Awesome place to bring your kids.
An excellent park in the city.
Five minutes out my door ! Great for hiking and mountain biking love your PTBO .
Love this place it's a great park
Great place for a family outings.
One of my absolute favourite places.
This place is a gem. Park the car and enjoy this beautiful green space in the heart of Peterborough.
Nice place for a walk in the park
Very nice park with lots of benches, picnic tables, shade, and play area.
Great place for walks by the water and great trails
Great place to visit
Scenic park with a pond and covered bridge makes for good photo opportunity.
Great to walk with dogs in a peaceful outdoor atmosphere.
Cool walking (or biking) trail. Nice for summer strolls. Nothing to strenuous.
Gorgeous park! Plenty of paths to walk, really nice peaceful places to sit and relax. I love it here! It just gets too busy sometimes. And people unfortunately seem to leave bags of dog poo & litter around the park, even though there are garbage and recycling bins within the park.
A gem of a valley park in Peterborough complete with stream and riparian vegetation. It deserves all the appreciation locals and visitors seem to feel for it. Jackson Park should be nurtured, and never taken for granted.
Professional loving caring staff, as well as clean
An amazing park with a number of trails, a creek, a playground, bathrooms, and a local larp group meets there on Wednesday evenings!
Really nice area to visit with lots of trails to explore.
Awesome place for running, cycling and picnic
Beautifull place for a walk/pictures
Good place to bike, just don't go at night
Vert nice area.
Lots of good bike trails great fun
Great spot to walk your dog!
It is a nice park to take the dogs for a walk that is not hard on their feet. It is lovely to be out in nature.
a wonderful place to go exploring
This is a magical place. A place of infinite lore. The people of Peterborough are blessed to have such an abundance of nature.
I've loved coming here with my son ever since he was in kindergarten. It is starting to show that is used alot. But we still love it.
I love Jackson Park! Great trails for walking or biking, some good drops for daredevils and a really large amount of trail
Lots of green space, not overcrowded
Love this park! So fun to bike and walk through! Friendly people that say hi and there's a serious amount of geocaching available if that's an interest.
Open area, lots of trails, lots of nature
The most beautiful park in this part of Ontario. Old growth cedar forest, playground, walking and biking trails, cray fishing in the creek, splashing around in the summer in the creek, beautiful fall colour on the trees, quiet winter walks by the river
Always well kept and maintained a great jewel in Peterborough
A great place to take a (well behaved) dog to let run off leash for a while. Not an off leash park at all but people are very laid back and there are tons of trails to choose of you need to avoid people. Great place to jog too. Flat long trails, winding bush trails, hills....it has a bit of it all.
Can't beat a lovely park that is so close to downtown. It is also easily walked to from downtown! Love the small paths that branch from the main paths, the sounds of the rushing water and all the wildlife. Very flat trails on many parts allowing for strollers for sure!
A jem I the middle of the city. In only minutes you can be out having a nice quiet walk in the woods around the pond.
Nice place to walk and go around. Best to visit in Spring or autumn, in winter snow overshadows the other beauties
The best park I've been to!
Very lovely. The trees aren't green yet, but the weather is nice and cool for walking or jogging. I'm not used to long walks or jogs, but I covered 5 kms without realizing. I was so engrossed in the nature sights. This is definitely going to be a regular trail for me and my husband to walk/jog.
Great place to go for a walk with the family
Great, but it lacks a small pool for children
Nice clean park.
Love how big the place is! So many different trails to take, and it's great if you're a cyclist or dog owner. Always filled with super friendly people!
Nice walk .340 u will see turtles .good to bring ur kids .bring bread. This is my daughter writing lol
My favorite park to go to and even has a skatepark nearbye to go to as well ????????????
A piece of paradise in the middle of the city!
A walk in the park, beside the creek you can go unwind, chill out and revive the goodside and just....ahhhhhbh ya know?
Jackson park is a nice peaceful setting. My brother caught a nice perch, but the water level is a little low.
Nice bit of country in the city. Good for hiking, biking, jogging or walking your dogs. Wish the city would do something about the invasive plants. Garlic mustard, poison ivy, dog strangling vines. Also discarded needles and beer bottles. Stay on the trails and you're okay.
So beautiful! The trails are fantastic!
Wonderful place to walk through and sit and enjoy the weather. A lot of beautiful things to see. Great trails, great adventures. Disobedient dogs not on leashes cause some distress, both to humans and other small dogs.
Lovely walk. It's a really nice place in the summer to go for a walk with your dog or someone!
Pretty clean lots of people without mask thro
Great place for nature walks and good old picnic.
Great for walks, chatting with acquaintances.
Such a beautiful park in the heart of Peterborough. Miles of walking trails some very exciting bike trails. Take a break for a picnic along the river. Trails also connect to trans canada trail system. From the parking lot you can head towards down town on the trail system.
Wonderful place for family photos.
Gorgeous park!
Someone stole our benches from our TP !WTF! 2 stars because the river was nice, I hope the homeless didn't piss into it too much.
Great place for the family to take nature walks.
Nice green space in Peterborough kinda sketch at night though
Beautiful trails/water park...
Lots of trails, a creek, good parking all in downtown Peterborough
We were here for a walk along the TransCanada Trail.
This park was much bigger and more beautiful than I thought it would be. Lovely spot.
Beautiful place
Beautiful place for a hike
Great place for a short or long outing. Lots of trails in a mature forested park of Peterborough Ontario. Good for walking , cross country skiing or biking, given the right season of course.
Peace and quiet away from the noise place to relax and enjoy the water running through the cit
Great park but they need to do something about the homeless that live there
This will be both for average folks who take their dogs for walks and for folks who are fellow photogs. Not for amateur shooters that’s for sure! I shoot here frequently and really enjoy it. It’s got a lovely feel and lots of variety for images and backgrounds. You need lenses and bodies which deal with low light very very well. You can’t shoot successfully there without good gear unless there is just the right circumstances for light and conditions. Better not to take chances and bulk up before going here. Pictures are from winter and from late spring. Walking and biking is awesome here. Tons of trails, lots of space and nice variety of spaces to go. There is parkland with a jungle gym, forest trails, bike trails and a nice trail along the river side.
One of the best spots to unwind. The cedar groves are very peaceful and the walking trails are very easy. Great place for a run.
Jackson park is a lovely place to get out into nature. The pathways are for the most part unpaved but very well maintained. The paths all connect to the Trans Canada Trail.
Love Jackson Park and I hope it never changes...
Lovely trails in the midst of nature. We took the trail by the creek and our dog loved it.
My friend and I visit this park annually, and enjoy the multiple trails available within the park.
One of the best secret natural gem in Peterborough. I heard it from ancient forest website and curious to see ancient trees. A cute pond in the middle was a surprise bonus. Quiet river front in the northern end is the most the most enjoyable part of park. Trails goes through the park towards Lindsey.
Not a bad spot to hang out
Its ???? lovely out there
Always clean,quiet and tranquil.
Beautiful trails throughout the forestry for biking, wide main path, so much to explore. When it comes to terrain, there are many options and no surprises (drops, marsh, etc).
Great place to take the family and pets for a walk.
The Pièce de résistance in hiking, walking and biking! Numerous offroad trails, plus the main gravel trail that goes through the park and well beyond. The old railway, now part of the Trans Canada Trail. Jackson creek runs through, down to the large pond and pagoda bridge flowing all the way down to the Otanabee River. Enjoyable outings no matter the season.
Nice forest trails
This is a fantastic park for Sunday afternoon strolls or a quick run in the park. If your into mountain biking, keep your eyes peeled for all the unofficial side trails.
A great place to walk and enjoy
Best walk of my life
Jackson's Park is a nice place to take a walk. There are many trails in there not just the main one that is the old railroad track. We often take the smaller more unused trails. We also find them easer to walk on then the harder ground of the old railroad track.
I love this Magical Park. There is always a new place to adventure.
I really hope they never develop this park
Great trails but would like to see more single track through the wooded areas
Perfect place for the walk and peace in the mid city of the Peterborough
It's still a nice park but it really needs some tidying. The pond is full of weeds and vegetation.
Great place for a quick hike
Amazing park along the trans Canada trail.
Highly recommend to explore
Beautiful park with lots of trails to walk or bike.
Walk in the woods was amazing..don't forget the creek
My favorite place to get my workout!
Beautiful park, Beautiful pond
A wonderful trail close to downtown Peterborough. Woodsy and serene!
It's a great park to visit in the summer but not one to visit during the winter if you're an older person who has had trouble with getting around because there's too much snow or ice on the path ways I'm afraid of slipping and re injuring both knees again as I've had both knees replaced in the last two years.
Beautiful place to visit if you wanna feel close to mother earth
Huge park with lots of trails. Great for hikes or walking the dog.
Absolutely beautiful! Great for trail walks, biking and just a lovely area that offers miles of nature and adventure for the whole family or individual physical activity!
Awesome place to walk your dog ...people seems to be good about keeping their dogs on leashes
Fantastic place to take the family on adventure and also beautiful location for seasonal photo sessions
Very cool place to spend leisure time
Huge park, trans Canada trail and woodland trails to explore.
It's beautiful place, get to take nice stroll. Please don't let them build an overpass through it.
Nice, clean, beautiful in the fall, and absolutely magical in the winter
Lovely urban park close to downtown Peterborough. Great spot to start your bike trip to Omemee. Recommended that you park in the large lot off of Parkhill at the top of Monaghan, go through the big arches and lots of places to park!
Very beautiful. Very senic. Great for picnics, photoshoots and physical activity.
Its a beautiful place to go for a walk
My favourite park in the city, good for walking, and biking.
Great place for a walk with the dog. Plenty of spots for kids to play. Nice park.
Not salted pathways but that's lots of fun when you have two 9 year old boys that want to slide around and have fun.
Jackson Park is gorgeous this time of year, with the fall colors in full swing any day now, it makes a great family hike or a bike ride with friends.
I love the trails here. I grew up way out in the country and sometimes I really miss being in nature. This park is a great place to enjoy our country's natural beauty. We're very lucky to have such a wonderful place right here in our city.
Great single track loop MTB run
Beautiful walking paths, natural canopies, amazing for all ages!
A great place for kids at the playground. Or a park to wander around and enjoy nature within the city.
I went there and there is small pond with the beautiful trees reflection. I can't stop taking long breath and photos.
It's a beautiful walking experience
Probably the best kept secret in Peterborough. Fantastic rail trail system, which spans for miles. Great running, hiking, biking, trail. You name, it you can get outdoors for hours on this system.
We found this little park off the main Rd and walked around the whole river. It was beautiful from start to end. Will definitely be coming back.
Amazing place to bike, walk, run and sit. I do a lot of bicycling there and they have a lot of trail systems throughout. Just be careful if you go off the main trails, hobos make campsites.
I grew up in the forests of both Jackson & Hamilton parks...and look how I turned out!!! (For the record, I turned out fine, thanks for asking) Beautiful place!!! (Just bring bug spray)
Had coffee with family. Nice setting in the outdoors with swings and other equipment for the kids.
Great park and trail
Always an interesting place to hike through. My grandkids love it there!!!
Great spot for photos...
Nice place. Missing trail maps near the parking lot though. Pond nearby was dry/low. Not sure if that's a seasonal or regular thing though. Visited in early August.
My roommates and I live just down the road from here, we come all the time and love it. It's walking distance from most of Parkhill and Chemong, or from downtown. The trails are always groomed and there's both hills and flat ground. Would recommend for any time of the year.
I love to walk and ride my bike in Jackson park. There are so many side trails that you can go exploring on.
Nice place to visit occasionally, not so nice at night.
Very nice place
Should have more packed dirt trails instead of crushed gravel.
Relax and walk between the woods with some great sights on either sides. ????
Beautiful park, great walking, hiking
This park is beautiful the trails offer so much to look at with lots of veriaty of tree and plant species. Can evan see fish in the river if you look close enough. Awsome place to bring kids to get there energy out.
Love to walk my dog there very relaxing. Kept very well by city. I only wish the public would do the same.
Good park for walking the dog. Great for mountain biking and running also. Playground at the upper part. There is 2 different entrances/access points. Nice creek /river running thru it.
It has the potential to be a beautiful park except for the litter and graffiti. More garbage and recycling bins are needed, especially around the playground. The playground itself is old, faded and seems to be missing pieces. The trails are beautiful though.
We like this place for a hike and the playground is pretty decent as well. There are lots of forest side rails, and a big main trail that is paved, so good for strollers too. Washrooms are always closed (even pre-pandemic), so don't count on them.
So cool
Nice!
Went on wonderful adventure with my dog. So much to see and smell! It was great using the shallow creek for overcoming his fear of water. We preferred staying on the west side of the creek where there are more natural paths and fewer passing bicyclists but even on the pond side, the paths are wide enough to be enjoyed at a safe and comfortable distance from other park visitors. Additionally, multiple entrances (both off Fairbairn and off Parkhill) are also great because they further distribute visitor traffic and reduce crowding. My biggest concern here is the number of people who walk their dogs off-leash -there are signs reminding people of local bylaws and pet etiquette; all dogs are *supposed* to be leashed, but there is no enforcement of this. I would be wary of walking a puppy or any dog in training because it can be difficult avoiding sudden encounters with irresponsible owners. It is especially bad in winter, when the paths get icy and you lose traction and stability. It is difficult to react when a loose dog suddenly rushes towards you.
Nice local park, fun, extensive trails through cedar forest and alongside the river. Great for bikes and dogs. Part of the Trans Canada Trail network.
Lots of trais for mountain bikes and trails for road bikes
Beautiful park to walk in if you want to escape the city noise
Such a beautiful path. Still natural without much damage to the forest feels very relaxing f
Great place to walk the dogs
Beautiful park. Lots of mosquitoes. Lots of wildlife. Playground at the far west side. Trails are well maintained.
Great park and lots of trails for hiking as well as linking up with the Trans Canada Trail for biking or long distance runs.
Beautiful park in the fall
Great place to take a nice walk in nature
A nice park in a ravine, good trails and picnic areas
A must visit if you like parks. Beautiful all year round!
Great green space to get outdoors and enjoy nature before a 4 lane road is built through
Lacks nothing in magnificent natural surroundings, including creek, nature hikes and fascinating bridges. Very clean and crisp. A well equipped 'Outhouse' exists at the entrance!
Lovely park with many trails.
Nice park, nice trails, lots of benches. Saw a Circapia moth caterpillar which was super neat.
Beautiful park.
Great place to run or bike ride. Lots of people on the trail.
Peaceful and well maintained! Not much parking available. 20 vehicles or so max. If you have respiratory issues, please be careful as the gravel road causes clouds of dust each time a biker passes by or if there's wind. Wasn't crowded therefore people don't tend to wear masks there.
Great trails and a park at the end of Monaghan. You could walk from here to Omemee if you wanted to.
Beautiful park, great trails.
Always great to take a walk here. Most paths flat enough to bring a baby on but the flatter the trail, the less shade available.
Jackson Park has existed in Peterborough for many years and serves as a super highway for nature enthusiasts and outdoor lovers who use the trails in the park. The is parking for cars, and a playground/picnic area. The surrounding post secondary institutions also use the park for research.
Clean Park, great for long walks
From childhood to adulthood.. Jackson park holds many a good memory..
My family walked the trails last week. It is an awesome area for pokemon hunting if you are into pokemon go. Lots of pokemon gyms and stops along the way, our girls had a blast. We saw so many places that would be amazing for a photo shoot too!
Love this park...many memories
Great place for a walk in nature.
Lovely place along the Trans Canada Trail with great hiking opportunities. There is a creek, bridges, pergola, and a playground near the parking lot above.
Such a unique gem to the city. Every city should be so fortunate as to have planned aside a park like this one.
I visited the park on a crisp winter morning. Beautiful scenery.
Awesome.
Too many mosquitoes and not enough benches or recycling.
A perfect place for a Fall sunny day picnic. It has some very majestic trees which flaunt their fall yellows and oranges with verve. Ideal place for your fall selfie.
Great trails lots of forest
Beautiful place to walk, ride a bike, take a picnic in Peterborough.
It's a nice place to practice yoga or meditation
Natural splendor sprinkled with hidden homeless camps. It's everything you could want in a park.
Amazing Place. Had a good time, and feltvalot of zen here. I definatley reccamend this place a place to just go for a walk, and relax. Do it during the day though.
Great spot for a walk or run.
Clean trails for walking, running, or bike.
Fabulous walking trails! Beautiful setting!
Lovely park located in Peterborough, beautiful walking trails.
Grew up running and biking here. Absoloutly gorgeous.
Love going through the trails very pretty and relaxing.
Nice place for a walk
Nice park for walking biking and drinking beer
Fantastic trails, playground and great photo backdrop.
Amazing place to enjoy nature
Beautiful trail for hiking and mountain biking.
It's a peaceful place in the evening. Good for meditation and star gazing on a clear night, away from the lights of town.
Great place to clear your head and get away
Excellent walking and bike trails! Also a play structure for the kids as well as swings. It's a great place to take the family! Just be prepared for the washrooms to be locked. I don't believe I have ever been when they were open... Even in mid summer.
This is a beautiful, tranquil place in Peterborough. No matter how stressful a day I might be having, this place brings calm.
A great place to go for a walk, run or any other physical exercise. Has a nice playground, and 2 parking lots. A number of places to sit and relax too!
I go here pretty much daily. Lots of various trail options for walking hiking biking etc.
Great place to walk the dogs and see nature.
Amazing place. No huge rush. A must visit spot for anyone in and around Toronto
Clean truly Canadian natural. Free, enjoy your walk hike or bike.
This is a truly beautiful area to take a hike. Watch your step though! It is easy to trip or fall if you aren't careful! Still a totally lovely area for a walk.
If you ever need to escape the city atmosphere for a few hours, be it on foot, or bike, it's hard to not loose yourself in these trails. They are perfect!
Great place to feel in the country. While still being in the city. Lots of trails. And various levels to walk up or down to the river or just along various paths.
Jackson's Park is a beautiful Park for sightseeing and just enjoying that the scenery. The dog just love it.and it's a place where you can keep your distance from others safely.
Nice park, walk by the stream is excellent, you can also walk through the stream. There is play area for kids.
Pond was drained garbage all of the place sorry ptbo but I want more.
I love going there around sunset/dusk to see the beavers in the water
Great walk, haven't done that for years. Look forward to the next time..
Beautiful walking trails. Wildlife
Great walking/cycling trail - actually part of the Trans-Canada Trail. Excellent for getting the kids out and getting close to nature.
Loved the place. Great place for evening walks. It comes under trans-canada traill. You will enjoy different kind of natural scenario it different seasons. Great place for cycling. There is a creek as well. Benches for sitting and enjoying the beuty. Great place for dog walks. Baby friendly area, so you can come with your baby and play in the park. You will find enough private space to enjoy a quiet time by yourself or with the loved ones. If you want a break from the hectic city life, pay a visit for relaxation.
Just watch out for poor dog owners letting their dogs off leash.
Always loved this place. Beautiful trees and birds. Path for walking or biking. Creek to dangle your feet in or to cool your dogs.
Great for walking dogs or hiking/biking on the available trails. Even beginner trail biker like myself can enjoy going through it.
I love walking threw w dogs
Beautiful trails. Can walk for hours and connects to other trails around town. It's a favorite for sure!
Great place for a lovely walk, ride, cross country ski, skate, sled..
An urban oasis. The trails give you a taste of the Kawartha forests right in the city.
Such a beautiful little place in the middle of the city. My first time there despite having gone to Trent in the 80s and having a cottage nearby my entire life!
If you like to go for walks and have a amazing view this is the perfect place for you
The park is pretty and well-maintained. It could use more benches for senior citizens.
Great big park. Country in the city. Lots of trails and lower levels that come to a river.
The park is nice and large and has a nice pond. It was busy during our time but wasn't overly crowded. There are offroad trails and a paved trail.
Jackson Park is a little jem in Peterborough. With limited accessibility you can still experience a piece of Peterborough landscape history.
The best park in Peterborough connecting all trails. Has many lakes and creeks. Looks like a mini forest
Mens Bathroom locked. Ladies smelt like a porta-potty.Gross
Such a beautiful park. Lovely scenery. Great for fall photoshoot. Has a playground. However playground could use some improvements.
Very nice park, but too many off-leash dogs.
Nice and well kept good for a walk
We MTB here alot, lots of fun
Great for a short walk, could be cleaner though.
It was fun it is a good place for a hike.
Excellent in summer and fall; Lots of space and plenty of trail options. It disappoints in the winter/early spring when people walking their dogs seem to think they don't have to pick up the poop and it just becomes a slippery poop minefield. Real treat on the first warm spring day when the tons of frozen poops melt and it smells horrible until it's either cleaned or decomposes.
Really nice place to take a walk by yourself, a partner, friend or dog. The Nordic ski track is groomed but is difficult to maintain because it is shared on the walking path. Please be conscious of this and try to stay off the ski track! Dog owners also seem to be pretty diligent about the doggy doodoo.
Great spot for walks, bike riding, etc...
Good snow for classic skiing today
A great outdoor space with a park and lots of trails along a river for walkers, runners or bikers to get some exercise while in nature. Great for families.
As good as it ever was. I'm glad they did not run a road through it like they had proposed.
Lovely park, with wide bike/walking trails and smaller winding forest trails
I walk there almost every day. I love the park .
Beautiful park and many great sceneic spots for photos!
Well kept, beautiful environment and very friendly.
Very nice park to take a stroll in! Very well kept too
One of my favourite places in Peterborough! Beautiful wide, level trails, perfect to bicycle, push a stroller, go for a run, or cross country ski in the winter!
Great trail to walk during the daytime hours, little sketchy at night.
This park is absolutely amazing. I love visiting and coming here.
Great place for a walk in the park.
How the hell do u know l was there??
I hike these trails for about 90 min everyday. Absolutely gorgeous, relaxing, and well kept. Hats off to the city/fellow trail users for helping to keep it this way.
Beautiful trails. Peterborough is blessed with a variety of criss crossing trails. You can walk to Lakefield one way or onto Lindsay another. This is a beautiful part of Ontario. It truly is lake country.
Nice easy walk around the water. Very peaceful spot
Amazing network of trails and streams hidden within the city
My favorite park to take the kids. Also my favorite place to walk, jog or cool off at the creek
Jackson Park is located in and around and under the Parkhill, Monaghan and Fairbairn neck of the woods. It is a unique oasis of large cedar trees situated in the northwest environs of our small city, Peterborough, Ontario. Jackson Park is connected by unusual road entrances, worn bike paths, and of course, by Jackson Creek itself, which starts somewhere in the depths of the Cavan Swamp, runs gently past Lily Lake, and empties in to Little Lake, joining with the Otonabee River. Jackson Park is a destination for what generally seems to be he urban folk of Peterborough who like nature. Kind of like a big backyard for those of us who have smaller backyards or no backyard at all. The topographical feature of Jackson Creek is that it leads me into a valley, and therefore shelters me from the many noises of the city. Rolling in to Jackson Park, by whatever method, I can feel the weight of the day gently lift off my shoulders. It’s a park, but it’s more than that, it’s our park. Jackson Park is a journey, not part of my daily commute, like Millennium Park, or other paths around Little Lake that are part of my daily routine, but a journey that leads you once you arrive there. It forces one to amble down small paths toward the creek, and then shoots you along a straight line to Atkinson Road, or at least the wooden bridge.
Great park. Lots of trails to walk or bike. Nice scenery.
Beautiful park with great trails for year round enjoyment
A wonderful natural feature within the City that has potential to be Crown of the City's park system. Sadly neglected by City planning and City operations. There is now vision; no commitment. Many aspects have fallen into disrepair. The playground is neglected. The pond has disappeared. The trails and bridges are neglected. There are now also safety and security issues.
Nice park ???? sound of water is relaxing plenty of people but nothing like the city
I adore this park! Absolutely gorgeous for a quiet hike.
Great place for family walks
It was very nice and peaceful
Great place to either walk through the woods, or enjoy the Trans Canada trail.
Love walking I Jackson Park
Great park lots of trails to walk or ride on great place to take your 4 legged friends for walks or to run and play
Huge hiking trails by the creek
Nice walking trail, but there is a lot of trash everywhere. The trash is in the trash can. Because we're cultural. I believe we can keep it.
Awesome place to go for a hike etc, not too busy during night. However I would recommend walk with someone or in a group as a precaution. The trail is long
Kinda filthy from what I remember years ago when trail walking. Shame the tents etc. Sign of the city failing its vulnerable.
Some neat trees in there. Even went to a wedding in Jackson park it's so sweet
Very nice trail in town but parking is very limited
Great place to walk, run and ride your bike. Enjoy nature and relax.
Amazing place to walk the dog! Great park! Very nice long trails, worth stopping for the walk!
Great place to go and spend some time out doors.
Best park in the Kawarthas
Love walking through the park, especially after a snow fall.
Amazing as always.❤
Great place to get lost in nature. So many beautiful spots to enjoy all that nature has to give. Lots of benches to sit on and enjoy the view or read a good book.
One of Peterborough's "Wildest" parks. Lots of the walking\biking trails through Jackson Park are treed with dappled light for much of the day. Great to chill around the pond\Pagoda.
Great place to walk in
This place is so calming and fun for a family walk.
Cool awesome park to look out in snow
So no nice to have picnic in a rural Forest.
Awesome park right in the city beautiful spot great for dogs, kids couple or just a walk by yourself love this place tons of nature and huge amount of trails
An nicely laid out set of paths in a beautifully treed park.
Nice trails. Disc golf course across the creek.
Beautiful place to walk.
Great place for outdoor activities. Well maintained.
Always a pleasure to walk/hike/relax in Jackson Park
Great park
Best Park in Peterborough. Period.
It is a beautiful park with a small quiet lake, and widely covered by various trees and shrubs, which make this park a well preserved natural park in a city. If you want to enjoy the fresh air, peace, or do some exercise such as Yuga or jogging after work (or in weekend), it is one of the best places to go.
Great walking trails.
Multidisciplinary urban park with a trail that leads out of town.
What a beautiful Park!great for walk/run/bike/its a breath of fresh air
Jackson Park, north on Monaghan Road when you get to Parkhill instead of turning, drive straight ahead into this hidden gem. There's swings and a little playset. Just venture into the deeper part of the park for lovely trails by Jackson Creek. Great way to get your steps in a peaceful/natural environment.
Best beautiful walking park in all of Peterborough . Rude ur bikes . Take ur dogs. Have treasure hunts with a bunch . But like any wooded area be aware of ur surroundings . Always b and stay safe .
Please leave the washrooms open through the day especially when events are going on such as the breat feeding walk yesterday. Really....lock at night is understandable.
Really nice place to hike or walk all year long
A beautiful and a peaceful place
Great park for walking with your dog
Beautiful setting for a couples walk
Great place for a relaxing walk
Wasps were terrible and the park had some garbage on the ground. Playground was fun for my grandsons.
Beautiful spot. Great place to walk my dog.
Beautiful park trail to bike or walk
Beautiful Park with great facilities.
Allways nice, well maintained.
Awesome place for a fresh hike!
Great park in Pererborough. Has Disc golf near by off a main trail. The park is clean and in good repair by the city. Big enough you can easily find some alone space.
Its our only GreenSpace!????Love Jackson's Park.

Very clean park and very nice trails. Great for people of all ages and nice place to walk the dogs. It’s quite peaceful.
Easy to walk trail. Easy access. Hard working resident beaver. All these right in the city.
Peterborough's Premier park great for walking or cycling
Sadly some disgraceful hi man's have left some garbage laying around..
Peaceful and Beautiful place.
The best park in the heart of Peterborough.
A great place for hiking and biking in the heart of Peterborough.
Beautiful creek side trails, parks
Nice playgrounds for the kids and awesome connections to bike trails.

This Is a well designed subdivision. There are three builders. Peterborough Homes, Parkview Homes, and Picture homes. All good builders. Beautiful park with a new bridge to the rail trail. This sub division has fully urban design, an internal children's park, side walk both sides of the roads. A new commercial convenience plaza being constructed now, as well as a number of condo units.
Beautiful park that showcases Peterborough and is an Oasis in the middle of a wonderful town.
Growing up it was my favorite place. Back then we could swim there, & its where I learned to swim. In the winter we tobogganed the sides. & in fall ts leaves are breathtakingly. Its the place, I asked my wife to marry me. I still love walking its trails. Every time I come to Ptbo, I spend some time there.
Today was my first time at this park, and it was wonderful. I'd driven past it lots, but never been in. Was relatively busy, but a great place to walk, bike, etc. Was a really nice trail.
Jackson Park is to Peterborough what Central Park is to New York. I can get lost for hours there with my dog. There are ways to find paths that are less frequented so that my dog can enjoy leash-free exercise without it disturbing anyone. (Not recommended for every dog owner) There are still plenty of accessible paths available for leashed-dogs, just as beautiful. It's a beautiful forest, nestled in the heart of the city, honestly feel so lucky to have access to such a beautiful space, any season.
Great place to go for a walk. Lots of scenery and wildlife.
Beautiful park in the city of Peterborough, but is not always the cleanest due to people not picking up after themselves and their dogs.
Always a nice walk through Jackson.
There IS parking. Nice place.
Not bad
A wonderful variety of trails for all ages to enjoy the outdoors.
Beautiful spot for a run or walk!
Seeing the leaves change colors was awesome
It is a beautiful inner city park with endless walking trails and Wildlife a beautiful place to spend a day and have a picnic

Very big park, lots of space and nature! Great for cycling, running, walking, picnicking and other outdoor activities!
Awesome trails...
Great walking trails and beautiful views.
A great park with trails, picnic area, tables, washrooms and parking. Play structure and swings. Lots of big trees for shade. Had a great family picnic. Convenience store across the street for supplies.
Always so pretty!
A gem in Peterborough city limits
Beautiful park for any activity. We had engagement photos taken in the spring when the apple blossoms were out and they were lovely!
Another great place for a picnic.
The pond in Jackson park is full and beautiful to see. The rivers are thriving and sparkle in the sun. The paths are clear and are used by cyclists, runners, people walking their dogs, and people simply walking and enjoying their surroundings. We go regularly to walk our dogs, they love it!
Great walking trail.
This is a great park and beach
We did a family photography session in the creek and it was beautiful
Great trails nice playground with public bathrooms
A small park donated to the city of Peterborough under condition it would only be used as a park. 49 Hectares of trails with some steep hills. Runs along jacksons creek between Macdonald and Fifes Bay Rd. A green jewel of the city.
I love the park and the trail! Such a great spot to observe nature!
I think the only thing missing from this beautiful park is some kind of highway running through it. Honestly, with all the peaceful nature and lovely people everywhere, it could use something industrial, noisy and stinky to break it all up. You know, for contrast.
A fun place to visit with family - great picnic spots and playground for kids to enjoy.
Beautiful park, actually has garbage cans. Nice walk along the creek
Nice park good for long walks safe for family functions
A hidden Gem within Peterborough. So Beautiful and peaceful!
