Reviews of Powell River Visitor Centre (Tourist Attraction)

From someone who studies and works with tourism, the fact that this tourism building is near absolutely zero touristic attractions, and is far from the main road and the ferry terminal, is an absolute ridiculous idea. If you're walking into powell river, or have no car, this office is on top of a hill, not a fun time getting there. Once I did get there, I got very little help accept for some maps and books which is nice. The old man was kind but the two younger ladies obviously didn't want to be there. One girl laughed when I asked a question, it just wasn't a nice place to be honestly. Skip going there and just figure this town out for yourself. Didn't like powell river before and this didn't make it any better.

Came in 2021 Summer, very dissuading to me and several visitors in the buildings same as the other negative review, told not to hike trails or general not to be town I'm sure the local businesses do not feel the same, might want re-evaluate who you have working in your visitor centre

The place to go for information, as you'd expect, but also quite good for souvenirs. They have a selection that mirrors that of several of the other knick knack shops in town and at competitive prices. Also, a neat 3D map of the region that's worth a peek if you're in the area.
