I'm sure the original lighthouse was much more photogenic than this automated replacement but the drive and the views when you get here more than make up for it. Great view of Pictou Island and of the Ferries coming and going from Caribou.

Wow! Great place! If you like calm and quiet place without any crowd, it's the best place for you. You can seat on the rock on the bank of the ocean, watch the tide, Pictou island and the ferries heading to New Foundland.

Climb over the rocks in the front of the parking and there is a nice sandy beach to rest on the rocks and watch the ferries go by.

Not to far of a drive. At low tide you can walk all around the light house finding small fish swimming and hermit crabs too just at the edge of the water. Watch the PEI ferry's come and go. Nice spot to take a drive out too.

Came here to snap some photos on a chilly December day. Arrived at sunset and just sat in the car with my tea watching the ice flowing and the seagulls. Its a beautiful drive out here and while its not the best looking lighthouse it's still a nice spot.

Lighthouse in desperate need of a fresh paint job. Half the lighthouse (building attached) was torn down. Looks like a derelict building now. Shame.

Tide was on it's way in. Not much left of the lighthouse since the gov't removed the house part. But it's still lovely out at the end of Caribou Island. Excellent view of the ferries when they are running.
