Beautiful walk. Clearly marked. Great assortment of birds and trees. Thank you to landowners who’ve allowed this access. There are felled pines as part of a regeneration process.

Great spot for a family walk. Did the short yellow trail which was perfect for younger families. Some incline and decline but not overly difficult trail. Our 3 year old daughter loved having us read the plaques about the trees and forests.

On my recent walk (Nov. 22, 2018) I was shocked and dismayed by all the arbitrary felling of pine trees on the trail. The tracks indicated the use of a big vehicle/machine which was used for a part of this destruction. Those using the vehicle drove over other trees/seedlings as if no care was taken. Why are trees being felled here when this is a trail? What kind of forest management does that model? Not only are the trees cut (some logs were layiing on the trail and blocking the walk), but I'm sure the animals were disturbed as well. There were young trees cut as well as older ones. What are we doing to our planet? Can we not try to care so that we honour the life that sustains us? Trees are life givers and as they go, so do we. Habitat for wildlife is decreasing due to development. This area is beautiful. Let's honour what we have and live in harmony with with it.
