My experience can only relate to your brilliant choices. I feel like a #PrinceRupert wannabe. That is something for me to admit, being from gorgeous Porcupine Hills in AB. Thanks a lot;)

At first I really liked this trail because it was similar to the Grouse Grind minus the stairs...and then they went and ruined it by making the last 500m stairs! Overall, I enjoyed the trail. It was really fascinating to hear the trees swaying in the wind. This trail is not as maintained as the other trail across the highway BUT still fairly maintained - maybe it was the time of year I visited..

Great 3 miles/4.5 km with steady climb up and some sections are pretty steep. Trail is well maintained and you are rewarded by great view at the top. Be ready with the bugs - there were abundant of them at the top.

Lovely trail. Well maintained, easy to follow, and a great view at the end.

Beautiful, fun adventure. The road is pretty rutted in spots.

Lovely trail to the top where you have a good view of the surrounding. Muddy when you get higher up but it's PR, everything is wet so be prepared. Also because everything is wet, the forest is so green, from top to bottom. There are also mushrooms everywhere when we visited in September. Highly recommended.

Awesome humbling and majestic walk in old Wood's...

Great trail. I hiked it on the winter so it was covered in snow and ice so it was a bit more difficult. I would love to see it in the summer.

[Jan 15, 2018, ~4.5 hrs there & back including a rest + small meal at the peak] It isn't "Swiss Alps pretty", but the views were pretty decent. This was my girlfriend's first "real" hike to a mountain-top; sadly, we're both a little out of shape, but this trail was definitely still doable for both of us. We encountered a few areas that were super slippery, but [to be fair] the past week has been pretty rainy and wet (this was arguably the first clear day). These areas need more gravel or material to hold the ground together, because the trail becomes steep mush in these [short] stretches. An early [morning] start, a walking stick (incredibly helpful for overcoming unruly areas), and a healthy fresh snack with plenty of hydrating drinks are key to maximizing this hiking experience; good company can definitely add to the experience. :) NOTE: We didn't get the opportunity to slay Mount Hays because we ran out of time, but from what I could tell, the path seemed somewhat [relatively] unclear.

Great little hike, and I really appreciate all the trail improvements lately.

Overall very enjoyable but really wet and muddy - I almost left my shoes in the mud here. The view at the top was really nice

Beauty hike. lots of snow right now 3km and up, but made the views extra rewarding, props to the trail crews

They were wonderful people to deal with. The hotel was very clean, quiet. They let me bring my 82 pound fur baby. (Which was 2 pounds over the limit, by the way.) And it was located close to most all amenities. I will be back when i get out that way again. Thanks
