Another pic of the Old Town Clock.Part of Halifax's history.Prince Edward,Duke of Kent built the clock because of the tarty solders showing up for duty.So hard to get help and to show up on time.You walk around the city,you get a scene of the old and the new of Halifax.Glad to see the clock still works so that the good people of Halifax can show up for work on time.

The old town clock is the most recognized landmarks in the historic urban core of Halifax. This place is beautiful ???? and surrounded with grass. A lot of place to sit with friends, family and alone. A road goes behind the clock. One can park the vehicle and sit for sometime ????. I didn't find anything to do there. But i will suggest to visit to this place for once ????

Probably the most iconic monument in Halifax. Sits on Citadel Hill overlooking the harbour and downtown area. The clock works and it's a place people go to sit in the grass and relax with lunch.

LOVE this part of the Citadel complex!! The clock itself is great to have, and is a lovely part of the city's rich historical heritage, but the stairs there also provide a direct route from downtown Halifax to the top of the Citadel - great exercise and you can go up there at lunch time if you work in the downtown area, and just relax and breathe the fresh air (and Halifax has MUCH better air quality than most cities, mainly because it has so much "green space" all over the place, and vast numbers of trees.
