It's a nice point to stop for a summer picnic, but not much to see in regards to a lighthouses, comparatively. It was closed, so I didn't get a look inside.

The day we were here it was pouring / pelting sideways rain, the clouds were dark and grey and the fog bank was socked in. We could only see a very small circle of choppy water, everything was dripping. Inside was incomprehensibly tiny - it's amazing to remember that not only was this a working lighthouse up until the 70's, it was part of a family home. Up the stairs so steep they are almost a ladder, we sat on a bench and watched a video of the stories told by a former resident. On the wall is coin - once you read the story of the coin, you'll be surprised and impressed. Up another stair ladder is where the light of the light house used to be. In a way, it was really wonderful to be able to experience in the rain - it makes you realise how vital they were.... and in the tiny wee gift shop we were delighted to see a copy of Frankie's book!

We visited this lighthouse while we were in the area filming with my company Atlantic Aerialworx. This lighthouse is smaller than the usual Lighthouse or what you expect but it's still has all the character of a lighthouse. It even has a little tourist information / gift shop inside of it. It's a great look off point and a great feature for the town of Liverpool.

Beautiful, just beautiful. Liverpool, Nova Scotia once a major shipbuilding town. Now just history. Beautiful views of the Mersey River. Fort Point Lighthouse is a lighthouse located outside the town of Liverpool in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. It was originally built in 1832 and was operational until 1954. A wonderful bright day when we visited here last May as we spent 3 months touring Canada.

Other than the historic aspect, there was not much to do there because of how small it was

Sebastian Kluth

Fort Point Lighthouse Park is a small but beautiful park and probably the most interesting thing to visit in Liverpool. You can go inside the lighthouse, buy a souvenir, watch a movie and try out the foghorn. Admission is free. The only downside is that the windows inside the lighthouse are so dirty that it's quite impossible to take a good picture of the surrounding landscapes.

Very interesting look into a forgotten piece of our history in this area of the country, piracy and privateers. Small but warm and cozy tour of the installation now a fraction of what it was. Takes maybe an hour in total to see it all. Great views of the bay to imagine the good ol' days

Cute lighthouse next to a small park with a picnic area and a short walk along the water. Great to stop by, take a breather, and enjoy the scenery. There were some boards with information about the lighthouse and the nature surrounding the area. There is limited parking available (6 spots?) near the lighthouse, but there are also some street parking on the way there. Keep a look out for some very uniquely painted fire hydrants in the area.

Archie's Baby

Great little park with plaques explaining the history of the area. Learnt alot!
