REVIEWS OF Murphys Point Beach IN Perth

Fine provincial park

Melina Audet

(Translated) Many raccoons, be careful not to let anything drag ... Otherwise it was good, the showers are clean and there are several. I thought the beach was very small, and the park store was pretty far from the grounds. (Original) Beaucoup de ratons, attention de ne rien laisser trainer ... Sinon ce fut bien, les douches sont propres et il y en a plusieurs. J'ai trouvé que la plage était très petite, et que le magasin du parc était plutôt loin des terrains.

Deer wander the campground, and at dusk, hundreds of fireflies come out for a magical nightly performance. ?;-{-

Always an amazing place to visit. I have been coming here for about 30 years from a boy with his parents now a fatjer with his kids. As we always say it feels like coming home when we vome and visit.

MJ McQueen

Beautiful scenery. Family friendly.

Andrew Z

Beautiful Bay, nice tant, nice mine trip.

Andy Fyon

Trailer sites would benefit from additional leveling. Small but functional unsupervised beach. Clean and quiet. A bit expensive given there is only 30 amp hookup. Good walking trails. Fabulous signage and explanation about an old mica mine and early settlers in the area.

Henry Troup

Buoy line is now up at the main beach.

Gregory Waters

It's a really good camp ground

Philippe Tessier

Nice camping beach. Very heavily patrol by parks people. If you want a quiet camping trip then this is a good spot to go.

walid chahoua

(Translated) nice place to go camping. (Original) belle place pour faire du camping.

Andrew Foster

Was a bit busy when we were there but waters nice and its a decent location. We had the misfortune of coming here during a summer heatwave so it was gross out in the sun, and with very little shade, and most of it taken by other campers you'll overheat/ get heatstroke pretty quickly. Still worth a visit if you are staying at the park

Dave Potter

Great park! Been going for almost 30 yrs. Recommend it!

mary anne burnett

Very relaxing. Lovely warm Bay to swim in. I'm a frequent visitor there! Love it!

Colleen “Worthfightingfor” C

I preferred the smaller, quieter beach to the Main one

Glen Bird

Great place to fish, facilities aren't the best for young children.

Jim Deal

Great place to bring family and friends. Camping is also available here.

Stephen Willock

The park is great but there's a lot of racoons at night

Hossai Masroor

A really beautiful provincial park. Perhaps even the first provincial park in which I have encountered water snakes. They're not venomous ????.

Tracy Lo

Nice spot. But not so private camp sites

Rupesh Bhardwaj

Lovely place for hiking and a small little beach good for swimming with kids, have a nice place for picnic Overall a great place for family outing.

kamaludheen mtp

Best experience I've ever had after came to Canada. Pure water, somuch lots for camping. A perfect place to spend some days with your kids

Sonja Beaton

The park is always well maintained and our site this year was very private and quiet. Our nightly one raccoon visit was a few second wakeup but all in all it was nice to see a cute little annoying animal that we took pictures of and cursed at the same time.

Linda Xu

Very good place for hiking with beautiful lake's scenes

Jérémy Vachon

Awesome campground about and 1h30 from Ottawa. Still very natural, not too many big campers.

Rose Zeidan

Sunny sandy beaches, beautiful camping sites, friendly staff

Sébastien Côté

Simple and efficient provincial park, we come back a few times a year. The beach near the campground is perfect for sunbathing while the kids play in the water. This year, there seems to be a caterpillar problem as EVERYTHING in the campground is covered with them. They were literally falling from the sky onto us while we were eating or sitting by the fire... Weird cuz it's never like that... And one major, constant problem at Murphy's Point is the WET FIREWOOD. Bring your own. You're not supposed to in a provincial park, but it's a monopoly and their product is sub par. The Warden at Murphy's Point needs to look into this completely green wood problem, that comes year after year, consistantly. I'm not sure why it's like this here and no where else but the green bundles of wood will simmer on your bonfire. All in all I love this place, caterpillars, wet firewood and all!

Matt McGuire

Great park with friendly staff, only complaint is distances from water of most of the campsites, which were nicely shaded.

Daniel G

Burn your money instead of renting à lot here. Same result. "Flat lot#52" has a 20 degree incline. And loads of exposed roots. Stupid, stupid.

Francois Dubuc

Nice beach, not too crowded

Mark T

Great trails, very clean park.

Randy Parker

The staff at this park seem to be untrained and unfamiliar with their jobs which affects the enjoyment of the campers the blame for this I would put on the warden supposed to train . The police presence and the fact that the workers wear flak jackets is truly a disturbing Trend in our Ontario parks the parks are no longer enjoyable in my opinion. 100 year old dog that can't walk will still need a leash to drag its head into the dirt so as to not break the rule dogs on leash even in campsite or you can choose to put it in your car to die that is a real option in this Campground. I talked to one of the Wardens wearing a flak jacket and he expressed his disappointment that they didn't get issued guns he says he gives out fine so he should have a gun to enforce it lovely. I gave a one because the property is truly fantastic you got access to the big Rideau there's a nice mine and the tour Guy was fantastic and the tour is free. However my rating of a one is my experience in the park and my experience in the park was actually + -10 the park gets a one when actually the property received an eleven.

Scott Huntington

Maria Perez

This park has relaxation and nature all over it

Greg Paul Mault

Thoroughly enjoyed time with family in the midst of nature...

James Kelly

We camped here for 2 nights, nice campground. Well kept sites, although leaking privacy for the most part. Prices are very reasonable for extras, like wood ice... Had a blast, lots to see and do around the area. Lots and lots of millipedes and wood frogs around the site, kids we're always occupied.

Yevgeniy Shibaev

Fantastic place. Great for fishing and swimming.

Jeniffer Vieira

Small clean beach

Glenn Chenier

Nice little beaches and a good playground for the kids. Beautiful surroundings.

J. L

Beautiful beach. Clean waters.

Eric Paradis

(Translated) Beautiful little beach. The tranquility and the natural aspect of the place are the highlights. (Original) Belle petite plage. La tranquillité et l'aspect naturel du lieu en sont les points forts.

Brad Timmins

Great place to bring your family for a day outing at the beach.

Victor Ramirez

Many show

Jasmine

BEAUTIFUL!! Lots of wildlife in the park. Camping sites are all fairly spaced out and private. The main beach is perfect for spending the day swimming and playing. The waterfront is sandy with little to no weeds. Would recommend taking a canoe out on Loon Lake. Lots of trails to explore. The only complaint I had was that all the campsites were shady due to tall trees. We were looking forward to the sunshine, but it kept us nice and cool. We stayed in Ash Hill campgrounds which was a perfect location. It was a short walk to the store and a quick jaunt to the beach.

sd dj

Lovely, quiet- I liked the beach and the water.

Jason Mehrkens

Great place to camp, sites can be very small, and on uneven ground.

Bruce Gray

Thano Adam

A great provincial park.

Amanda Lloyd

My friend & I went recently on Tues October 9th, last day park was open for the season. A lovely beach & park, the sand is graded clean, view gorgeous, nice shady & sunny picnic areas plus playground, change rooms, outhouses/bathrooms. Staff were kind to let us stay a few hrs in afternoon till they left for the day since we didn't know that most campers checkout for the season by 2pm. So we basked in the unseasonably warm autumn sunshine & enjoyed a picnic packed lunch. The only drawback was we came too late in season & the water was chilling (we only had a quick dip in) plus it was very windy. Oh well, we enjoyed our time & will b back earlier & longer next yr!

Dave Harper

Most of the trailer sites have a slope. Lots of tree roots sticking out of the ground. Very friendly park staff.

Sam J

Beautiful place

Phil Lefebvre

Beach is decent, park is fantastic in terms of wildlife. We alway see deer (4 times out of 4. 12 dear this year). Watch for ticks though!

Amber Champagne

Great place. It is very quite at night, only down fall is not much sun on the campsites.

Lisa Quarrie

I did not get a chance to see other attractions that existed on the property. I will have to go back.

Marie-France Walter

Awesome camping and beach

Andrew Barkley

Great provincial park with a nice Beach and the mine tour is a must.

Doug Davison

Not interested in ever going back. Couple kids with badges ruined it for my family.

Kamel Al Zein

Amazing beach and camp

Issoufou Abba Moussa

Good for family recreation

MacArthur Millen-Jung

Very nice for putting in kayak or paddle board. The water is relatively shallow and it is sandy. There are adequate picnic tables and change facilities. The swimming space itself is relatively small. Nice modern playground nearby.

michal papo

Jean-Sebastien Goulet
