One of my favorite beaches to go to in the county. It's usually pretty quiet which is nice. Try to go when the tide is out, though, because when the tide is in the beach is very small.

Great provincial park. Mostly closed in the winter but you can still access it for a walk on the shore. Beautiful views. Worth coming for a walk or a picnic. It has basic but good amenities, such as the toilets and change rooms. Some great geology here as well.

Very nice beach. Parking is a couple hundred meters from the beach via boardwalk. At high tide the water is very shallow for at least 100 meters out, only up to waist deep but mostly only knee deep until it starts to get deeper. Very nice, fine, reddish sand.

Please stop in and enjoy this amazing beach. You can walk for km's it feels like. The sand is soft and warm at the top and perfect for sand castles along the water at low tide. With lots and lots of shells and cool different rocks to use.

Such a beautiful beach , picnic area for lunch. Warm warm water and very shallow. Great for the little ones high tide and even better with low tide. We chased crabs, hermit crabs and even a lobster. Watched the ferry to PEI go back and forth. There is change houses and outhouses. The walk from the parking lot rather short and on a boardwalk. We for sure be back!

Nice beach that you can walk out for at least 300 feet. Warm water. Not very busy. Went for a winter walk. Windy, still beautiful.

I’m from Toronto and visit NS every few years. I’ve had memories of this beach reaching back to when I was a young child, and I’m glad the beach has remained the same ever since. Never any trash, always covered in shells and never any people here. A beautiful hidden gem.

Beautiful sand beach with a sandbar at low tide and rocky pools at its farthest reaches. We went for my son's school trip and everyone had a fantastic time. Changed a bit since I was a kid, but still a fabulous beach.

Beautiful spot to watch the ferries crossing between Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. I love just walking up and down the beach finding whatever the tides bring in.

Beautiful beach in Pictou County near Caribou Island. Quiet, clean and soft sand to walk on. Beautiful boardwalk to the small beach, and a view of the PEI Ferry going back and fourth. A perfect blend of being able to walk out a bit before it gets deep, and still being able to go out and swim without risking any rip currents was lovely. I highly recommend this calm water beach to families, going solo, or going with friends. Also, my boy loved it.

Was here with family and what an awesome spot to enjoy a relaxing evening watching the sunset. Sandy Toes and sun kissed with family what else can you ask for! The water was really nice temperature, watch out for the mosquitoes and flies, relentless! Make sure to take bug spray and after bite stuff. The beach is open until dusk so we returned around 9pm

When tide is out there are sand bars from one end to the other. The kids have a blast. Outdoor toilets need paper refills and should have a hand sanitizer dispenser.

This park has a large wonderful beach with boardwalks from the parking lot to the beach. It also has change rooms only thing missing is bathrooms and a bit more up keep .

Used to be a hidden gem but getting more and more attention. Awesome for little kids because the beach is very shallow. At low tide you actually have to walk out and run after the water.

Huge sandbar when the tide is out leaves lots of hermit crabs and starfish to enjoy. Nice sandy beach with no crowds has been my experience. This is in the eastern end of the park, don't tell anybody!

This is underrated beach and deserves more attention! It’s absolutely beautiful beach with great views and warm water. Very good for kids, swimming and relaxation.

What a beautiful beach! Sandy beach and shallow water for some distance out which is great for kids and dogs. It was very clean! No garbage on the beach or along boardwalk. There are change huts and bathrooms. I think I will be going there today to cool off and watch the PEI ferry cross. A perfect spot to visit this summer!
