A hidden gem of a place. Hearing natures subwoofer as the waves crash against the back of the caves is amazing.

The caves are beautiful. It's a shame that they are being monetized like this. It would be one thing if the paths were kept up well, and maintained safely, but they just aren't. 10 bucks a head to see a part of Canada that should be open to all is just . . . . Pathetic. The petting zoo, is also just a cage with some depressed animals in it that you can't get to. You wouldn't want to though, as it smells so horrible back there. I don't know what to say. The caves should be a national park, and not a roadside attraction kept from the public by some people who just want to make money.

The Ovens are great to explore with CAUTION! The Camp sites if you have a trailer / motor home is the pits! Way too close together. Washrooms need to be fixed! Same with the showers. Tent sites are better! Even with a rock in your back! They are milking this site to death! They have squeezed in as many sites that they can! I love N.S.! But bring lots of money! Cooked Lobster was $26 A POUND! In the grocery store it was $5 99 a pound ! Even I could borrow a pot to boil up a few from other campers. 5 Pounds of Lobsters and butter and other seafood ( All alive too) came out too about $40 for 4 people! READ THE REVIEWS FIRST!

We had a great time. The caves are awesome, and the food at the Miner Diner was tasty. We didn't even realize that we could go check out the animals at the small animal farm. Our toddler would have loved that. The only drawback is that some of the serviced sites were very close together. Besides that, we enjoyed our trip and we'll visit again one day.

We have a wonderful experience in Oven Natural Park. Especially the 1.5 km trail. There is no boring long hike, After parking the car the gold panning beach is right in front of us. Less than 100m is the trail head. View of the art of the …

What an impressive delight! I came here on the first day it opened for the season to check out the tunnels and caves and I was not disappointed. The views are spectacular and I learned a lot about the history of gold mining in the area. I explored the campground while I was here and it was beautiful as well. The trails are worth checking out for anyone who likes taking a walk in stunning scenery. Definitely a stop worth making in Nova Scotia.

Unlike every other campground in the province, the Ovens refused to open their pool. They stated it was due to Covid over the phone but today a staff told me it was due to understaffing, yet they had plenty of staff to walk around the playground making sure the kids didn't touch the swingless swingset. The dump site for campers was closed "due to covid" so we had to take the camper to another campground and pay a fee to dump at another campground. We tried to cancel 3 days after our reservation was confirmed but their policy is 2 days. We explained that with 2 small children, having their pool, playground and animal area all closed would not leave much to do, but they didn't budge. The animal area that was closed evidently houses a rooster that crows at 5am consistently until around 8am. So any sites in the area near the playground, be ready for an alarm clock for 5am. The staff upon entry were rude to my husband who was in his car listening to her explain the many rules because he wouldnt wear a face mask while in his car(he also has a medical reason). Overall we had a very sour taste from start to finish. Wouldn't recommend for anyone with children. Or anyone who likes to sleep until 8am on vacation.

The Ovens is a beautiful natural park that is well worth the visit, either for the day or for a camping trip. The camping grounds are well maintained with full service sites or tent sites. The ocean view is spectacular and the cave trail is an enjoyable low impact hike. The people that work there are all friendly and helpful and always have a smile. My family and I stayed there for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. Plus the price is excellent. Do yourself a favor and make sure this is a stop you make when visiting Nova Scotia.
