This is 3.5 stars for me. The place is relatively small and the facilities are a bit low tech compared to other aquariums that I have been to. It is still a nice place though to see numerous aquatic species. My favorite part is the jelly fish room (felt like a meditation room). This is still a great place to visit but they should lower the fee a bit to make it reasonable for the visitors. I felt like ut should be within $12 to $13 only.

Terrible place! Small enclosures for the size and amount of animals! Walruses are stressed out and banging on the window! The jelly fishes are tangled because of how many there are in a small place, fish tanks are dirty, the arctic foxes enclosure is barren and the seals barely have any room to swim! they have a beautiful blue macaw in a small cage that can not fly. Terrible! Do not visit! Worst experience ever!

The facility is dated and not up to an international standard. Much of love and investment are needed to make this aquarium facility shine. Of course, kids will appreciate the visit and I enjoyed it myself, but after visiting other aquarium facilities around the world, such as Vienna or Sydney, made me frown upon this one. For instance, I prefer Biodome's aquarium section in Montreal : better curation and interactivity.

Very nice place to go with your kids. Some attractions are seasonal as the polar bear (just in the winter), but anyway it’s a good place to go. My favorite was the jellyfish section that you can see on the pictures. We saw a very big sea lion! You can walk through a small fish tunnel. There are many restrooms and if you are hungry you can buy some snack. Have fun!

The aquarium was super cool, really liked the jelly fish displays. Overall it was a good display of the fish and features lots from the Saint Lawrence River. Some of the stuff seemed a bit dated, but if you have kids this is a great experience. The outdoor play area is amazing, great play structures and the garden is amazing. Had a lot of fun. Only issue is the biggest building has a LOT of stairs and as someone who is disabled it's hard to do that many stairs. I wish there was a way to accommodate this minor issue.

Really great, especially for young kids, but interesting for adults as well. While Quebec city is great for adults, a lot of the most interesting sites are not really exciting for children, and it's difficult to get a stroller around. The aquarium, however was great for kids: there were shows, places to touch some animals, and lots of places to get up close to smaller and larger sea creatures. Plus it was easy to get around with a stroller.

We visited on a rainy day and they warned us that the park is 40% outside. Despite the drizzle it was an enjoyable experience. The value was good for a family of five. Active areas are available outside for children to blow off steam. Parking was free which was a really nice surprise. The animals appeared active and healthy.

Amazing place for the family. The place is clean but make sure you don't eat there it cost a fortune 30$ for croissant wither lettuce and cheer and two salads and any drink from the fridge + a soup. Asides from that I would go back a 3rd time.

After reading some of the negative reviews I had my thoughts but was I wrong. It was awesome. My 2 year old loved to see all the fishes, polar bears and all other animals and creatures that they have. We went on one of the hottest day of the year (32 + humidity) and the polar bears were enjoying there swim in the enclosure. My son loves the little splash pad they have spend 1 1/2 hour in that area. The food was decent priced. Overall our experience was awsome. Would go back and recommended it.

An amazing place to visit mostly with children. I went to the Aquarium many times as a child and as an adult and I still love to go. There is many nice animals to see and shows. The one I prefer is the walrus show, if I'm right, Boris! Also there is a jellyfish wall! That awesome!! I'm still amazed with that place even if I'm not a child anymore!! It is a most go place!!

Do not go! I'll try to share the terrible experience I had. 1st of all: they advertise the polar bear exibition but they aren't there and won't be for the next year. 2nd. They don't tell you there are no polar beara, you just find out when you go and visit them. Few staff can effectively communicate in English. 3rd all the facilities tend to be old and lack care. I wonder how well they are treating the animals 4th during feeding exhibitions, they talk about 5 minutes in french and then say a couple sentences in English stating it's a bilingual show. 5 and last only because I'm too tired of writing about them, If you still want to go, grab some $5 discount coupons from a tourist booklet that can be found on la Maison Cafe or tourist info.

More people than you think. Reservation did not change anything???? And most of the people only wear mask when they see the worker in the aquarium, and when they don't see it, they remove it OMG. Prepare your self to wait 1 and half hours minimum to get inside the showroom ;) Good luck if you want to spend your day there!

Place was mobbed with children that I was constantly almost stepping on literally, and like water they would flood and fill in all spaces. They were cute though and hilarious as well. The tunnel under the tank was difficult to see as you had to constantly wipe the glass from the temperature variations. The cleaning of the tank show was fun, seeing the divers drop in and talk through full face masks in Québécois and in English. Wash you hands before and after the hands on marine exhibits! Come to think of it there are children everywhere touching things. Little stingrays that you were allowed to touch with 2 fingers as the swam by. There's a sweet spot to stand where they pop out and jump up and down and even headbutt your hand is by the counter where staff hang out... I assume its where they feed them ;-) Tide pools that were cold! Huge sea anemones, starfish. I was impressed with the stoutness and textures of these creatures. The outdoor exhibits felt sparse for the animals and strongly smelled of animal pee, I felt bad for the animals, but they didn't seem to care. They are beautiful to behold swimming around and pacing or hiding from the heat. Wow can I say we almost missed the Jellyfish exhibit? They were playing Icelandic alternative music and had colors cycling while the jellyfish swam in a dark environment. It was beautiful and greatly impressed me. Don't miss out on it! Owls that were facinating, sand castle exhibits that I found interesting, a small water park, more like setting and spraying park for kids, (but my adult self and accompanying lady made it a point to run through a few times as it was 94° Fahrenheit when we visited). They have a snack bar, popcorn candy soda's, the usual fare. I think sandwiches, but nothing that grabbed you and sparse to none on the vegetarian options. If you are patient and can relax in the surge and swells of chaos with large groups of children in the summer during camp field trips the exhibits are filled with exotic and interesting creatures. I'd go again even knowing there might be a gaggle of children running loose, and I mean 8+ school bus worth of them. Oh there are stands next to tanks built in so littles can peek into exhibits as well.

Great experience the kids love the place. The animals are active and the place is well maintained. My kids are big fans of the jellyfish which there are a ton there, the playground and the small water park are very nice too. Only thing is the largest building is crowded with a massive line which takes literally forever to get through I left my wife and kids to play while I did it otherwise It would have been impossible to have the kids wait patiently. But overall a gear few hours experience if you're not stressed by time.

The polar bear exhibit was closed while we were there but otherwise it was a nice day spent at the aquarium. Great place to spend if it's a rainy day. Lots of hands on activities and a little park for kids. I loved their jellyfish exhibit, a really cool set up to it :)

This place is worth visiting if you are in Quebec. Please don’t compare it with Ripley’s Aquarium in Toronto as both offer different experience other than exhibits. Here, you also have a splash pad, play park and open air picnic spots. I saw some rare species of jelly fish and other fish. The tickets are cheaper if you buy for a family (family tickets include 2 adults and kids of the same family until 17 years) The entry time to the park has to be reserved online while booking the tickets. Don’t forget to buy your tickets at least 4 days in advance otherwise you won’t be able to get the tickets for your desired date.

Neat aquarium, took about 2 hours to see everything. It has more of a zoo-ish feel because they also have animals outside like seals, walrus, and some Arctic foxes. Don't miss the jellyfish and sting ray... everything is in separate buildings

The animals were amazing, but honestly the procedures in place for covid are not great. The line up to get in was fine, but once inside its like no one was following the arrows in place or standing far enough apart (we kept having people standing right behind us, or not wearing masks when inside the enclosed aquarium) and none of the staff said or did anything to tell them otherwise. It was just sort of frustrating constantly having to tell people to stand back when we are trying to enjoy the aquarium. I wouldn't have gone had I known none of the procedures were really being enforced.

The place is badly designed, the tanks in the aquarium exhibition have poor lighting inside, on top of the ceiling that blind you if you wear glasses and also throw reflections everywhere inclusive on the tank glass, making looking inside the tank more of an exercise of visual acuity rather than patience. Also they are raised from the floor for little kids to watch inside the tanks, with a narrow sidewalk that has some rocks on top of it making it impossible for someone in a wheelchair to approach the tank and look from close. Also the hallways are quite narrow for the human flow that circulates there. There is nothing really interesting to see at the 1st and 2nd floor of the fresh water and salt water exhibition tanks and there is no explanation of what you get at 3rd floor. What you get at the 3rd floor is the most exciting : a snake petting zoo and in a floor to ceiling cylindrical tank, well illuminated from inside : an octopus! This animal had me mesmerized : I spent a good 15 minutes in front of that tank and I was so absorbed by it's behavior that my family told me I completely ignored them even when they tapped me on the shoulder to let me know they were moving away. The animal in itself was not huge, I approximate mantle length at like 30 cm but the arms on the cylindrical surface of the tank and the shape distortion of the round glass surface made it look larger. I was so absorbed because it behaved intelligently, I put my hand in it's visual range and moved it slowly towards it and it came to investigate : was I a good food menu option or was it trying to communicate something? Anyway a lot more intriguing behavior than the distant fish. Also downstairs they have a petting zoo for rays and sharks, a really shallow 10m diameter pond where you have some 30cm rays and some 50 cm sharks to pet. The rays have no stingers. The mammalian exhibition has a pool where some grey seals swim 8n a relatively shallow pool, next to them are the walruses, and next to them 2 polar bears. The male is the more impressive animal to look at, and at 400kg and 18 years old is quite the specimen. In the wild, the polar bear, the largest land carnivore living on planet Earth, can reach 800kg in body mass and lives around 18-20 years. In captivity it can live at up to 25 to 30 years. The female was more mellow and was swimming nonchalantly in the pool like inviting the visitor to swim together. Their swimming pool has a deep portion with a glass wall where the visitors can see them swimming and meet them face to face. The same deep portion of the swimming pool with a wall glass was present in the walruses enclosure as well. Too bad that these 2 phenomenal displays are not accessible for disabled people, a flight of stairs is done to come down to look these magnificent polar mammals in the eye!

Awesome place to leave your kids in awe! Discovery, outdoor playground, diverse activities, great animations and passionate people (never have starfishs been described with such love!). And the yearly pass (daily pass is 20.50$ and yearly is 50$) is a true incentive for locals to just go there for an afternoon.

Decent aquarium, best part is the jellyfish display where the lighting colors change in the tank. The polar bear exhibit is being remodeled so didn't see that. Small aquarium compared to the Baltimore or Atlanta aquariums. But if you love to visit them, make the time while in Quebec.

I love this place! It's a shame that it was pouring rain the day that we went because 40% of the exhibit is outside. We stayed for 2 hours, but if the weather had been nicer, we would have stayed all day. The polar bears and the walruses were my favourite part of the aquarium. They also have a very nice jelly fish exhibit that will amaze you. Also, there is a pool full of sting rays and you get to touch them, which is pretty cool!

We had a wonderful experience bringing our son here. The layout is nicely planned out making it easy to see everything there is to offer. The jellyfish tanks stood out as the most exceptional sight and we ended up learning a lot about them as well. Some of the enclosures are way too small for the animals which was sad to see but if that doesn't bother you you'll enjoy coming here.

We enjoyed our visit to this Aquarium very much. There is plenty to see with lots of outdoor habitats for the larger animals. The polar bears were very active swimming around and rubbing up against the glass right next to us. We arrived early and managed to get a parking spot close to the entrance this also meant it was fairly quiet so it was easy to see the attractions. The facility itself is well taken care of and very modern and clean. I would highly recommend a visit to this aquarium!

Overall, it was a nice experince and COVID safe for all. Unfortunately due to COVID some shows and atractions were closed. I also think they took the time to renovate. In my opinion the water park does need an upgrade. Loved the medusa section. I would like to go back under different circumstances.

Such a nice place. The staff were very helpful and kept the group and I interested. The animals were very cool and bring about to touch many of them was even better. We also found the food stands quite convenient too get a quick bite. I personally liked the hurricane simulator to kill time at the end.

I was expecting the aquarium and the tunnel to be bigger than what it is, but still you get to see many different marine lives in one place. Beside that, you get to see so many interesting fish types. The only downside is maybe the lack of any information board for each fish type. There are only boards with each fish name and picture, nothing more. You can also touch some underwater creatures in a designated area, which can be fun for some people. In the outside, the male walruses were fighting (or wrestelling) the whole time, and the female one was just ignoring them. We didn't see much more outside, plus if you checkin at 14:30, you only have 1.5 hours before they close.

What an amazing aquarium this is! The outdoor space is beautiful and the animals are even better! The seals and walruses were very active and we enjoyed watching them swim and play. The exhibits indoors were excellently curated, with staff who are knowledgeable. The kids enjoyed the interactive tanks with the starfish, anemones and sting rays. A great museum altogether - can be done in under 2.5 hours.

We took a group of Girl Guides to the aquarium, and the staff was very helpful right from the start explaining where it would be best to go first and helping us with the map. Lots of things to see and do, the walrus show was great, and the fish tunnel was very interesting. The Children get to touch the stingrays. Very clean place, everything is well taken care of. Lots of indoor/outdoor activities. Great for all ages.

Nice variety of animals but the enclosures/aquariums are depressingly small. Bought a ticket to see walruses but was left feeling quite bad for them. Only exception would be the polarbear enclosure which seema to have been recently upgraded and looks very nice.

Great place to visit in Quebec city. With a little patience you will have fun for sure. It was a little less entertaining with the absence of the BBQ and ice-cream areas, however, it has some fantastic views and animals. Seems they have shows too but every where was empty due to Covid. We had fun. PS there is a splash pad here so you can bring some water kits.

Zoos are educational but sad at the same time. It was nice to see the animals moving around though and playing with their toys. The polar bears were the highlight. You can touch the sting-rays and make a donation to feed them a little fish. Surprisingly, they had a blue macaw too. They have a cafeteria on premises. The food was 7/10 and reasonably priced.

The aquarium here was fine. It was clean and easy to navigate. Unfortunately when we were there the polar bear exhibit was closed, which would have been amazing to see. It felt a bit on the smaller side compared to other aquariums I have been to as well. I enjoyed by time there, but I would not go back again. If you have about 3 hours to kill, it is worth the time to go. Just do not expect to be blown away. There are a ton of hands on exhibits for kids in the different buildings, so children would enjoy it much more than an adult.

I went here this past fall with my wife and kiddo. We had a great time, the exhibits we're very interesting, andathere was plenty to do to easily fill a half day of exploring. We went on a weekday and it was not crowded at all so we were able to really enjoy everything at our own pace. I also felt that the price was reasonable. The jellyfish exhibit was super fun.

Great experience with kids of ANY age. It is the perfect size for a 2 hour experience and so reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Note, I was not aware a portion of it was outside and not dressed appropriately. So if you are going in the dead of winter like I did, dress for outdoor exhibition.

We went on a rainy day, thinking it would be all indoors, so we didn’t get to enjoy all of the outdoor areas and shops as much as we would have on a sunny day. The cashier did let us know that 40% of the exhibits were outdoors, so I will give them credit for notifying the guests beforehand. All-in-all this is a solid activity for kids and the price is quite reasonable ($55 taxes in for two adults and a three year old). My wife was also very impressed with the private room they had for infant feeding - one of the best she’s used.

A really nice aquarium that has a nice mix of animals that all seem to be treated really well. The place offers nice indoor and outdoor areas and the polar bears are worth the visit alone. The main issues I had were that the restaurant was using plastic forks, hopefully this was just temporary due to Covid-19, I find these museums should be environmentally friendly as can be as they tend to show how animals should be treated with respect and care, which would extend to the environment as well. Secondly, the gift shop did not seem to support any local production. I find a big variance with museums, some really try to offer original, local items while others offer more generic stuff you can just by anywhere. Still overall we had an excellent time, just no souvenir to bring home.

Aquariums are FANTASTIC. I had never been to this one and I loved my time here. They have so much to see (sea *wink wink*), like polar bears, arctic foxes, owls, walruses, harbour seals, octopuses, starfish (which you can touch), stingrays (ditto), and fish obviously. They have one of those tunnels where the fish are all over the ceiling but it is really small! So keep in mind it's not a whole strip of overhead fish. They welcomed two baby walruses in May 2016 and it's so cute to see in person! It's gorgeous, charming, and well kept. The grounds are covered in beautiful and colorful flowers. They even have a viewpoint with a view of the bridge. It is a bit small but if you manage to visit before their busy season, you have the park to yourself! Half of the exhibits are outside and the rest inside. I suggest you start with the inside exhibits so that when the sun comes out during the afternoon, what you have left to see is outside. They do have a park section of the aquarium with playgrounds for kids and an Arbre en Arbre circuit. During the day, they have short shows/presentations which are cute (I only saw 5 minutes of one) ,they announce it on the Pa system, if you want to go just listen up and check your map. As for food, they have tons of snack stands (Beaver tails, ice cream) and two restaurants. You can also call and reserve some spots for the all you can eat sunday brunch. The gift store is located at the end of the park and it's tiny! Their merchandise is soso. I managed to get a cute keychain. I wanted to support the SÉPAQ (Society of outdoor recreation establishments of Quebec), so there was no way I was leaving empty handed. I really recommend this place! The parking is free, it's only 19$ (I think that's a good deal for what you're seeing), and you will see some gnarly stuff!

Very nice experience we've had. That day it was about 10 celcius but no matter what they were outside feeding the walruses and explaining the visitor lots of different things about walruses. Very interesting and a nice variety of fish and other sea animals.

It's a nice aquarium, but it's small. It'll take 2-3 hrs if that to see the place, that's if you watch some shows. They do have some BBQ place to eat, but I didn't get a chance to eat there. The day we went, it started raining

The aquarium was wonderful! So many interesting animals to see, both underwater and over. As parents of 2 kids below the age of 8, and coming from Ontario, we were looking forward to this visit. It so happened that it was a gloomy, rainy day in June that we went. The best thing to see was the jelly fish exhibit which is right beside the entrance. The walrus show was nice, but the entire explanation was done in French, most likely due to the large number of school kids there that day. The main exhibit which houses the tunnel was a little underwhelming as, unfortunately we have been to bigger tunnels at Ripley's aquarium and the Dubai aquarium in Atlantis. Due to the rainy day, we were unable to explore the outdoor water park and the kids adventure place, which both of our kids were looking forward to. So it seems that if you are thinking of coming here for a rainy day indoors, you will only get 50% of your moneys worth. Overall our experience could have been improved if it was not raining.

"Entry fee for two adults 43$". Try to go and book your time between 10-12 if you want the best chance to see the performances with the outdoor animal . If you take take your time it can last from about 1-3. Thé staff were incredible the way they treated and performed with the seals and walruses, it was really fun to see that everything was respected there by the staff. I'm very disappointed because their politique of refund is absolutely out the context. I bought the tickets for my kids (under 5yo), my wife and me; but one of my kids had symptoms of Covid (fever, coughing, etc) 3 days before to go. So we prefered to cancel, stay at home between we received the results of the test and my boy was getting better. For that reason I contacted customer service explaining all this. They gave me the opportunity to change the date, however the lapse between we received the results, organize the travel (we live in Montreal)and taking care of my kids was to close. When we was ready because my son was getting well, we contact the customer service again trying to change the day; but they refused and we lost the money! Just to let you know we bought the tickets for monday 12 july and we were asking to change for 16 july. No more than 1 week.

This is a nice aquarium. It has several buildings with a nice park experience to walk around. The exhibits are good and if you go slow and read everything and spend some time at each tank you can make a day of it. Having been to other city's aquariums this one does the over all experience well (great play ground, pretty our door walk ways, clean, and easy to navigate even with a stroller, really nice touch pools) but some of the exhibits are not as impressive as other locations (the tube where you walk through the tank is small other places have more fish and larger variety including more sharks/Ray's). I'm glad we went we had a nice day but I don't ever need to go back.

I actually would prefer to the Aquarium de Quebec 3.5 stars but since that option isn't available bump it up to 4 for friendly staff. Important to note is that it's an indoor and outdoor place, more like a Marine World type place than just an Aquarium. So dress warm in the winter! It's nicely laid out and has some cool stuff to see. We never like to see big animals in small enclosures so that was definitely not a plus. The building with the jellyfish and such was quite amazing and definitely our favourite. We didn't get to visit the children's play park because there was too much snow and it was too cold. Overall if you've never been to an aquarium it's worth a visit, but if you have you're not missing anything by missing this one.

Nice place, a lot of activities are outside so be prepared to bring a coat and gloves and umbrella in case of rain. The fish tanks were nice and it is a nice stop on your way out or in to Quebec city. It was nice to be able to interact with some of the marine life such as touch starfish and rays. Very nice aquarium with beautiful expositions and landscape. The aquarium itself isn't very big compared to others and there isn't a huge number of animals. Also the polar bear area had been under repair for a very long time without opening. Nevertheless it's a very fun experience, especially for kids. Loved our visit. It reminded me a lot of the aquarium in salt lake. They have arranged the marine life by continent. I especially loved seeing the larger fish. Sturgeon and piranha. The kids zone was a big hot as our kids could touch the anemones crabs and Ray's. That was fantastic. They also have a great outdoor playground with a splash pad.

Aquarium was nice to see, nothing mind-blowing but its excellent for families and just generally to walk around. Really nice place. Really good species collection and really well presented. The underwater tunel is amazing. Its both outside and inside and right by the river so if you go during the winter dress warm especially if you bring kids. Its also a sanctuary so you know the admission fee is for a good cause.

We went there with our daughter, but we went on a weekday with no schools in the low season, so we loved it. We were able to see all the fish without having to wait / wiggle our way through other kids. When a staff member was at a "touching" station like the star fish / rays, it felt like we had a personal trainer, they showed us neat stuff and explained things they sometimes don't have the time to do. We went to the seal show as well, which was entertaining, my daughter laughed a few times. We managed to see everything except the polar bear who's housing is being renovated. Took us about 1 hour and 15 mins. We were a little bit disappointed about the water tunnel, it's about 12 feet long, not that impressive, especially after seeing the one in Vegas that's much bigger. However, all the windows were clear and we could see the fish without an issue. Overall, nice experience, would definitely recommend to families, especially if you can go at a low season like us. I can't say how the experience must be when it's high season.

My family enjoyed our visit at the Aquarium of Quebec. They've got a quite large variety of large fishes. There's even a tunnel where you will see yourself surrounded by them. Surprisingly, they also had other animals (walrus, dolphins, wolf and owles). The best part was the jelly fish exhibit. It was breathtaking. The only shortfall is that the visit in the acquarium itself felt kind of short.

Very nice aquarium. There are seahorses, river and ocean fishes. My favourite were the jelly fishes. There is also an external area to see seals and owls. You can also touch some stingrays and starfishes, however this is not possible with the COVID measures. Fees are a little expensive ($21 per adult)

Pretty good aquarium experience. The jellyfish and seahorse exhibits were amazing and absolutely worth visiting. I didn't expect that some of the exhibits would be outside though (the weather was freezing during the winter). Their polar bear exhibit was under renovation at the time of our visit (December 2019), so we didn't get to see polar bears. Their bistro cafe food is also quite decent. You can get a sandwich with 2 salad sides or soup for 12$.

If you're visiting Quebec City, this is a great place to see for the whole family. The aquarium is seperated in multiple sections and circulating through them is a breeze. My personal favourite was the deep sea section. They have a specific section dedicated to jellyfish and the colors are AMAZING. Something straight out of a Disney movey.

This place is Super Wow! We visited in late November and shared the whole place with maybe 10 - 15 other families. Fewer show times than in summer but there were no line ups and we were able to spend as much time as we wanted with each exhibit. This is an indoor and outdoor facility so dress accordingly if visiting while it's cold outside. There are many coat hangers in the pavilion Staff were all friendly, welcoming and interested to talk about, and show us the animals. The children were very engaged. We made an effort to parle en francais and the interactions and experience where hugely rewarding. All signs are in French and English but I recommend that you take an opportunity to try speaking in French, even if it's not good and you're embarrassed, it is very much appreciated. Got to see many of the animals being fed. Had a serious chat with the owls. Beautiful toys in the gift shop. The children LOVED riding around in a cart, didn't have to pay to rent it, was useful to carry around all the children's winter gear. Would recommend, especially to families.

During Covid, they accept too many people, creating a 1h30 lineup in full sunlight with no shade for the main building tanks. Going through said building takes roughly 20 minutes. Flow was slow but steady and acceptable throughout up to that part.

We had a pleasant moment there, lots to see and very entertaining for kids. The sea horses, the jelly fish tanks, the ray and anemones pools where you can pet them, and Boris the walrus and the tunnel were the highlights of the visit. There are outdoors facilities for picnics and BBQs, a parc and water games, and the view over the 2 bridges is awesome. The place has a lot of facilities for families (tables, changing rooms, breastfeeding room) however the elevator is slow. Sad that we did not get to see the polar bears, as their enclosure was being refurbished. The place can get very crowded and load.

Didn't have the best experience ever as the place isn't meant to accommodate lots of visitors at the same time. They let you in in batches of 40-50 people and we all end up clogging the things to see inside..It's definitely a family oriented attraction but the price you pay isn't worth the experience: dirty glasses, sad personnel, small spots where the fish can swim, no shows...I don't know, it wasn't thrilling and it lacked the 'wow' effect...I'm not an expert in aquariums but I'm sure they can do better than that..there are also two polar bears in the outdoor cage which I don't really know how they fit with the theme of an acquarium..in a nutshell: 25$ down the drain. Won't go back.

A bit disappointing since there wasn’t that much to see. The jellyfish section was the best thing, because it was really beautiful. There is no information about the fish anywhere most of the time (a few exceptions here and there) and the app they make you download is not that great either and doesn’t add much. On top of it all, it was so jam packed with kids that you barely have space to move around. It doesn’t hold a candle to most decent aquariums. Even the aquariums in hotels in Vegas have more to explore.

The measures to protect visitors at the Aquarium du Quebec during the pandemic don’t go far enough and make the visit very unpleasant and uncomfortable for anyone trying to respect the social distancing guidelines. They are letting too many people book the same time slot and enter at the same time, creating long lineups outside in the hot sun at each pavilion. Once inside, even more lines with many families not keeping their distance from each other. Their verbal instructions are only in French which is fine for Francophone or bilingual families but some families were not following the rules claiming ignorance. I don’t recommend going this year, especially with the current uptick in cases.

Nice aquarium. I've seen much better, but the exhibits here are the best they can be. Beautiful outdoor areas with nice views and well maintained landscaping. Well done exhibits for local fish. The Polar Bear display is getting expanded, so they aren't there at the moment. The kids enjoyed the Ray touching tank and the jelly fish exhibit.

I went to the aquarium twice in 2 months. It was a magical experience the first time; the second time was, understandably, less impressive. On my first visit, I was lucky enough to arrive when the walrus show was scheduled to begin. However, on my second visit, I would have had to wait for a while in order to see the next show. I'm not sure if the times for the various shows are posted online, but it would have been helpful. My favourite parts are the jellyfish collection and the overhead aquarium.

The aquarium itself was nice, but somewhat small. The animals seemed content enough, though the seal and walrus exhibits looked a bit cramped and shallow, a bit like recreational pools, and some of the larger freshwater fish seemed to be rather crowded. The staff seemed nice enough, very knowledgeable and bilingual for the most part, which is great, with the exception of the food service staff we met (seemingly part-timers) who ignored us while we were trying to order and gave us a rather cold sandwich we asked for it to be toasted. A fun experience overall, but at the low end of aquariums I've visited before.

What an experience! The fish are so beautiful! I didn't have enough time to see all that I would have liked to see, however I am going back once the polar bears are back. The little manta rays were my absolute favourite popping out of the water smiling so you can pet them... so adorable. You can also pet starfish and anemones there. The starfish were hard on the top and soft underneath. I was not expecting that. Try touching the anemones they will give you a little surprise too ????. The underwater tunnel was shorter than I expected but still a wonderful site. The little guys that poke out of the sand were really cute too. Even the food was delicious. I thought I would step out of my comfort zone food wise and was pleasantly surprised. I would highly recommend a visit. Oh...I almost forgot!...We found Dory!!!! ????

I have been in many aquariums around the world and this one was really good but I expected more polar animals such as polar bear and others but there was not many . The garden outside was amazing with a lot of sand sculptures and colorful flowers, and nice pools for the seals. Some of the animals inside need more space and better way of displaying. Something was amazing and I really like is the teaching and the scientific purpose of every thing inside, a lot of helpful information and fun facts all around which they deserve appreciation for.

Defenetly recommend will take you atleast 2 hours to take a look without including shows outside where they fees the animals. Cheers!

This is a nice aquarium. It has indoor and outdoor things to see and do. Alot of walking so a stroller or wagon for small children is a good idea. We enjoyed our visit very much and would come back. It can get crowded on the weekends, but it's well organised and the flow of people moves well through the inside exhibits.

Lots of things to do! Kids loved being able to touch a sting ray, starfish, and coral. Tanks were in decent condition. Didnt feel there was as many animals as advertised. The underwater tunnel is very short. Overall good experience

Great experience! I liked the most Mors, seals and polar bears. We saw tricks done by seals and Mors. Kids enjoyed it a lot.

We showed up a at 2:45 which gave us enough time to pay for tickets and enjoy an hour of the aquarium. They closed at 4:00 but their website stated in their access and operating process that they didn't allow entries after 3:00. NOTHING mentioned we had to pre register. If they would have asked us to leave 10 minutes prior to 4:00, no problem. They turned us away and two children who were looking forward to the aquarium. We were driving from NB and wanted to break up our 15 hour drive home and explore the area. They wouldn't even work with us and told me I was wrong even though I showed them their website was was clearly wrong. If I could give them no stars I would.

Honestly disappointed. I absolutely understand COVID measures but it seems like everything was rushed and staff is unprepared. Additionally, the impossibility to use a stroller, without any prior mention, makes the experience painful and social distancing even more challenging. Furthermore, rather than having someone receive and store strollers for parents, we are left to simply dump our stroller in a general area with a massive sign mentioning that they're not responsible for theft... Could easily be improved by having someone store them for parents instead... Disappointing. Wouldn't recommend until they get their act together...

We visited during the Ontario March break and spent almost 5 hours enjoying all the exhibits. We spent over 1 hour with the stingrays and were amazed over and over again by all the amazing sights to see. Because it was Ontario March break there were no crowds or lines.

This is a very nice aquarium with mammals present as well (Seals, walrus, the polar bears were on leave at time of visit because their habitat is being expanded but they will be back). Pricing is pretty much par for this kind of place.

Usually enjoy going there. But under the new covid guidelines it is really not that enjoyable with two toddlers. The circuit you have to follow with the arrows on the ground (that you will be warned to respect) do not make sense. I guess the waiting lines will be our new reality from now on and I can live with that. Will be waiting for our normal lives to resume before going back there with the kids.

Very nice experience we've had. That day it was about 10 celcius but no matter what they were outside feeding the walruses and explaining the visitor lots of different things about walruses. Very interesting and a nice variety of fish and other sea animals.

After 30 years I returned tot he Aquarium. I was lucky, not too many people and a very nice day. A good place to bring kids 5 and up. Bring your lunch, food is expensive, I bought chip and drink, 8.50$ I went with the city bus, it would be nice if the Aquarium had a shuttle (golf cart) between the bus stop and aquarium. It's not far but with kids etc, I wouldn't want to do it.

I really liked visiting the Aquarium! Free parking and fairly quick ticket sale/ entrance (vs Toronto one). I found that going through inside exbihition was a bit uncomfortable- it was pretty tight on space, so I felt very rushed and missed some tanks because it was impossible to get to them (maybe it was a busy day, but I still found it a bit stressful and it definitely took away from my enjoyment). Maybe because it was crowded it got pretty hot in some places (or AC wasn't working). Overall good exhibitions, lots of space to walk through and lovely play parks! Probably my favorite for their seahorse exhibition.

Pretty disappointed with this aquarium. 1) they only let you in at the time of your tickets, which in theory makes sense, however, it created a huge line up and then once you were inside, it was crowded and no one kept 2 meter distance. They didn’t think it through to stager people. 2) it didn’t seem very clean, we saw multiple dead fish. 3) I’ve swam in pools bigger than what they keep the walruses in. It was so sad to see, they had no room to swim. 4) there was a polar bear which I have numerous issues with but seriously, why is a polar bear at an AQUARIUM? He was in such distress. I would give this place a 0 if I could, I left feeling sad for the way they treated these animals.

The Aquarium is very nice. It's very kid-friendly, but not boring for adults! The Tunnel, under the "Ocean" is just long enough, to be amazed, but not get claustrophobic. There are 2 areas, where one can touch, fish, seastars, crabs and small sharks. It is a bit on the pricey side, but I think it was well worth it!

Something for everyone, great space for kids to visit and play. Aside from the shows and aquarium, there is a playground and splash pad. Lots of running space and we'll thought for toddlers. Bring your own lunch, food there is pricey and lack of choice.

The staff are super knowledgeable in both English and in French. The layout of the exhibits should be a little more correlated with one another. The maps were placed with same signs. Would suggest using directional signs with the colour of each exhibit. But overall had an amazing time. Very informative.

Try to book your visit as early as possible. We came at 9 and already line up for admission. Park is not big but enough for a family to spend a day. Staff did great job to control the traffic. (They count people in and out) Mask up and enjoy:)

Fun place to visit with a wide variety of things to see. The kids really enjoyed the tunnel! Things to improve: 1. The information panels don't always include the native range of certain species. 2. The coffee is AWFUL! My son wanted to be sure that I mentioned the awesome octopuses! My other son loves the arctic foxes and my wife loves the nautilus(es?).

This was a five star experience. Great shows throughout the day. Lots of different displays and interactive areas. The jellyfish display was particularly awesome. We had no kids and spent 4 hours here. With kids this could easily be an entire day.

We liked it- especially Boris the Walrus the Jellyfish and all the fish in the large aquarium, as well. They are making a wonderful new Polar Bear habitat- twice the size as it was; however, I think Boris and his mate need a larger tank, too.

The kids decided they wanted to visit the Quebec Aquarium, which was absolutely delightful. It’s easy to spend hours here wandering through all the exhibits, and we didn’t even arrive in time to watch the shows. Still, there was plenty to do including multiple touch tanks and an outdoor playground.

Small aquarium with just a few animal attractions. Large tank with both fresh and salt water fishes show casing the fish from around the area. What I can add is that if you are looking to see the seals, walrus, and polar bear shows, plan to spend half a day there and come when it opens. Only one show a day. Also the shows seam to demonstrate the animals behaviour in the wild.

This place has a lot of variety to offer from aquatic to even polar bears.2 lovely big polar bears. A lot of different fish, sea horses, dolphins and the huge walrus. It's well spaced out and there are different areas you can visit. They have icecream and light snacks on-site. Parking at this location is free and is tucked away in one corner of the city. We paid 75 dollars for a family of 4 which is reasonable I thought.

Wow! This place is soo cool. There is an outdoor trails with seals and walrus etc..and 2 indoor pavilions housing fish, rays, jellyfish etc.. There us even a glass tunnel through an aquarium. Amazing! Kids loved it. They got to touch the Rays. There is food onsite so you won't go hungry. Totally recommended!

My kids had a wonderful time here. It was walking distance from our hotel and the prices were reasonable. The outdoor playcentre is a highlight, especially the ropes course that extends through an area with lots of shade. The views and the playground were worth the price of admission but we also enjoyed the aquariums and touching sting rays and the outdoor exhibits.

Even though we booked our time online and paid in advance, there were very long lines to see the attractions. There was a lack of parking spaces and there was no bear exhibit. We had to wait in the hot sun in line to see the exhibits. My kids got hot and restless after waiting 40 mins to see the main event, which was the indoor aquarium.

We didn't feel the fish were shown off to their best, most of the tanks looked gloomy and dare I say a little grubby. The Polar Bear exhibit which we especially wanted to see was unfortunately closed. The Walrus exhibit was very underwhelming, whilst the mammals themselves were indeed magnificent the pool/tank they were housed in was poor.

The best third world country aquarium........ However it is located in Quebec City. The first thing I noticed was cobwebs at the entrance of the primary exhibit. Three steps later I notice a cafeteria salad, with dressing, in a habitat intended for a turtle. Two habitats later a fish is stuck in a tube. Within 10 minutes of being there I blurted out, "This place is horrible", and it only got worse. The tanks are very dirty and the cleaning pumps are covered in algae. Was not sure if one of the polar bears was even alive, if it was, I am certain that it wishes it was dead instead of there. Many more negatives and no redeeming qualities. My girlfriend left in tears.

Great times with a family crowd as there is lots to be learned. Those that appreciate sea life will love their extensive displays of jellyfish species and an amazing treat was they have nautilus and leafy sea dragons. Loved petting the rays and was pleasantly surprised they’re extremely friendly! The underwater tunnel was smaller than I expected, though.

We came in July and found it to be a very, very busy place. Many people with kids and strollers. It was hard to get around on the inside and was quite small. The outdoor exhibits are good and it's a great place to take kids! We got through the whole thing in roughly 2 hours.

Worth visiting only once. A bit expensive. The only unique species we found that we could not find in any other Zoo/aquarium were Polar Bear, Sea Dragon, Arctic fox and Walrus. May be worth visiting only for Polar Bear.

Nice little family outing for the morning, good for 2-3 hours (depending on your food requirements). More of a zoo and less of an aquarium than I had anticipated, but very cool little outdoor adventures scattered throughout for the kids. Made for a good morning of hiking around! Wouldn't plan to make a full day of it, but worthwhile if you have the time.
