Its a huge park close to oakville lakeshore. There are 2 different parking lot one is south shell park which is along lakeshore. Finding parking here is difficult. Northern shell park has a huge parking lot where one can park and walk towards lakeshore. The park is children friendly with a dedicated play area. They also have a dog park. Bring a blanket and some packed food to enjoy picnic.

Of course I will give it five star, you kidding me? Anything less for this park would not be fair. I always go there to walk my dog and do nature photography, lots of birds around. Rose garden in the season is awesome. Leash free park is a great of addition, I have been using this park since 2004 when Lakeshorewoods was developed phase-1. Doesn't matter what season, a good park to spend time in.

Great space for a dog park, lots of room for them to run. It could use some work on the grass, either seeding or re-sodding because when it rains or when the snow melts, it is an absolute mud pit. Dog owners really need to be more respectful about cleaning up after their animals

Shell park has a little bit of everything. A dog park ( or at least that's what it looked like Sunday morning separated from everyone else by a parking lot. A skate park that both younger kids and average teenager/adults would enjoy, a playground with swings ( only stairs for the actual equipment no ramps) a highly manicured flower garden in the summer, 2 picnic benches, and a more open area with a small trail by a creek. A perfect place if you want to be cooler because you are closer to the waterfront without the high winds. A good amount of parking and lots of benches. It's one of our family's favorites

Dog park always has friendly people and non-aggressive dogs in the leash free area. Sometimes the local animal control hangs out in the soccer parking lot waiting to observe by-law infractions. Obey the simple by-laws and this is the dog park for you if you're from the area or just passing through. Sometimes the Skate/Scooter/BMX park can be a little busy but the majority of the occupants are harmless and respectful just out to enjoy the park like you.

My dog is a fan of this park. The minute we turn round the corner she knows she's in for a treat. People are friendly, the park is clean and your fur baby is gonna be as happy as he/she can get. There's a walking path along the perimeter of the park for you to enjoy your walks.

Love this park! Well maintained, beautiful landscaping with an Americana garden featuring local plants as you enter the park . We come from Burlington for the dog park, which is our favorite in the area. There's poop bag stations around the fences, a wind shelter, plenty of seating and in the summer there's running water available for the dogs. Awesome place!

We always enjoy our time here. The kids can use the skate park with their skateboards or scooters or visit the park with the play structure. There's also a beautiful garden next to it which is filled with butterflies in summer. There's a dog free leash area as well as tennis courts and soccer fields and trails.

Eddie had spring fever and needed to get out and socialize with friends so we took him to one of the best leash free parks anywhere. It's large and well maintained by the volunteers. There is something for everybody at Shell Park, play grounds, skate park, flower gardens and plenty of space to enjoy nature and picnic.

Skate park, Play ground, lots of parking, well kept gardens, however the ash purge hit the surrounding forest hard, garbage cans, water fountains... proper things a park should have, not much missing. Careful biking through, you might bump into a slow car. Speed limit at 10, narrow bridge. People can be jerks and might not let you pass.

Lots of dogs here all the time, which is great. There isn't much otherwise and it is a very dusty park. There is more dust and mulch than grass and it is not always the cleanest. That said, it is a dog park and one should expect to get dirty - Where's the fun otherwise?

Pretty great experience my pup loved it there it was his first time in a dog park. There is a smaller park with swings and slides for kids as well as an area to skateboard. They also have a huge patch of grassland where we all played frisbee too.

Great off leash dog area, but a few really neglectful dog owners. I once couldn't get into the park in because a dog was so ferociously barking at us waiting at the gate to get in. Owner did nothing other owners did nothing, had to leave after a while. Also had groups of owners too busy talking to address the fact their dogs were as a pack acting aggressively to me and my small dog. Walked away without our ball. Otherwise it can be a great place to go off leash and consider being a member.

Great dog park where you can let your dogs go leash free. The dogs love playing together and there’s a hose with water access too and picnic tables to sit on.

A place for relaxation. Nice flower displays, wide green areas, but need to bring own chair or blankets. It has an unleash pet section, a soccer field. No public BBQ grill there.
