Great little museum run by volunteers. Very well preserved lighthouse and history. Best find of the season exploring Nova Scotia's eastern shore this summer.

Due to Covid the interpretive center did not open in the summer of 2021, signs state it's closed. The grounds are still open to explore and enjoy. Beautiful views abound, great place for a hike.

Really amazing scenery, very well maintained grounds, plenty of trails and a couple of fantastic beaches, and the lighthouse is wheelchair accessible with parking close by.

Simply beautiful. The port bickerton lighthouse and surrounding trails are one of Nova Scotia’s best kept secrets. Absolutely stunning trails along the coast, or through the forest. Take in the incredible views from the observer deck. Definitely worth the drive !!

Went on a rainy day so didn't spend too long here. Its a nice view with surrounding trails. Fee signs posted and info house closes around 5pm.

It was a beautiful day for a walk to the Lighthouse Beach. The boardwalks are terrific. Even for old folks. Lol. Enjoyed it so much.

Beautiful lighthouses and interpretive centre in Port Bickerton! Incredibly easy to access. Volunteers at the interpretive centre were friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their lighthouse. Full tour inside, including a climb to the top of the light tower. The other lighthouse on the property is the currently active light, operated by the coast guard and inaccessible. There is a room that can be rented by the week, and clean bathrooms. Plenty of walking trails and a beautiful sandy beach. Inside, information on all of Nova Scotia's lighthouses, and a lovely gift shop featuring local artisans, including work from the artist in residence, who spends two weeks living on the property. Homemade fudge and refreshments also available. Cash only.
