Great beach
Not huge, but a nice Beach and they fixed the parking lot up pretty good.
Great fun
Beautiful small sandy beach of Nova Scotia. A nice spot to stop and relax.
Always a great spot to play in the waves. Lots of great spots to eat within a few minutes drive
The best is the view of this beach. It’s so beautiful and scenic.
Great place, water was so cold for July. People are very friendly
Great sand beach, easy access parking, change rooms, and washrooms very close. When we went the water was 20°C
Best of best
I was quite surprised by this beach. I read so many reviews and got recommend by so many people because of how "kid friendly" and stuff it is..well I was SHOCKED to find it's just a 5 foot wide spot on the side of the road! I was worried with my dogs there and I couldn't imagine when it's busy trying to juggle the kids with barely any beach to actually play on. Everyone is right on top of one abothe with no where to move. Now the water was warm if you were going with no kids or dogs to jump in for a dip .. but that's really my only positive to say.
Simply beautifuland peaceful
Beautiful sun and little sand. Mostly rocks now as most of the sandy beach has been washed away from the waves.
A great place to walk with our dog.
Awesome
Not much room on beach, very close to road
Favorite beach in the hrm
Loved it
Nice really pretty but packed!
I was shocked to see the damage done to the road after the last rain storm. The road is not passable. Hopefully repairs will soon be done. This was always a wonderful place to visit NO matter what season.
Still warm enough for kids to swim on Oct. 10th
Beautiful
Fantastic sandy beach at low tide
One of my favorite beaches in HFX. A lot of people don't like the cold water but I have a rule that if I go there no matter how cold the water is I have to go in the water atleast once before I leave! Great sand and views....of the ocean!!
Always loved this beach. Small and quaint. Sometimes can be a bit crowded but lots of room. Beautiful beach to walk on. Not too far of a drive from the city and such a scenic drive. Facilities, clean beach. Nice waves, great for all ages.
Great beach and swimming
Not suitable for young children, waves rush in. But fantastic beach. Weather eroded the parking for summer 2018 + being repaired.
Visited in the fall for a relaxing stop. Very picturesque.
The road is still destroyed. Doesn't look like it'll be fixed anytime soon. We had such a mild winter and spring. The Gov't had plenty of time to fix it before summer
Beautiful Beech..
Nice beach . Lots of people go there on nice days
I love the beach
nice beach, wasn't too busy in the summer and the parking lot is very close to the beach on the opposite side of the road.
Such a beautiful beach!
Beautiful , clean
Fantastic beach, can't go wrong spending time here.
Awesome!
Beautiful as always during the winter
Nice quiet beach. Somewhat on the small side though.
Fantastic. A WARM salt water beach. I love it here.
Pretty beach.
Great white beach
Awesome for Nov.28
it was great water was surprised warm had a great swim! It had just rained and there was hardly anyone there.
Great beach
Warm ocean. Easy parking. Change rooms. 20 minutes from Halifax
Great beach. Buff said.
Very busy. Hard to find parking on very hot days. Beach can be so hard to find a spot to sit. But a nice view. Been coming here since I was a kid.
Beautiful beach. Very quiet most of the time some traffic noises.
One of Halifax's Gems
See the winter storm damage.
Great beach and only 30 minutes to Halifax
Great beach, clean and a short walk from vehicle to the beach.
This is our favorite swimming beach. Beautiful sunsets too!
Beautiful ????
Is not the best beach but you can have a good time in a sunny and warm day with the family and friends
Lovely beach close to HRM
Absolutely gorgeous! It will be amazing in summer.
It was good and enjoyed it.
Parking is crazy on a busy Natal Day. Go when the tide is out, more beach then.
Found lots of beach glass????????
Great beach! Lots of sand but water is cold which isn't unexpected for being on the shore. Arrived just after 10 but started to get busy by 12.
Too early to tell.
Beautiful beach. Nice fine white sand. Fairly close to Halifax.
Beautiful and just what you need if you're looking for a scenic walk.
I LOVE the beach. Queensland is great. Lots of white sand, waves, large parking lot area
So gorgeous in the evening. Chill waters, lots of rocks
Went in Off Season, October, but the beach was beautifully kept with lovely soft sand. Kids loved running around, digging holes and chasing waves. Great little hidden gem.
Great place to go and relax and watch the waves.
Outstanding... Beautiful even in January
Beautiful but can get crowded
Our favourite beach in the province
Great beach close to Halifax!
Beautiful quiet place
So beautiful....plenty of parking and restrooms.
Cool water on a hot day. Can't go wrong.
Always a good idea to go to Queensland Beach but just a little farther down the road is Cleveland beach which is not crowded and equally as beautiful.
Beautiful beach with lots of sand to walk or play.
No upkeep. A once beautiful beautiful beach has been diminished to a pull over and get busy spot.
Super close to Halifax beach
Wonderful place for family. It's a small beach but beautiful.
A beautiful 800m long white sand beach located on the St. Margaret's Bay on Nova Scotia's South Shore, Queensland Beach offers warm water, soft sand, parking beach side and basic amenities (change rooms, lifeguards and put privy washrooms) for a perfect family friendly beach day only 30 minutes from downtown Halifax!
(Translated) Big bay, not deep, very convenient access. (Original) Голям залив, не е дълбоко, много удобен достъп.
Great beach! Highly recommended checking out the ocean while you're here.
(Translated) Peaceful and clean place with toilets. Peaceful and clean place with washroom available. (Original) Endroit paisible et propre avec toilettes. Peaceful and clean place with washroom available.
The new parking lot is really well done after the damage last year.
Warm water and nice sandy beach. Change areas and toilets available.
A sandy, fairly warm beach with modest seaweed in the water. It's mostly in the first few meters of water then it clears up quite well. The waves are gentle and the beach itself isn't rocky along the bulk of it. It's a great place to go with friends and family and there's usually plenty of space to set a towel down (at least after 5pm when we usually go there is). Seems dog-friendly too, as we see lots of pups when we go.
I love the clear pristine cold and refreshing water at this beach. Best to go early on a morning for a dip when everything is calm and no waves.
Nice sandy beaches
It was too cold yet on June 13th
Beautiful beach, nice sand, warm water. Downsides are lack of parking and very crowded on busy days.
Awesome beach cops leave you alone alc. Is ok
Great Sandy Beach, but is usually very crowded
Beautiful spot for a short walk. A short bridge separates fresh water and the ocean. Was grateful there were change rooms as well as toilets on site.
Awesome beach bathrooms changing rooms
Very good and calm.
Very clean
Being from Queensland, Australia, when I saw this place while I was out driving I just had to stop.
Very nice park with parking and beach, washroom and change room are also on site. It is a good visit when not raining. There is also a small lake you can canoe with. Pretty neat place for a good rest.
Beautiful beach, even in winter!
Beautiful beach, but waves are to strong for little kids. And always a fresh breeze.
Beauty of a beach. Go there when school in otherwise so crowded in summer.
Love this place my dogs do as well hate that the road washed out but there is plenty of parking and the beach is clean
Just raw beauty!
Nice warm water. Gets a little crowded though.
Great spot to photograph the sunrise
Gotta love the ocean
A+ 10/10 would sit on the rocks and look into the sea again
Not very busy in the winter, so it's perfect for nice relaxing walks on the beach during the sunset.
My Favorite beach in the sourhshore after Carters beach.
Beautiful
Lively with lots of people!
Was so beautiful! Water was warm for the Atlantic (record hot summer though) sand was amazing, facilities were clean, lifeguards walked up beach often. Only cons were parking was annoying, beach was crowded and there were no food/drink options.
Very good in early morning when there are no people
Don't get me wrong. Queensland Beach is beautiful but it's a casualty of it's own popularity. Which is risky in these times.
My favorite beach to stop in and just enjoy the beauty. Lots of parking!! Warm waters!!
Sometimes the water is warm and sometimes it is but either way it is gorgeous here.
So much fun climbing over the beautiful rounded rocks bare footed and admiring the twisty white sun scorched tree stumps
Fantastic in mist and rain today! Lifeguards on duty too.... Up on their towers looking out for folks!
Love bringing my children here. While smoking and Marijuana are both legal; I would prefer not to sit in clouds of both smokes while visiting this is my only complaint.
it's the beach its warm its Nova Scotia no need to say more
Water was freezing but it was a beautiful beach
Love this place
Magnificent serene location
Nice sandy beach. Can be crowded. Great place to enjoy the ocean.
A great Beach for families.
Great sands cool water has a life guard on duty
The road is under construction in some area but there is a parking lot available. The beach is still beautiful.
Beautiful beach, crystal clear water!
I gave birth on this beach and the life guards helped me deliver! My baby boy is named garrison and hes very cute Thanks so much hannah and emily for the help in giving birth to my beautiful son!!
Beautiful!
I wish I were ready for this thay were flying right over my car fantastic seen
Plenty of nice beach however, there is lots of sea gunk in the water but all in all it's very warm and pleasant.
It is a beautiful place even in the winter!
It was a beautiful day... lots of families with their children and white sand to walk on... the water was a little cold.
Queensland is a beautiful beach with clean sand and fairly warm water. We went on Monday around noon, and the beach was not very crowded. We will definitely return!
Beautiful ocean and beach
Awesome views mostly blocked by new rock wall
Beautiful beach with abundant natural views!
Good spot for quiet reflection and a walk to enjoy the beach!
Quiet place to walking the beach in the fall and winter ...rather packed durning the summer but still a good place to go and relax
Childhood memories, and a touch of reality - new retaining wall/breakwater. Still a beautiful beach.
Right now this is a dangerous area. They are finally repairing the road. Why was this not done before summer???? Parking only on the main #3 hwy. Be careful people.
Great beach weather is usually warm compared to other beaches around HRM. I highly recommend bringing goggles with you , if you swim out a little bit the water is clear and there is lots to see. Only downfall is parking fills up quick as it's not a very big beach so it's best to go early
Lots of parking and nice view
One of my all time favorite beaches!
Beautiful spot
Small comfy strip of beach with quite a view. Sometimes gets crowded.
Parking is always tricky, especially on hot beach days.
Great place to watch strom surges.
So beautiful
This is a long beach so there is usually plenty of room. You can park for free right beside it so you'll only need to carry your stuff a short distance. They also have changing rooms and bathrooms.
Great Beach close to the city.
Nice beach, popular with families. WARM weather for November! LOL ????
Beautiful. Great sand
Nice warm sand, hard to find a spot to park.
Always a beautiful place to swim. Sometimes a bit crowded so get there early.
Very nice place to go. First place I went to touch the ocean after being away for a year.
It's funny watching the fog roll in & out every 10 mins
This beach is too crowded. It's best to drive a little further down the coast if you want some space to set up a towel.
A blustery day. Start of storm
Nice beach need to be there early it can get pretty busy
Beautiful beach
Rivals any other beach in the universe...
Beautiful beach
Sandy Beach
Nice beach. Usually good for swimming. Can get very busy.
One of the nicer beaches in the Halifax region. Parking might be tricky if you dont' arrive early.
Beautiful beach
Beautiful beach on the south shore of NS
Jumped in the ocean for first time in 2 looooong hard years& it was dark out pitch black outside on one evening mid November 2017 N I still feel great! Never knew till now tho the beauty of my surroundings when I ran down some stairs through the sand and dov head first into the cold black Ocean I'd missed so greatly.!! So i must say Thank you to a new friend Matt Slaney who made my wish come true for me to jump in the ocean for the first time in far to many years at this beautiful location &it was a perfect first impression forsure & a spontaneous thrilling adventure one could never forget!! I'll definitely be here summer 2018 ♡
Beautiful and awesome looking out to the ocean..
Great beach. Be sure to visit!
Best beach!!
Nice beach, good views, cleenish sand. Not very big though.
I love it but it gets crowded
Very lovely beach with good parking and a lake on the other side of the parking lot.
Great beach!
Go to Crystal Crescent instead! This beach is pretty, but I just want to point out for those that are not local, that this beach is directly off the road. It's kind of like swimming right next to a busy road. There isn't a "park" at all. The beach is very narrow and it's quite rocky. Sand is fine and nice, no shells, lots of bugs though. The water is no warmer than any other beach here, so that is misleading. The sun is very intense because of the lake right behind causes a dual reflection effect. It is well-maintained and clean. Camping style restrooms & changing rooms with no latch.
Great beach.
Nice beach
Great big beach and you can drive on it.
Very beautiful tonight
It's not what it used to be when we were kids. A lot has changed. The canteen that was once there is now since gone, there's not as much sand as there used to be but that still doesn't take away from the beauty of the beach. I still love it.
A popular beach with lifeguards and plenty of parking. There's always a spot to lay down your towel no matter how busy it appears. We live nearby so it's always a nice short trip to visit but the temperature sometimes can drop quite a bit from what you may find in the city on that particular day.
Great place to enjoy the Sun
Amazing beach
Nice view, but beach was full of seaweeds
Love the ocean
It is one of the warmest beaches here, but it's smaller and has bugs/ants
Another great spot to visit rving
Gorgeous beach when I visited in the Winter months.
The beach area and parking lot are much improved. The line of large rocks keeping debris out of the parking lot, and keeping the tides from washing out the parking lot is great!! Was there for new year day and it was lovely even for January! Worth a visit.
Awesome Beach close to HRM!
Nice view
Nice little beach on our way from Lunenburg to Halifax. The waters was not a pristine as I had hoped. Did not go for a swim because of that. The water temperature in August was a little cold compared to PEI. It was a nice place to relax and soak in some sun. It had a all sandy beach with a rock portion as well. Not too bad at all.
Beautiful beach and the sound of the waves is very relaxing
Went in swimming October 11 th
The most consistent and delicious food in Halifax with the best views of the harbor.
Beautiful beach with lots of parking.
Fantastic sand beach
Clean beach with lifeguards
Smallish beach, very popular.
AWESOME!!!...25° out, water feels like it's 55 ...Sea-Doo's drifting out on the water...There was this big guy who was trying to float his miniature sailboat in the water....And then it KEPT TIPPING OVER ON HIM!!!
Great beach, with warm water for the Atlantic coast. Parking sucks when it gets busy.
Nice whitesand beach.beautiful ocean view.
Beautiful beach regardless of the time of year! Always lots of big waves and beautiful white sand. This beach has lots of parking and is very busy in the summer. Be sure to check the tide times and arrive early to get the best suntanning spot!! 12/10 would visit again!!
Easy to park, super quick to get on to the beach. And the water's great! Mind the potholes on the parking lot, though! ????
Beautiful spot!
Beautiful place to walk and see the ocean!
Lovely sandy beach. Outhouses and stalls to change. Entrance and exit to road are less than ideal.
Beautiful beach with warm for NS water, but a lot of people. Has changing rooms, washroom, safeguard this year. No place to wash the feet after sand
Too many pot holes and although I understand why the rock wall adjacent to the road is so high (to prevent the road from washing out again in storms) it's disappointing as you can no longer see the beach. In the winter it's nice to just park and watch the water and waves but with the high rock wall you can no longer enjoy this.
Great sandy, crystal clear water beaches.
Relaxing
Nice beach. Be early, not a lot of parking
Amazing place. Fantastic view especially. Definitely a paradise.
Beautiful beach, really cold though. The place was packed so we had to wait for free parking and search a small spot on the beach.
The beach itself is beautiful. Nice sand and lots of room. We arrived around 9 am and we were among the first people there - later in the day it can get very busy. There is also a little lake across the street which is a nice spot for my baby, who is a little too young for waves, to play. The only downside is that there are no garbage cans inside the washrooms, which many women and others who have personal items to dispose of will know is an inconvenience.
Awesome ???? beach
Personally my favourite beach along the coast just south of Halifax. It can get busy on hot summer days but soft sand and gorgeous ocean view is always worth it.
Awesome waves, nice beach , lots of people
Nice
Great little beach, always popular. Close to town.
This was my 1st beach ⛱ visit... Very nice area here ....beautiful view very clean..the water ???? looks like it never ends here ... With a 2nd area that is absolutely beautiful
It will take some time to rebuild after the storm
Beautiful spot for a walk all year round.
A good day trip out of HRM. Warm waters to swim and boogie board in.
Close to Halifax. Bathroom on sit.
Scenic and clean beach.....
Beautiful day beautiful beach
Was nice
Beautiful beach
Very nice beach, but very busy
It was very clean no garbage
Nice beach to get some sun, the water is cold but can swim nicely
Beautiful, untouched landscape. Alot of seweed, and dead jellyfish, but water was good.
Nice site seeing
Once of my favourite beaches!
(Translated) It was very windy, so surfing was fun, and I enjoyed playing in the sand! I couldn't play for a long time because it was cold, but the sand is very soft and there is a life guard! There were a lot of people, but parking was not difficult as there were only one or two parking spaces! There are no marts or convenience facilities nearby, so bring plenty of snacks and drinks!
It seems like the water is usually warmer than other beaches, very lovely spot for a short walk, a swim or a hang-about. Near Hubbards' amenities, has change huts and outhouses. Very easy access, right off the main road
Always love coming to this beach every summer!
Narrow Beach, but warmer water than elsewhere in NS. Check the tides before you go. High tide leaves very little beach.
Queensland beach with its white sugar sand and a pink and turquoise sunset - heaven!
The Riviera of Nova Scotia
Smaller beach. Not very wide but long. There was a lifeguard on duty. They don’t seem to clean the beach so it was covered with seaweed which was quite smelly. I will consider bringing a garden rake next time to clear a spot. Bring your own umbrella because there are no trees along the beach. There is a hamburger stand across the street but no other food around. There are change rooms and outhouse type washrooms but no running water or hand sanitizer so bring your own.
Stay away
Beautiful beach
Nice beach even in April
Stopped by to put our feet in the water and couldn't help ourselves. We took the plunge. Water was so awesome that we jumped in with our clothes on. Love the waves and beautiful sand. My new favorite beach for sure.
Scenery and sea air
The best beach in Nova Scotia
Beautiful and popular beach with rustic change rooms and toilets.
Confusing to get in and out
Sun and warm water!
Lots of improvements to parking, great waves.
Wonderful beach! Large, gravel parking lot that fills up quickly on a nice day. Gorgeous views and warm ocean water (early September). Huge waves but there were a lot of people swimming. -Outhouses on site and separate change rooms (so you don't have to smell the outhouse while you change) -Soft, white sand
Great beach if you get there early very popular
Beautiful but still recovering from a storm several years ago.
We love going to Queensland Beach. There’s so much sand and it’s quite long. Great for taking walks and it very rarely feels over crowded. The water seems to be warm enough for swimming more often than other beaches in the area and I love that it is fairly easy to access by bicycle. Like many beaches and provincial parks in NS, there isn’t much parking on site, so unless you arrive very very early in the day, expect to park on the side of the highway and walk about 1-2km to get to the beach. It’s worth it!!!
5 star beach
Great beach, but parking can be a pain.
Probably my favorite beach in all of Nova Scotia! Warm crystal clear water, decent waves, and always good company!
Small pack all summer
New parking lot, clean well maintained place, good for familys with small kids
Great spot. Water was warm.
This was a great beach we found all kinds of treasures
The beach was wonderful & relaxing!
Great food and fast service
Beautiful beach! Convenient change rooms and outhouses. Lots of sand!
In love with this beach. Could use a wee bit more allowed parking tho. ????????♀️
Great beach. Has outhouses, change rooms, and lifeguards. Can get crowded.
The view is worth driving and just watching the sun set
Crowded but that's because it's a good beach
Great place.
Fabulous sandy beach in beautiful NS
Always a favorite place to go
Lovely spot to hang out!
Beautiful sand beach and warm water.no rocks underfoot to hurt feet. Only suggestion would be to rake seaweed When it.is on the beach and close to shore. They do it in Dominican and works very well. I saw seaweed for sale in Costco today roasted and seasoned I am sure someone would make a good business from the seawood.
Stunning day.
Lovely Beach
Nice beach. Still better one's to he found.
My favorite place to be. This beach is amazing....????
Beautiful place
Beautiful end of February day!!!
Beautiful little beach!
My go to beach. The sand is granular.
Nice beach...a bit smaller though
Great sandy Beach. Can be really busy on hot summer days.
My favorite salt water beach the water is warmer then most and you dont have to walk far to hit the sand.
Gorgeous beach
Great beach close to halifax
Usually the busiest, landscape has changed over the past few years.
It's pretty crowded on weekends.
Beautiful scenery. But rough parking lot.
It is considered THE beach for many HRM residents. There are many good beaches around it, but this one is the most popular. On a good day you will probably be parking roadside because there will be a huge crowd.
We love it. Lots of sand. Great beach just off road. Watch out for huge multiple pothole in parking lot.
Never again! Millions of bugs crawling over you. Piles of bug carcasses on the shore Definitely no return visits. Stayed 20 minutes and left. Went to Rissers which was bug free!
White sand. Nice spot with lots of parking
Not enough parking
Beautiful
We were the only vehicle in parking lot. There was 1 person in swimming . Some of the waves were about 2 feet high Fog Bank about half way across the Bay Was raining. When warm weather is here you need be there earley if you want to park anywhere near the beach. It's very busy spot in nice weather This beach is a beautiful spot for swimming
A fantastic spot
Very nice beach
Sun, sand, friends and fam.
The beach water was really warm , the sand went on for miles & the beach had a lifeguard ... The water always had people swimming in it ❤
I don't want everyone to know about this place
Beautiful
Awesome beach
Awsome beach
We just happened to stumble across this beach when driving to Halifax and I'm so glad we did! Its a cute little beach that is open to the public and has lots of parking available. There are a couple rocks but it is mostly sandy which makes it very easy to walk into the water. Changeroom and washroom facilities are also available. The water was very cold when we were there but that didn't stop us from going in and enjoying the waves! Such a fun time!
Beautiful Sandy beach
Very busy, and quite small but nice.
Soft white sand
Awesome beach...great place to walk and watch the waves.
A quaint little beach for both humans, and leashed dogs.
A great spot. We appreciated the lovely family across the road that allows you to park on their property for 5$ They are soooo nice.
One of my favorite places to go Surfs up big time
More parking would be great.
One of my favorite local beaches.
Nice clean beach.
Small but busy
Clean beach and the water was warmer than expected.
Small beach very scenic drive taking the number 3. Very busy in summer, but in a nice winter day great place for a walk.
Loved it
(Translated) That's what's in NS's most beautiful -park. (Original) To co w NS najpiękniejszego -park.
One of my favorite spots. Lifeguards and always clean
Lovely beach day! If there was erosion from a washout, it's all fixed now. Thought the beach was fine, not overly crowded, found parking no problem, nice long beach, pretty spot, changing rooms, and bathrooms, would definitely recommend it!
Nice picnic spot!
Beautiful
Very crowded
Hard to get to from atv trail
Beautiful spot
It's the bizzeach, brizzother! Great spot.
I find the view calming in the off season. Really like the gentle woosh of turning waves on the sand. Lots of great memories from years ago.
Great beach
Queensland Beach really is a great beach to spend the day. I gave it 4 stars because you sometimes have to be careful with children in the water. The waves can pull small children into the water, so keeping a close eye is a must. The beach is clean and a popular spot. There is a life guard on duty during the summer months and on-site changing room facilities. There is a parking lot, but that fills up quick, so if you want a spot, head out early. Otherwise, you can park on a side street. There isn’t a restaurant in walking distance, so keep that in mind.
Great spot for the Family...lots of room to have your own little piece of beach to chill
It was beautiful
Loved it, super sandy , no rocks, perfect for families, but everyone welcome
Went around 9 a.m only a few people there. Great time for a swim
Live the swimming here
Nice sandy beach with easy access and parking. Great place to spend a sunny afternoon. Busy but enjoyable and lots space to throw a towel down and relax.
Too crowded
(Translated) Too bad there is no shower ... (Original) Dommage qu il n y ai pas de douche...
Beautiful.
Beautiful beach but can be crowded in the summer!!
It was cold and windy the day there.
White sand beach that has lifeguards on duty for July and August (10am to 6pm). It has change rooms, moderate amount of parking and apparently a good spot to find sand dollars if you are there early enough to beat the rest of the beach combers. Across the way is Comeau's which give right of way to the St. Margaret's Bay Trail. From this point it is almost 4.5km on the trail to Hubbards, where the trail turns into the Aspotogan Trail.
A good beach to relax
It's a beach!
Parking, change rooms, easy access.
I loved it
It's amazing beach
Beautiful
Great spot for swimming in the summer
Awesomeness
Beautiful, great place to spend the day.
The scenery is breathtaking.
Love the beaches on this shore....
