Love Willington Beach. It has a water park and several other great features for the kiddies. An ice cream shack with 20 different flavors and the best fish n chips in the area. The park is beautiful, well maintained with lots of shady picnic spots. For the bigger kiddies there are two volley ball nets on super soft sand and the water for swimming is gorgeous and wonderfully sandy. Along the breakwater there is a dock at the end for jumping in for a swim ????♂️???? It has everything you need for a day at the beach. Also there is rv parking and camping right next door and some fabulous hiking trails. What more could you ask for. Walking distance from local shopping and lots of great shops. I could go on and on but you're just going to have to check it out for yourself. Have a fantastic day ????????
It's a beautiful park. Come for the sunset and stay for the fun atmosphere! Powell River is a beautiful gem on the sunshine coast!
That's so good and beautiful views.
Nice clean park, beautiful scenery, good food and washrooms right there.
Nice park for the kids to play at, right on the beach.
As a local, I know that WB Park has been a haven for all of our successful community events i.e.; Sea Fair, Logger Sports, Cycling Tours, Easter Egg Hunts, to name just a few. Now that Covid 19 has suppressed all of these events from happening, this park continues to serve the community by remaining open for our local children and their families while the campsite also remains open for the people who wish or who need to reside there. The walking trails are also available and are always a nice small scenic adventure to see. The work -out equipment still remains as a beautiful, outdoor, and free gymnasium as well. During this confusing and yet daunting turmoil, it's nice to know that there is still an outdoor family recreational alternative for individual activities and for our local families. "Thank you!"
Beautiful little beach, nice green spaces with tables and a splash park, kids park, washrooms, and little restraunt
Fantastic ocean front camping! Don't forget your paddleboard...
One of the nicest forest walks with lovely beach views that we have taken on the west coast. The trail is wide and flat terrain making it suitable for easy walking and cycling. Along the trail there are wonderful large pieces of antique lumber equipment and signage explaining their use but the best part of the walk for me were the bent trees. At various points along the path are twisted trees that continue to grow at strange right angles that we found fascinating.
Location, location,on the beach, walk to shopping,on a beautiful parktrail with historical displays of lumber activities.clean wash rooms, laundry, VERY friendly helpful service, good Wifi @ $2.00 day per device.we watched loons, seals, humpback whales, eagles, from our camper in September. View Rec and commercial traffic, ferries.Beach sites available
The new playground is great fun for big children and small children. The setting couldn't be any more beautiful. From playground equipment that is for toddlers or 10 years olds too exercise equipment for even more adults this park has it all.!! I have played there many times.
Love the trail ... easy walk, shady interresting equipment and antique logging stuff. Lots of little markers and things to see. Great sandy beach on mill side.
Awesome place to camp.
Nice, long, shallow beach with some great stretches of sand (the rest is rocky). Great playground and splash pad, and some delightful spots for picnics.
Pretty spot. Swimming area spray park Nd beach volleyball courts. Something for everyone
Willingdon Beach park is the nicest park in the area, with amenities and a playground for small children. A lovely sunset is guaranteed on a sunny day, and the cool breeze off the Malahat is refreshing to the mind and body. The walk out onto the water was also quite peaceful.
I absolutely love this spot. Beautiful beach with playground, and waterpark.
Fantastic view, volley ball net, lots of space, they have a dock with a fishing hole! They also have a cafe type place
It's right on the ocean, great food, ice cream across the street, exercise equipment, public bathrooms, water park, logger sports & lots of entertainment on the open stage.
Great dock access with some decent fishing. The playgrounds are large and relatively uncrowded. There is also an outdoor gym of sorts which is nice for a quick bit of cardio.
So glad this space has been preserved. Great trails. The walk along the creek is gorgeous. Also a nice way to get from cranberry to westview to townsite. Perfect for dog walks
Nice oceanfront park with many ameneties
It's super nice and fun for a regular family. My 5 year old and I had a great time. The only problem is I also have an 8 year old in a wheelchair, there's no possible way I could get her down to the beach. There's also no special needs swings on the playground. It's a blast for a "normal " family, but if you have or family member in a wheelchair I wouldn't recommend it.
Very scenic. Family friendly
Everyone is so friendly, the beach is gorgeous, and the wildlife is abundant! Great place for vacation, photography or just enjoying beautiful BC this is a great place to add to the visit list!
Always a stopover when we visit. The logging museum, mini golf and the kids waterpark and newly renovated playground are popular with locals and tourists alike. The Rotarians put up an awesome stage, and when the lumberjack competitions are on it's spectacular to watch with a good amphitheatre with plenty of seating. Don't forget to take the walk through the forest, away from the town and see the cool displays of historic and unique lumber industry antiques.
Clean and well maintained park by the ocean in Powell River. Bathrooms were decent, playground equipment is in good shape. The covered patio area is perfect for community events. I saw an evening of square dancing there.
The view is stunning especially at night , you can see Vancouver island and the grass is nice. there is exercise equipment there and a cute little water park for the young ones. They hold sweet events there and have a very nice stage
Most of summer event are at this park there is a little water park the beach hut for food often local food playground and campground with popeye statues right next it make a great place to get right in the action
No matter the weather it's conducive to relaxing and being close to nature.
Accessable walk ways. Beach. Playground. Washroom. Great spot to spend some time
Beautiful park, easy enough to find parking and a small walk to the beach. Good amenities and a small spray park with fresh water to rinse off in after a swim in the ocean.
Good camp site! Site is well maintained and clean. I recommend this place.
Lovely water views. Beautiful trail walk. Great ???? friendly play grounds.
Nice Beach and access to trails too!
Kids love going down to the beach. Whether it's to play on the toys, play in the sand or put our feet in the water. Great place to cool down on a hot summer day. There's shady area's under the big trees or go for a walk down the trail. And of course you can't go to the beach without getting an ice cream.
So far seems awesome! My first time here. Gorgeous sunset and the farmers market just started today!
Amazing little spot they even have water front camping
A great public place with spaces to picnic, play and wander. My daughters both loved the playground and I personally loved the small path to the dock. It is a gorgeous place to enjoy with friends and family.
A nice grassed camping area suitable for cyclists. However the site rate does not reflect that cyclists and hikers do not need or use vehicle parking space.
The beach is beautiful here, there's washroom facilities, a campground, mini golf, ice cream and food nearby.
A great place to relax with the kids at the beach or play in the splash park.
Great trail along the water! Very easy and accessible. Flat the entire way.
Its a great family place. With beach, volleyball nets, walking trails, campground, playground, washrooms. And a great little beach hut with food and ice cream.
Great beach and water park, some shade and toys for kids.
Always enjoy a stroll at Willingdon Beach. Beautiful scenery, very peaceful, you hear and see lots of wildlife and of course its and outdoor museum.
Stunning scenery Beautiful walking trails and lots of great BC history ????
A lovely beach and a wonderful place for kids. Lots of things to do, including trails, a playground, mini water park, and camping area.
Willingdon Beach Park is beautiful it over looks the water has lush green grass, a small amount of sand...very family oriented...there is also camping there...driving to it are beautiful tall trees that line both sides of the road...very scenic
I have loved this beach since I was a child. It's timeless and a great place to bring kids.
Beautiful campground. Very clean and felt safe and secure. The beachfront site was worth the extra fee. Site 51 on the very end was the most private and had its own beach access. Amazing sunsets and lovely trails and beach to stroll. Would also recommend checking out the mini golf across the street, we had a great time.
Its easy access to the beach with a good playground but many better spots in the area
Beautiful dinner with my beautiful daughter and her family.
Very nice beach! Nice playground and splash park too!
Great beach right in town. Playground, water park, dock, outdoor workout machines, and of course the beach. Great place for sunsets or for swimming over sand.
Great place for a family outing. Water park, playground, ice cream stand and volleyball courts along with the beach of course.
It's the nicest campsite I've been to. The showers on the upper level are better than the lower
Fantastic sunsets! Grew up here, REALLY miss it. Hard to get a site. Should have pre- booked months ago!!!!
Really nice park with amazing views, camped closest spot to the water and loved it! Fun pier there you can walk out on and stick feet in ocean! Nice bathrooms with showers!
Convenient location just minutes from the ferry and town. Access to decent beach and trails. Showers($1 for four minutes of good pressure), flush toilets, laundry. Many sites are not private. Some sites right by the water, some right by the road(hidden mostly by trees and plants). Spaced old and new growth trees throughout the property.
Perfect family place. Walk the trail. Picnic. Play in the waterpark. Get icecream at the mini golf.
A lovely park in the middle of town. A great playground and Waterpark for children. A campground nearby.
Beautiful with nice trail outdoor gym playgrounds water park and restaurant I just prefer swimming with more privacy
Excelent for a meditative walk triugh the trail or for having fun with kids at the park.. For swiming in summer is great
Nice near the water. The water park and children's play area looks like fun for families.
Very nice park for everyone. Lots of toys for the kids and great location with beach access and trails for walking on. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to go camping but still be located in town for all town access and fun! Its also accessible for anyone in a wheelchair, although a powered chair might be the best but still accessible!
Tall trees, green grass, ocean breeze, water park and playground, close to two museums a miniature golf course and great fish 'n chips.
This park offers it all. Except the splash park is dated and needs redoing.
Very pretty park with lots of events going on. Beautiful beach, and long, flat hiking trail in the woods, with interesting historial exhibits along the walk.
Our favorite camping and staying spot in Powell River. Walk to town. On the beach. Clean. Easy to park. Nice sites. Time to upgrade the tired ablutions facilities...
Really nice city park! Clean lots of things to do, Popeye statues, beach volleyball a pier you can fish off of, walking trails, camping. It's a great place if you want to be outdoors but aren't feeling rugged
My boyfriend and I could not have been happier with our visit. As avid backpackers and travellers we have stayed at lots of campgrounds over the years both in Canada and internationally, but this one must have been one of the finest we've ever been to. Gorgeous location right at the beach, extremely clean facilities (I couldn't believe washrooms looked as sparkling clean in the evening as they did in the morning!), bear caches, laundry room..Our campsite was well maintained and a short walk to the beach as well as an amazing family-friendly interpretive trail (Willingdon Beach Park Trail) with some very interesting natural and historical points of interests. Lady at the reception was sweet and very helpful. A very special thanks to the campground supervisor Mike who brought us here after spotting us stranded on a rock after our canoe sunk during our multi-day canoeing trip on Powell River Forest Canoe Circuit. He and his family went out of their way to rescue us to safety and then arranging this place so that we could rest and recover. Their kindness and willingness to help are a true testiment of the goodness of people of Powell River. We are honored and very grateful to have met this man and stayed at his campground. Strongly recommended and we will definitely be returning (likely not the canoe part though :D)!
So beautiful. I love the walk along the lower trail with the historic logging equipment
A sunny but chilly and windy early November Sunday. Sat on a lot drinking take-out coffee and watching the world go by. Families at picnic tables, kids in the playground, couples cycling and a group of women having their daily swim. A very pleasant, relaxed moment. Washrooms open, not fancy but clean.
Wonderful place to bring kids to have fun at a place with a great view. The place is very spacious and even has a small water park area.
A very nice park. The park is situated next to a camp sight of the same name. A forrestry muséum is also on the sight. You had a fishing pier at the park as well as a water park. Also a sheltered area that you could paddle board. Also boards could be rented by the hour. Kids and parents had fun.
One of a kind experience anywhere in powell river willingdon Beach is one of many
We had already spent the day at another beach in the area but wanted to take in the sunset at Willingdon Beach Park. We were not disappointed. There were some benches to just rest at and drink in the vibrant colours. This park is perfect for everyone- there’s a playground- plenty of grass area…loads of beach access. Simply lovely!
Nice little spot to chill while waiting 3 hours for a ferry back to the Island
Very nice, clean affordable. Ocean views
Nice beach with good views of the Georgia Straight, as well as Texada, Harwood and Vancouver Island.
Powell River biggest Waterfront Park. water area for the kids,Kiwanis Pavilion for bands and shows great place to spend an afternoon
Great Park. RV and campsite. Lots to do and see. Many seasonal event's.
Beautiful place to relax for the whole family
Great trail leading off the park, loved the adult outdoor exercise equipment and my son loved the playground. A little bit of everything so there is something for everyone!
Easy access to the beach, a variety of fully serviced lots, laundry, showers, warf, a gathering area, fire pits and wood available, it has a keyed gate and is a clean park.
Excellent campground. Very well maintained. Views are spectacular and the location is brilliant. It feels quite remote listening to the waves crash on the beach all night...but in a very short walk you can find yourself in the hub of the city
Look at that photo...what's not to love!?
Great place ... great views
Great beach, large, lots of space, camping, lots of parking and close to amenities. We love the sunsets here and the great views. Lots of trails to hike in the area, and lots for the family to do here.
Great views, next to campgrounds, trails, beaches, and down the road from mutiple shops along Marine
The food is authentic and tastes great, but more fresh vegetables would be nice.
Beautiful park and a great place for kids to play.
Despite abiding by the rules for Vancouver Coastal Health Authority travel, we were denied a spot at this campsite. They rudely told us they didn't care about the health authority rules, they were private and could make their own rules and discriminate against anyone they wanted!
Wonderful family park with public washrooms, vendor food services, updated park for the kidletts and beach with a dock to walk on. Short trail heads over to townsite where you can enjoy more restaurants coffee shops and brewery.
Great quiet sandy beach and close to town
It's okay, the washrooms on the other hand aren't amazing but they do their job.
Clean, fun and the trail was worth the stroll!
Nice downtown beach with walking trail but WRONG time of year( January= f----g cold, damp by the water matie!!!
Lovely well catered to Kids & Adult park on sea edge of Powell River.
Awesome a must visit. Icecream on both sides of the roadway and beach and forest walks to boot.
Amazing park. Kept clean and great variety of activities. Peaceful. Energetic.
Although I am not used to camping so close to other campers, being on the beach and having gorgeous trails to walk and an ocean sunset to enjoy makes it so worth while!!
Water park, outdoor exercise within a minutes walk. If your kids play Pokémon Go two gyms and lots of stops near the campground and on the trail.
Nice campsite right in town, on the beach, and beside a beautiful park. Nice trail along the water. The bathrooms and showers were kept clean. Overall, a nice place to stay. Only downfall...I wish the caretakers used an electric cart rather than a noisey gas one for when they do their rounds and garbage collection after 10pm. It would also be nice if he didnt empty the cans and bottles on the ground especially when the handouts and flyers in the campsite say there are bears in the area.
Fantastic! My family spent the entire day here and loved the playground, beach, dock and pathway. Lots to do and see. Perfect for kids!
My daughter and I love this park. The views are incredible. We come here year round :)
Nice place for families, definitely see this is a busy place.
Easy access to beach and playground. Across the street from museum. Currently there is a canoe building project on the beach as part of honoring First Nation people.
Not for me. Was so loud.
A most excellent park and trail
Nice beach and facilities ..!! Kids love the games..!!
Almost $13 for a poutine. I was surprised with the size as well the amount of cheese was minimal and my gravy was runny so what cheese was on there did not get a chance to melt. All other experiences prior to this one were much better.
Beautiful sandy beach. The water is clear and the sand is white and clean. Great for kids all ages and grown ups.
Beautiful place. new Play equipment in 2020
Its one of my favourite places to take my kids. It offers so much!☺
Extremely nice park with exercise equipment close to the trailer park. A small pier to fish off or swim. Public washrooms. Picnic tables etc.
Grew. Up in powell my family has camped there for years. Its clean has lots to offer . Fire wood is to expensive?? Alland all it's a nice place.
2 playground areas. Younger and older kids. Splash pad. Canteen. Sandy beach.
I will go back again. Washrooms are well maintained. Area is well laid out. Great for family camping and picnic. Bonus is the big playground and open air gym.
Beachside places are beautiful!! Friendly staff. Old buildings but very clean!
Fun and Family Friendly Place Enjoy Real Ice Cream and the Best Hand Battered Fish and Chips in Town at The Beach Hut.
Lovely historical stroll. Plenty of little information signs, dogs have to be leashed.
Great place for a day outdoors.camping fishing swimming a picnicking area and mini donut truck.
Beautiful place to stop and take pictures
Clean but lacks some amenities
Amazing beach, quick walk to downtown Powell river, lots of grass for lounging, a pretty nice swim area, and lots of playground space for kids
Beautiful beach area. Great for families and close to town.
we really enjoyed to location.Biking walking kayaking swimming the veiw was lovely well kept quiet. Great stay.????
Such a lovely little park and beach! There is a volleyball court, 2 playgrounds, a waterpark, a dock to jump into the water from and so many trees for those who need a break from the sun! There is also a sweet little cafe/fish and chip place! All these things make this park a wonderful must see. You don't quite get to see as much of the water as you may like but all the amenities make up for it!
Beautiful location but all the stuff for the kids to play on seemed old and run down.
Real nice walk or run the the forest with interpretive history throughout. Next to the ocean. Awesome walk!!
We had the pleasure of staying three-four times this year. Every visit was great. This is a very well run facility and you will notice the care that is given to keep everything running and looking good. I would highly recommend staying here.
Great park on the waterfront. A good balance of beach and grass. Lots of activities Available including a water park for the kids. The facilities could use a mid afternoon cleaning.
Love this park....lots to offer water park in the summer. Food concession seasonally. Trails to hike that aren't difficult.
Great park! Close to the beach and restaurants
The historical trail was great...shower facilitys or great and laundry...nice its walking distance to town...tracey was great and accomadating
A nice place to spend an afternoon with the family. Lots of places for kids to play, lots of shade, and of course the beach. Highly recommend walking the trail at the north end of the park, it's well shaded and informative as well as just generally picturesque.
Amazing and beautiful. Decent walk. A little bumpy terrain for a stroller but its doable.
A beautiful park in the middle of town. Camping spots, trees, ocean, lovely walking trail and playground for kids.
This area is awesome. All the ocean and scenery with a laid back attitude, not like the craziness around the Vancouver area.
Nice place to wander through either a great beach in summer.
Beautiful park and playground for kids and adults right on the beach. Watch the ferries arrive and depart and the sun set. Go camping at the municipal run campground. Enjoy a burger and ice cream at the nearby take out shack. Or go for a walk or run through the Willingdon Beach Trail.
Great place for the dog to enjoy the ocean!!
Even though there is a sign tjat says there are no dogs allowed during certain times of the year, people still bring their dogs without leashes. My daughter is scared of dogs and no matter where you go people don't use leashes in our parks. Other than that great public events happen here. Enjoy the diversity of this place.
Great park! Across the street from mini golf and icecream as well
The campsite is amazing Very nice site . But the lady that runs it needs to be a little more pleasant .
Willingdon Beach is wonderful the campground is fantastic always clean so are the washrooms The Host's Justin and Tracy are lovely People very approachable we are coming Back next year Joe +April Crooks
Great place to camp or to hang out with the kids for the day. Absolutely First class beach trail to walk with kids n dogs, or ride your bike through old growth forest, excellent path with historic logging equipment placed through out the trail with interesting write ups on different trees n foliage and logging equipment and practices. Can not miss out on this great relaxing trail, accessible to all.
It's a cute beach. Not much else to add really
Cute park with a playground, small water park, and a lot of covered benches attached to it. A small jetty and dock are also nearby. This place can be a bit breezy, so bring a light jacket even in the summer. We saw a few seals and starfish from the water's edge.
Nice walk didn't get to explore it all but it seems nice.
Absolutely love this little community. Beautiful camp ground along the ocean and close to all emmenities.
We were killing time and had lunch in this park, got some ice - cream from the Beachhut, then walked out on the fishing pier. A pleasant afternoon, and, even though there were lots of people around, it was very peaceful.
Children friendly and a great trail!
Awesome views!! Good walking n hiking trails. Nice sandy beach
Nice beach. Small. Harsh dog restrictions. Don't bring Fido, he likely won't be welcome.
Incredible RV Park. Always went right by in our commercial fishboat,1st time stopped and enjoyed Powell River and this park Staff is incredible. Park sparkles A must stop and stay
Beautiful park to have fun. Lots of different activities for adults and kids
Quiet and an energetic place at the same time with amazing sunsets
This is a main hub in PR. Festivals are held there (Canada Day, etc), there's a beach trail (very pleasant for walking), a nice campground, a water park, swimming, exercise equipment, decent food at the restaurant, a playground, big open field for use, volleyball net, a beach. Great park.
Beautiful trail, well kept and interesting plaques along the way to share the history of the place.
I love that you can do so many things here. Walk go to the water park . Have something to eat. Walk across the street and play mini golf.
Very good park picnic tables, green grass, beach and a view of the water, trail close by to go walking on.
Small beach park also can play beach volleyball here. You should watch sunset in this place, very romantic and beautiful!!
Beautiful Spot. Great park for the kids and relatively quiet. Also a nice beach for swimming and beachcombing. A+++ stop for kids.
Beach. Play ground. Spray park. Walk among the giant cedars!
Beautiful place, beach and sunsets
Great campground, lots of services, little odd that a public walkway goes right though it, we never had any troubles
