This was a great place for a quick stop to enjoy the view and stretch our legs walking on the paved pathways. There’s a small park area for children with swings and such. There’s even a sandy beach area.

Beautiful place for kids! Nice park and splash pad and the beach is there as well, so many options. Will be going back for sure! Would recommend getting there early if u want a spot on beach or just to picnic as it was pretty packed.

A very nice place for young families to spend a day. A small playground, a walking path, and a small lakefront beach, it's perfect for taking the kids to play. It gets pretty busy during the warmer months, and has limited parking.

Great spot to hang out with family. Tends to be a little busy during summer days...there is playground for kids, a park, and sprinklers for hydrations. The shoreline is not long but the view overlooking the lake is worth it. Morning hours are the best for a visit.

Visited on warm sunny day of November 9th 2020. Views of the lake are good. The part I visited is just across from residential neighborhood thats about 50 feet above lake level with no fence etc. So be careful when visiting, especially so for kids.

This is an excellent park for kids and their parents. The play area has good variety and the lake is right there to visit. Kids love to play with the rocks at the beach area.

It's a good place to park to eat homemade sandwiches while we waited for a nearby store to prepare our shopping order. It was a bit crowded. The one thing that surprised me was the lack of masks in the play area.

Lovely place to enjoy the lake. Perfect for kids as it has a new playground and a huge splash pad in the summer. There is a washroom, but its often closed. There is a covered gazebo, which is useful if it starts raining. Lots of parking space available. One can get on the Waterfront Trail from here.

This place is pretty cool for kids and adults. The water splash is a great entertainment for kids and there is no beach but one can experience cool breeze of lake. Do not worry about parking you do not need to reserve a place.

This is a great park for young kids. We have been going here from 6 years. It has a great blend of playground equipment, splash pad activities and grass for picnicking. As the kids got older they also love playing around the water front. Having a flush toilet (closed for COVID) on site is great too!

Beautiful place. There a big park and splash pad for the kids, plenty of space for picnics and you cant beat the beautiful, calming view of the water. There is public washrooms as well and the while park is very well maintained. Highly recommended if you're ever in bowmanville

We Loved our time at this park. There is a kids water paly area too. Kids surely enjoy their time. This is not a big park and I would say it's good for short visit. Not recommended for long picnic hours. The water view from the park is amazing.

Beautiful place. Splash pads for kids and play area. Good place for families with kids. No really a beach there, rocky beach side so you can't really enjoy the beach part. Parking is limited, come early if you want a spot. Alternatively you can just park on the grass on the opposite side of the parking.

First time going to Port darlington. The kids had a blast at the splash pad . There was also a park and and picnic benches. The water front was quiet and clean. Great place for spending the day at the beach.

This is a very nice park. In the summer the water portion is well received by kids and adults alike. The beach is small and when cleaned of the floating sticks it is nice. Every time I visit this location people from all over Durham and into Scarborough seem to be there so it is recognized as a good spot for the family.

It's a nice spot. It has a really small beach. A really nice splash pad, and park with a gazebo and picnic benches. You need to check the water report before swimming. There are public restrooms that were clean. Nice spot to spend the day.
