be exact! The gondola was not functioning but the stair climb was so worth it. Excellent views. Once at the top you walk through a park like area to the suspension bridge that goes across the falls. Be sure to bring your camera and also a selfie stick :)

Asif Ali yar

One of the famous places in Québec city.

Edel Lopez

Amazing place that you need to visits if you come to Quebec! The price is good and the view is unbelievable. After Covid some other trails are going to open again and you can do the sliding thing from one side to the other of the water fall. Amazing!

Cindy Smallman

Post garden season the falls were still 'big' with some minor hiking trails, a nice outing for all ages except the infirm or mobility challanged.

Vindy V

Loved the place! Food and other items in the park are pretty expensive, but nature was at its best! They allow you to go so close to the falls, that experience was mind blowing!

Rubaid Khan

The good weather made for a nice walk across the suspension bridge overlooking the falls. The serene and still water just before the falls is a stark contrast to the glorious in rush of the falls, the sound of which is deafening from atop the bridge. The mouth of the waterfall is cascaded and the rocks look so smooth as time and water flow has made it so. The surrounding walkways through the trails are also relaxing. The historical significance of the falls related to the strategic military location of the palace at the viewpoint is also interesting. The zip line and cable car rides looked interesting but having little kids with us didn't give us enough courage to attempt those. There could be a few more seating areas on the path and a slightly larger play area for the children, but the minimal entrance fee gives a balanced sense of what you get. Overall a satisfying experience for any nature lover.

Yi Zhang

New broad walk. You can walk close to it

Kebrit Films

Wow ... Great falls. I think this falls is understimated or maybe it is not seen as everyone just want to see Niagara falls (which is really beautiful too) But this experience is totally different as we can walk on tol of the falls amd see an amazing scenery from the above.

Gregg Vertes

Wonderful views and a few different ways to experience the falls. You can take the stairs, you can take the cable car, or you can drive up to the top where there is lots of parking there’s a huge field with picnic tables and lots of places to run around great for kids dogs or families. It also has a nice suspension bridge over the falls as well as other review areas. Highly recommend visiting, the price is reasonable as well.

Brett Woods

Scenic spot to view a natural wonder. Today was fairly clear and we were able to see the city in the distance.

VoudouLounge

What a nice park and falls to visit just outside of Quebec City for the most awesome day trip of your life. Admission to the park and falls is fair and so worth it just make sure to bring your camera along for some amazing pics along the way. The suspension bridge and the most amazing stair case are included with park admission and the cable car is an extra cost if needed. The stairs look intimidating but are doable if you are in stable health you can just take your time with breaks along the way.

Karthik Shankar

Highest waterfall in North America! Breathtaking views, easy access, a small walk of the main road. Truly awe-inspiring! There's also a restaurant/coffee shop which probably could be better. Please carry snow spikes, it's really windy and way colder than the thermometer indicates. It was -31°C when we visited but the wind made it feel a lot colder.

Beck M

A must see in Quebec...the dumping of snow we had made it absolutely gorgeous! We walked down to the first lookout then back across the bridge and right around to the other side in foot deep snow - it was magical!

David Hopkinson

Very nice waterfall with a cool suspension bridge above it. Only thing missing was an interpretive sign for the Wolfe redoubt. We also would have loved to do the zip line but that was closed for the season.

Daniel Gabrian

What a beautiful waterfall! Our stay there was limited by the rain and fog and visibility was reduced as well. But we still enjoyed the views. Hope to get back there in better weather!

Deepchill C

Nice spot, as of today, you can’t walk in a loop, you have to go up and then walk back down.

Emilie Noel

Beautiful landmark to visit in Quebec City! The stairs to climb up & down the sides of the waterfall were closed due to construction but the upside was the parking was free! Recommend that anyone visiting the city make a small detour to visit.

Caroline Giroud

Very impressive fall visited in spring, the flow of the water was crazy! The parking fees is really expensive (12cad) and doesnt include the lift ticket either.

Muhammad Mohiuddin

The park is very serene, the falls is stunning, but no comparison to Niagra falls in size and volume of water. There are about 400 steps of stairs to reach the bottom of the falls and after about every hundred steps there are covered benches to sit and enjoy the sound and looks of the falls. The apple orchard is absolutely fantastic. Parking fee is based on number of occupants of the vehicle, we paid $20 for 3 adults and 4 children (fairly reasonable). We went there on a week day, so parking was not a problem, but it can be an issue on a weekend as there are not so many parking spots.

Andy Noel Caba

Loved it very much. Such an amazing experience to be able to explore this natural beauty.

Sadie Au

Loved, loved, loved the Via Ferrata experience! Such a unique opportunity with a breath-taking view. Julie was our guide and she was so friendly and patient. She truly went the extra mile to make us have a memorable experience. I felt safe with an ample amount of gear, and metal rungs and ropes were in very good condition. The Via Ferrata course itself was just the right balance of easy and challenging. Highly recommend this to anyone!

Sarah Hashem

Beautiful hotel, tastefully designed and centrally located. Due to COVID there are no housekeeping service so you will need to make your own bed and ask for towels from the front desk when you need them. Otherwise the stay was lovely, we enjoyed the restaurant and the pool but the bar was closed. Will definitely return.

Kirk Hickling

Surprisingly a lot of walking but a lot of family fun

Alfredo Estrada

Beautiful site. The trail was very nice and the view amazing. Everything is in very good shape and maintained.

Soma K Rajesh

Awesome place. Cable car, walk through the bridge, old Railway track are nice. Perfect place for winter.

CousinVinny

12$ parking fee for 2 adults! Thé exploration from the top to bottom lasted around 1-3 depending how fast you go. You are met with really stunning views and it’s a well day spent if you take your time to enjoy ! PS the four photo is the " restricted access area ???? but worth if you don’t get caught ????

Soham Banerjee

Parc de la chute Montmorency is just 15 minutes drive out of Quebec city. There is ample parking space in the lower lot if you want to view the falls from below or walk up as close as to it as permitted. However, there’s a pretty long staircase all the way up to the suspension bridge and park at the top. You can opt for a one way cable car ride and then walk down the stairs. The waterfall is grand, but due to the lack of greenery on one side of it, it looks a bit lacklustre.

Nivedita Banerjee

We visited the fall in January when the fall is half frozen. Beautiful view and so exciting to drive to the top and small hike over the fall mouth.

Ludmila Domakhina

We really enjoyed this Parc. It has trails and nice views, and several small playgrounds. The only disappointment is that cable car closes too early. We were late (by 5pm) and had to go back by foot with 2 small kids. Also zipline was closed

Cindy Chen

This is a great near by place to visit when you're in Quebec city. There's a beautiful park on the other side of the waterfall perfect for picnic.

Christian Ardito

Gorgeous park for hiking.

Adventures with Rachel

The view is stunning! Enterance fee of $8cad. Worth the hike. You can reach the bridge by hiking up or walking over. You ca. Pay to zipline over the falls for $26cad. I'm visiting during October and still super busy.

Mahrukh Ammad

Great place. Walk around, have a picnic, kids can play, great place to sit back and relax. Very clean and there are shacks to buy water, slushies and ice cream.

David Mx

What a gorgeous place! I came here as a child and was able to return recently. The falls are just as amazing as they were before. Lots of walking involved if you want to get close enough to the Falls to feel the spray, so wear comfortable shoes. Everything was reasonably clean and the gift shop had a lovely assortment of options (t-shirts, hoodies, stuffed animals, books, mugs, magnets, maple syrup and candies, etc...) at reasonable prices. The staff were bilingual (French and English) which made it easier to ask for assistance. There’s a lovely array of flowers around the property. Don’t miss out the little waterfall on the way in (also pictured) - there’s a tiny parking lot that allows you to stop and take pictures of it. Parking is $12.25 CAD if you don’t take the tram to the top of the falls or do the rock climbing. Definitely worth every penny. (Trivia: it’s actually about 100 feet +/- higher than Niagara Falls)

Nahomi Torres

Really nice workers great service they are not mad at having to speak in English and the waterfalls are just awesome

Amy G

Very nice experience. We took the cable car up to the falls then crossed the bridge over the falls and too the stairs down. I highly recommend taking the stairs down if you can, you get a better side view of the falls.

Rob Macdonald

I would have never expected this spectacular waterfall a short distance outside of downtown Quebec City. We visited just after 10 am, it was very quiet. There was a small fee to get in, but definitely worth it. There were a number of different viewing points/platforms. I really liked the suspension bridge and the view over the falls. Another great spot was walking down the large number of steps on the north side. There are close to 475 steps, so be prepared to walk back up! Due to the high water levels, the lower viewing section was closed. In addition the Zipline was also closed due to Covid-19. There was a fair amount of parking and two entrances to the upper section of the park. Very cool!

Sarah Duff

Beautiful and breathtaking waterfall. There needs to be a bit more crowd control on the bridge to keep too many people from going on at the same time. There is a limit of 50 people, but no one was making sure this was done.

Sam Tardif

Really nice site with beautiful sights all around it there's two Bridges including a suspended one that passes over the falls. There are also stairs that go down a steep cliff that have a beautiful view.

Kathryn Foss

A stunning natural formation which I’ve only visited in the winter. It’s worth the visit to see the waterfall and the ice formations which are created from cold weather. You can walk from the land out over the water to the base of the falls. Make sure you have good footwear to walk on the ice. Parking is always confusing at the site and the visitor centre is not always open.

Anca Baban

Montmorency Falls is without a doubt one of the most striking natural wonders in the Québec City area. Stretching upwards a spectacular 83 meters—30 meters higher than Niagara Falls—it attracts thousands of visitors each year.

David Morin

If you dare to climb the stairs, you probably won't be able to take them to get down, still a great place to go, very refreshing when you're up the falls

Amedz Traveller

The cable car is closed during i visit this location,, probably this is nice falls during summer..

TheDoubleyou

One of the scenic waterfall in Quebec city, it's a must see while visiting to Quebec. Parking is available and you can do a hike as well to get a nice view. The bridge crossing is also nice and good spot to catch your memories

Kristen Horner

I absolutely loved hiking and zip lining here, it's such a beautiful place and the people who work here are such wonderful staff. Amazing

Abila Ganesalingam

Pleasant experience. It was nice to see different views of the falls. Zipline was temporarily closed though and didn't mention it anywhere. We only found out after going all the way up to the counter.

Mustafa Jirjees

A whole adventurous journey (cable car, climbing stairs or cleft alongside the falls, hanging bridge across the falls and much more) within the surrounding of beautiful water falls.

Seven Stars

Wonderful water fall in Quebec city. I really enjoyed vising this place. You can feel the fall from closed and it gives a nice feeling. The stairs are amazing as well as the bridge.

Ellen Blalock

If you have the chance to climb the rock beside the falls, DO IT! Such a fun experience!!

Ragini Vaswani

Beautiful falls. The board walk is is greatly appreciated every where. Challenge yourselves to take the steps to reach to the highest point to overlook the falls.. Also can enjoy overlooking the falls right from the top bridge by taking the pathway to the bridge from the park.

Krina T

Must visit place in Quebec City ???? Great place for pictures!! You can easily spend half a day here. There are 500 steps if you want to go down. Climbing 500 stairs is difficult, but it’s fun!

Brian Mok

This is an excellent attraction. A bit far away from city centre, but there is a bus. There's ice on the surface, but water is still flowing on the bottom. Magnificent view.

Ahmed Abdelmahdi

Very lovable place, no doubt i will visit it again

Stefan Meloche

A beautiful natural site to visit, if you feel like going up 487 step to capture great pictures of the falls or take a ride up in a cable car to the top of falls for more amazing views and for more exciments you can go ziplining over the falls!!

Pavan Kumar

We enjoyed our trip to this water falls from Quebec Old city. We took metro bus 800 and it took around 45 minutes. Outdoor activities are not opened yet such as zip lining. Still there is lot of snow on the ground and it is slippery at certain places. Water falls is magnificent with the view from the hanging bridge. Nice view of the St. Lawrence river from the bridge.

Luis Cano

We enjoyed our stay in quebec city, but over all we loved the most was the montmorency falls, lovely place, we went there for our honeymoon we had a great time hiking, all the views are incredible especially when you are on the brige right above the falls, I am excited to get back

Steven Ross LCSW RSW

Great vistas. Good hike up and around

Jack Paleczny

Beautiful place for a day trip! You can easily do it in 2 hours including travel time. The cable car is highly recommended. We took an Uber there and back and only waited 10 minutes or so.

Abdul Mustafa

Excellent location for all tourists in the city. Stunning beauty, great picturesque location. You can take some amazing photographs and get very closeup to the falls. The cable cars are well worth it, parking was free when we went.

Viktor Nagornyy

Great place to visit, take pictures, and enjoy a walk. I recommend you start at the top, crossing the bridge over the waterfall and then take stairs down. This way you can take elevator back up to the parking area. If you take elevator down first, you will have to climb up those stairs.

Leopoldo Armenta

Only about 20 minutes from the city you find a very accesible park where you can appreciate the nature, there are stairs in front and on top of the falls so you can see it from many angles and there is not fee to get in.

Andres Chavez

The falls are located approximately one hour from Quebec city. It was an amazing experience, the perfect combination with nature and adrenaline if you decide to ride through it via zipline.

Leonor Acosta

Beautiful waterfalls, but you have to pay to enter and for the cableway, and the car lineups were a nightmare. It's better to park on the street and walk a short distance to the falls.

N Bala

Certainly a place to be visited if you have time. If you miss out, you are not missing out much!

cat parr

The waterfall is amazing. And it's not a long walk from the parking lot.

Tim Eccles

Nice place to get some stair climbing and snap some photos.

Hugo Pelland

Great views and nice tram/bridge over the falls

Zach A

This place is absolutely stunning! The views are spectacular! The bridge spanning the top of the falls and the lookouts are incredible! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Montmorency falls! I want to go back in the summer to see the contrast between winter and summer. Don’t get me wrong though, it’s absolutely amazing to see in the winter and I’m sure equally beautiful in the summer. There’s lots of trails in the area as well which was a lovely bonus.

NB

I read quite a few negative reviews but we decided to visit anyway. Montmorency Falls are located 15 minutes' drive from old Quebec, even with the construction detours from the city. The falls are visible from the road, so for those who don't want an up close look, you can do just that - view from the road. For those who want an up close look, you pay a parking fee (per person) and head over to either walk up the 800+ stairs to view the falls from above, or pay a fee to take a cable car to the top. Once at the top, the view is quite different but still worth seeing. There is a manor / restaurant at the top offering food for those who decide to eat there. There are also food trucks. There are bathroom facilities. In addition, for the more adventurous, you can also partake in zip lining, which was closed during our visit.

Pablo Londoño

Beautiful park. I went in winter and it's amazing. It doesn't cost too much. There is a waterfall higher than Niagara falls.

Dawa Lama

Loved traveling to this serene place during the cold winter. Less tourists but worth a visit...

Jean-René Vallières

Charming, beautiful, breath taking! One of the best place to go to around Quebec city, and going near the bottom of the falls is amazing if you are not afraid of getting wet!

Ondřej Krpeš

Definitely highlight of our Quebec trip. Must see place if you are around. Super easy to get to, from both sides or even from the bottom. In winter stairs are closed since its all frozen. There is even zip line working in warner months. There is few overlooks around and bridge you can pass right above the waterfall. From city you can take bus 800 for 3,5 cad per person or go by car. In winter it was really magical.

Sandra Leung

Beautiful waterfall just a 15 min drive from quebec city. Set up for great views at every angle. Definitely worth hiking up the stairs to get to the suspension bridge at the top.

Lorena Zamora

Beautiful place to take pictures, the fall is beautiful, I recommend this place if it's your first time traveling to Quebec.

Derek Wride

Huge waterfall with great pedestrian access, amazing views and lots of fun activities available. The only fee to visit the site is for parking, or for the cable car. However, you can ride your bike to the site and access the area for free. Connected by great bike trails. We rode the cable car up and then walked across the bridge at the top and then came down the stairs on the other side. There is a great patio at the Manoir at the top and there are good ice cream spots as well. Loved the historical society that have been preserved, especially the redoubt from the battles between the French and English.

Allan Pérez

Beautiful place with great view, worth the ride, lots of outdoor spaces for picnic

Ashwathi Lakshminarayanan

Great place to visit in the summer. Lots of fun activities like Via Ferrata and zip lining. Lots of green open spaces to picnic. There's an orchard too which is beautiful. The views are breathtaking.

Jacqueline Jaeger

Our day trip to Montmorency Falls from Old Quebec was relaxing and enjoyable! We knew public transportation was available roundtrip from Old Quebec to the falls, but we opted for a taxi, which cost about $35 CAN one way to save time. Admission to the parc was just under $7 CAN per person. We love that the stairs seem to be included in the admission, but as flatlanders, we opted for the scenic cable car ride. We arrived at the upper parc just in time for lunch at Manoir Montmorency before hiking the trail across the bridge and beyond! The zip line was closed, but from the bridge, we could see the via ferrata and the people having that experience!

Damanpreet Singh

Nice views. Extremely beautiful in winters. Equally amazing in summer

Jonathan H

Nice falls, but with a lot of construction work going on around the base. Apparently there's going to be an underwater walkway? And the zip wires across the falls spoil many photos. I can't help wondering if all this development is spoiling a once lovely natural feature.

Nic C

Great spot for a quick trail. The waterfall is nice and the path is quiet and clean

Joe Hutz

Great view of the entire falls if you take the stairs! Nice gardens at the top. Don't forget the coupon book and guide ("Voila") at the top of the falls at the Manoire .

Kriss Kratt (Trusted Reviewer)

To eat at the restaurant, arrive early or it can be over an hour wait if very busy. Some paths were closed. Other parts, under constructions at the bottom of falls so be aware. Lots of other great views, places for picnics. Lots of stairs, so be prepared if you are not in shape. Parking attendant spoke perfect English. Lots of parking if you arrive early. Can't speak to later in the day but it gets very busy.

gaurav chopra

Beautiful place to spend an afternoon near Quebec city.

Fiery Fire

This place is the best if you enjoy the waterfalls. Walking through the bridge following the map through the stairs to a place which is so stunning and a visual treat to watch. I would say it is the second best waterfalls after Niagara falls

Dal H.

Nice new pathway/boardwalk along the train tracks, with glass fence and steps to relax or take pictures comfortably. They are renovating the lookout area at the bottom of the falls so we couldn't get as close as before. But the stairs are still accessible. We didn't walk to the top this time.

Alexey Malafeyev

Impressive views, there is a small park with trails as well as kids playground...

Pratip Bagchi

Great experience. This place was pretty crowded and little mismanaged but experiencing the Falls from the top was amazing

Landon Thomas

A must-see if you are able to. I really enjoyed running the stairs on the cliff to the bottom of the waterfall. If you have the time and you are in good physical shape then run down the stairs, enjoy the waterfall spray, then run back up the stairs. Be careful not to slip.

Oleksiy Markunin

Construction around it spoils it a bit, but overall a nice place for a stop.

Shawn Brown

These falls are taller than Niagara falls. They are impressive for sure. Unlike Niagra, you can walk across/over the falls. It does cost, and I am not sure what the admission gets you as we saw plenty of other entries around the falls that did not cost. Either way, $8 isn't bad.

Richa Deshmukh

This is one of our favourite places to visit, the waterfall looks absolutely stunning during winters. There is no access through the steps to go to the base of waterfall...however the sight from bridge is worth the visit.

Adam Pietrzykowski

Very nice to look at. Beautiful and breath taking. Definitely worth checking out

Rafael Carvajal

Proudly 30 meters higher than Niagara that has 53m. Very Cold during my visit December 26. It's really advisable to go to the bottom part (I didn't but other friends did after seeing their pictures I realized what I missed)

only-eyes On-what'sbest

Didn't got the chance to go over the fall but so nice to go once up there

Guillaume Militello

Awesome falls! A must see if you are in the area or just passing by. The park is free and parking can be free if you park at the top around the McDonald's.

Somyaranjan Sahu

It's wide open space with a walk over the bridge that goes over the fall . From where you can admire the wide open horizon and enjoy the sounds of the fall across a path full of greenery. Overall a pleasant day visit. This place has an amazing zip line that zips right across the entire breadth of the fall and a significant height. could not do it , but that's definitely on my wish list now!

Osman Sheikh

It's a great place for hiking with amazing views all across the hiking path. Make sure you have comfortable shoes and get ready for hiking up/down the stairs. Last cable ride leaves at 6pm.

Gevork Gevorkyan

What a natural wonder only 40 minutes bus ride away from the old City. Beautiful waterfall, and nature all around. Split off to many hiking paths, zipline, or take the cave stairs all the way down to the bottom of the waterfall. This is a must when visiting Quebec City!

Michael G

Enjoyed the funicular. Great views of the water fall. Would def check it out if visiting Quebec City.

Jungwook Peter Choi

It is a pretty nice place to visit. I visited there 5 years ago and it was free to enter at that time. But please note there is no restroom or any public facility if I remember correctly

M N Khan

Beautiful falls...walked across the suspended bridge...spectacular views of the falls from various locations..for more thrilling e experience one can even do ziplining...

Naldo Garcia

Elegant waterfall, a must see if you are in the area. You can park on the bottom and take a trolley to the top or drive to the top and walk across the bridge. When the temperature is below 0 you can see the ice building up at the bottom. There is also zip lining when the temperature is warmer.

Sherry Doan

If you're in the Quebec city area, it's a 20 minute drive out and definitely worth going. The falls are beautifully observed from the top via suspension bridge or below at after walking over 400 stairs downward.

Nordic Wolf

Amazing falls and a lot to do ! Tip: buy the tickets right at the park gate to avoid long tickets line inside. Also if u can carry an extra pair of shirt or towel, it will come in handy as u will get soaking wet at the bottom of the falls. If u like a bit of adventure their is a zip line across the falls. For fit people u can climb the stairs, a few hundred i guess, to observation decks and board walk or u can take a gondola all the way up. Bottom line a must visit if u r visiting Quebec city.

Victoria Anne

Beautiful falls. I enjoyed walking up the steps to get a better view as well as walking down below right beside the falls. I was able to collect some rocks which was cool.

Maryam Masoumirad

Wonderful place and a must see if you are visiting Quebec city for the first time. I went there last summer. You need to buy a ticket at the entrance. Then you can walk to the falls following the map. There is a semi suspension bridge on your way, too. You take the gandolla down and walk the rest of the path. If you wish to take photoes closer to the falls, you can go up the stairs. It has 3 levels and the third one has the best look. There's a machine after the stairs that you can buy pop and juice from.

Anna Nguyen

Great place to go at weekend. It costs $10 / person. Is it worth it? Yes. You could try going on the waterfall. Many activities such as zipline, hiking , picnicking and so on in this area. Some places are building.

Paul Bridges

Absolutely worth the trip out. We drove on our own rather than the tour bus, parked on one of the neighborhood side streets (legally) since it was heavy Labor Day traffic and walked to the suspension bridge. Spectacular views.

Matthew W

Nice gift shop and park area entrance into spectacular Montmorency Falls!

Asif Mahmud

Although so many places are closed right now, still a great place to visit. You could get the view of the falls from multiple point. Too many people so consider it before coming. Mask is mandatory for the COVID situation.

Hao Wu

Good place to enjoy the nature. Don't take the cable car, don't waste your money.

Mateusz Raniewicz

Amazing place! ???? These falls are amazing! If you're in the area would definitely recommend visiting

Guillaume NICOLAS

Great improvements made on site unfortunately the via ferrata and zip line were closed that day, it is becoming a must see attraction for all Quebec city visitors.

Ramsha

Beautiful falls! Unfortunately the viewing stairs are closed because of covid. You can still admire the falls from the suspension bridge and the park area.

Yash Barot

Definitely best nature place..

Hasna B

First time visiting Montmorency falls. It was such an ugly weather. Crazy rainy day with strong wind, very chilly. Other than the bad weather this was an amazing first experience. We did the zip lining which was amazing. The bridge is breathtaking and the view as well. There wasn’t a lot of people considering we’re in the midst of a pandemic. Everyone kept their distances. Will be back on a beautiful sunny day sometime next summer!

Spencer Marks

Majestic! A must see while in Quebec.

Savyo Relavio

Great view from the top and the bridge is amazing. Great place to take beautiful pictures.

W. P.

Breathtaking and thrilling! We went after hours, so we didn't pay to park. We walked along the pathway right up to the falls. We got soaked, but it was worth it. We then drove up to the upper level and it was amazing too, not as thrilling as the lower level, but you have to do both. An amazing thing to do for all ages!

Debarshi Biswas

Amazing place. The gps did get me lost a little as I was looking at parking at the bottom of the falls. Make sure you decide if you want to take the cable car all the way to the falls as you pay for it when you pay for the parking. If not you have to walk all the way to the falls. Just make sure you have walking shoes on as it’s a bit of a hike. Once you get to the falls though it’s an amazing view. You can also go down to at the bottom of the falls and maybe take a shower if you’re in the mood. There is also the option of zip line if you’re feeling adventurous. Beautiful place.

Jasgun Singh

What a beauty! Must visit for anyone visiting Quebec City. You just cannot miss this massive massive falls. if you're into adventure stuff and want an adrenaline rush. Do book for a via ferrata and zipline well in advance as they get booked very quickly. It lets you see the falls up close. There's also a cable car which was unfortunately closed when we visited. Check out the status of these activities before you make a plan.

enfys morgan

Beautiful place. You can walk over the falls and make a loop around. Take the cable car back up.

Etienne Delsy

Wonderful place to visit. I don't have specific words to describe it. See the pictures. Go and enjoy it yourself

E DLR

Not worth it, save your $ 50.00 cad per family, crowded slow, long lines, not worth the picture. Full of bus tours. Longest lines to funicular.

Mark Hopkins

A great outing for a couple of hours if you are visiting Quebec City. It's only 15 minutes from downtown. I suggest parking at the bottom entry point, walk towards the falls on the south side, then take the cable car to the top. At the top is a nice park for walking and to view the falls from above. Then walk down the stairs back to the bottom and your car. There is a restaurant and there were also some food trucks on a late summer day.

Mabin Antoney Pulikodan

Best place to visit , beautiful falls , its really amazing to watch the view from bridge and there some sports activities too. Entry free is cheaper for cars. There are some food trucks and restaurants out there. It was crowded when we arrived. If u visit Quebec, then this is a must watch place. Not so far from city also

Neto

A must see place in Quebec city. Just take the bus one block from Place Youville (you must have the exact price of the ticket because the driver does.not give change). It is very beautiful in Summer and beginning of Autumn. In Winter II is a total different places and the waterfall freezes. It is also a beautiful experience, although many places get closed because of the ice and snow.

Stephanie Krebs

Great time at the falls! There are three parking lots and one ticket gets you into all three. There is a suspension bridge and lots of view points, can easily spend a couple hours here!

Margarita Ibbott (DownshiftingPRO)

The beauty of Montmorency Falls is from afar. If you are able to see them from the water or from below, those are your best bet for pictures. If you take the cable car, be sure and take a picture because when you are on the bridge above them it is a vertical drop and you don't actually see all of the falls. Be sure and stop off at the lookout on the hill for the best view. The only drawback is that the zip-line wires will be in your sight line. Although I did not descend the stairs, I would assume you would get a great picture from that angle. This is a nice stop on your way to Canyon Ste. Anne (which is quite spectacular). This is an easy drive from Quebec City. You can drive up the hill to avoid the cost of the cable car

Tulasiram Kaveti

Lovely water falls. If you are going to Quebec, you should plan to visit it for sure. Such a nice place, you can enjoy with your family and friends.

Amjed Khalil

Amazing view. Cable car is very nice. You can walk above the falls, be a brave and do it because you don't want to miss it.

Buki Omotosho

The fall is magnificent and awe inspiring. Best views are from the lifts and the extension bridge above the falls. Careful while taking pictures with your phone on the bridge though

Loïc Routhier

Beautiful falls, beautiful view on the St-Laurent's River. Pay entry, and you have access to the two parkings (top of the fall and bottom). Beautiful trails to explore.

Johnny Trinh

The fall was really nice but many areas were under construction. It should also be noteworthy that social distancing is almost impossible at many places such as the suspension bridge, or the stairs leading to the bottom of the fall.

Peter Dobson

Great experience overall! View is amazing and food was great! However, I waited nearly an hour for the cable car from the bottom to the top. The ride was underwhelming and if I were to go again I would just walk half way down the stairs then back the way I came. Not much to see at the bottom and the cable car is certainly not worth the wait. Overall great place to visit when in town!

Sahil Singh

A review from Winter time - Dec 2019. Some tips 1. the base station was closed and there is no need to pay parking. We paid the parking and found later that nothing was open including parking stations. 2. The zipline and cable car is closed for season too. 3. Souvenir shop and boutique is closed on weekdays. 4. You can go up to the falls and the bridge is open but I think it may be subjected to weather conditions. Now for Review... It is Nature at its best, You feel how strong the nature and climatic forces are... the falls is partly frozen in December the basin is almost frozen.. and so is the river from where it is emptying from and also where it is emptying to. The lively and buzz of summer is replaced by cold frozen white paradise..... Spectacular.. Jaw dropping.... Must visit

Mike Ma

Fun place to visit, except they have construction going on right now which doesn't allow you to fully walk the trail

Vikram Baraiya

The worst place to be ever be at, not good accessible washrooms, had to stand in line for almost 1.5 hours to use a washroom.only 2 accessible washrooms both on opposite sides of the falls so you can't even get to the other one if you are close to one. And that to don't forget the fact that you pay to get inside the park to view the fall. So even after paying you have to wait for 1.5 hours in line just to use the washroom . Would have been a better experience and an experience that would have been remembered in a different way if not for the unavailability of washrooms.

Karen Toledo

The view at Montmorency Falls is absolutely stunning. Definitely recommend visiting this place! The cable cars were not functioning during the time I visited, so the only option was to either take the stairs or park closer to the top of the falls. While it make seem like a lot, taking the stairs is perfect if you want to observe the falls at a much closer angle.

Hovag Kara-Yacoubian

Scenic spot. If you can't handle a lot of stairs make sure you have the patience to wait through long lines for the cable car. Amazing site if you have the energy to hike and walk around in nature. Dog friendly as well! Some construction currently, but recently built deck and walkway are spectacular.

jess seddon

Great sight to view. We got the 800 bus from Quebec City ($3.50 each, make sure you have change!) - google was incorrect and told us to get off at the penultimate stop (Brideau) however we stayed on until the last stop which took us directly to the top of the falls and in perfect place to walk straight across the bridge. From here we walked the trail down, including the path in the spray from the falls (optional) which was great fun. Great views all round and plenty of photo opportunities. There was also zip lining and rock climbing, and also a cable car from the top to bottom of the falls and vice versa. Definitely worth a visit to see the falls which are 30m higher than Niagara. Also in close proximity to Ile d’oreleans if you wished to combine visits (~10-15 minute drive)

ratandeep kaur

It was a fun experience. There are stairs (a whole lot of them) that take you to the top of the falls and there's a walkway bridge on top of the falls. Or there arw cable cars that you could take to the top where they have a restaurant too. The cable car thing is a bit expensive but if you're not up for the stairs, that's the only other option. At the bottom of the stairs, there's a platform where you practically get drenched in the waterfall due to the spray. The water is shallow and you could sit by the banks of the river and just chill.

Andrzej Jopp

Nice place for a long walk, lot of stairs though so be prepared. Great view of the waterfall.

Chih ling

Beautiful waterfall with a drawbridge you can walk across. There's also a star that you are able to walk all the way down to the bottom of the fall. Just to let you know that it'll be exhausting when you climb all the way back up ????

Fathima Himaya

if you tell them where you’re driving from, they charge different prices. it’s ridiculous! locals get in for cheaper… that’s unfair treatment ! parking is charged per person and then for the vehicle. it’s a rip off…

Darany Tan

Its a beautiful waterfall. There a few activities such as ziplining and rock climbing. However, you can't do much at the bottom (such as swimming or playing in the water). You can climb the stairs or take the cable car to walk across the waterfall. There is a nice park and woody area if you wanted to take a stroll or have a picnic.

Carla Cano

We visited during winter time, early morning on a weekday. It was very quiet and calm, not a lot of people around. We were able to take a lot of nice pictures. It's definitely worth visiting, impressive waterfalls.

visionksn

We took a local bus 800 to the fall from downtown. It took around 30 mins. Final stop is des Rapides where the fall is right there. Amazing & fantastic scene! Compared to Niagara, it is less commercially developed and 30 meters higher. At that time(late of September), zip line closed. I was so sweating for going down and up(my mrs. gave up), but really good exercising. I saw people were hanging on the cliff for the climbing, I wished I try next time.

anshul tiwari

awesome place to venture out.. with family, friends or solo. amazing views and atmosphere. trails, walk or just enjoy a relaxing day and all that close to city. accessible both by road to the top, or just walk to the area. hike the place, enjoying the view or just take ropeway ride. enjoying sun or fall.

brahim ben ali

Amazing place to visit when you are around Quebec City

Patrick McLellan

Tourist trap. Map makes it look like there is a loop but once you get down the stairs prepare to walk back up them or pay 20$ per person.

Crisandra De Sousa

Wow, amazing time and experience. Very clean, park staff is very helpful. You pay for parking $12 truck and trailer. Entry to the park is free, nice souvenir store. You can walk to the bridge if you go to the upper parking lot, then across the bridge over the falls, then down the cliff on the stairs. They also have a cable car to get you from the bottom to the top of the falls. Make sure to pack some water as there is a bit of walking, trails are large well kept. Lots of water and pop to buy along the trail, as well as food. Bring a picnic and you will enjoy lunch on site, they have tables after the bridge. They also offer zip lining and rock climbing, not sure how much. Great for a day or half day trip with family. You can get real close to the bottom of the falls, on a hot day great to get wet. Overall great experience and time worth the time and money.

Tulika Chakraborty

Just loved this place. Entry fee 9$ per adult. Best place for day trip

Lori

Glad we parked past the manoir so we ended up taking all the stairs down and not up! Magnificent views! Cable car was fun!

Roza A

Beautiful falls just 10 minutes away from Quebec city.

Neena D

A nice place to visit while in Quebec City. About a 10-15 min ride from downtown and worth the visit.

Denis Castellanos

An amazing place to visit while in Quebec City, recently visit here and enjoy the site. The Falls are a bit taller than the Niagara Falls but not as much volume of water, recommended you park below near the highway it's $8 to come in for non-residents of Quebec and about $15 to by the tickets for the Lift car that will take you to the top part of the waterfalls. If you do not want to psy the right you can walk along the edge of the river and climb almost 100m og stairs which is going to be really tiring. Overall very good place

Chris Mich

Lovely scenery! I highly recommend visiting in the fall as the different colours of the trees around add to the beauty of the place. If you want a good workout, you can walk up the stairs. But if you just want to go on the suspension bridge and enjoy the view, drive to the Montmorency mansion and there's an access point from there to get onto the suspension bridge.

manpreet kaur

Once in a lifetime experience. I forgot niagra falls when I saw this . So romantic. My little children also loved the park close by . Beautiful trees . Best place for little picnic. Alot of stairs ........dress accordingly and take water !!

Kat K

Breathtaking views, nature in all its glory. 100% worth seeing.

abel fouopi lemouchele

Very beautiful place to visit. The water fall is really exceptional. It was a beautiful experience!!

Patrick Li

Amazing tourist location. Beautiful scenery, easy access. View from the suspension bridge is breathtaking, but it is even better on the wooden steps. At the base of the falls, many people try to cross the water and this was the best part. Trying to reach the other side is quite an adventure, and it is highly recommended. Make sure to bring a swim suit.

Gregory G

We had such a blast at Montmorency Falls! The sight of the waterfall is pretty spectacular from the bottom! The walk up is not too terrible but I will say the walk back down is a bit scary!!! Walking across the bridge was exciting and it’s a great place for some selfies!! Bring a hat and some water and take your time enjoying this wonderful sight!!

Juan-Carlos Ortiz

This place is worth a visit. I would recommend starting here and then driving down to old Quebec city for the afternoon. Take plenty of water if you plan to walk up and down the stairs. Amazing views of the falls along the way. Adults pay $8 and children can enter for free!

Michael Braude

Lots of parking $12 entry. Walk across falls and down the stairs. And back up again if you can. Otherwise take the cable car. It’s expensive though for a few minute ride up. One way it almost as expensive as a return ticket. There is zip lining too. Facilities on site and a small restaurant. Definitely worth the visit if you are in the area.

Alexandra Shalakhova

Great experience at the Montmorency Falls. We got a couple deal for around $45 which included parking and a lift up for two, and I honestly think it was worth it! It was an enjoyable walk once you get there with a restaurant and restrooms on top. The little art pieces/ statues which were centered around the White Widow story I found very cute and romantic. I am glad we paid to go up as I saw a lot of people struggling to use the stairs to go up as we were walking down. The only annoyance was having to wait for some time for a cart, but I think it was due to a practical/poor design- they only have two gondolas, one on its own separate lane. They could have added more gondolas which would go in a circle, but I guess it was done so that in case one breaks down you could still use the second gondola so that people could still get on top. Beautiful views! Lots of photo opportunities. You might get a bit wet at the bottom of the falls, but it's a part of the experience :)

Quintin Arnott

My significant other and I traveled to Quebec City from Ontario and came here to experience the falls. The pictures don't do justice and the view was breathtaking. Well worth the trip, if you come to Quebec City you must come here!

Michael Munro

Very beautiful on this day of bright sunshine. Lots of construction work at the outflow/base of the falls. Definitely worth a visit. 2 adults and parking - $20 CDN.

Honey Di

Really worth the walk to get to the other side of the falls. Amazing views and overlooking the river. Was so cold but wouldn't change the experience for anything else.

Shreya Pandit

Great view ???? and amazing experience. Zipline seemed fun and scary. Good nature's liver point with lots of space to get amazing pictures. Their food truck had great sandwiches and chicken wings. Worth at least one visit!

Zee

Very impressive place with great views. From the falls to the scenery and the green spaces. Perfect for a family picnic or just a walk. The bottom part is closed for now but it is still possible to descent 3/4 of the stairs.

Shaun

Stayed using Air b and b in the area of Boischatel , 8 min away by walk from the falls. The falls is beautiful and offers scenic views. Lots of things to from enjoying the views, taking the stairs to get up close views of the falls and enjoying nature . TIP- There is a IGA like 5 min walk away from falls, which is nice to find a great snack . Overall highly recommend to visit. If you are coming from far , consider to stay to in Boischatel area which is close also to Ile d'Orleans also.

Irfan Marzuki

Great views and a splendid place for stroll! Highly recommend to visit

Jasmine Jackman

Great place to spend a day with the family. Lots of nature paths to the top of the falls. Ample sitting areas and child playground. Return cable car ride to the top is available for an additional $17.00. Best time to come is during inclement weather if you want to avoid huge crowds. Great views , confectionery and washrooms on site. Be sure to bring a raincoat if you plan to walk up the stairs by the zip lining and rock climbing are also available.

Nimitt Pandya

Beautiful place to visit, just you might see the weather before visiting and be ready to walk all the down to enjoy the mist of falls...also there are activities like rock climbing and ziplining...

Lanegra Santiaguera

Beautiful place to visit I cannot believe that I leave in the province and I never had been there before is so impressive to see how God and Nature did that beautiful view. I will come back next summer.

Jeffery Tong

Cool looking falls. I liked how there was a suspension bridge that could be traversed and a stairway down the side that brought you closer to see the falls. It was too bad the zip line was closed when i was there.

Kateryna Naumchyk

Gorgeous falls and the view is stunning. Right outside from Quebec city, easy to reach and can be a very short stop if you are in a hurry)

Sam B.

WHOA!!! Didn't know there were waterfalls this massive in Quebec! It is a thing of beauty, when you first catch sight you will stop in awe... Couple things to know beforehand: wear ATHLETIC CLOTHES, and BRING LAYERS. If you want to walk down the observation points (they will give you the best pictures) you will most likely have to walk back up again, gondolas are rarely working. There is also a suspension bridge right above, the wind can be chilly up there. NOT GOOD if you have a fear of heights.

Sara Maj

Beautiful views but parts were closed off for construction. Price of $8 per adult not necessarily worth it for just suspension bridge, but may be worth it for one visit and hiking trails that we didn't have time to check out

Chris Runde

The falls are beautiful! I'd love to see them when it's warm out as well, but even in the cold they were not a disappointment!

Todd

15 minutes from the old city. Good place to spend a few hours

jonald gorospe

awesome, spectacular view, the trail going to the top was made even more enchanting by this season's change of colors

Richie Felipe

This place is totally awesome, specially to the worker guy in the cable that day! People in Quebec are so friendly they are so approachable and thats makes our trip more memorable! The falls and bridge with fresh air to breath. It’s good for relaxing and chill to! Hiking as well ????❤️ Better check it out!

Adel Alabousi

Great place to have a picnic or enjoy the view. There is lots of shade on top of the cliff under trees

Rick Leichter

Sturdy, slightly crowded bridge over some gorgeous falls. Once over the bridge, follow the signs over another small bridge to the observation deck for the absolute best views. Don't listen to that guy with bathroom issues. There are bathrooms everywhere including near the main building and near the observation deck. $4 for Quebec adult residents (province not city) and $8 for outsiders. Well worth it either way.

Laura Palazesi

Very cool! They need to have a spot to take a great picture of the whole thing! My best pic I took leaning down on the ground, between some trees through a fence.

Yanet Cruz

Falls are beautiful. Landscape is stunning. Be ready to line up for over an hour if planning to take the funicular in a busy day.

Greg Tarr

Entirely free to walk through during the off season.

Mohammed Badreldin

Have to cross the bridge over the falls.

Andrew Leong

Beautiful park not too far from Old Quebec. You can also take the bus there. It's very accessible. The views are totally worth it too. A stunning waterfall that you can walk across and also down some stairs all the way to the bottom. You can get up close and personal if you'd like. Plenty of parking spaces too.

Lars Richter

Nice for a few hours if you take the boardwalk. The views are good. There's also a big park where you may have s picnic. During the season they have some snack kiosks as well. You might also take the nature trail (about 3km there and back) which brings you to find rapids. Good for kids.

Parvez Fattah

A very high fall in a nice park. Able to walk down to the base of the fall, zip past the fall via zip line. Two parking lots to visit - the one at the to of the fall and another on Highway 138 that will allow you to walk to the fall without having to climb the stairs. Picturesque park with picnic benches and lots of tree shade.

Slimane Nait saidi

Very beautiful place to see and take pictures

Nigel Peters

The experience is exhilarating and satisfying!!! The setup is great if you want to get up and close to the falls. They have made a bridge on top of the falls from where you can view it or from the front. There is a walk way from the road and also a road which goes up - then you can descend the 300 odd steps right down to the falls. If you use the road to get there it has a entry fee which is nominal. The sound of the water and the force needs to be heard with your own ears. The view though is outstanding and really jaw dropping. To the front is the falls and to your left is the river with a bridge across. We also saw people rock climbing near the falls - not for me though. This waterfall though is pretty narrow if you compare it to Niagra. We should not be comparing them as each one has its own charm

Karen Dolan

A beautiful waterfall just outside of old Quebec City. A nice hike up the steps to the top of the falls and then walk directly over them! Of course by then you are thirsty so you can take a small path to a main road above the falls and cross the road to a McDonald's for a little rest stop. Hey, we could have parked up here and walked the top of the falls without all those stairs!

Phuong Dang

Impressive waterfall comes with impressive fees. They charge fees for the car itself, charge fees per individual, charge fees for the cable car. Other than the fees, they provide nice facilities to access the fall and other necessities. There is a hidden entrance that I see some people use to bypass the fees though.

Mehrul Rajib

Natural beauty at his best. Beside site seeing It's good for hiking or cycling. Best part is, its not far from quebec city

Frank Pasut

Perfect little stop along the way, the views are nice, the walk is pleasant especially along the boardwalk and in the wooded area. They also have the zip lining across the falls if you are up for it

Mayur Kumbhani

The whole area brings you back in historic parts of Quebec. I was very surprised to see how well it was maintained. Would definitely recommend it!

B.A.E - Before Anything Else

A very gorgeous place to visit and to see the majestic falls of Quebec. Start your journey below the falls, then use the stairs to go up to the bridge. You can also use the cable car to see a different view. However, walking and climbing the stairs is more exciting and helps you burn excess fat. ????

Steph H.

I thought it might be a bit underwhelming but we had a great time! We didn't want to pay for the cable car or the zipline, but we parked at the bottom (~12 dollars) and we climbed the stairs to get to the top. There's a restaurant at the top we didn't go to, but the view was worth the climb (and it's quite a climb). Got some really great pictures and the place was worth the parking cost.

Syed Qadri

Nice place with a splendid waterfall and some trials for walking. Walk down ramp in front of the falls is good fun. Cable car at 14 dollars unlimited rides per person is good value. Some construction going on presently which should improve things. Overall a nice experience.

Tazmir Nahar

Beautiful. However I wish they had decorated the bottom of the fall.

Tusoba67

Great place to spend time with friends or family. Huge lawns and wild life.

Simon D

Spectacular park. A few activités are offered, such as rock climbing and zip line. Entrance is free, but parking is not cheap. Too bad there is a highway between the falls and the St-Lawrence River.

Sam M

Beautiful place, usually crowded during summer weekends.

Yogeendra Urs

The Falls is amazing. It was really a very good experience to walk on the bridge. You need to spend good quality time in order experience the whole area. It is not only crossing the bridge but the real fun will be when we go down and climb up the steps. At this point the complete view of the Falls is visible. For the people who love taking photos, this is a great spot.

Gabriela Lopez

Beautiful waterfall , there are a 480 steps stairs to get down but the view down there it's amazing. No photoshop in my pics , that rainbow was real and looked extraordinary .

Saajid Sookram

You can feel the mist if you take the closer staircase. The climb up the stairs was long but worth it for the views. The bridge across the top sways slightly in the breeze. There are picnic areas and playgrounds all around for families.

Muhammad Bashir

Very nice and beautiful fall. Cable car is also excellent. Overall its a great place for spending some family time.

Shawnna Lazo

We found this by chance and this was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Canada!! Beautiful beautiful water fall and worth the visit. Make sure you go to the bottom and do the top of the falls. We spent about 2 hours here. I had kids from 6 to 13. We all loved this!! Watch out for the poison ivy!!! We did not do the stairways up from the bottom, we paid to ride the car down. If you are here go to the basilica and then there are fall a little farther that we barely missed.

Brady Ollivier

Absolutely beautiful. Such a great hike around and up the falls. Can get many great shots from all angles. The park is clean and staff are nice. Definitely make time to see them if in Quebec. Note: -if it’s windy, be prepared to get a little wet -you can access the falls from on top or below. With plenty of ways to get up and down (lift, staircase, road) -for those daredevils, the park offers rock climbing around the falls to get close and personal. With opportunity to get some rare shots.

Dany Jay

Great place for a walk. Cable car ride is quick and safe. Lots of renovations and wooden boardwalks. Bathroom and picnic areas.

Moushumi Nath

Beautiful falls that you can view from multiple perspectives - over the bridge, from the bottom, right up close on the sides. Hear it thunder in all its glory!

Mihai Harabagiu

Amazing place. Beautiful view. Clean and very enjoyable. You can have a pleasant picnic but no bbq. Walking the stairs of the fall is a good exercise

Sarah Lauzon

Beautiful scenery. Be ready to walk, climb stairs and get wet!!

jenn hollett

Such a beautiful place! The trails were well maintained and marked. There are stairs with observations decks for different views of the falls, that lead to a small bridge that takes you to the much longer suspension bridge over the falls...incredible views! We actually drove to the other side of the park to take the trail to the suspension bridge. Well worth a visit!

Jismon Kurians

Absolutely stunning falls and you can actually get a 360 view if you are ready walk and hike plus take the cable car. The view from the suspended bridge is also amazing. The steps to climb down to the bottom of the falls is a little scary but good experience and you will nice views of the falls from different angles.

Bharani Kolla

Nice falls. The amount of water was not too much but good views. Scenic.

D hizzle

Try to park on the street instead of the lot. If you're on foot it's $8 a person vs. $68 for a car on their lot. The falls wasn't worth $68 in my opinion. Also, not only do you pay $68 for parking it's another $16 to take the funicular back up. Park was very nice and the grounds also.

Jyothi Budharaju

It's beautiful falls with the suspension bridge above. Views are amazing. It's s good trek up the stairs but enjoyed it.
