This Tourist Attraction is classified in the category of Park.
It's a nice park with lots of mature trees, although there's not exactly a loop to bring you back where you started. But the pellet beach is nice and barely knee deep, my dog had a good time there. There's no commodities on this trail, it could use a SaniVac washroom. There's a lot of shades and mountain bike trails also. I parked nearby a residential area to access the trail because I couldn't if there was a parking entrance to the park..
Beautiful park, main parking lot can be packed sometimes, however u can find parking around but you'd have to know the area. Unfortunately I don't, so I can't help u, but my GPS usually helps me find a spot. So many hiking spots, has a perfect little playground. Beautiful in fall for a hike and pictures it's definitely a must visit!
Very picturesque with plenty of foliage and ideal for running, cycling or walking but note, excessive crowds with very limited parking. Optional alternative parking lots & street parking. For the crowds alone, would defer until off season and/or weekends.
Ok hike but not too exciting as a scenery now..maybe during the summer looks better.
Very nice place for an afternoon picnic. Not so crowded with available parking.
Got parking ultimately, roam around for few minutes, but park is beautiful in fall, have some small trails, small bridges, loved it
Good place to hike during Fall. A 7km loop if you didn't explore any other side trails. The trail entrance in Fourth line might not be too obvious for some, it is found in this GPS coordinates 43°27'22.4"N 79°44'57.1"W, you have to cross a road guardrail for that entrance. The metal staircase is on the upper left of the trail course map I posted, so if you hike into that direction first, you will see it sooner which might have better photography views for your liking. #hikelife #oakville.
Only reason I give this park a 4⭐ is because a whole portion of it is closed for construction. They will be building a bridge according to a construction worker but he didn't have a time-line. Otherwise, this park is fabulous, an oasis in Oakville! Great for a hike, a wee bit short for a bike ride, but wonderful to be in nature so close to the city. Being inside the quiet, picturesque ravine really makes you forget about the outside world. The wildlife is super cool and we even saw a beaver!!! How cool.
I liked it. Nothing fancy. I heard so much about it so I went last weekend, it’s okay, I’ve seen much better trails and parks.
Here is under construction for some places but you can see other places. Huge spores of dandelion are spread in the field. As well as you need to wear long sleeve T-shirt. The tick could bite you. It bit my left wrist.
nice park for family gathering and walks. Grassy grounds are great for children's play place. Nice hiking trail for friends and family walk or cardio for enthusiasts.
It's a beautiful trail. Not so long but you can enjoy the sunset. Not too crowded either.
A fantastic park in the middle of the city! Totally recommend it for everyone who wants to escape the noise
Park underneath to the lower parking lot or across the street to walk down. You can hike many KM. For directions look on your google map trails that connect
Beautiful trails, no garbage cans so prepare to carry your trash during the hike.
Great park, but unfortunately no barbeque allowed.
**Beware Theft** at Lions Valley Park Lost my son's bicycle on June 12 2021. He was fishing with his brother just about 30 to 40 ft away. The bicycle was parked by a nearby bush. Beware of other park goers, who decide to misplace or possibly steal. Lost a fishing rod, last year. Many things going missing, if left unattended. Quite surprising, a safe place turns out to be place where you can't let your guard down. Great trails. Good place to relax with friends and family.
Hidden gem. Small play area. Lovely trail on east bank heading south from parking lot under bridge. Flat trail until stairs. Climb stairs for views and then head back. ~45 minutes
It was ok, not insane or amazing, just a decent trail with a nice river to sit by and have lunch whilst sitting on rocks
I like to hike there sometimes. I love it. Its proximity to main roads makes it very accessible.
Beautiful park in a nice valley. The park is quite huge than expected. It has good picnic areas for enjoyment and relaxation for hours. They have good hiking trails with signage posted at intervals. There are few benches facing the water which feels good and peaceful. The parking is free but it's bit difficult to find one if visiting during weekends. The park is well maintained and clean.
Amazing hiking trails in the heart of the city that feel like you are in the wilderness.
Amazing space with lots of walking/hiking/biking trails. Incredibly scenic with Sixteen Mile Creek running through. Also has a playground for kids, wooden stairs, parking, and picnic areas.
Hidden gem, literally! Lots of parking, a great playground with built in training obstacles, shaded paths that are bike/stroller accessible and water access for wading and fishing. Great place to spend time enjoying the outdoors!
Beautiful park! Love coming here on hikes and runs
Fantastic park encompassing the Sixteen Mile Creek, with well-managed walking trails all around and amazing scenery, this is an amazing park to walk, run, bike, and relax.
Really like this park for a good walk - especially gorgeous in the fall months! It can get very overcrowded though.
Great walk on the upper part around the park. Lots of snow! Very pretty with the snow covering.
Pleasant walking along the river and amazing views of leaves of November.
Great park - easy trails. Good for hiking, walking your dog and some easy cycling
Beautiful large park and trails. Great for picnics as they have BBQ and benches. Playgrounds for kids and accessible washrooms. Creek runs along the trail with some shallow areas. Park is good for dog walking or riding bikes. Beautiful scenery and the path is mostly gravel.
Great place to spend the day walking a trail.
Peaceful green park where you could enjoy a fantastic day with family/friends. BBQs are available, just bring in your coals, food and do your own lunch.
Great trail to check out in the middle of the city. Unexpectedly quiet and secluded for an out of city feel. It's very popular with cyclists as well so be prepared to give way at busy times if you prefer to do a stroll instead of biking. There is an adorable hidden pond covered with algae that looks like something from a disney movie. Definitely worth a visit and a great picture spot! As the main parking gets packed pretty quickly, going to one of the hidden parking spots is good. I parked at the address I'm sharing below. It doesn't have designated parking spots but has immediate access to trail. 2477 Fourth Line, Oakville, ON
It is very beautiful both in winters and summers. You can go for trails and long walk. There is good open area in which people can play games, do barbecue and kids can play in the small park.
It is a nice park in the middle of Oakville. It has also river flowing through the park. But it is hard to find parking there in the busy time.
Our main point of destination on weekends and family walks. Great place for biking, hiking, walking, and connecting with nature. Great fishing place. In the fall we with kids watched the salmon swim against the current. What I absolutely love about the place is old tall trees that give a lot of shade. If you love sunrise walks - this is a place to go, the trails look like you are inside the Lord of the Rings movie.
This park never lets you down. Enough big to spend time leisurely and not that big which makes you exhausted. Visited the same in all seasons. Free parking. Multiple entries/exits. Mostly covered in shades. Broad trails. Mix of ups and downs. Shallow water. Gateway park in the city.
Beautiful park I’m the middle of Oakville. Plenty of parking space, lots of benches to rest, children playground and picnic areas. Great place for a walk, taking a break from busy city life, run or taking pictures in nature. Now it’s perfect time to capture fall colours!
Quite busy but lots of room to spread out and enjoy the beautiful scenery
If you're looking for a nice getaway from Oakvile, you don't have to go too far. This park is wonderful. The trail is about 2 hours of walking with a stroll along side the river. There are cool signs to read along the way and lovely views of nature. Tucked away and hidden in a little valley, you really get the sense that you're not in the city. Great place to walk your dog and enjoy time with your family. The trail isn't challenging but there are some stairs to climb along the way FYI
Trails, stairs and ramps. Perfect for a walk, jog, hike, biking and if you have a dog is perfect... parking lot with washrooms
Love the place. It's just super rad and peaceful
Beautiful park with lots of hiking trails in different directions. I tends to be creepy in some spots, I do recommend a hiking buddy and if you're heading into the hills, wear proper hiking shoes, due to landslides the trails can be tricky. I just started doing daily exercise there, great spot with shaded areas for relaxation and reading. Highly recommend!
Went there to see the salmon run. Water level was too high to make out much. Plus with the construction going on most of the park around the park was off-limits to the public. The fall colours may be spectacular though in a month or so.
Beautiful place to visit especially in fall. Parking is free but usually full on weekends in fall season and in summer, weekdays are best to visit as you get the parking. Ravine is als nice to watch. You can have picnic with family and friends as there are lots of picnic tables and places, tracks are also nice and scenic. I recommend this place
beautiful park with the river and ravines to walk around hill. Can be very hilly, so great exercise as well.
To my surprise, this is really big and well maintained. The remains of the old bridge and the structure of the new ine make it interesting. The trail into the woods is beautiful with tall tress and a creek.
A beautiful park that's bigger than expected. Along a nice river with tons of hiking trails. They have a playground area for kids. I've seen some people.fishing here as well. Best part about this park is the views, you'll see some cliff edges with red sedimentary layers.
Fantastic park for hiking close to home. Moccasin Trail is easy if you stick to the main path, but has some steep interesting sections and wonderful vistas. Our favourite in the area. Be aware that there are some significant stairs if you choose to climb them. Parking lot is on the north side of Dundas but you access it from the south side and loop under the Dundas bridge. TIP: Parking lot can get full quickly, but you can always park on a side street and walk in on a side trail but it's a steep walk.
Nice to have such a place in Oakville. We are lucky.
Beautiful cliffs and natural setting. Great walkways for hiking.
Excellent trail. Provide hours of enjoyment. With lookouts and nice elevations. Many off paths you can follow. They have playground and some benches at near the main entrance.
The view over the Dundas Bridge is great. It is limited free parking. Need to be patient and wait for a spot.
A beautiful, natural spot. You can circle your way through the valley going up and down twice in about 1.5 hours at a good pace. There's stairs, paved and natural "ramps". The paths are mixed as well and parts of it can be messy after some rain. Well treed and protected from the wind on a windy day. So nice in all seasons.
Very easy walk trail. Most of the roads are gravel with Not too many steps. Perfect for family and friends with different level of hiking skills. If you don't mind to carry your bike down for the steps, you can also bike here as well.
Amazing park, one of the best in Oakville or even all in Halton. Good for hiking and biking. In most area it's four to five degree less than outside. Must-visit icon.
Small parking lot... but a beautiful park with trails that winds around the whole park

Nice trails to walk on, however parking is very limited and if someone has rented out a shelter for an event, it's difficult to find parking.
Amazing park with beautiful scenery. The best part is that its in the middle of Oakville :) a must visit place during the fall season ????????????
Very nice trail. There is on going construction so not all the trails are accessible. Trails are very nice especially the one going up the hill. Parking is a bit small.
Most amazing and super-natural. It is a lovely trail with ups and downs, walk by the river and a beautiful forest. It really comes to life in fall. It is now the salmon run season and seeing fishes swiming upstream is amazing.
This is an unbelievable little park right in the middle of a busy and congested area. The sixteen mile creek cuts right across the park and it provides a wonderful setting for a day hike all year round. Depending on where you enter the park - you could end up hiking 5 km, or 7 km, or 10 km. The standard loop around the park (when you enter from Neyagawa) is 7 km. In the winter months you will need crampons to navigate the hills and the pathways because of the buildup of ice and snow.
Our new most favorite local hiking place. This park is not only well kept but has stunning panoramic views. Nature abounds everywhere and if you are respectful and quiet you'll see it. The trails are endless and whether you're looking for an easy pace or more challenging route with vertical climbs and lush valley this place has it all! I also liked the fact that every dog we encountered was onleash...something we've found isn't always enforced or respected.
A hidden gem right in the middle most livable city of Canada. Very good for biking and hiking, along the creek. They are currently building a new creek-crossing bridge and new trail. Not sure of the master plan, but should make it even better
Amazing trail for a long walk or bike ride. I love hiking up the hilll to get to the top. Recommend to family and friends if you're looking for a burn or just out having a great family day!
Beautiful park for a hike even in March. Path is clear and easy to navigate. Some elevation so it's a pretty good work out. Almost 1.5-1.75 hrs to complete the loop. Lots of parking.
A big park with free parking n mobile toilet facility. Beautiful scenery. The 16 mile creek trail loop is a scenic trail. The top of the stair can view the entire river and landscape. Several salmons also found there. Interesting hike.
Surprisingly nice park! Beautiful maple trees, decent shade, nice track down to lower lever which has a lot of ferns, all in all, great for walking and biking
