Went to Prince Edward County for a few days and although the wineries were beautiful and the Sandbanks were lovely, the highlight of our get-a-way was our room at the House of Folconer. First, the owner, Alex, answered the phone and assisted us, then when we got there, his partner, Adam, enthusiastically showed us our dwellings and told us a little about the history of the building. Then, we got to spend two nights in a beautiful “flat” (there’s no other way to describe it) that reminded me of the lovely inns we stayed at in Italy. Gorgeous ambiance with sloped ceilings and beautiful wood floors, and then unique artsy pieces scattered throughout! Definitely, one of our top travelling experiences.
