Many Trails, one not well known with historic buildings and bridge with fast flowing waters, great for families and dogs!

I've camped all over Ontario and this is the worst camp site I have visited. The lot management is horrible and looked to never be done even after a camper left. My pit was left in a horrendous manner with over a what looked like a week of wet half burnt logs and a few inches of old soot. Upon deciding to clean up my lot by removing debris to put my tent down I was approached by a park "ranger" telling me that I cannot pickup dead wood or burn it. Upon questioning what I should do with the deadwood, he said to throw it back into the camp site. Needless to say, I still cleaned up my site after he left as I did not want a ripped tent. The ticks in this area are BAD. Do not bring animals and keep yourself cleaned off and checked every day. The number of ticks I had to pick off my dogs despite them staying out of the brush was staggering. Even got a few myself. The walking beach on the hike-in trail was demolished with no upkeep. Two broken picnic tables were present with exposed rusted screws and the beach was unusable. Avoid this area as it is not seen upkeep at all. The trails are well done however and something people of all experience can do.

Murphy's point provincial park is probably the worst camping ground in all of Canada! People are piled over each other, no intimacy, having fun is strictly forbidden. We where fined for laughing with friends around the fire, and fined a second time for having an opened beer (in a can) on the beach. Between me and you a warning would of been sufficient for our family to understand. The park wardens will literally Stand next to your lot like creeps and wait for you to either be loud or cross the street to your friends lot with an alcoholic beverage to ticket you $125. Do not waste your time or money here you will regret it. Thank you warden Petit & Ogilvie for having no judgement or compassion. We were supposed to stay here a week and left the next day.

The park is beautiful but driving through Toronto is awful. It almost discourages us from going to the park. Something has to be done about the traffic through Toronto.

I have been living in Canada for over 11 years now and Murphy’s point provincial park was one of the first parks we have went too. The parks size is perfect to big and not to small. It has some amazing small beaches . I highly recommend camping there for a night or two!

Jessica Kerr

What a great camping experience! Water and amenities were clean and easily accessible. I would recommend this park if you were going with a chill group and looking for a quiet commune with nature. They do ask for quiet after 10 pm, which was not a difficult for my group of 4. All of our camp site neighbors also kept to this rule with quiet fireside chat after 10. The trails were well maintained and the staff were just so friendly. I particularly enjoyed our time with park guide Mark, who took us around the Lally homestead and Rigaud trail area for a nice 7km hike.

Alan Scott

My ultimate favorite campground. Even on long weekends it's quiet. Lovely time each time. Have been there two or three times.

I loved it...loved the 5.5km hike in the rugged trails in the mountain. Beautiful views and beach.

Philip Battison

Beautiful beach and campsites. But tell the Ontario Parks Enforcement crew to play some crossword puzzles on the night shift and to stop annoying all the campers. They literally stood waiting outside our campsite for us to speak slightly louder than appropriate to come and tell us that our voices are carrying too loudly. They came by TWICE and then threatened to fine us. We were just having a conversation by the campfire. If people come camping expecting everything to be perfectly quiet I think your idea of a vacation is unrealistic.

Ive been coming here since I was a baby. Its one of my favourite lakes or parks in all of Ontario. The campers beach is a favourite spot and we go back year after year.

Tons of animals, we saw deer daily and had our dining tent surrounded by 5 raccoons while we were still eating. Also lots of ticks. The sign for the daily use beach on sylvan trail is pointing in the wrong direction.

We are a small family of 3 (a 2.5 yr old daughter) and we stayed in site 49, which is a deluxe yurt. We have been tent campers but this yurt was a huge improvement and saved us tons of time setting our tent. We loved our 2 night stay (that's enough for our daughter), but we will stay with yurt if cabin camping from now on. We think it's worth the 3xtrw money. That said, the beds had clean waterproof mattresses, but the floor was laminate and was pretty dirty. Our daughter spilled some water, we used paper towels to wipe, and the towel was really dirty. Just wished the floor was cleaner so we could be comfortably bare footed, but we instead wore slippers in side. Overall, we had an amazing stay thanks to part staff who were super helpful.

Campground is hilly and makes for interesting driving in the park. Trails were nice and so we're the park staff. Camp site privacy left something to be desired, The forest is made up of thin tall trees, so there is nothing to break up the lines of sight, You can see all your neighbors and sound carrys well. Watch out for racoons, they aren't affraid of dogs or man

What a beautiful park! Some of the sites are very beautiful but others need a bit of work. It's a very hilly park and that's what makes it so picturesque but some site pads should be levelled off a bit to make it easier to get your RV straight and level. We find this difficult on some of the sites when we remove our truck camper from the truck, therefor we are limited in which sites we can pick. But I guess that's what makes this park so attractive, it's very "natural". At the beginning of our stay, the showers were too hot but as the week went by, the water temperature was better. The beach isn't very big but it's great for kids. Adults can swim beyond the cordoned-off section if they wish to go deeper. It's unfortunate that dogs are not permitted on the grassy area near the beach. It would be really pleasant to be able to tie your dog to a picnic table on the grass and go for a quick dip when it's really hot. I can understand not wanting dogs on the beach but they should be permitted on the grass. Another option would be to enlarge the sandy part of the beach and cordon off a section for families and their pets to swim in. This way, those who don't want to be around the animals can remain in the pet-free area. Dogs can swim at the boat launch but that's no fun for us. The bathrooms (comfort stations and vault toilets) are kept very clean, someone takes great pride in their work and it's very much appreciated! Whoever you are, keep up the great work! We love this park and camp there every year. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The activities are interesting, the boat launch is nice, the docks are new, it's quiet, you see deer every day. Give this place a visit, you'll be glad you did, it's worth it!

Matthew Murchison

I wasn't there that long, but sleeping under the stars was beautiful! The water was great, and it was the only time my company was prepped before our advisors!

Good to know: If you want to rent a canoe or kayak, they will not rent any past 11. It would have been nice if it was mentioned somewhere online

DO NOT GO TO THIS PARK!!! We have been doing family camping trips for over ten years to a different Provincial Park every year and this park was by far the worst! For some reason they feel that regular campfire chat with NO music and no one laughing out loud was unacceptable behaviour. We were continuously harassed night after night by the female warden who’s name I won’t mention. Never before in any other park have we experienced this. Further more when you enter the park there’s a sign that says “No Excessive Noise At Anytime Permitted” they use this at the beach in the middle of the day, at dinner playing washer toss or in the evening relaxing by the fire. Don’t even think of having music or you’ll be fined or asked to leave. Ontario Parks need to read the reviews and dial these people back. It’s camping, fun, silly behaviour for kids and adults. In no way are we disrespectful to them or other campers and we were made to feel that way. Shameful.... ruined our long weekend and annual family camping trip.

The trails are nice. The staff aren't. Literally look for reasons to bother you. We had to clean our site out of broken trees and sticks before we could put up our tent and we got told not to pick up deadwood? Also there were a ton of ticks and the fire pit was full of ashes. We had to clean it before we could use it... Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Worst park I've been to. :(

Jen Christie

We car camped over the long weekend in Sept here and really enjoyed it although I don't think we fully got to see the whole park. Our site was pretty private but it was a little loud due to a big group staying on the neighbouring sites. The lake was nice and we swam a little ways down from the beach. A little weedy & rocky so I wore my water shoes. Some neat hikes in the area. The silver queen mine sites are well preserved and worth checking out. Next time we'll try to rent a canoe or kayak as I'd like to get out to the point.

Andrew Foster

Decent amount of space on our campsite, lots of lakes to explore canoeing, hiking trails to travel and rare snakes to search for. Very much worth visiting

Murphy's Point is probably one of the best little Provincial Parks around for camping. Great beaches, walking trails, nice facilities and located close to the historical town of Perth, therest lots to do for everyone.

Joseph Luciano

Always a blast going here. Nice clean beach with clear water. Not a very busy beach every time I’ve visited. Haven’t camped here but driving through the sites look like a good size.

Wonderful park. Nice campsites. Super active wildlife. Friendly staff. Booked 3 sites last minute after our reservation at Bon Echo was cancelled due to covid. Only thing I wasn't happy with was the bathroom/shower situation. The washrooms were only cleaned once a day, if that. I had to point out a 2 day old poop smear on the wall to the staff. Saw the same garbage on the floor over several days. Obviously, I was slightly concerned about the safety of myself & my family. But when ya gotta go.... We camped during a heatwave & the showers were locked down. Every other business is making concessions during this trying period. Even my place of business have hired extra staff (students) through a subsidised government program to strictly sanitize..... Why can't these parks post a kid to routinely wash the bathrooms & showers after use? We all used the lake as a bathtub. Often. *Shudder*

(Translated) One of the worst camping experiences for our family. The park itself offers no privacy regardless of what the site reservation suggests. We booked a "high privacy" lot and we could not find a single place where we were private. The tree line is bare and the park is poorly maintained. The lot was full of litter when we arrived. Also please note that the raccoons are extremely brazen at this park. We are very cautious and place everything in the car at night and they are still around. Although we did not see it there was an active bear on the campsite during our stay. BEWARE: The park security team will find you. Maybe they have a fine quota to fill? The enforcers will walk around your house and wait for you. One of the security supervisors warned us that you'll be fined. I had been brushed off by the enforcement of the law. It really felt like they needed to fill the coffers. Sad that a family gathering can be ruined by zealous officers. Our extended family never gathered because we were terrified of being harassed or fined. Definitely not a place to go with children. Your vacation time is precious. Please do yourself a favor and visit another of Ontario's beautiful parks where you will be seen. ************************************************** **************** Do not visit this park. In this park the security guards look for any reason to give you an allowance. Maybe they have quotas to fill? They wait near your site to warn you if someone decides to talk or laugh a little too loudly. This is not really nice. In addition, the park is not beautiful. there are no private sites no matter what the booking site suggests. Be careful, you can have an ammende if you crossed the road to visit another site with an alcohol consumption open. There are far too many raccoons, even though we pay attention to the food (leave it in the car) they came within a few feet of our kids to try to find food. We did not see but supposedly that there was a bear in the park during our stay. Your time is precious, avoid this park and bring your family to another park in Ontario. Excellent park. Beach is wonderful. Family friendly. Facilities are very clean. Very quiet atmosphere. Staff are very helpful and wardens patrol regularly.

Overall a nice park but better of going somewhere else like Frontenac park or Bon Echo where there are way less noisy motor boats

Leah McCormick

Incredible park, definitely a hidden gem, but pretty unrealistic noise expectations that are very strictly enforced. I went to this park because it was recommended as an alternative to Bon Echo, and I am SO glad I found it! What an awesome campground with so many areas to explore and enjoy. The only downside I found were the noise expectations. The park was relatively quiet overall, but that doesn't mean everyone should be mute. After all, we were there to enjoy ourselves and be on vacation. There were a lot of solo campers in our campground (Ash Hill), which was lovely, but it meant that the night time was absolutely silent. This was totally fine, but it does mean that any, and I mean ANY, noise you make will receive a visit and warning from the warden even though there were no complaints from neighbours. I was there with my partner and another couple, and we were playing a relatively quiet board game. We would have loved to have played some quiet music but opted not to because it was so quiet and we didn't want to be disruptive. We were keeping our voices down very low, but understandably had the odd laughter, again at a reasonable, understandable volume. We received a visit and warning from the warden at 9:50pm saying we were creating excessive noise. This put a huge damper on our evening and we wrapped up early. The following day we finished our board game in the afternoon so that we wouldn't have a repeat of the following evening. That night, we opted to just sit around the campfire again and chat. Again, in hush tones with the odd laughter because hey, we are on vacation and visiting with friends we haven't seen in ages. However, we again received a visit, warning, and verbal reprimand from the warden with the threat of a fine next visit. This was incredibly frustrating and set the tone for the week to pretend we are living in a monastery as soon as the sunsets at 9pm. It also created a heavy veil of anxiety and uncertainty in our group of "be sure not to have ANY slightly audible fun or communications past dusk for fear of being thrown out". Overall, I understand the need for quiet. People are going there to be amongst nature and enjoy the peaceful outdoors. But there does need to be some understanding that ANY noise does not mean excessive noise, especially that early in the night. It was not midnight and we were not partying. Just enjoying our company in a special place, making s'mores and catching up, which is what we went there to do. My advice is that if you're going there to have fun with friends and don't plan on going to bed before 9pm, choose a different park. If you're going alone or with your partner and plan on settling in and reading or being silent at sundown, then this is the park for you. Either way, it's gorgeous, but definitely not the place to congregate with more than 2 people if you're expecting to staying up until 11 or later and would like to make the slightest peep.

Wonderful place we go every summer. Love getting away into the wilderness.

Great little place for a stop over. Mind the mosquitos.

Excellent Park.. Ideal for children right up to old guys and their dogs,, gotta love the places for the dogs to swim. People wouldn't swim there anyways.

Well managed park, clean and quiet. Beach was beautiful and the hikes were incredible. Due to Covid the mine tour is booked quickly with not enough spaces. Town of Perth was super quaint.

favorite place to camp with my Adult kids , granddaughters and dog! Have been going there for years ❤️

Melanie Paquette

Campground was nice and well maintained. Comfort stations were clean. Camp store was decently stocked. I was concerned after reading the reviews about the wardens ticketing people for being noisy, moving wood off their campsite, etc.. Thankfully, we did not have any such experiences, and we were a large group (8 adults, 6 teenagers, 4 younger kids) camping on 4 sites beside each other, and while we don't tend to be excessively noisy, with that many kids around, we aren't overly quiet either. We really enjoyed the mine tour and meeting Rosie the snake. I didn't see any ticks (we were there at the end of August) and I didn't see any raccoons at night, but did see evidence of them having visited (just like at any campground). We did see a couple of deer, tons of salamanders and frogs and a few snakes. I didn't make it to the beach, but the kids liked it and they caught a lot of fish. The biggest downside is that the camp sites themselves are very hit and miss for quality. They are very open, so there's not much privacy. My friend's site had basically no where to pitch a family sized tent as it was very hilly, rocky and full of tree roots. It appeared to be set up to accommodate a trailer only -- the only place suitable for a tent of any size was on the gravel pad (not ideal for keeping a tent free of holes), even though the website said it was suitable for multiple tents. Other sites were perfectly fine though. All in all, I would camp there again, but I would be careful in selecting camp sites. Definitely take the opportunity to go on a mine tour -- the nighttime tour is quite fun.

Amazing experience in such a majestic park surrounded by beautiful lakes, bays and rivers. A fantastic place to fish. A fishermans or womans paradise. Also amazing to canoe or kayak around. Park staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Especially enjoy my talks with Nancy at the park store and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Also have to thank Drew the park ranger who came and helped us after a long canoe ride out to rideau ferry in not the best conditions. Also extremely friendly and helpful. As for the campsites and experience. It was very pleasant and quiet. Very strict noise policy to which i appreciated. I've seen some nasty reviews and remarks and to that I say, you truly had to be too loud or out of hand that you needed to be warned and furthermore fined. The campsites are close to one another so you do have to take in consideration of your noise levels as it may disturb your neighbours. Also great benefit was when everything quieted down around 11. The park came alive with wildlife. Had a few deer come through my campsite as well as a porcupine and other critters. The coons werent a problem. There werent that many and they scare easily with a flashlight. All the creatures of the park were very docile and friendly to humans. Had an amazing experience canoeing on hogg bay being buzzed by a loon a couple feet over head. Animals everywhere day and night. Visitor centre very informative. Park store has all the necessities one may need including ones one doesn't. Needless to say if you forgot something important they have you covered. Trails were beautiful, MacParlen house was interesting. I have to say this is one of my favourite places I've been and I will definitely be returning. If you are looking to party all hours of the night this place isn't for you. If you are out to enjoy nature, wildlife, history and many memorable memories, this is the place for you. 5 star rating. Thanks again staff of Murphys Point for making this the best trip yet. Kudos all around. Very well managed.

We had a great stay here for the long weekend. It's just far enough out from Ottawa without being too inconvenient. Beach was nice, lots of activities. Never had any issues with noise or complaints. And that's with our own 2 children being pretty loud. The staff were excellent and always friendly. And Perth is only a quick drive away if you want to get back into cell reception and have access to amenities. The only thing that could have been improved is the fire pit. Not all that great of a design. Otherwise it was a perfect camping trip.

Amazing staff at front checkout. The women there are amazingly great at their jobs. The new girl training today took the time to ask a fellow staff to make sure she did everything she could.

Beautiful park. Well maintained. Was a little disappointed we couldn't go in the mines. Will definitely go back to hike more trails and maybe camping.

Matthew Loguisto

It's great for CC skiing, awful for snowshoeing with poor signage.

This is a provincial park which brings us surprise. It's much better but cheaper than Fizroy provincial park. I would highly recommend point trail, which is about five kilometer long. It has stunning lake view, comfortable mulch on the trial, and no mosquito. Another interesting thing is that you'll see various mushrooms in this habitat area.

Jamie S

Excellent campground. Stayed here in a Tent on May long weekend. Good space between sites, good beach and hiking trails. It is also interesting historical area with an old settlement that you can see on a hike. There are also canoe in sites that we will likely try next time. Store was small, but decently stocked

Lillian King

It's nice visiting the provincial parks when they're closed you have the whole place to yourself to walk around.

Absolutely loved camping here! Incredible lake views, kayaking, wildlife, and overall experience!

Peaceful, went for a walk late one night and saw a shooting star.

Amazing park with superb plant and animal diversity

This is one of the best provincial parks I've been to, and I've been to a few. It's very remote, so no nearby traffic near the edge of the park. The park is very large, so there is a lot to see and do. Two beaches, one of which is tucked away from the main campground. We rented a canoe and did some fishing on Loon Lake. The fish were biting, and it wasn't long before I hauled in a small bass for dinner. Lots of trails to explore. A small amphitheater provided a couple nights of entertainment for the kids. Would highly recommend this camp site.

Nice clean site, well spaced. However vehicule access was a bit of a challenge, had to back in RV through a fairly narrow opening. Stuff falling from the overhead trees sounded like the rain in the night. Lovely beaches with clear, clean water. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well kept environment.

Robert Chen

Did the mine tour and it was amazing!! The staff in the gate and at the office were all super nice and helpful!

Rob Derrick

My family has been camping pretty much everywhere for the last 30 years. this year myself and 7 other women booked two sites. We kayaked the 6km loop. The two portages were very short and the one took us by the park store so of course ice cream was had. Lots of wildlife to see. turtles, deer, watersnake, and muskrat and of course the nighttime visitor the rascally raccoon. The hiking trails are well mantained and it has a sand beach for the kiddies. We did the silver queen mine tour well worth a couple of hours of your time. If you havent been to this provincial park it is worth a visit. We have a tent trailer and i will say some sites are hard to level it. Go on-line if you need a level site.

Nice park with very good trails, and a decent camper’s beach. The day beach is tiny, and they have closed the little point where the kids used to jump off the rock into the water, supposedly for rehabilitation but I have my doubts. • We didn’t run into the over-aggressive noise police, but we were there during the week and the park was lightly populated. • The counter/store staff seemed friendly, if a little inexperienced. • We were there during the Gypsy Moth catterpocalypse so that was odd, with a steady rain of leaves, tiny droppings and then the caterpillars themselves in the afternoon. • We had two spacious sites beside each other with a berm between us and the sites across the lane. There was a site right next to us on the other side, in fact out fire pit couldn’t have been more than 10 meters from theirs with no privacy or screening whatsoever but luckily that site remained unoccupied for the duration of our stay.

This park is awesome, lots of wildlife, natural environment, staff are super, helpful and well trained. You want a quiet peaceful camping experience I highly recommend Murphy’s as long as you don’t mind bugs

Sandra James

Every year we try to camp at a different camp ground, and back in 2018 we decided to try Murphy's point. My family and myself have not stopped recommending this place, as it was by far our favorite. We had an abundance of wild life encounters from two different owls landing right in front of us, to a fawn visiting us every morning for the duration of our stay. We also took a visit to the mines, and that was such a great experience for us all. Our kids were mesmerized by it. The beach was very nice and was always pretty quiet. My son also caught the biggest bass that any of us have seen (and we do a lot of fishing). We will definitely be back in the future. For anyone debating on booking with Murphy's point, do it. You will not be disappointed.

(Translated) A very quiet park. I visited at the end of August and the water in the river bend was still very clean. There are calm water bays and sandy beaches for children to play, and there are historical sites and mines nearby to explore. The management of the park is great and the lawns are neatly manicured. The service is also very good????

We spent the weekend here and the camping area and beach are wonderful. Our only issue was the wardens, in 2 night we had 2 complaint about noise. One of the nights was around 10pm, there was 4 of us talking with no music. We were told we were too loud and basically had to whisper. We were not loud at all just normal conversation. the second night the same thing and were then told we would be fined if we continued to " talk" . Through out the night they constantly came by to say we were loud, absolutely ruined the weekend. What a joke! Will not return to this site again. we used to come here with our parent and now we take our kids and wanted to continue the tradition but not anymore!

Loved it

Wonderful campground. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean, the park staff are very helpful, respectful and courteous and the park is beautiful. We love camping here in the fall. Our neighbours, unfortunately, could not calm their screaming kids and their parents spent most of the weekend yelling at them. I’m not sure they realized we could hear them very well. We’ll be back. We hope our neighbours won’t be. ????

Very beautiful place for boating, canoeing. Good Hiking trail. The big concern is mosquito. If you stand still for 10 seconds, Will be fresh meat of groups of mosquitos

Have been here a few times before, but won't be returning after our last visit. While sitting around the fire with friends chatting one evening the warden came by twice to tell us to be quiet. It was fairly early the first time, and we were merely sitting outside enjoying our campsite. After his first visit, we decided to go to sleep by 11 to avoid the ticket he threatened us with. As we were getting ready to go to sleep, he stopped by again with two other rangers and demanded we be quiet, getting quite aggressive and threatening to ticket us again. He also felt the need to call us "students," which we took to essentially be a way to talk down to us. We are all working professionals and just wanted to respectfully enjoy the campsite we had paid for for the weekend without harassment. I have worked at provincial parks and am mindful of the sometimes difficult job park wardens have- but this interaction left us confused and put a damper on our weekend. Also, the raccoons are bad.

Stayed there on the weekend on one of the group sites! Great park, nice water, friendly staff.. wasn’t bothered at all, check out the Mica mines when you are there.

Beautiful place to go too

Nice park, but camp store is very inconveniently situated and the very nice beaches are very small. Our site was advertised as "sloped," but that didn't prepare me for the gradients facing us as we tried to find a spot for our tentrailer where the stabilizer legs could actually make contact with the ground on the low end; we ended up having to use some rocks to add enough height so the legs could stabilize the trailer -- not the most secure arrangement. One additional star lost due to the horse flies and mosquitoes; my children look like they barely survived having chicken pox. Positives: great hiking trails and incredible wildlife -- both vertebrate and invertebrate varieties. The beaches were very nice and the water clean and warm. There is a wide variety of camping sites that make good use of the topography of the camping area, so there could be a site a any type of preference, if you make your reservation early enough.

One of my favorite spots to go camping in that region. The trails and "beaches" are fantastic. Everytime I go I've seen many a doe and deer!

Good camp ground for a relaxing weekend

Great little park, unfortunately with our luck we camped during a heat wave like I've never experienced before so we didn't have a opportunity to explore the whole park. We spent it time in the lake trying to stay cool. Will be coming back to explore it, especially the mine.

Nice park in a great location near the Rideau Canals. Campground and staff are very friendly and helpful. Campsites are not as private as I would like and the campground is very hilly and not level.

Mike Howe

Absolutely amazing staff. So friendly and helpful, they sure made the stay enjoyable. The grounds were well kept and had a great staff presence. Store was well stocked and has great hours. Beautiful beach. We will be back sooner than later!

2 adults. We visited on a Sunday and did the Silver Queen Mine Open House and the 6km Canoe Loop. There was sufficient parking at both activities. Silver Queen Mine Open House: This took us 30 min max. It is a nice, short walking trail to the mine. The mine itself was a little smaller than expected but neat to see. I imagine that this would be a good activity for families with kids. Canoe Loop: We rented a canoe, paddles, life jackets and an emergency kit from the store. The cost was reasonable. The canoe and supplies were good quality. We departed from the store and did the Canoe Loop clockwise. The Canoe Loop is 6km and usually takes 1.5-2h. We ended up canoeing 10.5 km and it took us 4 hours. We took our time and ventured off course intentionally a few times. There was not too much traffic in the lake. We stopped to swim at a swimming location on the map. We felt that the map itself was not well marked. It would be easy to miss a couple of the turns if we were not paying attention and relying on our GPS watch to determine how far we paddled. Be ready to portage 3 times (store to the lake, lake to lake, then lake to the store). We will definitely go back here for canoeing!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PARK! I was with my husband and 2 daughters, and singing songs by the fire for my 2 daughters quietly, it was only 8:00pm. 2 park "rangers" came up to us and yelled at us in front of my young daughters, asked us "if we were drunk" I was disgusted at them, as well as my husband, and explained to them why they were botheroing us simply keeping to ourselves, they threatened if we did not "immediately be quiet!" that they would ticket us for disturbing people., my husband and I had to dress our 2 daughters, and packed our stuff up and left the park after these 2 treated us. I will never go back to this park. I saw numerous reviews about how bad this park was for people being ticketed for simply sitting by a campfire and being ticketed, as well as people being ticketed for burning dead twigs, etc I did not think it was that serious but after visiting this park I wish I would have taken the reviews seriously, I also noticed after I got home many of the negative reviews about this park have been taken down. SO I ask GOOGLE: WHY ARE YOU TAKING NEGATIVE REVIEWS DOWN AND LEAVING ONLY POSITIVE ONES UP? I will never trust GOOGLE reviews again because it is obvious they take negative reviews down as I saw over a dozen of them, and now their are barely any. Their reviews are clearly not fair and must take any negative reviews down because the park pays for the advertising, that is disgusting and wrong. I would not doubt if they delete this post as well shortly after the park notices it. I SUGGEST TO ANYONE DO NOT GO TO THIS PARK, BECAUSE IF ANYONE COMPLAINS ON YOU THESE PARK RANGERS WILL TICKET YOU OR HARASS YOU EVEN WHEN YOU ARE DOING NOTHING WRONG!

Love this park so much!! We camped here for the 1st time over Thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful time! This park is so beautiful and the staff are fantastic!! It has several great hiking trails and 2 cute little beaches. Our site was across from the entrance to some of the hiking trails and a lovely pond. So peaceful and relaxing. We had an issue with our trailer brake and signal lights not working when we went to leave and one of the park workers called their park maintenance person to assist us. I cannot not say enough good things about Steve and the assistance he provided to us. He truly went above and beyond and fixed our trailer lights issue so we could return home safely. We can't thank him enough for what he did for us. What an amazing man! Thank you also to Phil for his assistance too! We will definitely be returning to this wonderful park next summer and are really looking forward to it! I would highly recommended this park to anyone for camping or even a day visit!! ❤

Visited this park for the first time in June. Nice private sites with lots to do within the park. Big Lake for fishing and saw a lot of people bring in some trout. We had some nice bass and pike during our 10 day stay.

Loren Pearson

Standard PP location, better than most, but requires some update to features like the trailer waste site, and some road and path features.

Madison Gardiner

Nice beaches, fully stocked parked store and spacious sites with lots of trees

Jean Noel

A camping site is not a place to PARTY overnight. Follow the Park regulations.

John Maier

We liked this park. There was a lot of room between sites. The beach was small but appropriate for the size of the park. The lake is perfect for canoeing with small children. I was pleasantly surprised.

Awesome park, with lots to see and do with such helpful and lovely staff, especially The guys in the well stocked and fairly priced park store. Will be coming back! LOVE MY NEW TSHIRT!!

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A FUN CAMPING EXPERIENCE! Just returned from what was supposed to be a three day camping trip with my girlfriend, another couple and their children. It only lasted one night. As much as the site was beautiful, the wardens were extremely invasive and nosey. They were constantly walking and checking in on our campsite. Our first Warning was to stop burning deadwood. We were told to burn what was left in the pile and to go buy wood from the store. They returned a couple hours later and said we didn't listen to their request to stop bribing deadwood and we were fined $125. They also came by twice to tell us our music was too loud and to turn it off at 11. We oblidged. In the morning two wardens came by to tell us we were being evicted from the campsite due to the previous evenings and apparently a couple of complaints against noise (sitting by the fire laughing and talking with friends). Horrible!!! No warnings about eviction before hand either. Not a place for people who are looking for "fun". It seems like the wardens have a quota to fill... Hope their Christmas party is nice. All the extra money they get from fining people who are trying to enjoy themselves....

Fantastic small beach, some sites looked really bad but ours was a good one and there were plenty of good sites. The mosquitoes were pretty bad but there were 1000s of fireflies at night that made up for it, overall will be coming back for the beach and fireflies. Also a great spot for firewood just off the main highway before you stop in.

Kevin Pearce

Beach is really nice, canoes are available on site. My particular camp spot was.. Odd. It was not well distinguished from the one adjacent. The other one wasn't in use, but if it had been it would have been awkward. Right on top of each other, not so much as a bush for seperate on. They were set up so that each cook location was within 10 ft of the others sleep location. Could have been loud and is probably not "best practice" for keeping critters away from tents. It did appear that other sites were better, and the hiking nearby was ok. I will probably go back.

Jordan Knight

Awesome place for beginner campers! Drinking water and bathrooms are clean and easily accessible. Friendly staff, and great scenery. Lots to do as well, wish we stayed longer than the weekend!

Jake

Excellent all round. Well maintained and the beaches are great for little ones to splash around at.

Meagan Greene

Very lovely park, could use a few more signs for navigating the trails, but other than that enjoyed the hikes!

My Fiance and I stayed here for 7 nights (Aug 25-Sept 1) and loved every minute of it. We try out 2 different Provincial parks every year and had nothing but good to say about this park. We were not bothered by park staff, in fact they were very friendly. The negative reviews of being ticketed for noise or bothered by Wardens was not witnessed once by us, all park staff were friendly and very helpful. The girls at the registration office made it a point to wave at you as you left the park every time (this was very nice). One of the Wardens stopped and talked with us as we were going fishing and gave us great advice where to fish in the park. The site we had was huge and we were not sitting on top of our neighbours. We will be back next year as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wow what a beautiful Park of Canada located and the Beautiful town of Perth. Latest great amenities along with awesome hiking and walking trails. Parking is wheelchair accessible as well as entrance way. The atmosphere is quite relaxed here however it is beautiful to be outside in the fresh air. Bring for yourself and Friends Are Family a late lunch with some beverages and enjoy the surroundings. Let's all try to remember to pick up after ourselves especially in the Serene untouched beautiful nature landscape. Overall great spot try to check it out today.
