Walking alone the bronte creek on a sunny afternoon is an amazing relax. Trees at both sides of the creek are just the right color. Unfortunately I still can not find the proper site to picture them.
Fairy house hunting is the best part for all young kids. And a unbeatable view from the hill!
The park is really well maintained. Entry fee is $19.95. I am not sure if the management should consider decreasing the fee as access to the antique homes, camping and a few other activities are not allowed due to Covid.
Great park! Loved all the hiking trails, huge park with lots of different things to see and do! Wish the park could figure out some sort of foot bridge/trail so you didn't have to drive to the day use part.
Nice campsites. Priced fairly. Enough privacy. Just too close to some houses so that might not feel like "real camping". But if you have access to a bathroom, hot water and all that, its all not real camping anyway.
Simply breathtaking. 10 Stars. First time at Bronte Creek Provincial Park and I couldn't get enough of the park. Up one trail down another and the views simply amazing. Every path and every trail truly outstanding. Take a map of the area or use Google maps to get the best views of every area. The Ravine outlook, the trails down to Bronte Creek worth the trip. Great for all ages, hikers, runners, bikes. Even animals to see, goats, chickens, rabbits, peacock. Dogs allowed but must be kept on a leash and our little pup was amazed seeing the animals. Never ever seen rabbits or chickens. You won't be disappointed by this park. I will return as I'm sure I overlooked 80% of the sights and we spent 3 hours walking. You will find really nice playground parks for the kids and nice equipment. Wood burning fire stoves that remind me of an open home fireplace. Not to be missed this park is truly amazing.
Fantastic provincial park nestled in the middle of Oakville. An easy get away for city dwellers. Some sites are wide open and others and secluded. The staff at the front gate is very friendly and informative. Washroom facilities were amazingly clean.
The park is massive & in the middle of the city! Gigantic pool, small petting zoo, a Victorian house to xplore (all closed due to covid). Large off leash dog park. Flush toilets & drinkable water throughout the park. Plenty of parking. Crowds, place is too big. You can be on your own. Lots of trails & the creek to explore. Only downside, they close @ 9pm.
There's a lot to do here which makes the park a perfect spot for a day trip or even an extended camping stay. There's several large parking areas spread throughout the park which is super convenient. I like the snowshoe trails in the winter and the disc golf course the rest of the year. The toboggan hill and pool are nice features as well. Check out the maple syrup festival in March!
4.5 star. Lots to see and do. High quality, but misses being a 5, just because its vast offerings aren't all perfect. Needs a complete day to be fully explored. Kids enjoyed the few animals that were accessible in the farm. Sheep, rabbits, cows and peacock. Hopped through its different parking lots to finally reach the stunning creekside trail, with its beautiful hanging trees. We went from Lot F to Lot A. The grass was better around F, than A. Spotted a few BBQs here and there, although Doug Ford hadn't allowed them yet. Friendly park staff. Washrooms were very well maintained. Giving it the full 5 stars to show my appreciation for the same.
Good place for picnic and camping. Lots of trails for evening walks. Some attractions were closed because of Covid-19. $18 entry fee per car. Worth visiting with family and group of friends.
Super duper camping experience. Real clean washrooms and sites. No bugs the day we went. $54 for parking for campground (1 night). Go early so you can enjoy longer.
Good park for picnic. Nice view and walking trails. Kids enjoyed the barn with farm animals.
We stayed for the night. It was a great experience to be with nature. They were patrolling at intervals in case anyone needed any help.Appreciate that. Each camp ground had running water tap and (hydro)charging station. Common restrooms were equipped with showers for men/women and a coin laundry. Play area for children, walking/cycling trails.
There are now leaves of various colours in this park. A good place to walk lightly! 18$ entry fee per car, but all of attractions are closed!
Well maintained, lots to do for kids, nice walking trails for strollers.
This park is one of my favorite places to go to enjoy the scenery and relax with my family. As an avid bird watcher I've seen many different types of birds that you just usually don't see anywhere else. There are plenty of great photo opportunities along the well-groomed walking and hiking trails.
My family has been camping in Bronte Creek camp ground for many years. It's a nice camp ground with clean washroom and shower. The only thing I don't like is new houses keep building around that area....
Amazing park to go on a nice trekking trip, very quiet on the walking trails, i did almost 8.5 km and we didn't finish all park during our walk, you get to part with nice river. I like it some areas free leash for the dogs to have lots of fun. Very clean camping areas. very nice to spend camping night or just to go for the day.
Nice place and nice scenery! Didn't expect to pay. But its $17 per car! Beautiful mountain bike trails and hiking trails! Some are intermediate and some are advanced! The place is a beauty and it has a nice farm to visit that shows the life of old farmers. Great for kids.
During the Covid season a few of the amenities were closed, but the parking price remained the same. With that being said, the park is large and very clean, with plenty of parking and picnic tables available. The washrooms were extremely clean and all the park rangers were very professional and polite.
Although there are limited things to do at this park (e.g. no beach), it is a nice park for a getaway. Located in an urban setting, it still has that back-to-nature feel. There are a variety of campsites many with good size and privacy.
We are absolutely happy to live near this park. At any time of the year, this is a great place for walking or cycling. Our son loves to feed pets on a small farm. Wonderful friendly staff.
Very nice and quite park with lots of trails also in the middle of the city. Go early and enjoy. There are lots of trails but the only problem is there is not quite alot of maps/ direction in the park so always carry a map..
Fun place to hike even in winters and amidst snowy weather... There's a hill for snow sledding, a farm that has cows, sheep and turkey to keep the little ones busy and amused.
Great hiking trails, campgrounds, farm, and pool. Pool is not open because of covid
What a terrific place too take your dogs. I went with my mother today and we took each of our dogs. We passed by several people including many other dogs as well. There are numerous routes, paths and space for incredible exercise to take the energy out on your pup. I would like to warn the public that on some parts of some of the trails there are steep cliffs dropping well over a hundred feet into the 16 mile creek. I wouldn’t be keen on bringing young children whom aren’t good listeners on these specific trails. Aside from the warning which might scare people off, it shouldn’t, be smart, be careful and do your due diligence as a pet owner and get off the couch and take your incredible pet for the fun and exercise that it deserves.
Great scenic place, very clean washrooms, a slide few swings. This is mainly great for trailing, cycling etc. There is a great picnic spot (picnic shelters), BBQ is allowed. Entry parking fees is 18 CAD per car for the full day for all family.
We were here on Saturday, for those wondering with all this COVID-19 here is some info. The entrance fee was $18, we went to parking lot c which there was nobody there. The 6 washrooms that are in parking lot c had only 2 open one on each side. The barn and playgrounds were all closed. The pool wasn’t open either. Most of the picnic tables were all stacked against each other but there were a few on the floor spread out for people to use. Also the entrance closes at 6pm, the washrooms and gate close at 8pm. Update: just wanted to update and add some pictures. I just recently found out they have a gnome and fairy house trail. How cute is that! You can find the trail by going to the bunny coop and there will be a sign pointing in the direction the gnome road will be. Here a pictures of the houses we found
Back to nature. Great place for kids. Farm animals to see are a treat! Trails are great. Easy to move. Dog park is good.
Awesome place to spend the day with families and friends. Animals are there you can feed to them, take trail walks or just chill by the playground. Went on a trail filled with fairy houses, gnomes, and cute burd houses..cool place for kids
Unfortunately when we went in the winter, all the trails were completely iced over and were not maintained at all. It was like we were skating the whole time ???? We were very disappointed the trails were not maintained, considering we paid $18 just to get in. We also didn’t find any great lookout points either (the one lookout we came across had large branches blocking the view)
Overall I recommend! + pretty place, recommend the lookout trail! + leash free dog trail and park + public transport accessible, otherwise parking $20~ + large park so I doubt it’ll ever get too crowded - the map seemed useless at the entrance, I saw number postings in the park, but no numbers on the map. Please update the map of the park! - once you come to one side of the park (south let’s say), you can’t walk to the north because of the river you have to walk all the way out.
Has some great elevations for your hike. Love the trail area where there are different types of bird houses scattered all over. My daughter loved pointing them out and remembers them from this hiking trip.
They charge full admission fee for NO available activities. Other than using the hill !! Not sure why there is a charge to admit the park in winter season. They don't even have the washrooms open , we had to leave the park to take the kids to the washroom. I believe it's a big waste of money going to bronte park in winter ..
Great park in my neighbourhood! It’s really good to see fall leaves! Don’t miss your chance!
Cute and small provincial park. One of the best places to go fishing around the cities. Great place to go for a day trip. Could certainly be improved with an increase in the quality of water in the area. Also a fun place to bring your dog to. This park would be much better if it were expanded and efforts were made to rewild the area.
Love going to this park! Trails are well maintained and so beautiful and peaceful! Love their farm house and the barn. Very kids friendly. Maple syrup festival there is definitely worth a visit! So much fun for the whole family. Pancakes are delicious!
We went to the park today (fourth time here since the pandemic hit) and today was the first time we went to the leash free section. When I first got to this section I just saw the field and was like ???? but then I noticed the boundary signs and realized it was actually a very good size and followed a decent size of trails for the pouches to run around. The pictures I added are from a sitting area to the right of the entrance which was a good area for us to feed our daughter and let the dogs play with sticks. The park itself is nice and offers a great deal of trails, sightseeing (farm animals, hill you can climb off of lot C with a 360 degree view, and others), and a park for the children to play on. The only thing I wish was that there was more trash cans (or people weren’t lazy and left their garbage everywhere) and some areas for dogs to get water.
This park is amazing for biking in summers. It's so so big. Almost 4kms from entry to parking F and then there's so much to see and roam around on your bike. You can also walk and run if you want but due to the uneven surface I would prefer only biking/walking. Amazing creek where you can also catch some fishes. A must go place for summers.
Weather was bad but site was good. No major puddles even though there was heavy rain. Nice BBQ area and good sturdy benches with table.
Pool has a gradual incline which is great for little swimmers. They can wade and play along the end of the pool and can gradually walk into the water. It’s a little bit of a walk to pool once you park car so I recommend bringing a wagon to carry all your stuff. Lots of green space and picnic tables so pack a picnic lunch! There is also a barn with animals for the kids to look at
Beautiful place, there is an off leash area, but it wasn’t very we’ll signed so we just kept our dog unleash and all was good, she is very well trained so we didn’t have any issues, also there was not a lot of people, but it looks like during the summer there will be. The parking is 18$ but very worth it, the place is very well maintained. Washrooms everywhere, many picnics tables. We spotted a few deer and eagles!!
Great place to hike especially for novice hikers since it is mainly plain. Just be careful on some icy patches along the way on some trails. They have a nice, big hill for sledding/tobogganing. It is a huge place so you won’t be able to get to all trails in a day. $18 for a vehicle to get in if you don’t have the Ontario Parks annual pass. The kids loved seeing the farm animals.
Great park. spacious with plenty of benches. BBQ is allowed. We brought our own one and had a great time. Most of the benches are in the vicinity of a tree, which makes even the hottest day bearable. We found a hidden entrance to the creek in the ravine. It was the perfect ending of the day wading in the cool water and skipping stones.
Wonderful Provincial park close to the city. There is a Gnome Road where there are many decorated bird houses and fairy houses along the trail. There is also a barn area where you will find sheeps, turkeys, free run chickens and cows. Bring some quarters if you want to buy some animal food from the vending machine. There is also a 5 km loop gravel trail for biking with almost no traffic (occasionally a park vehicle will be on the trail).
I use the leash free area off Burloak, I enjoy it very much. The only reason I haven't given the park a 5 star rating is because I can't walk my dog on the upper middle side as there are so many bicycles to contend with. I do wish the park would reward folks who've purchased a yearly/seasonal pass by telling cyclists (who just ride into the park free of charge) they must walk their bikes through the leash free area. The day is area is really nice and fun for young families. The camp ground is pretty nice as well.
Hiking through this park feels like an adventure. You get a map at the front gates, and you're free to explore everything from sprawling fields to serene forest to picturesque ravines. I would definitely recommend visiting here at least once. And if you haven't already, check out Gnome Road near Parking Lot C - you won't regret it!
Scenic trails and lush greenery! Unique ravine lookout with gorgeous views downstream and across the hills. Park is well maintained and the grounds and easy to navigate. You may ask for a map at the entry, which is a paid fee. Hiking is a must! There is an animals garden short distance within the park! Enjoy it on a sunny day with snacks at hand!
Nice park with few trails and good maintained day use area
