(Translated) It is one of Ontario's largest and most beautiful beaches, boasting three beaches: Sandbanks Beach, Outlet Beach and Dunes Beach, attracting hundreds of thousands of tourists a year. …

A historic County destination. The Hotel mysteriously burnt in 1983. No public washrooms. Worth a star. A spiritually and magical place if you can find w quite section in the warmer months.

If you go there for the view on Ontario Lake, it's a 5 stars. If you go there for the historical site, there are some boards with a few photos and historical notes and mostly nothing left beside a bit of concrete here and there.

Dawn Gannon

Of course the Lodge burned down quite a while back...many hikers with and without dogs were out today enjoying the sunshine.

Darryl Grant

This place is wonderful, when ever my friends and I go to sandbanks we always make a stop here. The view us to die for, we cant watch the fairy come and go, and even the wild life. We watched a hawk fly by with a fish! The food is wonderful, they have this pizza thing that I get all the time with cream fresh cheese. The bathrooms there are good sized tho I feel that they need to do a once over to get rid of bugs but there is not much you can do when the place is so open.

Cao Hui

Quiet place to stay alone

The lakeshore Lodge isn't there anymore, just a few steps left to show where the building used to be. The sunset though are there and they are the most spectacular around Sandbanks. Take your camera and go, the share some pictures.

Great for Private gatherings, but have to be extremely careful if you want to get into water here. Rocks are slippery, and lots of drop-offs on these sharp rocks. Other than that, gorgeous views!☺

Great place to go for a picnic and enjoy a nice swim afterwards

Johanne Lavoie

(Translated) Very pretty area, superb Sandbanks beach alone is more than worth the trip, having nothing to envy in several places by the sea …

Dave Tugwood

nice part of Sandbanks for day use with plenty of interesting rock shoreline to explore and level trail for walk or bike.No amenities except for one or two picnic tables and a porta potty. You can get to the Lake Ontario sector of the dunes from here as well.

Cathy Tyrrell

I love this place all year every year

Natalia A

From the lodge itself, there is only remains of foundation. But the beach to the right and a walking trail to the left are nice. Beware of the ticks.
